That's one side of the coin. I found a couple infinites on reworked maps and I'm talking legit infinites that are not mindgame-able with multiple longwall windows facing each other and leading right into the shack window with safe pallets in between.
I will record it next time I encounter those ridiculous loops (found them on reworked Azarov, too).
Anyway as @EvanSnowWolf said that's a map design and rng issue, not a Bubba issue. Any killer will dominate if the map spawns with nothing but deadzones.
Difference is Bubbu a one shot M2. Least you can try to make it to something with other killers if uninjured.

This sounds like "I am annoyed my 360 tactic doesn't work" rather than any problem with Leatherface.
More like a problem with how they are doing maps lately....which this killer especially benefits greatly from.
No pallets or safe areas here in 1/4th the map.

People are still complaining about LF, he can be looped like basic M1 killer, if you find yourself in the open that is YOUR fault, he is mid tier killer.
Most of these new maps redesigns like autohaven - are open, unless you don't want to do gens and give him the game.
-
Territorial Imperative - the Bill that I busted for crawling around in my basement was not amused.
-
Made fun of by who? The people that are trying to kill you? Who cares what some low tactics scum thinks who, when they see no obsession in game, will gleefully tunnel or camp without worry of bt or ds.

You really expecting any answers whatsoever here?

I tend to get Ruin games quite often, so it has at least activated almost every game. I tend to play with SWF, so I'm picked up most of the time, allowing myself to take a hit while having Endurance.
Solo queue here - so that's the huge difference. There you go OP - though Cheryl is awesome, I play her often. I may be becoming a Cheryl Main...

Depends what side you wish to play. I love Cheryl, and Soul Guard is very helpful in most of my games. Undying is being changed so that stacks between cleansed totems will transfer, and is overall a great way to get around Hex: totems being cleansed within the early game. Both perks are powerful, and can be combined with other perks for fantastic setups. It's all about which side you wish to play, really.
Wow. I've played over 60 games with Soul Guard and it's been useful once.
-
Worse when they cannot even talk to each other - like playing with brainless bots.
-
As a killer it in no way feels rewarding to me even if I win. They are lazy tactics that are for too strong a reward for the little effort put in.
When I beat survivors I want them to know it was because my play was superior - not because I used cheap tactics to win.
-
Don't carry them - let everyone de-pip. You'll get yours back fast - hopefully they won't.
-
I don't BM often but when I do - it's to shut Elodie up.
My Elodie has Calm Spirit permanently glued to her bar.
Oh and using that against a spirit, I know she is trying to kill you but that is almost a war crime.

When bill Didnt follow you, you should have just left. There's being a team player and then there is being stupid.
As Ive been told by devs, this isnt a team game. Bill Didnt get you killed, you got yourself killed.
Yeah it sucks being human and trying to do the right thing in this game.
-
I got one for you...but some justice came at the end.
All 5 gens done, Meg and me at the gate with 99% - 4th guy long dead and Bill gets downed by the killer. So yeah we're going to try not leaving any man behind even if that man did little to nothing up til this point. So Meg gets aggro and I get Bill off the hook and this is not very far from the nearly opened exit.
Meg goes down gets hooked even closer to the exit. Killer aggros me and I lead him to other side of the shack deeper into the map and away from hook, so Bill can make an easy save.
No save comes....I go down get hooked (this was a Bubba so very few pallets left at this point) and see Bill crouched at the other side of the map. Meg is struggling - I'm on my first hook cause unlike Bill I didn't go down within 10 seconds of a chase - and this Bill just camps what I'm certain is where the hatch is.
Dude could of easily saved Meg and both of them leave without any problem - but this guy decides to look for the hatch and camp it while Meg and I of us slowly die.
The only justice, I held on long as I could and the killer caught on to what was happening. They found Bill's hatch camping butt, and yes...downed him within 10 seconds to throw him on the hook.
-
Very much agreed - my policy is to never click on a vague titles anymore. I will ignore them.

@GodLikeTerror said:
I love giving hatch because I feel like being nice sometimes, and you know I understand why people rarely give survivors hatch, because no matter what you will do for them they will still talk like you are the lowest of the low. After I finished a round this nea complains to me about how boring the round was, and how my playstyle is garbage, because I never left a part of the map. I was on badham, and I stuck close to a 3 gen where everyone was at. It's like you can never please survivors 99% of the time. You can have a 12 hook game, and then get called names. I rarely ever see toxic behavior from killer whenever I play survivor. Yea I mean sometimes they will tunnel or whatever, but sometimes it's what you gotta do in order to get on a winning track. I don't take the game serious at all, and I play the least sweaty possible. Off meta builds, and pretty much go for 12 hook games only. I do win at least 95% of my matches, but the community wears you out quick. It's like no matter what you do somebody doesn't like it. Honestly out all of the years I've been playing video games. I without a doubt can officially say dbd has the most toxic player base I have ever seen, and I've been there for the old xbox days like old call of duty and stuff. People were super toxic, but they weren't as bad as I have seen in dbd. Hearing people complain because of their own misplays, and their own mistakes and putting it on the killer instead, because they aren't nearly as good as they think they are. Survivors precede to wonder why their que times are extremely high. That experience really showed me that no matter how nice you are on this game you still get hate for it.
There's always going to be people like that. The question is are you going to join them?
-
I can agree with this especially if you had a ready Deliverance, but another way of looking at it is you were hook free the entire match, up until the point that everyone else around you died instead.
-
@OGlilSPOOK20 said:
I did 1 gen by myself and the rest of the game was pretty much me running the killer for 4 gens.
I get downed when all gens are done so the killer doesn't have Noed, but my teammates actually decided to open the exit gates and legit straight up LEAVE ME!
I'm blown away..... I'm legit pissed. Like.... None of you had the balls to come save me?
Come to find out they're a 3 man swf. They didn't care if I died as long as it wasn't one of them. Like ######### are you serious?
Well least you didn't run the killer for the equivalent of four gens - but no gens actually got done.

If they kobe in my face earlier in the game.
Oh yes I hate this., They saved themselves earlier, they can save themselves now.

@TicTac said:
You are full health and you know the killer has no noed. You know he needs to hit you twice. There is no risk involved for you. Maybe the killer doesnt let you unhook, thats ok. But i doesnt hurt to look for an oppurtunity.
Whats the reason that this people leave immediately?
Well if someone pops the exit early and triggers EGC my current protocol is just to leave.
Otherwise I will always make an attempt to save unless they pissed me off for some reason.

I generally find most games are decently balanced. Even red rank SWFs don't mean guaranteed loss. But man, when a coordinated SWF team splits up on 4 separate gens and they all focus objectives, it seems borderline unwinnable especially if you're playing a killer with no mobility/teleports. This isn't a complain thread, mainly looking for tips as to how to deal with these situations?
I had a Billy game on Autohaven where they just constantly all were on separate gens. I got 2 hooks that game, but even with the chainsaw mobility I couldn't get enough pressure to keep them off gens and I think one big mistake was not committing to enough chases. I had pop but that wasn't enough to make a real difference. I was faced with either:
- Go for a chase, try to end it fairly quick and get a hook, at the risk of 3 other gens gaining 30-40+ seconds of progress depending on how many good loops the surv had (lots of small pallet loops on Autohaven). Go for another survivor, chase, they get 2 gens done and 1 halfway.
- Constantly chase them off gens, but then I don't get hooks and they just do 3 others anyway.
I just hit rank 4 and have plenty to learn, but I wonder what options I had there. Slugfest perhaps?
That's pretty much why most rando teams fail - they like to hop 3-4 on a gen right from the start of game...well guess what, you just have to be unlucky a little bit for the killer to turn that into a slaughterhouse.
Split up.
-
1) I'd rather be unhooked in the killer's face than left to go to struggle phase on my first hook.
2) I'd be happy if people didn't lead chases toward the hook...lead them away.
3) If I do go to struggle phase cause you took your sweet time UE'ing around me, don't all of a sudden feel like there's an emergency and unhook me in the killer's face.

yes. Sitting on a gen is really active intense gameplay
It's what the game forces survivors to do while waiting to get chased. Guess they don't have to do gens, but then everyone dies for sure.
-
If they figure out how to nerf camping and tunneling then I'd be all ears for DS nerfs.
Until then...not listening.
-
Hitboxes - I shouldn't have to say any more.
-
Should probably work on solutions that encourage people to keep playing in bad situations instead of just punishing them all the time.
People didn't care about de-piping multiple times before they aren't going to care about double de-piping and as pointed out earlier some people actually want to de-pip.

No of course not. That's why DS should be changed to deactivate when another survivor is hooked.
The situation that I am describing and what OP seem to be describing is pure tunneling. Its not different then downing the recently unhooked survivors and picking them up.
That's a bad call and makes camping stronger. Sometimes you have to trade hooks with a survivor because of a camp or a killer who likes to drop everything to race back to the hook soon as he suspects someone is trying a save. Getting to deactivate their DS while still giving a real good chance of picking up their trail again to continue the tunnel is just bad.
-
As survivor, only once in awhile from sweaty killers sad they didn't get their 4k.
As killer, not very often - but then I don't play like a d-bag on a power trip neither.
-
Shelterless Woods.
-
Didn't bother - makes no difference.

I get that. But what perplexes me is why is there even a DC penalty then? And why can it be circumvented by hook suicide? If they want to quit that's fine but they should at least be penalized through the DC penalty so they aren't just hopping match to match quitting when any little thing doesn't go their way and ruining it for up to 4 other people imo.
I think that you have an obligation to the rest of the survivors when you queued up for a team game to at least try to play the game out unless an IRL issue comes up personally.
Nope. Like some already mentioned if the team isn't doing their part then why should you?
-
@Crypticghoul said:
I would really like if they removed hook suicide as I think it's unhealthy for the game but I also understand the arguments for keeping it in. I especially hate it as someone who brings WGLF nearly every game as the ability to get stacks is already so limited.
Hook struggle mash really needs to go for sure though. Pyramid Head's skill checks are infinitely better.
There's a lot of things unhealthy for the game. Forcing people to keep playing in a match that sucks is unhealthy for the game.
-
Freddy - there's usually high amounts of DC and/or suicides on first hook. Pretty much just expect that killer to win now.

1) No. I’ll give an example...
Survivor is on hook. Killer is proxy camping or whatever. Second survivor goes for unhook before second stage. Hillbilly comes sprinting across, or Leatherface comes out of insidiuos, instadowns second survivor, hits down first, hooks fresh survivor, now first survivor goes back on hook again.
These kinds of situations happen. Killers with instadowns that camp could benefit greatly from this idea. Right now DS is the only way you can ensure you get out of the basement, since you can’t guarantee the other survivor will be running BT.
2) Partly agree. Survivors shouldn’t be cocky enough to go gen rush. At that point they aren’t being tunneled. Not sure if I agree about unhooks again due to campers but at the very least there should be a limit on how much they can do.
3) Undecided either way. Sometimes its exploited, other times the killers deserve it based on the way they play.
Yes, this is the reason the 'deactivates when another survivor is hooked' solution is bad. It not only encourages more camping, it's a way around DS, since killers that like to race back to the hook every time that often forces people to trade hooks.

For some reason she seems so wholesome to me.
I have yet to face a toxic Zarina player.
When Zarina is toxic it is usually to other survivors.

As in most games the only thing that can kill me are my 'allies'.

update: So im playing it for a while now and...nvm it's a visual bug. 3 minutes is the limit so even if it seems to reset everytime it doesn't. When you were 3 minutes total injured it deactivates.

Nah was always like that
Nah once the 180 seconds being totally injured was up the perk deactivated and didn't do anything. It did not reset the timer if healed.
-
Confirmed it does reset the timer. Yeah, the perk isn't completely worthless now - very useful against the the Twin's Victor.
Resets when you are hooked too.

Be honest, you don't want to play a challenging asymmetrical horror game the requires teamwork, coordination, and skill to win.
You want a cheap power fantasy, where you get to beat the bad guy.
You want to be the hero, without the effort.
You want to win, without a chance to lose.
You want to bully the faceless monster because you don't have the strength of character to fight the real ones.
You are so scared of failure, that should something challenge to take away the tools you use to cheaply steal victory, you scream about it.
You are not the main character, you are not the only person playing, you are not entitled to win, no one else is either.
Dead By Daylight should be made much harder, no more aim dressing, no more second chance perks, you want to survive? Work together or die alone. Do you want to kill them all? Train your aim, learn set-ups, and speak up if the power role doesn't feel powerful.
The Killer Power role is a joke, with exceptions. If facing a killer by yourself is not daunting. something is wrong. In a proper asymmetrical game, the power role should be powerful, you should be wary of being near, knowing that getting seen a bad, and getting caught dangerous. It isn't, not to myself or any other truly experienced survivors.
I mean, I run Mettle of Mither, and can still escape without a Survive With Friend squad. That should tell you something is up.
Sounds like a survivor talking about most killers.
The killer Power role isn't a joke. You are.
-
NOED is king of the mediocre once again.
-
Well since they put the criteria on three protection hits (aka free hits) - they can start by removing the aura read which they left on it for some inane reason from the first version of MoM.
-
So basically let everyone die on first hook?
-
Yeah I hit '1' most of the time - solo survivor.
-
Never got it to activate without high risk of throwing the game.
Perk is not a perk at all, it's a liability.
-
If they are on their first hook they don't need to be leading the killers toward gens getting done. If they are on death hook I can understand the desperation (though if they lead killer to last gen getting done, they screw over everyone and there's no understanding for that).
If they do pass aggro off on me, kindly make yourself useful while I'm getting chased, I need you getting healed and on a gen. Not following the chase all injured just to make a stupid save that gets me slugged and them killed anyway, wasting the tlme of two survivors.
-
Take your anti-slug perks.

Boring AF.
Seriously. Does anyone enjoy these? They're the most annoying and boring part of the game, for sure.
No matter which side I'm playing, they always play out the same way: the survivor runs around for 20-ish seconds until the killer gets bloodrush and then suddenly catches up and downs them.
Sure, if the survivor throws the pallet a bit early the killer has the extra challenge of convincing the survivor to go the pallet early so that they can double back and smack them.
The other alternative is to peel off and hope you find a new structure to run around. But that's dicey.
Enjoy it more than sitting on a hook.
