Keys are problematic because people can bring them in and just put them down somewhere until they need them. Franklin's is entirely countered in this way. You don't need the Key until the hatch is going to appear anyway. The may counter to Keys was the Mori because people didn't bring a lot of them in for fear it would cause the Killer to put one on. Now they have no fear of that.

Objects dropped don't eventually disappear? Or is that only when add-ons force you to drop it?

  • I tunnel anyone bringing in a key. Sorry ahead of time.

It's ridiculous to be dominating a match and then suddenly see 2+ survivors exit the game prematurely. Just expect to be tunneled when carrying one and we'll all get along fine.

It's not important for you, but there are other people playing the game. For some of them, it is important. For the others, it won't have any negative effect on them, so there's no reason for them to oppose it.

I could care less if they write something LBGTQ in the lore, but it be odd if the sexuality of the character was dominate in the lore, rather than a passing reference like every other character. Otherwise time to move on. As I stated above, you can make any other character whatever you want it to be, unless you sterotype the term "husband" and names.

Which characters have sexual representation at all in any fashion today?

Off the top of my head? Nurse, David, Felix, Frank, Julie, Ace.

At the moment you have a game where any character could be anything

    Patently untrue.

Not untrue at all. Is the Nurse bisexual? You are assuming because she had a "husband", or that her name is Sally, that you can determine her sexual orientation. Maybe she is Trans and took a husband.

I think you should get with the times.

Representation is important, and people (maybe not you) absolutely care about it.

Which characters have sexual representation at all in any fashion today?

At the moment you have a game where any character could be anything, but for some reason it's important to identify it from a back story perspective?

    What value does that add?

I disagree entirely. The game has very unique code, which would make some bugs unexpected. The design team did a great job, but the bug-fixing team didn't discover every single bug on the twins, since they seemed fine on the ptb. Now that they're released on the live patch, they're stressing out trying to find every single bug, recreating it and finding solutions. So, the devs don't deserve to be called out as bad programmers and such, but should be helped by the community.

But hey, that's just my opinion.

    Two issues:

    • Victor bugs were present on PTB, and are found in the forums prior to production release.
    • Simply playing a few matches with Twins is enough to see the major bugs. They also released a new map - saying that they didn't run Twins on the new map at least a few times before release is a farce. Certainly they did, certainly they saw the bugs and said "it's good enough, let's go live".
  • Here's the thing about Twins - when you hit it, you can do really well. I have had lots of matches where I get 4ks, even with 5 gens remaining.

I also have a number of matches where I get no kills. Okay, cool. I don't feel like I need to win every game.

The difference is really around survivor awareness - it's easy to make Victor miss. If I run Victor out to the other side of the map for pressure, and the survivor forces a miss (it happens), then Victor dying + switch + cooldown to unleash again is just way too long. What is that, 20-30 seconds penalty for missing a pounce?

I think the stomp action needs to go to 2 seconds instead of 3 (I know survivors want it longer - sheesh) and the switch between victor and charlotte needs to be consistent (not 6 seconds - 2 or 3, every time!). It's just too devastating when you miss a pounce - long enough to where you lose a gen if 2 or 3 are working on it.

So you bought something without informing yourself about it in any way and now you are not happy with your purchase and you think the devs don’t deserve to be treated in a respectful way because of it?

the bugs will get fixed in the next hotfixes. They are working hard on this. And this disastrous release will probably impact future releases and they will probably change accordingly.

they don’t have to find a new employer just because it isn’t perfect now. They can all improve on it, especially if they like their job and company otherwise..

You are a funny guy. Keep defending false advertising. In any way? Yeah, I read what they wrote about it. That is - some dev wrote about all the amazing new character and map improvements. They posted it for all to see. And they purposefully neglected to tell us about known bugs.

Silly me to expect products to work when sold. I am sure every player of this game goes to this forum before buying DLC.

That's the same "logic" people use to yell at cashiers because of something managers decided to do.

If the cashier knew that my milk was bad while checking me out, then I would yell at them too.

  • Yep, fool me once, shame on you. Last dlc purchase.

  • Actually, I didn't know of the issues. I bought on launch day, had heard of some bugs during testing from watching test server trailers but assumed they were going to be mostly fixed at launch, like most other games.

Instead, I read the banner announcements in the game that they posted that seemed to forget to list all of the known issues.

Higher ups or devs, they are all the same. They represent the same company, and if they are being forced to go live with known substandard product then they probably need to seek a new employer.

I mean...did they even try with this killer? So many oversights, it's unreal.

Imagine not having Victor chases count as chases, for example.

Would love for them to count, if only to stop infinite window loops.

I mean its not as if they didn't know about it, there were plenty of threads in the feedback section that went on about him getting stuck in the ground.

Well, that's my point. It's one thing to introduce a bug into a game, but another to actually sell a new add-on knowing there are significant issues. Issues that might not even be fixed until the new year.

  • Just had another exciting game where I was chasing the injured survivor to the gate and Victor gets stuck, switches back to Charlotte only to see the waking motion repeat glitch where you keep putting your head down.

    Money well spent!

I play both survivor and killer. You will win some and lose some. I don't care which killer you are playing or how bad you are losing or sucking. It doesn't matter if lose. Have fun doing it. Under no circumstances should a killer:

    1. Camp

    2. Tunnel

    3. Mori without it being death hook unless all generators are done

Slugging, as much as you may not like it, is fair game play.

This is wrong, of course. There are plenty of times when camping is permitted near or at end game.

I played a match yesterday where Victor was stuck for the first part of the game.

3 gens down later, I was forced to play closer to the hook to catch up.

If you are about to lose badly, camping is acceptable. It is the only opportunity to force the survivors to come to you and possibly improve your chances. It is not hard for 3 survivors to save the 4th even with camping.

  • I agree they are fun, but am already seeing signs of red ranks making it really hard to pounce. They will have to fix the pounce cool down and ridiculous switch time to make this long term viable.

When you jump on someone's back and it takes 5 seconds to switch but they can be thrown off in 8, sometimes I don't even get Charlotte pointed in the right direction before he's tossed off. Stupid.

Except it is the games fault. Even as spirit you dont have a good answer to survivors that just hold m1 and rush gens. The best you can do is down someone and force them out immediately. Survivors dont get to engage the killer and play the game because they have nothing to do. Just sot and hold m1 and look in 360 degrees around them for the killer.

This is correct. There's a mindset that somehow, if a survivor dies early in the game it's "unfair". But if all 4 survivors escape and the killer doesn't get a devout emblem, well, ce la vie.

Survivors who gen rush can easily get 2 generators done by the time you are on your second hook, when done properly. That's nearly half the game over. Mess up, let a chase go a bit long, and you can see 3 gens done. The best way to combat this is to force a survivor out before you get to 1 gen left.

  • Lots of good comments here, but as a killer main the best way to slow the game down is to kill a survivor. Period.

If you get to 1 gen left and there's 4 survivors, you are as good as toast. There's no way to start killing off survivors evenly so everyone equally has a good time. Sometimes you're just going to be the unlucky one.

I have played Twins extensively and am now quite good at it, but am frequently accused of camping. This is because (a) I stay in the area with Charlotte while controlling Victor and (b) Victor is so fast, I can run back to hook area and run down the fleeing injured survivor if they don't hide quickly. Neither is camping. Sometimes I get a down coming off hook and sometimes I don't. But chasing down the injured survivor coming off a hook is easy and I don't even have to be very close. The best red survivors are pretty good at avoiding victor, so it's possible that this technique may become ineffective as more players become accustomed to avoiding Victor's pounces (which is, frankly, easy to do).

Meanwhile, there's a lot other bad with Twins as described, but the above has proven to be very effective against all but the best red SWFs. Typically I lose the first couple of generators but after a few have been hooked and gens start condensing, then it starts to swing towards the Killer.
