Well least they are doing something after using all of us as their QA.
-
You don't win when all the killer has to do is look in your general direction and swing.
-
They should just get it over with and remove all perks. Half of them are worthless and they are making the other half just as worthless.
-
I seen it happen against a Freddy...pallet stunned him and got hit of course as always, but then he was just vacuum sucked over to my side. I had to vault the pallet just avoid another hit.
-
I hate them. The only good one is the slugged/recovering animation.
The really bad one is the injured animation. The rest are mediocre, a step down from the what we had before this update.
-
Yes the grass is hideous...everything gets more hideous with each update.

Better Together was a nice little perk, then Pyramid Head came with Trail of Torment, and then ToT was buffed, and then survivors developed PTSD of undetectable killers, and then other survivors noticed that and started running Better Together to scare their teammates, and here we are.
Yep, then there's the devs screwing with everything we should be doing in order to escape making us second guess ourselves constantly more and more with each update.

This perk sounds good, is quite good, always love to find someone using this perk so I can go help them on a gen.
But I'm pretty sure I'm the only one in this game that actually understands it..
I've ran this perk so many times and not once not even ONCE has someone come and helped me on a gen. Even people like 20 meters away from me just leave and doss about the map.
Either people are not educated in this perk, are sweaty rank 1's that love chases and only chases (uno what I mean if you're red rank) or think its trail of torment and stay away from it..
I like using that perk so people stay the hell away - especially with chases while I knock out this gen. So if no one is coming to help, making it's actually working for you.
-
I don't care about blood points, I want a working game.

Dude seriously. Was pumped to play new update but with the hit boxes I feel guilty at the thought of playing killer right now and don't want to go near the mess that is survivor right now.
I feel the same. If I play killer it's just going to feel cheap. If I play survivor it's just going to tick me off.
-
That's high quality sarcasm. You got my vote.
-
Yeah you can just whack them once after hook. It can be taken as BM, but in the case of Elodie it's a public service.

I'll kill you and take my 4k, why should I let you go?
Could be a mutual respect thing - something you probably wouldn't understand.
-
It's not bannable, you got another gate you are welcome to go to instead.
They don't just 99 for blood warden either - if another survivor is somewhere getting chased across the map and threat is not at the exit, you're just helping to kill that survivor by opening the gate. There will be less time to mount a rescue.
So that's probably why she blocked you.
-
...and confidence has risen slightly.

So you want to say, that we should live with this trash?
Would be nice to have a statement, that we could play another game instead 👨🎨
Oh gosh i love this game/Devteam <3
I'm just expressing my lack of confidence in the devs is all.

I've learned that the PTB isn't for feedback purposes. It's to give us a heads up "This is happening whether you like it or not. So get used to it"
Truth.
-
Yep fixing things takes time. Something that takes less time is never introducing the problem to live in the first place.

So is this a new thing or old?
Oh it's new since the update yesterday.

Since this will favour the killerside, we can approximately wait until summer for a hotfix for this :)
I know, from the killerside, this is totally fine, but since it worked before they messed something up really bad.
It seems like they released the PTB without further bugfixing, but i guess it´s fine, dEvS alReaDy wOrKeD sO haRd fOr tHiS
This is something they probably cannot fix. I mean they never could fix hitboxes before, I don't know why anyone would think that can now even when they are as bad as they have ever been.
-
Yes. Kind of like the old survivors getting stuck at the entrance of hill ramps...hopefully it doesn't take as long as that did to get fixed.
-
You can report it as a bug if it hasn't been already. Goods news is these tend to get fixed faster than...other things.
-
Yes. I mean it's been kind of broken for...ever, but now it's just slapping you constantly in the face.
-
Those 5 minutes were up two years ago.
-
That just do gens works for full SWF or Kindred users, but for most survivors it ends up like this.
I'll get camped and what do they do? All three of them sneak around my hook until I die wasting my time on the hook.
At that point I'm not caring if they live or die.
-
Probably another bug.

For the first time, there's literally nothing that I want from the current rift so I don't have to care one bit about finishing it.
My guess would be that the grind didn't change, it's still pretty long so better don't buy it until the last few days before it closes.
For the OP, grind hasn't changed - and I am actually thankful there is not one single thing I want from the current rifts either.

I’m actually a survivor main and what your referring to is just a bug and has nothing to do with the changes.
If it's a bug, then it's a bug that fundamentally messes with play on such a level that it should never have made it live.
-
No, limit has been reached.

what does that have to do with the animations they work fine hit boxes are wack but they always were going back to old animations won’t suddenly fix the game since it was still complained about highly
Yeah, they fixed the thing that wasn't broken and left the broken, broken.
-
I'll stop caring about this game - then I won't complain about anything.
-
@Zeus said:
Maybe they changed the animation and left the hitbox as is so probably something that we should get used to. I could be wrong but thats my theory. You dont hunch as much as you do before while injured.
It's a good theory - probably due to the animation changes, though they'll never tell us for sure.
-
Yeah that's totally unacceptable.
-
If it ain't broke don't fix it.
They like fixing things that aren't broke and leave broke things broke.
-
I feel like I'm Michael Myers stalking when I'm standing still.
I'm stalking the killers now...oh yeah, you see me, watching you, staring at you, through that window...around that corner.
-
This is kind of radical and probably never tried before in a video game (/insert sarcasm), but what if there was an option to use the new HUD (which would be default) ooooorr switch back to the old (minmalist) HUD? Or maybe, customizable HUD...no that's too far out there.
Or was that asking too much - we can only do one thing?
-
The HUD I'm neutral on - you can scale UI/HUD now so that's a big plus and improvement.
Mostly agree on the animations - make survivors look like robots moving around. The dying (slugged) animations look pretty good, but that's about it. And I like the more upright posture, but survivors look like mechanical monkeys when they move around.
Not sure about hitboxes, they always sucked for me especially around vaults, so I need to play a bit more to know for sure.
-
How about we all just stop caring - then there won't be any complaints.
I for one liked the minimalist HUD - the new one is okay. I like being able to scale the UI and HUD now.
But the animations make everyone look like robots moving around - people don't move that way, it's very unnatural. Everyone just straightens up before moving - I like the better postures, but like it said the overall animations look very artificial. Kind of reminds me of the lobby idle animations they 'improved' awhile back and ended up eventually reverting.
Running animations are so-so, the walking ones are substandard, the dying animations are actually the best ones imo.
I'm pretty much a proponent of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' - especially when there are so many others things still broken.

Solo queue is no worry if you're a somewhat competent survivor, just need to try your best to carry the potatoes
That load to carry gets very heavy my man.
-
You forgot one - Solo Queue.

@Orionbash said:
No, seriously. It's honestly crazy how many PC survivors ragequit because they go down too fast. Three games in a row today I had at least 1 PC survivor ragequit because they got downed in seconds. You leave your team at a 3v1 disadvantage and that makes the game insanely difficult if not impossible depending on the skill of the killer.
Well if they go down in seconds of a chase sounds like they were disadvantaging their team already.
-
These devs haven't learned one of the most basic of game design truths - people don't like being one shot.
-
The short answer is probably never.
It's not SWF - in fact it's supposed to work the opposite of what you describe, one red rank survivor is enough to bring a red rank killer.
-
Cause I believe it was a quick way to just find hiding survivors...just spam you power and there they are. Since corn maps have a lot of corn, it would get stupid easy to stalk on those maps.
-
Pretty stereotypical all right...
I play several survivors and I have a different attitude/style for each one - I wonder if others shift their play style in similar ways:
Meg - Play her as the confident in a chase athletic beast that she is. Always running when not doing a gen. I do look behind me.
Feng - Spunky and yes, I have Lithe on the bar.
Nea - Experienced survivor, she's done with everyone's sh-- and just wants to finish the trial in one piece.
Kate - Heart of gold she will save you if she can.
Nancy - Oh yeah, I feel like being mean when I play her and want to inflict some pain as well as receive it. She's a little crazy in the head. Most likely to bring a flashlight. Yes, I get PO'ed when people break MY totems.
Yui - Self assured, she's good at knocking the gens out and will try to loop you even when slugged.
Cheryl - She's seen sh--.
-
1) You got EGC which gives you killers plenty of free kills already...deal with it.
2) Agreed.
3) Endgame collapse is to end hatch standoffs or games that go on too long because of Blendettes and their ilk. You want EGC to start, open the door yourself. Survivors should leave a gatekeeper anyway - if they don't a 99% is the same as a 0% to someone injured with a killer on their heels.
Bonus) Agreed - though I'm pretty sure we're stuck with the current state until DBD reaches end game.

Whoo 2" more in size!

I can support this message. Steves tend to be total idiots...but nice hair.
