How bad would it be if 5-10 seconds were shaved off of the timer?
How bad are you in the game ? I need to call Killer Service Assistance ? Your job is to patrol gen and to hook as much as possible, not to tunnel a survivor for 3-4 gen... If you don't do that, eat DS, simple. And it's 60sec.... only 5sec stun...

Changing moris is much simpler and much more effective. After 3 hooks you can mori. This prevents tunneling and ensures surivors have a chance, without being too harsh towards the offering. It's not as strong bu still strong non the less.
Super quoted. It will be nice to use Mori, like you said, only after 3 or 4 hooks . I have seen too many people tunnel like no tomorrow just to use the shiny red mori. It's, in my opinion, one of the most boring (and abused from baby killer and try hard tunnelers) offer you can use as Killer. And i play mostly Killer in my free time (red rank).
@MegMain98 said:
The best way to change the ebony mori is to have it so you cannot start killing survivors until you have hooked every survivor at least one time.
That way if the killer hooks Meg and Claudette goes to save, the killer is not going to tunnel down Meg down and get an easy mori, instead the killer is going to chase the Claudette which would incentivize killers not to tunnel as well.
Mega quoted 100%. Agree 100%

I said it in another thread but these things get buried so quickly that I'm just gonna repeat it...
The issue is there are two kinds of SWF groups
- The group of friends who want to play together
- The SWAT Team
Group 1 is great to play with. They're fun; they get to have a good time with their friends while I as the killer get to go through my normal Killer Duties and stab people
Group 2 is the problem. While this may be anecdotal evidence, I have found that the SWAT Team is usually not only damn impossible to beat since they are in constant communication with each other but they're always the biggest toxic ######### to play again. If there is a cheap tactic, they'll use it and if they get any chance at all to mock the killer, they will 1000% take it.
The biggest issue that Group 2 causes though is that these are the groups killers remember and these are the groups that make killers quit the game because they're not only frustrating to play from a game-play standpoint, they always seem to make sure to rub it in your face and make the experience as awful as humanly possible.
The problem is that I don't know how you could solve Group 2 without directly hurting Group 1. If Group 1 starts getting hammered and frustrated by nerfs, they're gonna quit and now you just lost four players from your player pool. If you just ignore Group 2 though, Killers are eventually just going to say "F*#$ this S$1* I'm out" and now no one has anyone to play against as your Killer pool Yeets out.
I do not envy the position that the DBD team is in here
Correction to your statement, let's expand the categories:
- The group of friends who want to play together and are ... Potato
- The group of friends who want to play together and are ... OK
- The Swat Team (not so often)
First category happens very often. They are the most funny guys i face in Match, if i see they are very Potato and i can easy dominate them I let them complete usually 4 or 5 gen removing one surv after 2 gen, 1 gen, 2 gen and the last one close to the gate (last kill sometimes doesnt work but that's my philosophy if i face those teams). Noone is mad, usually, at the end of the match. They dont lose pip or at least they have safety pip.
I face Second category often. They are not incredible neither bad and you have a challenging match.
The third category. Noo, it doesnt happend so often. And when it happend i have complete silence in my room, i dont touch my caffe, i turn my cell phone off and i start the try hard mode. Challenges are the best thing in life. And they are in my opinion an interesting challenge. why to stop em to play together ? Everyone want challenges!
- PS1 - I propose too to remove Swat Team SWF, when Killers will stop to tunnel like no tomorrow (and a lof of them are so addicted about that in red ranks too...)
- PS2 - I play too more Killer than Surv

But please enlighten me on how I'm a bad killer when I got punished for being a killer and Jane is using a cutch perk with no downside's or risk's!
You are not bad (nice gameplay with ONI) but dont tell me it's the standard. It's not.
If we are speaking about the vid you still had 5 gen, and one or probably 2 losed DS after that. Sounds like a victory for me.

Weak argument. You're using self care against low ranked killers and survivors that don't know what they're doing. Different in red ranks.
I know. It's different in red ranks, when i play from the other acc i use a completely different build.
Just saying that selfcare is not so bad, it depends on your rank and your build.
You have a weak argument too because you are underestimating a killer higher rank. If you are 1shotted from him you fall to the ground in the same way from a Killer rank 1. The only difference in higher ranks is that many times (not always) noone will help you to unhook if the killer is 10 steps away from you. :/ (i dont judge em ofc, this is just what i saw).

I just posted it cause i wanted to. Regardless both sides complain about everything. If killer keep tunneling it their fault for doing it. If survivor don't do totems it their fault for getting hit by noed. Both sides need to stop complaining and play the game.
Holy Words
- To blame DS is just an excuse, most of the times, because the killer had a bad game (it happens, shi* happens, it's a game, you win, you lose)
- To blame NOED is really an excuse, because survivors forgot to do Bones and it's one of their objective (or they just did an incredible genrush to finish everyone at the end of the match on the ground, their mistake...)

Everyone does that now. Even with kindred on, people rush for unhooks and fight for totems and chests.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1260329#Comment_1260329
First off, that's how it works now. Second off, it wouldn't work like that. Say you're in purple ranks, you got there by out playing green ranks. If two of your teammates continually out play you, then you stay in purple ranks where you belong, you out play them and you move to red.
If you're a potato that self cares in the corner, you won't get to red ranks. As it stands now, two gens and two unhooks and you pip, that would no longer cut it.
MMM No. Why you hate so much selfcare. I give you a test case. ALT Acc, Purple Rank. I was put together milion times with 17-18 Ranks (no i am not trolling from ALT; it's just for testing purposes and i use always only in solo). It's not a problem for me to play with Ranks 17-18 but most of them are super scaried to unhook. Not their fault, if they are there it means they dont have many hours in game. But i use selfcare to avoid to be 1shooted, ofc because there is a problem too on those ranks with people that cure you, they fail skillcheck most of the times even doing that.
-
That's another story but ok 😁 And i dont wait OFC 60 sec watching the player on the ground, i understand stalking in game but that kind of stalking is .... useless. I go close the gen i think someone is working, usually i find a nice gift... close to it... In the meantime 2 surv were off to the gen, goal (if you slug, 1 has to rescue the surv on the ground = 2 on a gen, sometimes only 1)
-
@oh_0k said:
Seriously tho why do survivors only think killers can only get stunned by ds if they're standing right in front of the hook and immediately down the unhooked survivor?
Why do survivors ignore all those times where killers get hit by ds even if they fairly outplayed the survivor at the loop or a survivor jumps into a locker as soon as the killer gets near them, if they killer leaves they get back on the gen, but if the killer stays the other survivors are free to do gens, and if the killer eats ds the survivor can just run across map.
Let's not pretend ds is only used for anti tunnel and not as a free escape that rewards bad survivors and punishes good killers
DS doesnt reward a bad survivor. And if the Killer doesnt want the stun (everyone have it in red rank) is free to slug, nothing forbids it unless the Killer knows what "slugging" is (but that's another story) ..... Moreover DS is for 60sec one time when BT instead can be used every time a Surv is unhooked.
Let's not pretend DS is so hard to counter. If someone fails to counter DS it is because most of the times he has :
- 1) gameplay problems (higher ranks)
- 2) he is sweating like no tomorrow all match for 1 single hook (again, killer super high rank in an unfair match, it happens, shi** happens)
- 3) just started to play (not many hours ingame)

Bond helps much more with decision making though. You get to see what others are doing and therefore what the best course of action would be. It'll also help you prevent interrupting gen repairs while being chased. Bond and Kindred help be more efficient overall, Empathy not so much.
Helps more with decision making ? IDK, not sure 100% if you go for real in solo 36m are nothing compared to Empathy LEV3 128m. Matches are fast and there is always someone injured running in the map. If i am on the other side on the map i see n-o-t-h-i-n-g with Bond but i can see with Empathy (high % someone is injured) and according the survivor/s movement i move and i do gens.

If you wanna see who's being chased, why not run Empathy? Bond doesn't always let you see people, as there are times where people are so spread out that it's impossible. I'd rather run empathy if I run any kind of aura reading perk. I find very few times where bond helped me with anything.
@Atrushan88 i use Empathy for the same reason. Too many times people spread in the map. Impossible to understand exactly what's happening with Bond. But i understand what's happening with Empathy.

And he already throw the game by picking up the kate, seems to me he was just memeing and doing it purposefully just to do this vid
I "hate" you @YuiKim , i wanted to say the same thing.
- 1) The Guy, i think was playing in Red Rank, knows that every single player has DS (at least 3 in match if not 4). If somone unhook one in front of you, you insta-chase him, you pick him up instantly, you face DS, everyone knows that, even WALLS. If you do a video about that it means you are just doing a MEME.
- 2) if you dont do regression to a gen close to you, it's your mistake, it's not DS mistake.....
- 3) if you play in Red Ranks and you dont use perks to slow down the game, to do gen regression, ecc.. ecc.. it's your fault, dont blame DS if gen are fast...
- 4) Last update is more than ever Killer friendly (less safe zones, less pallets, less windows, ecc.. ecc..). If your performances as Killer in game are worst than before, you have to rethink your strategy, something is wrong with your build, with your gameplay, .. ecc. ecc.., not with DS.

Killers and Survivors need to stop blaming perks for their losses, and start realizing that maybe the other players are... I don' t know: Better? Shocking, I know!
Could NoED and DS be made a bit more fair? Sure. And I think it's worth discussing. But most of the time it's unlikely you lost because of either of those perks. It's either the difference in skill level, or more rarely, something else wrong with the game. (Maps and Keys for killers, Moris and Face Camping for survivors)
Shocking truth, it hurts most of the time. I agree with everything. Speaking Killer side (i speak for myself) i lose usually for a baaaad build (i like to change build often with spirit since i play her 99% times, it's boring otherwise), many many errors in match and great survivors. Fact.
And i don't blame for DS, neither for DH. You win, you lose, it happens.

The only pain DS brings me is when its used strategically by SWFs who know when to use it best.

Bait thread ? Yes and No. I've seen too many thread blaming for DS that i was bored so i said my opinion. I'm not good, i'm not bad in this game but i've done many many hours to say with confidence that most (not everyone) of the killers blaming DS are .... just ... hardcore tunnelers or inexperienced players who are stalking a single survivor for 4-5 gen and then get the stun in post match.

Yep, when I am playing killer NOW (for past 2 month), I always try to bring mori and my strongest build.
You see, something is wrong with matchmaking. And this is a huge problem in this game.
So from 6 - 8pm PST I am usually being matched with normal survivors and. Their rank matches mine, like I am rank 9 now and survs are 6 - 8, maybe some red ranks. I can play and and enjoy the game. I usually don't use mori.
8 - 10 PST -- SWF time! You gonna commit to one surv and he is going to loop you through entire map. They know where is each pallet and how to loop any tile. Commit to one and you gonna lose 5 gens. Commit to another one -- and there gonna be same looping story.
As result, I am loosing my rank points and feel really bad about this game. With my best perks and addons I just cannot do anything. This is not fair.
So, why wouldn't I start match with mori for first two survs. This would make the rest of the game a little bit more fun for the killer.
I don't want to lose my rank just because I was outplayed by much much more experienced people. Now I see a lot of red ranks, like 1 - 4 being constantly matched with with me, rank 9. Why?
And of course that depends. Playing versus red ranks gives me a ton of experience. And not all red ranks are "looping gods", so I don't even always use mori. But if I see they did 3 gens before I even hooked one surv... fellas survivors, this is mori time!
So, maybe developers could finally fix matchmaking, which is broken for several month already?
MM search is not the best of the world but, according your statement, sounds like you dont have many hours or you are not using a nice combo of perks for map and killer in that map. Is it possible to understand which killer you were playing, map and perks ?

Oh accusions, that's new.
Anyway, i'm playing nurse on R1, so i can easily down three people in sixty seconds. My point is, that after two hooks and chases the person with DS goes for the unhook. I don't got timers for all survivors.
No accusations @NursesBootie , it's just weird, strange, it's not a common thing and i think you agree with me.
Timers? If i can count 60 and i remember who went down (and i'm older than you, i'm sure 99.99%) you can do it 1.000.000 times better than me. I know, it's boring, but you know better than me that it works.

I didn't do that well in the game no, but a triple DS still suggests it's more powerful than just a tool to stop tunnelling. It's not really uncommon either, I've been on the other side too a lot of times as survivor only getting out the exit gates because of DS, only being able to save another survivor in endgame because we both have DS active and even if slugged we can both crawl out before the time expires.
In which rank do you play ? Not judging, not saying you are bad, neither you are good, it's a game after all and first goal is to have fun. I'm just curious as a child who see first time candies ^..^ Lol ive seen these monstrosities only on high ranks or when i started to play killer and i was paired vs red ranks. I did hooks but i was sweating like a "pig" and sbaam, ds punishment at the exit ^..^ (Interesting time looking back in time).

The situation you described sounds like how DS is supposed to work, nothing wrong with that and the killer should have no reason to complain. But like I posted a while back when I hooked several survivors just before the last gen got done and got striked 3 times at the exit gate, when by definition I can't be tunnelling three people. That's more what I mean by ridiculous.
I understand the feeling but if you took 3 ds at the exit it means you did 3 hook immediately before that. Nice goal but it means too that you didnt a lot of hooks in game ? I dont want to do the teacher, and i'm not doing that (it's a game and im using it to relax before and after the work), but my statement sounds like correct. That said there can be funny situations like that but don't say it's the standard, it's not.

Interestingly the pro-DS threads usually say either the same as you or that it's not an anti-tunnelling perk so it doesn't matter if it hits killers that aren't tunnelling.
I'm not completely anti-DS btw, it just can be a bit ridiculous in some situations.
Yes, there are some ridicolous situations. I was playing survivor. I take the hook, a mate unhook me, the killer tunnel me, i fall to the ground close a mate on the hook, the killer take DS, i unhook the mate, i escape safely.
This is clearly a situation, i dont call it abuse, with PROS and CONS. if you abuse, like i did, you are after that in an unhealty situation. Your risk, you have the choice in game and i've choosed to take risks. If saving failed, i got second hook and probably i was finishing the match after that.
-
@NursesBootie said:
So getting DSed after chasing and hooking two other survivors is fine?
That has nothing to do with anti-tunnel, it's comparable to PGTW, but ten times stronger.
It's math. And your math is wrong (personal opinion)
Many times i did the first hook at the start of the match in the same amount of sec of Otzdarva (27sec including chase time, lucky situations).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BO-3W4hj4vcAnd another one after about 20sec, probably more.
I dont know how you can do 2 hooks in 1min and to be ready for the third in 60sec (chase time + hook time for 3 people = 60 sec ?) .
Are you using some cheat engines ?
Sometimes you can put down 3 people almost instantly but it's not the standard and it doesnt happend very often unless it is a match in higher ranks.
Otherwise you are not telling the truth and you are just mad about DS because you did a super try hard harcore tunneling ^..^ .......
-
@AshleyWB said:
I didn't bother reading most of what everyone here has said. I have read the title and I can say with full confidence that if you think DS is a reason why bad killers are bad then you're entirely wrong.
The killer has to be successful in downing you, hooking you and downing you yet again. DS is not a measure of how little skill the killer has but that it's enabling survivors like you get away by using less or even zero skill at all.
Nope. I'm not telling that. I never said that. I'm just saying that most of the people blaming DS and asking to remove DS are just Bad Killers. If you encounter DS it's because you are just a hardcore tunneler or you are unable to count 60 seconds, your choice.

I add some personal "experience" in game. My first 40h were traumatic as Killer. I got stunned so hard from DS that i felt like in a movie of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill.
https://youtu.be/AMPQJ3ccMBwLater i learned at my experience that was for DS just because i was tunneling hard like no tomorrow (everyone does that first time playing Killer, bad gameplay). It is therefore useless that some Killers keep saying that DS is OP. DS work, probably it's a perk not initially thought for those situations, but it works well vs a "tryhard tunneler" and i think most of the players angry about this perks are just HardCore tunnelers.

You're right, but when there are specific perks that halt hooking, that ease tunneling and ease camping then you know there are hidden rules as well. These perks were made to give both sides a chance to continue their objective and not dull the game down and make it so linear.
Corrupt Intervention, NOED, BT, DS etc.
You are talking about hidden rules, i'm talking about math ^..^ I'm probably too old for this game but i try to optimize so much in the work (i work as sysadmin) that too many times i do that in game. If i think someone has ds i slug and i move to the next surv on the list. It is simple, i earn time (if i slug someone has to stop doing gen), probably 1 hook and the next time i have that player on the ground he will be mine 100%.

I don’t see a problem in waiting in that scenario but would disagree that DS needs to be changed if that’s your goal. I’d probably eat the DS in that scenario because it also removes a health state from Surv A and down them again if they unhook in that stun time. That’s a lot of punishment imo and not unfair towards either side.
I’d actually consider that a mistake for Survivor A.
This is what i've done several times playing Surv. Stun, unhook with BT. Sometimes i have escaped the danger zone, other times i got caught and i took the second hook. It's my fault and my mystake.
-
@Xzan said:
The following scenario happened to me some time ago:
I hook Survivor A. I travel to the other side of the map, have a chase with Survivor B.
C & D are minding their business and one of them unhooks Survivor A, just before he enters the next hook stage. He gets healed up. During that time I down Survivor B and hook him.
Survivor A, runs straight for the unhook and jumps into a locker the moment I see him, next to the hooked one. If I grab him, I get ds'ed and he gets a free unhook. If I wait, I'll get insulted for being a camper.
I waited because it's free pressure. Feel free to explain why am I tunneling in this scenario. ("Just look for another one" is not a valid argument if he is coming straight at me)
If you can't find a reason. Congrats, now you may begin to realize why DS has abuse potential. And that's what needs to be fixed. The perk as itself is fine, because it can be countered by slugging.
You are a reasonable person, i see that immediately, but in my opinion you are generalizing (yes, something like this happened to me too) about a (very) unlucky situation.

Yes, you are better. Super +1. If someone has DS and you dont want the "stun" there is an ancient technique called... Slugging. And i think you know it too ^..^ You leave the surv on the ground for 1min and in the meantime you go ahead for the next one. Probably DS will be gone in the meantime, the surv too but you can have another hook in the meantime and survivors have been slowed down (a surv must to stop gen to raise the one on the ground ) . I wonder, why, how many people dont understand that......

I think DS is fine where it is. It does suck when you get hit with it during EGC and you played fun and fair.
I’m a rank 1 killer and I rarely get hit with DS so I’ve never had many issues with it. I don’t really tunneling unless I have a valid reason too.
Most killer that complain about DS are these types of people. - I want at fun and fairness
ALSO THESE PEOPLE
When there’s an obsession- Most Killers: 4 man SWF, they all got DS, I must slug to avoid DS.
When there’s no obsession- Most Killer: Oh Boy, nobody have DS I’m free to tunnel :)
I had several games when there was no obsession and the killer just tunnels everyone to death. At the end they said “maybe you should ran DS.”
I don’t get it.
Bad killers are the one that create the survivor “Meta”
+1 for your statement. And a meme ... never hurts for tryhard bad killers

I'm on xbox one and it's been happening since the recent mid-season patch, which makes me suspect it's a bug in the game that's reversing the ranked matchmaking but I'm not sure, that's why I was wondering if others are having the issue. Hopes this clears things up a lil <3
I can add more information to the discussion. I have done an ALT Account, PC, just to test a few killers with basic perks (no, not trolling, not "smurfing" vs people with 20h, it's silly). I tried today many and many surv matches (purple rank) and im paired more than ever with ranks 18-20. When i use Killer, rank 12, i have usually correct ranks vs, sometimes even vs 18-17.

Yes, the last update is killer friendly, but it doesn't change too much, since the good survivors doesn't really care about the strong windows. Also because these windows had a less safe distance, it doesn't mean that they're bad. You can still use them as the survivor to get more distance. I didn't say survivor is easier than killers. It's definitely more chilling, but for the solo survivor it's the real nightmare, because you have no control at what your mates are doing and when it goes up to you to being chased, you can be pretty much screwed, because you can to the pallet that was already destroyed in earlier chases. But for SWF? It's definitely ez, they can communicate with each other and say what pallet was destroyed and which was not and can say to you what they're currently doing.
Yes, communicating helps a lot in game but it's not everything. A killer, i assume you know that well, has every perk in the world to make survivors life a nightmare (no im not speaking about freddy) and to slowdown, a bit, the game. These are the preconditions and it's your job to use your tools at the best. I use their weaknesses, errors in game and i have most of the times a 3 kill. And i'm not a twitch superstar, neither a youtuber. I had same problems vs survivors and i just started using a different killer (Freddy, Spirit, Nurse and Wraith).
I'm not teaching you anything just saying that probably you are concentrating yourself too much in a killer which is not suitable for you, for your gamestyle, and probably you are using a bad combo of perks and addons.

I play both sides from about 3 years frequently. I don't wanna play SWF. It's too ez and boring for me. I play only solo. And don't worry I know a lot of tricks as the killer and survivor.
Thanks for reply but your statement contradicts initial statement ""Honestly this update changed nothing. Devs must finally admit that there is no problem with gen effifency, but with overly with gens and how easily they can be done without any effort by a good SWF". I would say rework finally the objectives. The game will never be balanced if you guys not gonna look at the survivors objectives overly."
- If you really knew a lot of tricks as killer you would understand that to play Killer is funny.
- If you played enough hours you would understand that last update is Killer friendly...
- If you were a good "killer" you would understand that last update has removed many safe zones to reduce chase time.
if you still dont understand those points, you insist on saying that surv have ez life and this game is not balanced, you have ham in front of your eyes...... game is more balanced than ever right now. and if you are not sure about that... probably you need to change your strat (probably it's time if you are playing from 3y) in game.

Rant from victims (the actual killers in the game) of toxic swf
Its easy to know theres a shortage of killers based on que times. 15 mins que for survs (if lucky) and almost instant match for killers. Recently its even 30 mins for survs. Last night ive had the last straw being bulllied and from now on Ill get into a trial with these toxic teams and try to franklin your purple flashlight and pink key before instantly dc'ing.
I play both sides (green-purple) and realy dont understand the level of toxicity in this community (PS4) at higher ranks. Im a relatively new player but Im learning quite fast as I take the time and effort to improve by learning optimal loops/routes/building/pressure for both sides.
Alas what is the point in improving when skill and jukes are irrelevant against these toxic pricks? I'll give 3 matches back to back that I had last night as examples. Mind you I was just playing bubba (rank 11) with only BBQ and Iron Grasp as some good perks (+Whispers+Sloppy) just to have an enjoyable game while stacking my BP (bbq). Matchmaking is an absolute joke (although it could be from the lack of killers - cause its too stressful to play). All 3 matches all the survs were running the usual sweaty perks btw BT,DS,Adrenalin,Self Care,Dead Hard,Sprint Burst. Only twice was a different perk used empathy and head-on to mug me off later.
1st match Haddonfield SWF prestige 2/3 (3 of them Level 1 and a Level 4). Downed the first one after 3 safe pallet loops and 2 others instantly appear one trying to sabo the nearest hook the other creeping for the heal (under a pallet by the way). Ok fine got away with all of them working together but managed to down the sabo guy quickly and here they come again with 2 flashlights this time. 2 gave up cause I know how to pickup safely and avoid the beam as soon as I hook I see 2 already gen rushing with my bbq. Loose-loose situation if I abandon hook free rescue and heal, if I camp gen rush to next gen. The same ######### happens for the next guy hooked and tadaa all gens are done. They tried the double flashlight again but this kill's mine buddy.
2nd match Badham again 3 red 1 purple rank, Im still using (now) level 12 bubba btw, four big ol' toolbox for the rush. I figure ok havent met u guys Ill play nicely if you dont give me a reason to be an ar****le. A bit easier for the hunt cause no annoying flashlight rushers I get four hooks for my bbq stack and didnt camp once, all the while getting tbag and pointed at for every pallet each of them used. Ofcourse no stopping the gen-rush no kill this time 2 injured at final gen as I approach and both had adrenalin yeay! Was tbaged again for good at the gates btw for what exactly I had no idea, was playing classy all game no camping/tunelling/sluggng just wanted my bbq points.
3rd match (coldwind offering) met with 1st team again this time 4 flashlights and the add-on that protects them form loosing item if sacrificed in trial. How I'm mismatched on level again is a mystery (not realy). Fine Ill tunnel and camp if thats what u want. Oops sorry, safe pallets in between the building, jungle gym and killer shack wont let you do that. I dont spend ages getting looped by the way, hooked 2 and got rid of 2 safe pallets while eating 2 DS (one after I hooked another guy - how bs is that?). Even managed to mind-game the killer shack and get a hit in 1 loop, but robbed of the downing hit by head on from another t**t who was standing by before the chase even went there. If this isnt bullying/toxic I dunno what is. Theyve completed 4 gens waiting to tap the last gen by then and are in full bully mode. Managed to hook a feng min but hey thats not the hard part. Steve went for the save and the moment I chainsaw both of them, another pops the last gen and yeay adrenalin save their a** again. That is some steph-curry buzzer beater bs timing and coordination if there ever was one, If anyone needs another proof that swf breaks the game. Still managed to tunnel and slug her again closer to the gate. Now this is the most frustrating thing Ive ever encountered in a game for years. Flashlight fiesta as she crawled to the gate but was able to trick them into a safe pickup, they tried body blocking as I look up while walking to avoid flashlight. I swear the hook wasnt sabo'd but I couldnt hook her. Looked down to see if anyone was hook blocking but no one was there. Alright Ill put her down if thats the only thing I could do. Cant put her down either! Freaking hell I dunno what kinda glitch/hack I was a victim of but it was soo stressful. She wiggled of and escaped while a Zarina that I didnt chase the whole game was spamming flashlight at the gate. So your buddy very luckily escaped and you were there to taunt me for her cause she couldnt do it herself when I didnt come up or have any chase against you? Was she just in the game to gen rush and be toxic? Tell me at what point in the game did I have 'fun'?
These players are absolutely ruining the game, for killers who very reluctantly play knowing the odds against them who in turn will play a very boring build thats no fun for other survivors. I will regularly hunt just the 3 swf if they are paired with a solo since they will annoy me the most by hookswarm, tbag and clicking. These toxic swf players are such scumbags and have such a mob mentality. In fact Ive even played with them previously (they invited me). I do 2 gens and got in a chase, but the moment two of them got hooked they all Dc'd and leave me to be hunted (I was heading for the save), tell me that isnt scummy. Another time I joined a 3swf lobby against nurse got spotted immediately and was tunneled for 5 mins straight while they didnt do a single gen. The moment I got downed they all went for the flashlight save and nurse Dc'd. So they made the killer quit and also made my effort and plays pointless.
I will play happily knowing Im up against other genuine players. Heck I carry the last surv every game and find the hatch for them cause I know Ive won and theres no harm in being nice to other players. From now on Ill ruin these toxic players' experience in the game and make that a priority if they come up. Such scummy players do not deserve people's time and other survs waiting in the lobby who actually want to play. As said earlier, Ill get in a match with you and Dc if I recognize your team from a previous trial. Best of luck waiting for another 30 mins in lobby while I hunt survs who actually wanna play fairly.
Sorry for the long rant but there isnt a tbag button or vault spam for killers in the game so had to let it out somehow.
You are not a victim. You are a good man (or girl, or man, or lady, or ecc.. ecc..) without Correct Perks and without a lot of experience. Fact.
In this game you need:
- a lot of hours (a lot more than standard if you plan to play killer side)
- lot of perks
- to play like surv/killer to understand better both sides and to apply your best strategies in game
- to use perk to slowdown (pop, ruin, corrupt invervention, tatanofobia, dying light, eccc...)
- to master the killer you are using (you need several hours)
- to stay calm if you play killer. surv will try to distract you in the game as much as possibile (to spam with flashlight in game, trying to catch your attention to go to another side of the map, ecc....), it's part of the game.
You fail in one or more points. Just relax, play in your free time as much as possible and you will have better performances 100%.

Really now?
I had a match yesterday on mothers dwelling as a billy and it went like this.
Walk to middle building, walk up the stairs, chainsaw dance with the guy on the gen, he dropped down, i dropped down, i chainsawed. I walk to the hook and place him on the hook and..... 3 gens pop
I guess the map size is my fault tho right?
I AM SURE you fit in one of those points:
- You dont have many hours in game = They fool you ez, you start a never ending chase and someone does, in the meantime, gensss. (You solve this problem with hours and playing both sides, surv and killer)
- You dont have many perks = 99% of the problems of people that just start to play (if you dont have basic perks as Killer, life is hard)
- You have perks but you are not using the best perks according your gamestyle (it happens)
- You are not using properly the killer = You dont have many hours in game ....
- You are not using basic perks like pop, ruin, corrupt intervention, tatanofia or dying light = to fight a gen rush and to slowdown the game

Yep. There are nice folks around! I count my husband and myself as two, at the very least, and I have a couple of friends who play PS4. I highly doubt they're toxic. Although, then you have to get into what people consider to be toxic. Definitions vary from narrow to broad scope.
+1
I call a toxic attitude when
- someone, after match, start to insult hard. It doesnt happend often but when it happens, that's what i call a toxic attitude.
- some survivors un-hook people close to you (example, i was in a chase close to the man on hook) without borrow time just for farming (it doesnt happend a lot in red rank, purple, it's rare but it happens)
- you are vs 4 random and one of them let himself die on first hook (it's disrespectful for the other 3 players in game)
- you are playing as surv with 3 random and 2 of them run to the killer to get rekt and to finish their match instantly (it's rare, very rare but it happens)
let's say my definition of toxic is very close to griefing sometimes

I dont want to speak badly about anyone, not about you, this is a forum and i'm not superior to anyone but my opinion is that most % of people with those statement "The game is still unfun for the killers" have seriously problems with perks (not using correct ones, not so many perks choice, etc....), they are not using properly the killer or they dont have many hours in game ....
I understand , to play Killer can be frustrating first 10,20,30 hours but when you have a huge amount of perks (and hours) it starts to become a funny, challenging and interesting game experience.
Some notes:
- Developers did last updates thinking to people like you. I am sure you dont have so many hours in game. If you still have problems listen my advice, try to unlock as many killer perks as possible.
- Play as much as possible not only Killer, try to play Surv/Killer so you understand as many tricks as possible.
- Try to play surv with some friends, possible with more hours than you so you can improve faster your gameplay.
Have fun !

Oh and as for the toxic community... It is pretty bad at times, yes, but I'm use to online games. People are often jerks. It's how you react that matters.
It's not. Don't think everyone playing this game is toxic.
- Just finished a match VS Surv. I didnt see insults or whatsoever. Sometimes it happens, people can be silly 100% but it's not happening after every match.
- Today i had only a match vs some Toxic Surv (SWF). I started without a MORI knowing one in lobby had a key. Match with 2 Kills, the other 2 surv were with 2 hooks everyone and they escaped (hatch). At the end of the match they said EZ ^..^ (o my god those nutella boys). But i dont call it a toxic attitude, just a kid attitude in my opinion (if i had brought a beautiful red mori match was 10 times faster, was ez 4 kills but it's not my goal when i play this game, i like chases and to hunt when i play Killer)
