Looping is unique? I'mma just disregard you from now on if you call walking in circles almost all game long unique.
Sorry, I forgot every horror game consists of looping and chasing like DBD. DBDs chasing and chasing mechanics are extremely unique. The only other game like it is Identity V, which is a copy.
-
I hope not too. I don't really see any need for it to be nerfed. Sure, its strong. But it isn't like it's super OP and broken.
-
First match: Survivor -time to wait for a lobby: 6 seconds -the other survivors just repared one gen while I was getting chased.
You should not be using NOED on Huntress. Complete waste of a slot

Not everyone has your issue. My issue is the oposite, there are not enough killers on ps4. So yeah some people dont like playing killer also because they feel survs are op.

https://youtu.be/leQwLD7N0DI This video shows why killers complain about the generator time, IMO a solo survivor doing a generator on 80sec (maybe 75 or less with toolbox) is fine but when multiple survivors can make one generator on less than 35 secs it gets ridiculous.
I mean, your fault for leaving the 3 gen and giving them the opportunity to do the gen.
-
Main topics: Stealth Based game, Game changes, survivor changes (making them realistic) and killer buffs,
The reason this game is still surviving and has a loyal playerbase is because of looping. It makes the game very unique, and is for the majority of players much more fun than stealth. Making this a stealth based game would kill it.

The solution is simple. The gates should regress.๐
Or as you say "git gud" and don't let it get to that stage of the game.
-
No more killers that make it a guessing game.

I was getting this message a lot yesterday because of SWF now I can't play at all. I think I've been doxed
I'm getting this problem too. It just keeps saying Network Error and logging me out. Even though I'm connected to the internet.

I mean, I'm a rank 1 killer on PS4 and I don't really find it hard at all. Almost every survivor is a complete 4head

But yea I play on Xbox. It pisses me off when people go "oh you play on console" like I'm some sort of buffoon that can barely walk in a straight line and have no concept of what a video game is or something.
I'd be willing to bet that most PC players would get stomped by the best console players, because if you are good at the game it doesn't matter what platform you use.
I also find it funny how this person thinks people in his region are better than other regions. How would you even know if you never play outside your region?
If I'm thinking the same person you are, you're definitely right. He has a massive ego lol

Okay for starters flashlight saves are so easy to do rarely do they fail once you know what you're doing which is all the time, plus they're annoying as all hell to deal with and waste so much time + are uncounterable without lightborn.
Literally just bait it and hit them. Force them away a bit, face the opposite direction and pick them up. It isn't hard. I haven't gotten flashlight saved as a killer in ages.

Streamers are not the be-all and end-all for opininions/facts. Also, this is not a 1v1 game... Any killer should be able to end a chase within a reasonable amount of time. With Nurse, I can understand the call for nerfs but not Spirit.
Spirit is powerful, yes, but not overly so. Good survivors have a chance at escaping if she is good too. My advice would be to remain aware of when you are making sound and leaving scratch marks. Also, spine chill is an incredible perk and is beneficial againsts any killer other than tier one Myers. If you are never able to escape a good(or bad) Spirit then perhaps you should watch videos on how to counter her.
In short, learn how to better play against a good Spirit. All that needs to be changed with her is prayer beads.
Guessing doesn't involve skill.
-
The game is fun and all but I know friends that refuse to try the game because of a multitude of problems getting into.
Yeah, it's pretty damn rough.

Just think, if you fail at stealth, and you fail at juking, you can press E to give you another chance and make her chase you longer. While at the same time your 3 people are humping a gen. The clock is ticking.
Or I can dead hard but you use your third blink

This has been discussed before and survivors simply did not want to listen, as usual.
First let's deal with the main problem of design intent: the killer is robbed of both choice and a crucial mitigation against other options that survivors have or 2nd-chances, without which those 2nd-chances too are without a mitigation or counter-play. Even the robust case against hook-camping(which survivors don't make any more; they avoid pushing for higher standards across the board) accepted that killers had a valid reason to camp a hook after the generators were completed; there is no longer a cause to apply map-pressure that is worthwhile. DS by itself actually punishes the killer for NOT tunnelling or camping much earlier in the game, but waiting until the end when it's a no-brainer tactic, but combine with with any other 2nd-chance perk and it's game-breaking. The killer is not making a choice at all, but is being forced to lose one way or the other.
Killers could mitigate against this, by stacking up a build entirely for the end-game; but do survivors really want that to become the case when many of them already can't stand NOED?
Secondly is an issue that was raised not long after the DS change, which is that even if the killer doesn't tunnel, the survivor is 100% safe as long as a locker is close enough. They can stay go interfere with a chase already in progress and jump in a locker, so the killer goes to check it but has no choice in picking them up and getting struck.
It allows survivors to play like ######### just fine, but it's killer who is punished by default for not min-maxing, far from being an #########. This isn't a punishment by sound strategy either; it's imposed by design, whether the killer has done anything 'wrong' or not.
Not gonna read an entire book, so just gonna say that the counter to DS is to not go for the person who was unhooked. It isn't that hard

People like you are the problem. You dont want to improve vs nurse. That is a you problem not balance. Literally git good.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/577060#Comment_577060
Again you are wrong. The Ohtofu video has now been ripped apart many times, he mostly played vs 3 people in one they even did get to "2 gens" left. LuL as 3 survivors, when i you know shred survivors with every m1 killer there is when it is vs 3. LUL The sick broken op nurse lmao. I dont remember if it was in this discussion or the other, I went to Ohtofus livestream, when I asked him some questions about nurse, he wanted to proof how OP she was without me even requesting that.
Guess what happened? XD 4MAN escape, while he claimed in the other video even him as mediocre nurse is only 4k ez pz. Anyway he almost cried, made lots of excuses about framedrops and yelled "this game doesn't count". Yeah lmao ofc it doesn't count because it was proof that he was wrong.
No counterplay in a chase? No that has been found out to be wrong too. Tru3 made a build for that and many nurses lost him, the end results in mostly kills for the nurse. But the funny thing is that is due to the other 3 survivors running builds that want to be against m1 killers... so yeah sorry but you are wrong. Just because you are unable to juke into stealth, doesn't mean it is impossible. But see it from the bright side, there is something besides pressing m1 and running to the next pallet you can learn now.
"Tru3 made a build for that and many nurses lost him"
Pretty cool that you have to have an anti Nurse build to counter her in a chase
-
@Sluzzy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/576166#Comment_576166
No, but you have a lot of maps that is easy to juke the nurse, making it more difficult for her than for other killers: Rotten Fields, Treatment Theatre, Family Residence.
Pretty hard to dodge 3 blinks

try to minimize endgame chat. Or, just say gg and leave. Try not to let them get the best of you and just enjoy the game. :)

If you support the standard that 'no possible play in this game should be without a viable counter-play', then you'll find much consensus on that.
You will however be inviting a discussion on what other features of the game that standard should apply to. Is it right that once a survivor starts looping, the only counter-play for non-Nurse killers involves banking on the survivor making a mistake?
What is the counter-play to Decisive Strike? Currently the only one is to wait for it to run out, meaning the killer is stalled whether they stand there watching or go do something else. That's not so much a counter-play as it is forcing a catch-22.
There are numerous other examples that can be brought up, but if the devs incorporated 'no plays unless there are counter-plays' into their balance principle; survivors would be the ones who come off worse for it.
"What is the counter play to Decisive Strike"
LOL

Just give killers a 25% Boost per survivor in swfs. So killers have more incentive to not lobby dodge.
And then once you balance more, remove it.

I dont think anyone here appreciates your unhelpful pessimistic views. Online gaming is fun and you should not suggest her to avoid online gaming because she points out very valid truths about dbd, aka bottom of the online gaming totem pole and we all know it. You should keep it to yourself in the future because no ones asking for your advice on whether to play this or not. This forum, after over 3 years of development with almost no progress towards fixing the core issues of their 1 game mode, needs more real player posts like this. And less pathetic suck ups that would rather say good riddance to the player rather than admit this games endless faults. Admit that a multitude of people quit this game regularly and never come back, instead of wearing a mask that the player base has been consistent. Look how many new players there are recently... so why isnt the player base going up? Everyone that plays is new, because once you get enough hours you become fed up with the inconsistency within the game code and you eventually quit. It's a cycle every time they release a new licensed killer, an entire fan base erupts because they enjoy the theme of that killer (I only got this game because I wanted to play as amanda the pig since I love saw movies). Eventually experiencing the lag, switching, tunneling, camping, dcing, broken lobby's, sandbagging teamates, pallets not working, models breaking, teleporting over maps, never getting hit then dying, having question Mark's over your head when the killer swings at a window then you get teleported back into the window, realizing reporting is just an autoban system with no appeals, you watch a Dbd stream and see how little the devs understand their own game, how they conduct themselves with such narcissism. You need to stop living in fairytale land where we think they did a pretty good job so far. Wake up and give the feedback the devs need to hear to fix this mountain of issues. Stop putting sprinkles on it. It's been 3 ######### years and they've made mountains of cash. For a game I love, it's hard to say it but its time to earn your stay dbd team because open your eyes, the game has been dying, and new killer every 3 months isnt enough life support to keep it going.
Its kept it going for 3 years so.

So, its okay if survivors force the killer into a playstyle (looping), but when the killer does it, its suddenly not so okay anymore? Did I get that right?
The thing is, a survivor is being forced into a "hope the don't see me or I have no chance" style. At least looping has ######### counter play. A Nurse who knows what she is doing in a chase has none.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/575659#Comment_575659
Stop grasping for straws honestly.
You lack points completely, what you say is. I know what the counterplay is but I do not wanna use it, cause i want to do the same as always. Talking about skill&experience while ignoring the actual counterplay. Take any game like tekken, dota whatever, the thing has a counterplay and people refusing to use it and crying for change they are nothing but a joke at best.
Against legion it is utterly dumb to group up, people who do it usually fail the game. People who contest basement vs bubba die, sorry no. You wanna do the dumb thing and get away with it. Pure entitlement cause you can not be bothered to use stealth.
My point about skill being irrelevant is true. Because she has no counter play in a chase. Say "just stealth" all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that she has no chase counter play. How can you not realize that every killer should have this? Literally just go watch the OhTofu video if you want to see my point.

Translation: I want them to be loopable.
Translation: I want them to have more chase counter play. With Spirit, skill is once again irrelevant, as it is just a guessing game. With Nurse, she ignores any knowledge of tiles and game mechanics. So not much chance to use any skill.
