Wait, you really think bubba is stronger than nurse? Am I getting you right?
@fulltonon i think they wanted to quote you here and made a mistake.
I think this is the desired quote:

...and he is?
Doesn't even matter if against swf or solo que, he can almost guarantee 2k in pretty much any matches... losing as bubba is nigh impossible.
And on top of it, he can easily achieve 3-4k if survivors make a mistake, he IS strongest killer if we think about kill rate.
And yes with the combination of his power, accessability, easy learning curve and silynergy with certain playstyles bubba is the "strongest" killer ON AVERAGE over the whole playerbase.

It's actually been true a lot. I've experience some of those crazy long killer times and switched to playing survivor because I just got sick of the wait.
The same has never been true of survivor wait times. I've never had a problem with long wait times as survivor.
The worse I've seen with survivor has been less than 5 minutes. The worse with killer was over 15 minutes.
Then you play at ungodly hours or in an unusual region.
Playing between 8pm-1am in Eu, on PC, with crossplay on here (btw that's how you give comparable information for queue times arguments) and my killer queue times haven't been above 30 seconds in the last few years.
Early mornings can be 5+ minutes but even on a workday in the afternoon they were 2-4 minutes tops.

I haven't touched survivor in 3 days. I wouldn't be so sure of that. I'm getting past the withdrawals and I'll be home free.
Survivors are crazy if they continue playing this killer sided mess with killer sided devs with constant killer sided patches.
The only way to stop the complete massacre of the survivor role is for survivors to stop playing.
Uhh boy, 3days??? The outrage 🤣

best Tipp i can give is: Play for your BBQ Stacks, and leave it at that. (as long as we still have BBQ Bonus BP)
get 4 Hooks and then just stopp going for Survivors. Take a Killer you can do fun stuff with. Huntress for example, you try to aim a bit and maybe do some long shots... Hillbilly, Blight, Spirit, Demo you can do some pretty fun stuff with them aswell.
Don't care about what the Survivors are doing and just have some fun trying things out.
Eventually your MMR will drop and it gets easier and easier to get those 4 Stacks. And at One point you can even start playing for real again after you had your fun and Practice. :D
Sadly this secondary objective, which is way more fun and visually rewarding than basic kills and the 4k, is going to get removed with the coming perk update 😭

I like how even with the DC penalty I have at least one person DC like every single match. At this point I'm like: when will the DC happen? Like #########? The DC penalty doesn't discourage anyone from DCing, so what's the point of it really?
Have you ever played when the penalty is off?
That's when true hell breaks loose and you have to be lucky to get even half a game before the majority just disconnects.
Wrong random map? Instant DC
Wrong killer? Instant DC
First to get hit or even just found? Instant DC
First on hook or on the way there? Instant DC
And even better than the way it is at the moment, the second one person DCs two or 3 other just follow suit because there are no penalties.
Like i said, when penalties are off you have to pray to see a trial end in a natural way.

The other day i got disconnected by the game three times in a row. Had to wait every time. Filed a ticket and they can't do anything about it 🙃
Maybe take three consecutive disconnects as a sign to stop trying for the day and the penalty will run out on itself?
When i get one or two games in league of legends or Rainbow 6 Siege, were my connection is spotty and I periodically dis- and reconnect, i usually stop playing online games for that day to A) avoid any penalties and B) to not put my friends i play with at a disadvantage.
And even if i were playing with randoms it would be embarrassing for me to ruin other people's games due to my stubbornness in trying despite knowing better.
-
Ruin got nerfed just all the other top 5 used perks on both sides. Exactly because of this point "top 5 perks used the most", no matter why or how.
They just took a sledgehammer and reduced all those perks to nothing and buffed others to nearly DIRECTLY replace them.
Instead of the more productive solution of nerfing the meta down and simultaneously buffing some other perks up to a slightly less powerful state and therefore create a bigger used perk variety.
But no, they just change "what" we are going to see just as often as the current meta.
It's going to be the same boring repeating loadouts but they will look different and the devs can pat their shoulders because they "changed the meta".
-
Ah the entitlement knows no boundaries at some point.
You didn't do something that has been made easier. You haven't payed more than the would now. If you had any kind of disadvantage due to a change that would make it other people easier/cheaper to achieve the same.
Only then you would eligible for any kind of compensation.

This is only going to make it go down too. A lot of Solo players aren't going to want to put up with Timmy No Thumbs trying to do what his favorite tuber saw and try to get 6 hits in a game while no gens are being done. lmfao
I agree with an above post. They need to have everything a surv does count towards MMR. It's different for Killer, but for solo survivor everything you do in a match should count.
It's actually not that different for killer though?
If you avoid tunneling, camping and/or slugging and keep survivor playtime in mind you can easily end up with a 4e all on death hook, dozens of hits, chases, broken pallets, gen regress but in the end for the MMR you lost and nothing else.
And you have to work with that kind of playstyle in mind when many just right out want to make tunneling, camping and slugging just impossible.
You have to adjust the game so that the desired playstyle is even fun and leaves a chance to the other side.
-
Well the (steam) olayerbase went back to pre anniversary event numbers from the public stats.
Don't know how it looks on other platforms but i guess it isn't that different and thanks to the announcements of meta shut down i guess maybe the distribution between solo, killer and swf might also have shifted coupled with the unknown distribution of the leaving people in terms of their MMR.

Bro they’re never gonna remove the ability to play with friends lol
That was the majority of the time not the goal of people complaining about swf. Buff solo with aura reading and HUD improvements to a level were communication doesn't give a feasible advantage so you can balance around survivor roughly as a whole.
@dspaceman20 said:
Swf communication can only do so much. If the survivor can't run the killer long enough for the other people doing gens.
When people talk about swf they are referring the bully squads. However I'm always skeptical when people complain about them because sometimes what the killer calls bullying is just the survivors playing the game. Not to say they don't really exist they do.
You don't need necessarily a true bully squad. A group that gets matched with a killer of equal or even lower skill (we know how "good" the matchmaking is) and has plans for some non standard "fun" like group sabo or flashlight locker shenanigans, will already do the trick. It doesn't need a death squad against many casual killers.
@Tatt3dWon said:

so what's your answer to it add another mode make sure you cant play with friends? Lets not play with friends in a multiplayer game = dead ....... Lets get rid of coms = Impossible
Like i said above, make comms obsolete or less impactful by badekit aura reading and HUD improvements.
The coordination factor can then be addressed by finally balancing around only 2 sides and improving the accuracy of the matchmaking algorithm.
But all this is just a pipe dream given how the management and the devs of bhvr work on things.
Wonderfully demonstrated by the upcoming "meta change" by sledgehammering the meta and buffing some other stuff up to the same old over the top level. Instead of tweaking the meta perks and their numbers and elevating a portion of the other perks, all to a level between the top meta and the useless stuff.
-
Well that happens when the soften the matchmaking criteria in exchange for faster queue times.
The ybasicly disable the matchmaking to a degree for better queue times.

I wanna think you're being sarcastic, but if not... But people usually play both side.
Even me who played 100% Survivor, I started to enjoy Killer. (I avoided Killer because of how stressful it is for me. But I have a nice cosmetic now, so I can lose with style.)
Wasnt that the case for the last months/years that during the day killer queue was long and survivor queues short?
And during "prime time" aka after 7pm in the respective region it switched to minute long survivor queue and nearly instant killer queue.
Doesn't sound like something new to me.

@DY86 said:
I know what u mean bro, but it simply wouldn’t work. The only viable counterplay is not get locked into a 3 gen. The killer wants the win just as much as the survivors so if they have to patrol that 3gen its only fair u know.
that being said, the other day I spectated the last 2 survs remaining, the killer was heavily patrolling the 3gen and wouldn’t commit so they decided to hide inside a locker and wait for the killer to dc….which he did
20 or 30 minute trial time limit with forced egc start but still closed and powered doors.
Survivor still have a chance to leave if the maybe start on both gates simultaneously or with bad rng the killer can protect both.
And the trial can't go on for eternity but has a fixed ending.
-
Well survivor have one for their scratchmarks and both sides have one for windows and pallets (windows of opportunity and Zanshin tactics).
So the only thing left for newby learning perks would be this.
-
The most important part that goes is that it gives casual killer like me a soft goal instead of the 4k to work towards.
Now that it goes away i have not really anything visual and direct left to play for but the kills and my killing boner died off a few years back.
Edit: And the number of hooks doesn't really cut it for me. Especially when i have to put in the effort to keep in mind who is on death hook and who can take one more without dying thanks to the useless hook counter killer have.

It does make sense. As you have some players who are fantastic with a particular killer and will have higher MMR with them, MMR that's in the next bracket. On their weaker killers they do not get matched with the players that their main killer then gets matched with.
So here the masses "suffer" for the few but neither good nurse player nor 4 men swf death squads warrant a change or restriction?
Edit: Is the potential advantage of comms that might come with swf even considered in the matchmaking at all or is it still just the average MMR of the group used?
-
@Mandy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3048197#Comment_3048197
No it doesn't work that way
If you've got any experience of playing killer, your MMR on other killers would never be in the super low range - as whilst you might be new to a specific killers power, you still have game and map knowledge. Hence you do have different MMR scores for various killers that you use - however, it might not be much difference.
If you look at the graphs we've shown previously the majority of the player base is in the mid MMR ranges, so it stands to reason that their different killers are also within that range, maybe some slight differences overall.
So the blocked option to switch killer doesn't make much sense anymore, does it?
Promised or rather hoped for was a system that would make a noticable difference between a freshly bought killer and ones main.
But that's not the case thanks to MMR catch-up mechanics between ones killer characters and the softened matchmaking parameters.

Well i don't tunnel/camp/slug but you made a post blaming all killer in general.

And like i said, the answer to your question is "Just because".

@Nikatara69 said:

DbD community is toxic it self, but OK, what is the point tunneling and camping when 5 gens not done?
Whats the point of waiting the whole 2 minutes in the exit gate without a killer in even terror radius range?
And it became custome even if the killer comes and the survivor don't tbag, they just dip out at the last second and get chase points but deny the killer hit points. It also positive for survivors and negative for the killer chaser emblem.
So except for gaining two minutes time in exchange for dignity and emotional stability (the amount of damage doesn't matter here), there is absolutely zero reason anymore to go to the exit gates.
Edit: Sorry typed myself into a rant there. To your question, there is no answer besides to be a dick, for both scenarios, yours and mine.

I don't do this but I play for hooks more than kills and I often see myself with 3 hooks all game and no kills.
Same here, 8hooks/0kills playstyle.
And depending on my BP gain i open the gate myself for the points since i don't care about the kills anyway.
-
Just open the gates yourself, let them out and decrease kill rates. Play the long con and wait for more buffs.
-
You cant win with this type of "people".
You either play "unfair"/to win with tunneling, camping and/or slugging and get cussed at, insulted and called names
Or
You play "fair"/for fun/relaxed and get talk down to/degraded/ also insulted.
You won't please everyone and if you really want to get back at them then the best way is to ignore and not interact with them during the game. I personally lose all interest after the first hook in people that flashlight clicks spam or tbag at every opportunity.
Or you just quit playing DBD and increase their lobby waiting times.
-
First of all the MMR regress never came and even with it, thanks to the softening of matchmaking parameters during unbalanced queue times, it doesn't even really matter and sometimes we are back to "rainbow rank" like times.

I don't think they mean "fun to listen to them" but it's "fun to annoy the killer" because the normal gameplay is "boring" after a while.
Aka a ######### reason to keep it in the game.
-
My reason for having mained oni.
He is the one that came up the least on "killer i don't like" and often on "killer i like to verse" lists.
Also he is fun to play as either M1 and dith his power.
-
Does nobody understand that this was exactly the goal of all the mind numbing hard nerfs for DS, ruin, pop, self care and so on?
The devs didn't think of a way to make the meta a little less appealing while also making other perks the same level of attractive. To create a less oppressive and more diverse meta.
They treated the perks with the highest Pickrate and their respective interesting/valuable aspects with a sledgehammer and buffed some less picked perks to the same level of the meta at this moment.

Right, so if a killer has chased you and only you for the majority of the game, but you've managed to survive until the gates are powered, you're suddenly not being tunneled? This BHVR logic does not compute.
If that's the case then there are 3 other people that can help you, aren't they?
That's what I mean, play for 12 hooks as killer and distribute them "fairly" according to survivor wishes and you will end up with 4 people alive at end game.
You don't need 3-4 extra chances per person but should be able to work together.
And 4e isn't supposed to happen regularly in the first place just like 4k shouldn't be the norm. So if one or two die at end game it is totally okay, of course the survivor will still feel "robbed" of their earned escape but we have to remind everybody that this is a 4vs1 and not everybody of the 4 can win all the time. At least in the perfect scenario the killer. Gets close to 10 hooks and 2 kills so everybody got the maximum amount of action during the trial.
-
Well survivor want for killer to go for the spread out 1€ hook playstyle which inevitably leads to 3 or 4 survivor being alive during egc.
At the current time against a good team the game could simply just end because any killer without a dedicated end game build has no chance to secure a kill vs BT, DS + ub and mutliple teammates bodyblocking while nearly every last one of them also runs dh.
Depending on the matchmaking fuckup and/or the picked killer survivor can dance circles around killer thanks to all the second chances.
Survivor don't want to get tunneled and camped but without that they still have their whole arsenal of weapons ready for egc.
So you can't have it both, no camping tunneling (soon tm) and all those second chance effects. So for the devs to really do something about camping and tunneling they have to give killer a realistic chance at the end of the game where those second chances hurt the most.
Edit: And yes i know this is expecting the devs to finally really do something against camping or tunneling but they have to star somewhere and these changes can still be overcome with coordination and teamwork.

And I know it's not only the one trial where i managed to escape alone against a huntress because of some achievements on the survivor side. Otherwise I couldn't even remember more than that one game.
-
Let just correct you on one point.
The gen time increase won't be 50 seconds ON AVERAGE but AT MAXIMUM not taking gen slowdown perks into consideration because you can't possibly put an average on all different slowdown/gen speedup perk combinations coupled with killer characters, maps and survivor premade group sizes.
If you talk about average, the only one you could halfway reliable mention would be the 12,5 extra seconds it would be with all 4 survivor working non stop on separate gens and even that doesn't add up because they would start working together for the last one messing up that average.
And normally it isn't even 4 survivor working at all times but 2-3 gens popping at first hook (then less likely with the time increase) and then 2 survivor tops working parallel.
And I am not up for the task to calculate that in every possible combination.
Tldr: it is impossible to put an average on the increased trial length due to gen time increase.

Certain parts are great. Certain parts though are unnecessarily changed. I hate the thing that they do where when they make something better then they feel like they NEED to also add drawbacks. Doesn't matter if they are big or small. It just simply doesn't always have to happen, depending on what it is obviously. This is unnecessary for the prestige system and simply should not exist.
These things are:
1. Having to pay 50 000 Bloodpoints to prestige. Why does this exist? I mean I could guess why. It's not a good reason though.
2. Put the prestige bloody cosmetics back the way they were. This is just increasing the grind by double for these for absolutely no good reason. Then you can keep the charms the way they are but I'd say they should be put in 4, 5 and 6.
Let me ask you specifically for point 2, what's the difference between on one hand
leveling you favorite character over a hundred times at level 50 with the most expensive bloodwebs to get them either all or just a specific perk while being unlucky
And on the other
Leveling them a fixed 150 levels while half of those are small and cheap bloodwebs to get some cosmetics on your favorite character?
Especially now when prestige is no longer optional (my big gripe with the new system) and you have to level characters further and further for items/add-ons/offerings.

The deal is not big, that is the issue xD They have announced it as such a huge CHANGE or shake up but it barely changes anything. That is the reason of this post.
Well i just found out a few minutes ago that presitge at level 50 is no longer optional, so that changes a few things.
Because without that i would say the new system is worlds better in the long run. Maybe not for new people but most if not all pvp games aren't newbie friendly, rainbow six siege and league of legends character unlocking system for example.

They intentionally nerfed all meta perks into borderline uselessness to "shake up the meta" instead of nerfing them slightly to bring them in line and buff other to the same level to create a little weaker but broader meta with more variety.

Yes its mandatory, you cannot avoid it,you are forced to prestige and pay 50k bps.
Wow okay, i wouldn't mind the 50k but having to start all the time collecting the yellow and brown trash again and again seems disappointing.
I usual go for that to level my characters up fast at the moment but i expected to get rid of that mentality with the new system. Guess not.
-
Wait, is prestiging at level 50 no longer optional but mandatory with the new system?
All my argumentation that the new system is better in terms of keeping all items/add-ons/offerings and so on was with the thought that you could still decide if you wanted to prestige or accumulate high grade items.
-
I don't get what's the big deal.
You just level every character to 50 instead of 40 for their teachables and instead of having to hope the bloodweb perk roulette, it gives you what you want and they are already there on every character and you can just level the killer/survivor you want to play further like you used to to even find the right perks. And just by presitiging the favorite character you get their perks on P3 on everybody else and even better you don't lose the accumulated items, add-ons and offerings anymore.
And when you have BP over, after your favorite character is done, you can P3 the rest bit by bit and every new chapter that comes in the future you will have 99% of all perks ready from the get go.

I got one like this (one of the Proteus core serie) and unbinding the wheel and making it roll free gives indeed about 320 clicks per second(measured with software), but I couldn't do it an do anything else with the mouse. If I only do a nudge, it goes to about 120 per second.
I've tried to have more timed control for the start/stop and it seems doable.
That being said, the issue stands.
Then we are on the same page and I just wanted to clarify that it's not only external software that can achieve it.
And yes the issue is annoying as hell and just an instrument to taunt, nothing else and has to be dealt with.
