It's to hamper player fun and potential. Every excuse defending the low cap that I can think of isn't good enough.

Which is a non-issue, but not everybody agrees for some reason.

Honestly have no clue. It makes him way too good especially when combined with speed add ons
Blight is still Blight. If they're losing to him with Alchemist's Ring, they'd loss to him without it. Literally, position yourself to dead angle his rush like normal. What does it matter if he gets his charges back faster?

Yes! Nerfing or reworking this add-on will help the skilled Blights stand out from the bad ones, that rely on this ridiculous add-on.
No, it will just take away a tool that has a fair amount of counterplay, and then people will switch to complaining about the blighted animal add-ons.
-
Why does every killer add-on need to have a downside? Why can't they just make the killer better?
-
Is this a trick question? It's DS.
-
Because she has control in chase instead of the survivors having it.

those are fun! :(
I've never used them, but I love having them used on me.
good memes and good scares.
The infinite tier 3 we can keep. But getting am OG mori from an add-on is crazy overpowered, and I'm surprised those add-ons ever made it into the game.
-
The devs can do what they want in this matter. They're not obligated.

Someone put out a call, and I sent them a friend request, but I never heard from them.

Let's shoot for 60 fps first.

All of them except maybe Nurse.

Right, but Huntress has 5 ammunition, is 77% while charging an hatchet and goes in "cooldown" after every shot, while Trickster has 44 ammunition, is 96,5% while throwing and shoots full auto
Don't compare them, just don't, they're different powers
And 1% speed in DBD is not something to dismiss like ######### (remember, it's still a brown add on)
If it was 2% or 3%, it would matter a lot more. But 1%, you can't feel the difference.

And they told it to you?
Take it as an educated guess, because all I hear from retired killer mains is "I'm glad I quit long ago. The game just keeps getting more survivor-sided. You don't get rewarded for playing well. You have to run full meta, a strong killer, AND sweat to win. The game's not fun."
-
@Bennett_They1Them said:

and the game should have room for that too, but shouldn't a win be rewarding and fun because gameplay is?
The gameplay gets old when you never win, aka getting rewarded for your game knowledge and skill. If we didn't have such a significant attachment to DBD's gameplay style, ambience, and characters, we would have all left a long time ago, because this is realistically an unpolished trash heap of a game (considering its popularity and crossovers).

my advice is to not focus on a 4k, but instead just having fun. try a meme build without cheap tactics; if you win, that's awesome, if not, you were running a meme build.
Fun to me is winning. I should be able to get a 4k if I play well and make almost no mistakes. The game doesn't allow for that though.

I don't think it's all that bad. Huntress has a similar yellow add on that increases it by 5%, but since trickster can down almost instantly if he can follow serve, his were nerfed to be less oppressive. Not to mention he already moves faster then huntress when using hatchets
He's still needs 12 (or is it 14?) blades to down instead of 2 shots.
-
I'm decent. PSN is Djgtl87.
-
He's garbage. I played with Shadowborn, which seemed to help with understanding his distances a little bit, but overall it feels like he's so slow and his lunge is so short to do anything. This is borderline original Wraith, where you slow down so much when uncloaking it's not even worth it.
-
All the good killers didn't feel rewarded for being good in an underpowered role, so they either quit or started only tunneling and camping like everyone else.

That's not surprising since you can literally get a free 3 gen on Azarovs by going afk . What an awful map
Do you really think a 3-gen is all it takes to win though? You have to have hooks on multiple people already so you can get someone out. Otherwise, 4 survivors can easily overpower a 3-gen.
-
Find a streamer of YouTuber who plays survivor at high level, and watch what they do. Through simple observation, you'll see how they loop tiles, link tiles together, know when to hide and when not to, be efficient on gens, etc.

She's alright.

Hitbox is pretty damn small, but even if you hit your chain it will just break in 2 seconds… well before you can catch up.
Which is why it needs to be bigger. Imagine missing over and over with Engineer's Fang. It just ruins your game.
-
If they did nerf it for that reason, I wouldn't be surprised. They nerfed Deathslinger's TR because when combined with M&A, he was "OP". Can't have killers finding new tactics using underutilized perks, can we? It's honestly sad.
-
The new scourge hook I can see being used, but Pop is much too slow nowadays.
-
It's impossible to balance for low level and high level at the same time. Just balance for high level, and everyone else will be too casual to care. If they do care, they're seeking to play competitive at high level. There's no 2 ways about it.
-
He didn't need a single nerf, except for the thing where the chains would hit the survivor trying to do the box. Literally, you need Engineer's Fang and Hoarder for him to be viable, and now they made Engineer's Fang worse. If he is overperforming, as usual it's because of bad survivors. You can just break the chains instantly on an obstacle, or hold the box hostage.

What? So throwing knives at people does nothing except charge main event?
What I meant was take away the laceration decay. Why do the knives just dissolve on their own?
-
Survivors are the power role still. The playing field hasn't even been evened yet, despite all these recent "killer-sided" things. Besides, the super undeserved killer nerfs kind of cancel it out.
-
He felt bad to play even before the nerf. There is clear counterplay against him, which is easy to experience if you're high MMR, in that he has to come out of cloak to do anything, and when he does he slows down so much that you have tons of options. He uncloaks under a pallet, you can run away or drop it on him. He uncloaks near a window loop, you can vault it and he has to go around. He tries to uncloak while you're outpositioned, he's slowed down so much that by holding forward, you probably make it to the nearest loop anyway. He's a huge embarrassment of a killer.
-
@glitchboi said:
Agreed. I was wrong about the lunge nerf not doing much, holy it is horrible to play with. I play Wraith with a chase playstyle so it makes his anti-loop 10 times less enjoyable. It doesn't affect hit & run Wraith but it affects chase Wraith for sure.
Hope they reconsider the nerf.
No, it does affect hit and run Wraith. Can't split the damage if you can't even get a hit, which you won't against good survivors because of his ruined lunge.
-
One thing that might be a problem is the inside of the main building. We can't have survivors jumping on spots that the killer either can't reach or have to do some crazy thing to get to them, which if you don't know what I'm talking about, survivors are able jump on the floating books I think and I assume there's gonna be other spots like that.
The thing I can for sure say that I don't like about the map, which isn't a bug, is the windows leading into the main building. They're god windows I'm pretty sure, which means there's no gameplay and the killer has to waste a guaranteed amount of time to catch the survivors there.
-
Take away laceration, let him hold his main event like Oni can, and let him move at 115% in main event.

Not if that’s where all the gens are. Corrupt makes that happen very often. Plus there’s the offerings to spawn the basement where you want. Agi-Grasp basically lets carry a survivor across the map. When someone is downed anywhere like 70 meters from the basement (Which is huge) you can do one of two things. Chase/hit survivors off of the surrounding gens while carrying them. Hook them right next to the gen they were trying to say, double up on. The other option is take them right back down into the basement. I’ve hit people like 2 times and still had time to go downstairs. Then warp right back to a gen with Demo.
Basement time is usually when Corrupt is up (Can’t get the gens they want), and when they’re mostly injured. They can’t risk going back into basement injured, especially against Demodoggo. They’ll all have to heal first. Time consuming. Which lets the gimmick work its trash 5-10 second magic.
Corrupt is a coin flip. It absolutely does not block all the gens at basement every time.

You are not entitled to a 4k. Have some empathy, you really think all survivors should die every single match? 2k standard makes it more fair for both sides.
You're not hearing me. I don't need a 4k every time. But a lot of matches, I literally couldn't have got a 4k no matter how well I played. That's what I want to get rid of, those unwinnable killer matches.
-
It's the complete wrong thing to balance around. The killer may get a 2k or a 4k. Be that as it may, you don't know how stressful it was or how scummy they had to play just to get that result.
-
Survivors can completely counter Monstrous Shrine once they know you have it. They'll just unhook and then never get downed near basement again.
-
I assume that they are. I've seen one play killer a total of 2 times. The one time, he was using dream pallet Freddy and saying that he needed a nerf ESPECIALLY to his pallets, despite saying he didn't even know why Freddy needed a nerf. The other time, he saw someone right next to him trying to unhook a guy, and he's got Iridescent Head Huntress but instead of throwing it at that guy, he backs up almost to the other side of the map and waits for the unhook before he throws it so he can (maybe) hook trade. So this is my response to what the devs are thinking: ?!?!?
-
Because totem spawns are garbage on average. They're literally right next to hooks and gens, or in the open.
-
I also think this would be a great change. Now that I think about the implications, it wouldn't bring hexes back into relevance, but it would potentially slow down boon players.

I feel like DBD is not a game that can be casual and unbalanced like other games are because of how punishing it is to die. Lets look at titanfall 2, an unbalanced mess i love. If in that game you get killed by an op weapon (car smg) you are back to playing in less than 5 seconds, and you dont need to interact with the other team to have fun
So what are you saying?

It's easy? There are more than enough pallets and windows in the game to drag bubba around the map for five gens. No movement speed buffs, so he's base movement speed which is a death sentence in the current meta. Base movement speed killers are ridiculously hard now; I don't think base movement speed killers are balanced for the current meta - they're at a disadvantage.
It's not easy for him to chase, it's easy for him to camp someone to death guaranteed once they're downed. He usually gets better results doing that than chasing like normal, because 1 bump and you're stunned forever, or 1 window and you can't do anything. If they could just make his camping not so effective and his general chase actually effective, that would be great.
-
Because the killer deserves a favorable structure, I guess is what they were going for. I just wish the killer shack, which is what the basement is usually in, was as strong for killer. You're not getting a basement hook in shack against smart survivors.

autohaven and cold win farm were never disabled when they came out reworked from my knowledge. Idk what’s taking so long though they said by the end of the year Realm beyond would be done where 1 month away and we still don’t have red forest, backwater swamp and haddonfield reworked
I meant that they've had uncleansable totem spots, or certain maps of those realms were disabled. Not necessarily when they first came out. The getting stuck on hills bug, structures having weird hitboxes, etc. They also are garbagely balanced, but I'm not calling for them to be disabled, I'm calling for them to be fixed.
-
I also have never liked that he can instadown multiple people at once. It makes this kind of camping playstyle inevitable, because it's easy. I think the add-ons that played into him downing on person, then the next and the next through the charge mechanic is stupid. Not many people even play him like that, and if they did we'd be even more enraged. Hillbilly cannot instadown multiple people at once because his chainsaw stops after downing someone. So where's the consistency in that?
-
@Mooks said:
Best guess would be next midchapter, which would probably be in January. But nothing confirmed..
it’s really odd how they seemingly pumped out the other map reworks but taking their time on the remaining 3 realms..
It does make me mad that they take so long with it, because we all know it's just gonna be more breakable walls and god loops. The delay isn't gonna make the quality of their map any better, and it will probably have tons of bugs and be disabled quickly after release, like a couple of maps have.
-
The wrong role is the power role right now. That's why.
-
I hate the 2k standard. Killer should always be able to get a 4k. Because some matches, that's literally not possible. Not because the killer didn't play to the best of their ability, but because gen speeds and OP maps and perks screwed them over.
