Freddy and Spirit would disagree with your opening statement.
I'd say spirit does take some skill. You have to know the pathing survivors take to be good with her. Even then iron will is a kick to spirits non-existent nuts.
I do agree with freddy though.

You think the devs will listen eventually or is there no end in sight?
Depends, people have been complaining about her for years and nothing has been done beyond an addon pass.
Personally the only issue I have with spirit is her combination with stridor.

Man, I don't patrol the forums frequently, I have a life outside of DBD. I'm sure plenty of people have mentioned this but I'm just trying to make my voice heard
Too many to count bud. We've moved beyond caring at this point.
Well, I have anyway.

Oh look they created an infinite with a breakable wall. WHO COULD HAVE GUESSED.
Unless this is removed from the map by the time it goes live I will not play this map.
I don't care if the penaltiy goes to 4 hours 12 hours 24 hours or a full week. I refuse to play on a map where the designers are this (insert word I shouldn't say here) to realize that creating infinites with the justification that there is a breakable wall is **Bad Map Design** .
Anyway, hope the new killer is good otherwise this is looking to be even more of a disapointment than the Halloween "event" cough cash grab cough .
After zooming in on the photo you can see an orange glow coming from behind it. My guess is it leads to the main room of the main building where the fireplace is.

The map hasn't even been released yet. We know nothing of the other side of this wall, you're just making baseless assumptions here.
If this is how you feel then DC, I promise no one will be particularly bothered. There's no need to announce it on the forums like this; it achieves nothing.
They showed us photos of macmillans rework. Every breakable wall shown in there was final, even during the PTB.
So more than likely that breakable wall is staying.

You killer mains trip me out by calling survivor mains crybabies. Let someone mention Survive with Friends and the majority of you meltdown.
Why don't both of you take that crap elsewhere. We're discussing legion, not killer mains and survivor mains.
-
Either one

SHHHH the devs will hear you and replace an event with that cosmetic

I have been sent to the farm realm like 4 times in a row. Regardless of how good I do, I am going to get sick of seeing all the corn everywhere.
Yeah, but you don't see me complaining about it. If anything survivors are wasting farm offerings, when they should be sending you to ormond.
That is the one map that is judged by both sides to be extremely survivor sided
But you know, most of the time it's a hate the player not the game type of deal.
-
The only reason the original 3 have 5 realms each is because those were originally the only realms.
You sound like you want a reason to complain so you're taking it out on the realms you do bad on.
-
3, but I've been playing since before devotion cam out.

Imagine all of the realms being covered in snow. That would be so awesome.
Plus it would go a long way towards making the holiday season feel special in dead by daylight. As opposed to the non events we've been getting this year.

Yeah, it's frustrating af. I play other killers for the dailies/tomes when I need to, and most of them feel like you get much more worth out of their power than you do Legion's. I won't lie, I only play legion because I like the character(s) as a whole and I can't bring myself to level up other killers when I very rarely play as killer anyway. Almost any other killer is better than Legion, and anyone who disagrees with that just hates Legion because he's "unfun" to play against. The reward/cost ratio of his power isn't worth it half the time.
When a killer is LESS scary/threatening while using their power, it's a bad thing. If you're injured (which you usually are against legion) and you see Legion frenzy towards you, you're probably gonna be inclined to take the hit since he'll run off to hit someone else. You shouldnt WANT to be hit by someone's power, but injured survivors do, so he leaves them alone for a while. He needs some big changes, because as he is now, he may be unfun, but every game I play against another legion is usually an easy escape.
Honestly legionndoesn't even need a complete overhaul of their power like doc or freddy. I'd say they need an addon pass, MANY quality of life changes, and they could also make deep wounds an actual threat instead of a minor annoyance.

The devs have been kicking legion while he’s down since his initial nerf
Certainly feels like that happened to them. I watched PTB legion gameplay, and that short stun looks like it was amazing to have.
-
@quentinsimp said:
Yep, I'm right there with you. I main legion on the few occasions I play killer, and his power is needlessly punished. No scratch marks, long stun at the end, power ends if you miss or if you hit a person a second time, no way to kill people with your power.
The reason for this? Legion is not allowed to have nice things, because survivors hate him and devs don't know what to do to make him less hateable.
I've been a blight main for a while now, and after just starting on legion it feels so horrible. I could count so many instances where I would've downed survivors if I was playing blight.
But instead I have to wait an agonizing 4 seconds as I watch a survivor make it to a safe loop that would cost me a gen to run.
-
I still think it's an original. There's no license holder in the credits of the teaser.

I think it would be cool... Instead of Mist offerings it could be snowfall up to a white out
Footsteps in the snow (tracking)
Scratch makes being visible
Imagine stuff like this for halloween, they could add pustula flowers spiraling up trees, plop some pumpkins down here and there. Plus they could also turn the moon orange like it is in the cutscenes.

It's too much expectation. I rather safely play the game normally w the current issues than to deal w game breaking bugs than come to the forums and read all the complaints.
All just to see some snow ...
I really hope someone other than you responds because you're really bringing me down today dude.
I see where you're coming from but you don't have to assume the worst in everything.
This is a what if scenario where they didn't break the game by adding snow to the maps.
-
@noctis129 said:
It would create bugs and gives the devs a headache.
It's really bad that we can even forsee that being a problem.
But you know, the devs have a track record of breaking their spaghetti code during EVERY update. So they only have themselves to blame.Really wish they would do an update devoted to cleaning up the old coding.
But to me something like the snow would go a long way in making the holiday season feel actually special in dead by daylight. As opposed to the non-events we've been receiving this year.

^This. I´m down with the thiccness, the mist got nothing on her.
On a serious note, I never percieved Ormond to have denser mist or anything like that. Not that it would be needed, though, since scratches and blood are very hard to track there as-is. Might be a Blight POV thing.
I guess most killers can actually see over the mist.
Still wierd that blight is one of the few that can't.
-
I wish there was more killer diversity in higher ranks. Sadly to have much of a chance of winning against higher level survivors you either have to know a low level killer in and out. Or play the meta and get flamed in the end game chat.

Note that there are obstacles that being reused from realm to realm: Haddon field house in SpringWood, MacMilan big tank-track in Autoheaven, Autoheaven car in SpringWood.
Good visual representation of what I'm worried about. I don't see how people aren't worried about every realm being the same boring grey color. With the only distinguishing thing about the map being the main building and killer shack.

@VIle said:
The atmospheric colors really sets the tones on maps. The Blue of mothers dwelling gives it a cold, damp felling. Dead Dawg Saloon has a nice dusky sandy tone to it which fits.
I hope they keep some colours, or at least add them back later. It added to the surrealistic vibe they were going for much better than full bright high contrast HD white light that washes everything out.
I could never put what I was thinking into words, but that is exactly it.
Taking away the filters really takes away from the identity of the realms.
-
I'd say it's at a good point, it's not totally useless on 110 killers, and it's not a wasted perk slot on the regular killers.
Plus tinkerer can be (somewhat) countered by working on a gen in an open area to see the killer coming. And having two people work on a gen to finish it before the killer arrives.

I was a blendette for a while, I just found hiding to be boring and stopped. Still miss when I could pull of some of the most bullcrap plays purely just because of how hard I was to see.
-
I really hope they don't mess with the green filter, it gives the map some individuality from the other realms.
-
I honestly could not have put it better myself, thanks for putting that into words.
Really wish the devs put the effort into this game, it could be so amazing. Instead we get stuff like the eternal blight "event" and this rift.

They won't, pretty sure. They removed the red from Yamaoka and the blue from MacMillan
They kept yamaoka's red filter, as well as badhams purple. Not sure why they're taking them out of the newly reworked maps though.
Also r.i.p. macmillans blue filter, it will be missed.

My guess: It's easier to make a consistent base before you start to add individuality.
I hope so, otherwise every remade map is going to look the same.

I betcha they're going to put a breakable wall in the doorway of the workshop, the one right next to the window.
Then it'll become an infinite of you don't waste your time breaking it.

Now watch as the loops are harder to deal with and the weird lookin grass is on this map for some reason
You think we'll even be able to see scratch marks after the graphical update? It's hard enough to see them on ormond as is.

Thank god Ormond is getting changed finally no more jungle gym into a jungle gym into a jungle gym and no more losing 4 gens walking to the other side of the map
Really hope they keep the green filter for autohaven. In general the filters give all of the realms a unique feeling to me.

I really hated the deep blue, green, and yellow tones on the original maps. Glad its being made more neutral.
My main complaint is that it'll all look the same, like how macmillan is just plain boring grey.
To me the color filters give the realms identity, like how the yamaoka estate has it's red filter. Or how badhan has it's deep purple.
I don't understand making the original realms more neutral while keeping the filter color of those two

You say that like you can see over vaults as blight
In general he can't see over most loops that other killers can. Which really gives survivors more mind games against him than they could against the regular height killers.

Looking at the autohaven images it looks like they're taking away the green filter. Which really sucks because the color filters give character to the maps.
Ormond seems like it's going to look cool, and hopefully it gets balanced.
-
I actually like the darkness on older maps, doesn't make things too hard to see.
On the other hand the new maps are blendette paradise.
-
Depends on how much I want to suffer
-
Dang, I was really hoping we'd at least hear something, it's been nearly a good couple of months since they mentioned it.
Can't imagine they'd just scrap it after telling us about it.
-
Heh, boobie.
In all seriousness I wish they gave us more shards, which would make a perfect addition for the empty spaces in the free track of the rift.
The least they could do is make the charms look more unique. I really don't like the ones that look like squares with a jpeg on then. Too easy to make, and serve no purpose other than rift padding.
-
I have the observation skills of a potato and the frames of a slideshow.
So if you move slightly left or right I'll most likely miss my lunge.
If they hide behind anything I most likely won't find them.
-
When crossplay was turned on everyone I played with that had that globe icon teabagged and flashlight clicked at me.
When I had enough I turned it off, latency is somewhat better, and the people are somewhat better. But something I noticed was that all the toxic people had weird movement compared to what I was used to, so my guess is most if not all of the toxic people were on pc, not much of a surprise there.

Play nice until someone gives me a reason not to. Then their [BAD WORD] is mine.
