"They dont like to release statistics because people like to base their full opinion on them"
You realise it sounds awful, right?
Instead of 'full opinion' he should of said 'half baked and just plain bad opinions' - and then it sounds far less awful, but I suspect he was being nice.
-
Teabagging is just the survivor's way of expressing their excitement and appreciation for chasing them. Common misunderstanding.
Really the teabag should not bother anyone - it's a mental test to see if you are easily distracted and thrown off your game by someone pressing a button repeatedly.
As far as not unhooking another survivor that is pretty situational - if it's solo q well they probably have not developed the instincts to know that they need to make the save...and aren't running Kindred.
If you are bothered by teabaggers at the exit gates - EGC will clear them out in a few minutes, go chill in a corner of the map somewhere and enjoy the moonlight.
-
I use DS for protection in solo q - not only from the the killer, but from other survivors making dumb a-- plays at my expense.
It also gives me a chance to play the game when I happen to be the unlucky one the killer found first - instead of being chased, put on a timeout on the hook, get saved, chased again, put on another time out, repeat til dead. I don't get any points or emblems hanging on a hook nor for providing other survivors altruism.
-
I want the ability to kill crows. Every time I think I hear that injured blendette...suddenly there's crow noise everywhere and I lost her trail.
-
I'm not sure why they even bother when there's one survivor left that they just don't auto kill them anyway - with exit gates spawning within eye shot of each other, it is pretty much just wasting two minutes. Even their map rework of Lery's has exit gates spawning on the same wall now.

Why don’t people DC against Billy? He’s way better than an Iri Huntress.
Hatchets can be dodged pretty regularly.
I'm addressing why you don't often see huntresses using iri heads (with infantry belt because if iri is in use almost every time a belt is also used), but we'll answer this as well. Why the hell not. First off people do DC against Billy, usually if they get steamrolled by him in the first seconds of a match. Billy cannot punish loops and vaults like a good huntress can. Good huntresses can also pick you off from a decent distance and you won't hear the hatchet coming like you would a Billy until it is too late. Lastly while you and I can dodge them 'pretty regularly' depending on the skill of the huntress - a lot of people cannot.
-
@Rey_512 said:
I haven’t seen an Iri Huntress in months. Not an issue.
Most huntresses won't use them. Not only are they not really fun for either side - people tend to disconnect immediately or just kill themselves on first hook when they learn they are in play.

And it wouldn't work. A survivor would just force the first chase and they'd still gang bang gens.
Tho...injured survivors should repair gens slower, so they would have an incentive to heal and cooperate which would stale the game.
At least they would have their first interaction before most of three other gens were done. This is why Corrupt Intervention is so effective, survivors cannot just gang gen rush the first gens they spawn next to before the killer evens crosses the map.
Maybe they should look at survivor spawn spots at the start of matches too. Very often I'm with another or even all four survivors right next to a gen without any veil offerings made.
-
You said it already, EGC takes care of this - just get something to drink. By the time you return the game magically ended.
Sometimes if the survivors are split between exits they will linger because they aren't sure if the other survivors are going to need help.
If the survivors are just hanging around to BM well, see me first sentence. I'm not sure why this still bothers people, it's not like the old days where they could hang out forever until you chased them out.
-
How else is the killer supposed to get kills if it wasn't for potato survivors?

Decisive strike is mine, it feels like a cheap perk to run
First off stop feeling superior because of your choice. Second it is almost vital to even get to play the game in solo Q with all the farmers and killers that like to tunnel straight off the hook.
-
Survivors already have a fifth ability - the ability to bring items and find items.
As for each survivor having a unique ability - well as has been pointed out in the past certain survivor abilities would then be considered meta and you would only see those survivors in play or people dodging others for not using the right survivor.

I could live with the traps if we could get rid of that roar. Ambush?
I need the roar so I can make snort noises when crouched. That's a feature.
Oh and to start slug races...since I don't have a starter pistol.

Its meant as a time waster not a killing tool
as a pig main myself ive had numerous of trap kills
sometimes it was me chasing them away from it while chasing someone, but most of the time survivors die from it by their own fault not doing boxes or doing something else before getting the trap off
Agreed that getting killed by RBT should be uncommon - but the point is that most of the time it does not even fulfill its main purpose of being a time wasting tool.
-
I have many times put a trap on someone and had to hook them next to a box, frequently boxes seem to spawn near hooks. Then mere moments after they got off the hook, their trap is already off because the first box they check was the one.
You cannot plan success around random. My suggestion would be make five boxes the standard instead of four OR that survivors do not see the aura of boxes until their trap is triggered be the norm. Far too easy just to get a trap off before the next gen is done. Many times traps are just a nuisance they will pound out gens anyway with a trap on confident they can get it off easily.

Tried this.
I stopped caring about HOW it ends, but it turned into caring about WHEN it ends. You can't force the exit gates open if they refuse to repair the last gen until they've all had their share of tag-team bullying the piñata for points...
I've not had that problem - ironically bully squads are more entertaining to me than the normal game.
-
Stop caring about how it ends. If they want to just do gens as fast as possible and get out - hell, I'll even open the door for them.

Nothing will change. Imo people are overreacting a bit. The only thing the sabo change does is making it accessible for solo survivors and engaging them in using new perks.
We all know that making it accessible for solo survivors means SWF will take it to disgusting heights. They don't know how to buff solo without making SWF more godlike.
-
They will be a lot more try less...as in not bother playing.
-
Bend over...grab your ankles...
Best is not to ever get seen like for any killer, but that does not really help out the other survivors who end up taking the heat.
Running away, then doubling back and taking an other direction preferably around a corner to break potential line of sight. If you are injured you are in a bad way without Iron Will - try running away to a vault and then keep running.
But never approach the 'husk', they like to fake phasing.
Iron Will (and Evasion or Fixated for breaking line of sight quickly) are strong.
-
Yeah the add-ons are overall pretty lack luster except for a couple. Higher chance to trigger to skill check while removing RBT? Please. Better missed ambush cooldown? Yawn. Her ultra rares are not very impressive either, more like just gimmick effects.
There is one thing that is OP about her - her cuteness.
-
Since the Ruin nerf I find myself much less agitated when NOED comes into play.

So if a survivor is hooked in loke 20 m away from an OPEN Exit gate where the rest of them are what are you supposed to do as killer?
hit one he runs out the others go for unhook.
In that situation I am screwed anyway. I don't care if they save or not at that point. I'm a killer, not a hostage taker.
As for DS don't be afraid of it by wasting time waiting for a slug to time out, unless you got nothing better to do. Every one you eat early is one less you have to worry about later. Slugging is going to be even less of an option when the next chapter drops.
-
You mean remove the main reason for taking Dead Hard? It's to make that pallet or vault you would not make otherwise. Dodging a killer hit is a bonus, but a last ditch move since Dead Hard is so unreliable what with dedicated servers and it not even triggering sometimes.
Sure, if it was more reliable in dodging a killer swing - but how it is now, no way.
-
Play against Spirit? Unless you happen to be running a specific set of perks just flip a coin - heads you get away, tails you go on the hook. Boring.
Why she is hated - mind game potential is clearly on her side.

Dude, that is magical christmas land type thinking. It just isn't real. I have never, NEVER gone up against a group of survivors acting the way you are describing. But even in this hypothetical magical world you are describing, I would still be happy to be the killer in that situation. That means I'm getting free hits and survivors aren't working gens. They might be able to occasionally stop a hook that way, but I'm going to win by the end of the match.
It's not a hypothetical magical world 'dude' - I've done many times as the survivor.

@Dreamnomad said:
There are so many answers that killers have available to them. Numerous perks counter this including Iron Grasp, Agitation, Mad Grit and Hangman's Trick. But you don't even need to equip special perks. Just plain old situational awareness goes a long long way. There is almost always 2-3 hooks within range when you down a survivor. If you see a survivor running to a hook while you are carrying another survivor then go to another hook! Sometimes, just sometimes, you'll get outplayed. That's how the game is supposed to work.
As far as not needing special perks and just situational awareness... Well toss in the fact that three are probably going to be distracting the killer while one is always on gens - now you got two survivors intercepting hooks for sabo while one is getting carried. Throw in a body block and breakout perk, now you aren't even going to make far to the first hook, and definitely not to any second hooks. Even a determined group of survivors right now can make life difficult reaching any hook without special perks, situational awareness is only going to tell you that you are screwed.

We need more killers like Nurse, Spirit, Huntress etc where their viability isn't determined by how loopable they are. Too many killers are countered in the exact same way.
As if survivors had many ways to counter killers while in a chase. Looping is it.

@ClickyClicky said:
He wins. How can you complain when the killer wins?
If the killer is able to destroy 4 surviors in a few minutes then how can you justify the gens being longer? so he wins with 3 gens standing rather than 1? Many killers still have NOED to rely on after that.
Tru3 says its nothing to do with Trapper but that's BS. If he wasn't using Trapper he wouldn't have spent time walking around setting traps. If he chose Billy or Wraith he would have been on top of them within the first 30 seconds.
Because a killer can snowball and trash the survivors in a few minutes - but killers never complain about that. It's either gens are too fast or the survivor's fault for everything.

I've had that happen once, where I closed the hatch and then stayed far away from the doors so the last survivor could just leave, but they ended up dying to the entity, anyway. My only guess in that case was that they were waiting for me to check the gate before they started opening it, and since I never came by to check they never started opening it, or they hid in the hopes of denying me the hook. Some survivors would rather die to the EGC or bleed out for four minutes than let the killer hook them. Multiple survivors whom I was going to give the hatch to have bled out because they decided to crawl off and hide.
More likely since every killer patrols the exits and the exits are usually so close together escape is near impossible anyway - they likely spent their time looking for totems, rummaging chests, or sabotaging hooks - least they get some points for that.
-
Seeing this I am quite sure ThisBetch needs desperate help...killing more blendettes!

Eh, it's not really annoying. It's how they have to play. They have no early game potential anymore unless they play Hillbilly or Freddy, really. So they two choices - late game plays, or slug snowballing.
You can't really blame them.
And that's why gens need to get rushed - a killer can snowball at any moment, especially in solo Q.

Nothing. I know a streamer who says its common courtesy to say "gg" if it wasn't, but if the game was bad then I won't say anything.
Yeah, probably not a common courtesy toward the guy that got camped, since it was definitely not a 'gg' for them.

Nothing.
Why waste any more time on them. Odds are I already forgot their name 30 seconds after the match ended.

I mean, it counters Doctor, Infectious, Clown and Freddy to an extent...Iron Maiden as well.
Literally everything that makes you scream.
Right and killers have been downright annoying lately with IF wanting to snowball all the time. So annoying and frequent I tend to put Calm Spirit on my bar now.

Right but I don't quick save either.
No one said that was the case - terror radius can be very large, especially with Doctor.
-
Lots of Doctors, sure, but there are also many killers using Infectious Fright.
It doesn't have anything to do with being immersed. It has everything to do with not getting compromised moving in for unhooks or flashlight saves.

Kind of do when the gens are done just open an exit.
If all gens aren't done then they are still at risk - keep playing and get some practice in until they decide to finish them.
When a survivor suicides on hook for whatever reason there are still four other people playing - if a killer wants to do the equivalent would be too annoying. They don't like a map or just want to grief...they can DC then like normal people.

I'm slowly dying inside in anticipation of this.

Are you even reading what I am asking? Or are you just responding with a generic repeat message?
My question, once again, has nothing to do with the ownership of the DLC. It has nothing to do with ones ability to acquire the DLC, either via shards in the game or real life money.
The question is, "Why is this one and only specific challenge behind a DLC Character?" If you look at tomb 1 you were able to complete every challenge without owning any DLC characters. Also if you look around the internet and find the leaked Tomb 3 and 4, you will also notice, no other generic challenge is behind a DLC killer.
I simply don't understand why they didn't flip this challenge with the Doc one, to make it inline with the other 3 Tombs and make it so that you could complete all generic challenges without owning and DLC characters.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1064671#Comment_1064671
That specific challenge is just hook 5 Survivors in one challenge, its actually an easy challenge to complete. To be clear, I am referring to the challenge behind the Doc Challenge, not the Doc Challenge itself.
Ok...I could not tell from the picture provided.
-
You can probably make them scream using Infectious Fright or Iron Maiden, but those are also DLC accessible perks you need some hefty shards to unlock. 9000 shards is still quite a bit for many people.
Surprising it is a gateway challenge and the first challenge you need to get past to progress in the killer side (yeah you can go around it via survivor side). I would expect it to be on a branch of challenges.
-
Even if it was a permanent perk working all game - it would still be weak. The blood tracking is just too situational - killers hunt by scratch marks and sound mainly.
Not bleeding doesn't help No Mither most of the time for example.
-
Do they streak like that all the time would be the next question, or are they only showing what they want you to see and not the dozens of other games they got killed in...just the streak they managed to pull off.
I just don't feel taking a individual survivor streaks on youtube then asking if survivors as a whole should escape like that is a fair question.
-
@SpaceCoconut said:

No because the devs have designed the game so a 4k is an exceptional result. Survivors have more tools at their disposal in addition to teamwork to prevent a 4k.
But this post is about individual survival rates. Not killer 4k capability.
Maybe then we should be comparing 4k vs a 4 escape instead.
-
You mean by people who play this game like it's their job?
Probably.

Yes, I've done it in several games with my usual 4 men SWF, 3 of us 99 chests and the plunderer's gamer opens them all getting green+ items in all of them without wasting all his time in opening them all 100%.
Thanks good to know!

What I usually do is 99 the chests for the BP, I found it, 99% of the BP are mine now, hehehehe. He can open it to get a better item though
Does that actually work - meaning does it determine the item on opening or when the chest is first touched? Anyone know?
