Boons do mess this build. I have gotten a few 5 hex games but it depends on no boons. Seems to be always someone.
-
Too much respect for pallets as well. You should force drop those pallets and not be afraid to take the occasional stun.

Dc or killedmyself in hook against her everymatch :) almost none counterplay at loops if the killer is not idiot please nerf
Not sure why this is - unless it's line of sight, you can just take a swarm that doesn't slow you down. And you can run into the crow now without damage. So just don't get hit in line of sight.

Just had a game where a 4 escape turned into a 3k because we missed one totem how is this not a crutch perk for easy kills. Killers have had this broken perk for far to long and are outraged and entitled when survivors get good perks. Devs we demand a nerf or survivor queues are going to keep getting longer. Losing a game last minute because of a cheap perk isn’t fun
Such a joke. Once one person went down did the rest of you look for the now-lit totem? I guess not.
-
90 percent of the time survivors just need to search for the totem. They don't. But the killer camps and you just go find it. No big deal really.
-
It's toxic to send gg as a survivor if the killer got zero hooks.
Was it really a good game for them, do you think?
-
Yes there is no logic to feedback moves. You can interpret almost any thread as feedback.
-
It shouldn't even be medium range. Shooting someone on the other side of an L loop doesn't even give you enough time for a hit. They have to be really close.
Sadly I rarely use his power due to this.

TOTH+Plaything+Pentimento+4th Perk (I'd use Thana for extra cleansing time). I'm hopping on the PTB today to try this after work.
I think this isn't as good as it looks, because the survivors already know where the totems are if they cleanse a Plaything totem. How long will your revived totem be up?

@Junylar said:
The killers demanded the hatch nerf, and the devs were quick to deliver. The key still can be used by the last survivor if the killer closes the hatch, and even then if the killer patrols the hatch - you won't be able to escape since there is now an animation of opening the hatch, with progress bar. So we now have an item that is usable only one trial out of ~30, probably the most useless item in the game so far.
Did you say quick to deliver?
You must mean Mori's were nerfed and keys a year later.

In before the ban.

I wouldnt say its useless....BUTTTTTTTT yeah it requires more effort to get value out of lmao.
It wrecks Myers, that's for sure.
I went back to survivor as soon as I finished the level 1 challenges.
You can't even tell you are in a boon radius as a killer. The sound might seem loud but it's not.
-
MMR is also leading to long load times, at least on killer.

damn this is devour hope totem. it will burning after survivor unhook some of their friend 24 meter aways from killer. What the hell is this totem burning on the first of the match. this is not ruin or any other totem
All hexes burn immediately. New to the game?

I think what he is talking about is for changes to be certified in house by a team dedicated to QC. Most software publishers do this during each stage of production. Typically it entails a review of the code and stressful alpha testing within the overall environment.
It really does seem they are lacking this check as some of the problems we are seeing seem to be replicated problems they had with the previous builds (ie. not being able to access totems).
This seems like a problem at Behaviour as a whole. You should have been part of their Warhammer 40k shooter.
I agree with this, but to say that the build is necessarily frozen during QA is just false. And in either case, they control the schedule for release.

Big updates need to get certified, small hotfixes dont. If you did your research like I told you, you would know that.
Sure buddy. Cerified by who? Themselves.
They control the schedule. Take care.

do. your. research.
I think you are confused as to the difference between an internal validation and an actual deployment ability. Just because the PTB runs a week doesn't mean they can't code changes after that period. They certainly do. Fixes are added during QA all the time. You can believe what you want.
Using your logic if a client side fix is needed for the current issues we won't see it for weeks.
Edit: 5.0.0, 5.01, and 5.0.2 all came out between June 15th and June 29th as an example. Your logic says this is impossible.

@legacycolt said:

No, it takes two weeks to get the update certified. This has been said so many times already, do your research.
Simply wrong. They have released bugfix patches within days in the past. Using your logic, they assessed the balance in PTB and made all the boon changes programmed into the game in less than a week. Not likely. MS/Sony/Steam have no such two week requirement for releases.
-
@legacycolt said:
I can’t believe people still don’t understand that the devs only have literally less than 1 week to change things from the PTB to Live.
Maybe you meant three weeks, since it came out on Sept 28. And if there are bugs they should delay, like normal companies.

Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft don't want potential console breaking updates so no PTB on consoles. This is why console patches take longer. They have to be approved by the companies and thourughly tested before going live.
This is not right. Other games have them, for example Pubg.

I’m on PS5.
I hope not. They really won't pay attention to it if that's the case.

Yep just went two for two with infinite load. Done for the night as we know BHVR ain't fixing anything tonight.

Yep, same. I am on XSX.
Might be the worst release to date.

Only 3 were nerfed. Wraith, Spirit and Slinger. The rest were all buffs
The intro of boons is a all survivor buff
-
They nerfed every hex cleansing aura and notification from the game - prior to this it was undying.
I think I am going back to twins, at least there I can camp a totem with Victor and m1.

Were you playing Mikaela Reid, perchance? Her strongest Boon perks are pretty much making her the new key-holder.
I leveled her up and took her boon perks to David for this reason.
I will agree with the OP, in the sense that the matchmaking is terrible. I have the opposite experience as a fairly skilled survivor - the killers I face suck, and my teammates seem clueless. I have looped a killer for two minutes to find no gens done. The game just isn't fun.
Prior matchmaking was significantly better.
-
Seeing this as well. Screwed us twice on Xbox with this release. I knocked a survivor on midwitch and could barely see them on the floor.

You need a screenshot with his perks. Are you sure you werent oblivious?

Hard to say for sure. I have a ton of hours as well (actually, I can grab the exact for funsy! According to my Xbox, I have 71 Days, 20 Hours, and 47 Minutes) so I'm not sure that's the issue either.
Although maybe it's just killer side. Normally right now throughout the night it would be instant queue. I've only waited two minutes so far but that is way longer than it normally would be. We'll see how long this ultimately takes but I have a feeling that it's going to be the long wait I have been hearing on here...
EDIT: Yup, must be killer. I'm at the five minute mark now. I'd keep waiting For Science but...I don't wanna :D
I'm just gonna not play killer until it gets fixed
Well I just sat for 15 minutes as survivor and now just joined a lobby with a killer and nobody else. Just.. Waiting. Oh now, I have two.
Edit:
At 21 minutes one left, just me and killer. Sigh.
-
@tippy2k2 said:
It's been very strange because everyone with the Xbox Series X/S here seems to be having all kinds of problems with getting games where queue has been instant (for survivor at least, I haven't actually tried killer as I've been having issues unrelated to the game so I've wanted the much more relaxed survivor game rather than trying to do killer games)
I'm playing with no one but Xbox Series X/S as well but maybe I'm just lucky with my location or something as I would expect to have the same issues as everyone else given the very limited next-gen supply but for whatever reason I'm not.
I am convinced its MMR. I have lots of hours and am just sitting.
-
@El_Gingero said:
I’ve been getting very quick queues on series X. Maybe it’s because I’m in low SBMM.
I think it does make a difference, yes. Supposedly the game wont let disperate MMR players come together, no matter how long we wait.

and for some reason... behaviour changed the date to "not tuesday", which is the day it always happens in because it allows then to work on things during the week.
but only changed on xbox. because the xbox update needed to be sooner for some reason...
just going by occam's here mate.
Not sure what you are saying. The developer literally types in the date a patch goes live when th3y publish to consoles. They have to it manually for each platform - PS4, PS5, Xbox OG, SX. Someone screwed up during entering. Is it that hard to understand?
-
They are busy investigating.
Not really, they know the issue (screwed up the rolllout) and the fix (make us wait til tomorrow).

Series X here, the only thing different for me this weekend was that Killer queues were much longer. Survivor queue was the same time as with crossplay.
I got a few survivor matches in the evening, but couldn't usually between 9 AM and 4 PM PST (maybe one every hour).
I wonder how the "investigation" is going..
-
@Alice_pbg said:
the thing with xbox, is that you guys got the 5.2.2 update sooner than everyone else (blame microsoft), so you can't play on crossplay. should fix itself when everyone else gets the update
Please stop with the blame microsoft - developers push the patches and set the dates.

...And I am referring to the people spreading lies, who will just continue to spread lies, claim BHVR is lying, and so on. I think we were both pretty clear on what we're saying.
Hard to claim BHVR is lying if they would be more open, though. If they had simply stated they were sorting out a licensing issue then the fake tweet would have been impossible. Yes, they would have more egg on their face - but they should - it was a screwup.

Well at the most you'll only have to wait until Tuesday. Unless they decide to push the patch to today for everyone else.
That was tough. Many ppl like me play on the weekends and it was broken the entire time.
-
The current working theory is that your per killer MMR doesn't deviate too far from your top killer. It probably also doesn't decrease over time, but that won't matter much if you have a top tier killer elsewhere.

Wow. I couldn't get a match hardly at all this afternoon with crossplay off due to rhe screwup. A few this evening.

Mathew Cote has said multiple times that license agreements are super confidential and are under NDA. There is nothing we can do about that.
Nobody has stated this is a licensing issue. It's an "issue with the audio files". More can be said.

The people who spread false info will just claim you're being dishonest.
You can't fight people who are acting in bad faith by ignoring them, because reality doesn't matter to them, only spreading their lies does.
I am referring to BHVR. They could be more officially transparent as to the reason of the audio file removal.

I mean, yeah, this is what will happen. It is not BHVRs fault that Microsoft screwed that one up. The Patch is scheduled for another date and it will probably not even be possible to bring it earlier (at least not on Playstation).
Um, don't make excuses. Patch deployment is managed by the developer. MS has nothing to do with it. It is an automated system.
Edit: here is the steps on how you set a release date and time, which they failed to do. Someone posted it before they left for the weekend and didnt set the schedule.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/publish/configure-precise-release-scheduling

Sorry, Rey - it's clear there is no investigation occuring at this point. Nobody is working on a Sunday.
They are leaving us to the scheduled patch on tuesday but won't say it. I cant get in a match myself after waiting 30min as a survivor.

If PGTW does nothing that means Ruin did everything (because it was never cleansed). If Ruin was never cleansed then Undying would've done nothing just like PGTW. At best you'll get some value out of the dull totem aura reading but that's about it.
Also going out of your way to defend a totem often loses you a game more than it wins you a game. Doesn't work well against intelligent opponents.
I dont even run undying mysekf, but at least does something else if ruin stays up (aura reading).
-
I am surprised they posted on twitter about this issue if the intent was to do nothing. Why not be open and transparent? They obviously know by now either something will be done, or (more likely) not. So just say it.
