I don't get why one is uncommon and the other common. Would think they should be the same.
-
I don't mind NOED, just take 14 seconds to cleanse a totem instead of ignoring it and you should be good. I wish they showed how many totems people did in the end screen so if NOED activates you can see who tried to prevent it and who didn't. π

I miss the DC penalties. Was watching a killer stream last night and every round 2 people would DC.

One reason why Springtrap wouldn't work in DBD: Children.
This. At bookstores fnaf books are in the kids section. On Barnes and Noble and Amazon it's recommended for 12 year olds, but reviews say kids as young as 8 are enjoying it because it's not scary. DBD is supposed to be for mature players, adding fnaf would increase the kid player base - which would bring in complaints from the parents groups that don't fully look into a game but buy it if it has a kid thing in it, they like to make complaints when they should've followed ratings. I'm not sure DBD really want to increase child fan base and deal with that.

I wish some of those 4 gateau teAms would join me. I've literally seen less than 10 cakes since they fixed them. Not counting mine. Why are people not using them? What are they waiting for?
I'm not using mine until DC penalties come back. It's a waste when people DC at start of match.
-
It depends on how the match as a whole went. I've gotten a quick 4k without trying but could tell the survivors had been trying, they were just making dumb decisions. Didn't really feel like I won. Most times though I'm happy with atleast 1k, I'm only disappointed if an annoying survivor escapes. If I kill that one annoying survivor I'm happy. π
As survivor it depends on my team. If I have a crap team I just care if I escape. If I have a good team where we all work together I'm happy if they escape even if it means I died.

"Unless you have some way to prove someone isn't just signing it with multiple accounts/bots there's no way to know if it's someone signing once or a kid that has time on their hands to create a bunch of email accounts and keep signing the petition to pad the numbers."
This is what I was referring to. It's unfair to automatically assume that a significant chunk of these are just fake votes, especially when the petition's ideas are actively supported outside the petition (on places like the FNaF and DbD reddit pages, as well as YouTube). I can see a few fake votes, sure, but not enough to significantly change the results.
These online petitions are just a way to say "Hey, people do/ don't want this", not necessarily a "call to action for BHVR". There's not much the fans can do other than just support the idea anyways, hence why these petitions get created in the first place.
My first line of that statement is "I would say this about any online petition" and the rest was the reason why I said that first line, again speaking in general terms about online petitions. Whether it's fair or not doesn't matter. When previous online petitions have been padded with alt accounts and bots it puts doubt in other online petitions having legitimate numbers.
If it is just a "hey people would like this" and you're confident the count isn't alt accounts and bots then there's no reason to get upset when someone says they think numbers are padded and don't think the petition is going to be taken seriously. The numbers and people taking it seriously only matter if this is supposed to be a "call to action."

Why are you trying to ask him to prove the signatures are real, when you can't prove they're fake either? Mere suspicion isn't enough. Even if 25% of the signatures were fake (which is a huge over-exaggeration), that's STILL over 16,000 people.
I wasn't asking him to prove they're real or fake, no where did I even request that. My explanation was speaking in general terms as to why online petitions as a whole are not taken seriously.

I think make their passive unlock when they equip their 3 teachable perks. That way you you have to choose between passive or mix/match meta perks.

Just because youre glowing doesnt mean you havent already unlocked the crown.
I wish survivours wouldnt glow unless they had previoisly unlocked the crown. Glow because they are greedy (lol) and get called out to the killer. But not glow if you havent unlocked the crown. It would make it funner for survivours. Thats for sure.
Would licensed characters not glow because they have no crown to unlock or glow because they're greedy taking crown when they know they can't unlock it?

How many movies do you think the Haloween franchise sold in 2016 before he got released on dbd? Spoiler not a lot
Forgotten might have been a poor choice of words but he definitivly wasen't on anyone's mind at the time. Hell dbd could very well be the sole reason movies about him are being made again
Halloween franchise is more than just movies, it's why they don't need to be constantly making movies to earn a profit. They have costume, t-shirts, toys, statues, etc. being released and sold all the time. There's also royalties from streaming/TV so needing to sell copies of the movie isn't a good indicator. Also the pretty consistent references in other tv/movies goes against your "not on people's minds" statement.
DBD is not the reason movies were being made again. Studio Rob Zombie worked with losing the rights and going to another is why movies were made again. It happens pretty often with large well known franchises in Hollywood - it's how we get so many remakes and reboots.
-
Depending on how long they were struggling the timer could also have been up but not look like it on your screen. When I've played with my brother and he's in the struggle phase if someone was going for him then starts getting chased I'll leave my gen to get him. He'll be sacrificed just before I get to him but on my screen it shows I had time. When I ask him why'd he let go he'll say he didn't, the time was up.

Also, FNaF is a pretty big fandom. They would be attracted to the idea of more content... and playing as the main antagonist of the series for once would be an incredible opportunity for them.
As someone who signed the petition legitimately, it is insulting to just have our efforts discredited as bots. That insult has been thrown all over the place as of late, and it is a very lazy insult at that.
It's not an insult, I'd say it about any online petition because that is what happens with most and why they are not taken seriously. Unless you have some way to prove someone isn't just signing it with multiple accounts/bots there's no way to know if it's someone signing once or a kid that has time on their hands to create a bunch of email accounts and keep signing the petition to pad the numbers.

The difference between Fnaf and the other horror movie icons is that Fnaf is still making revenue, while the horror icons weren't at the time. When Myers was released there were no movies being made with him anymore. He was tbh forgotten and then the publicity of bringing him to a popular game is a good thing. And it may be coincidence but 2 years later we had another Haloween movie.
Fnaf isn't that desperate. Almost everybody knows Fnaf so they don't need the publicity that putting him in the game would get. I wouldn't mind Springtrap into DbD but that isn't up to the devs alone. So even if you convince them it still is possible that it won't happen
Myers being forgotten has to be one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever heard. π

People have been dcing a whole lot more when they realize they're losing. At least on PS4 in my region (Eastern U.S.)
Same, I'm on PS4 in Eastern US and it was back to back matches. I stopped playing after I dropped rank from it happening so many times in a row. π
-
When being camped person on hook receives % gen pairs and distraction points for time on hook.
Safety pip for all remaining players if player DC.
-
Same. I keep having multiple people DC at beginning of match because it's a killer or map they don't like. I stopped playing until it comes back because it is pretty unplayable right now.
-
If they do it before we load in I don't care.
-
During Q&A the devs said they know the dailies were killer centric and were going to look into changing that. Didn't say how long that would take though. I get mostly killer dailies when I play both sides. It's awesome completing a killer daily only to have the exact same one pop back up.

Is the petition legit or are there a bunch of bots and alt accounts making the numbers go up? I might be wrong but it seems unbelievable to me that THAT many people want a FnAF chapter π§
Most likely bots and alt accounts. It's why petitions like this aren't taken seriously.
-
I'm having nonstop people DC at start of match since the penalty was shut off. It's ridiculous. They need to bring it back, or at the very least give those that don't DC an automatic safety pip.

I think the reason why they made it so the pants can't be split is because the hoodie drapes over them. It prevents the hoodie from being able to clip with other pants.
Zarina has a top that drapes over her pants. I wear it with my p3 pants and don't experience clipping.

I rarely see Billy complained about. I have seen alot of "don't bother with Bubba, Billy is better chainsaw killer." It could be to get him and Bubba closer to the same level so more people will buy a licensed character instead of sticking with free original character.

Not everything that works in real life will work in a video game. Somethings have to be changed and bent in order to fit the game. Such as survivors not snapping their legs in half after falling from the tops of buildings, the overweight characters like clown being able to catch up with athlete Meg, no one suffering from the cold snow on ormond, etc. Itβs a game not a mechanic simulator.
This. I was just thinking about how a backrub is able to heal a wound from a giant meat hook through the chest. π

P3 Blendette it's that easy to annoy a killer.
A killer being annoyed they can't find someone is completely different from a survivor taunting the killer losing with a victory dance.

Death hook? I dont remember ever going against that like holy crap man you are lucky
I noticed it during this rift more killers start doing death hook with ebonies. During beginning of the event they were all tunnel off first hook but yesterday seemed like maybe they are going back to doing death hook...atleast I hope they are. π

That may be something to do with PS4, as I play Xbox. Unless I forgot to fill something in I haven't experienced an ebony in over 50 games.
I can't imagine going that long without facing an ebony. Maybe for some reason killers don't get as many in xbox? π

And how often do killers use moris? I haven't faced an ebony since prior to the event (Have faced an ivory)
I had 3 today. Two of the killers used them on death hook, one would tunnel off first hook. Red rank on ps4, run into them daily, always appreciate the killers that use them on death hook.

Like this, adding skill checks for escape could also mesh well with Trapper's Unnerving Presence perk.

I want to blame Konami but theres a new Nea skin that's going to be like that and as far as I know it's not related to Konami, I could be wrong though. It sounded like they were going to do more sets to prevent clipping issues that happen when people mix and match.

I have it at the default. Think at this point it's too late for me to change it, I'm too used to how it plays.

I've experienced same thing multiple times.

1anioh advice is awesome. Only thing I'd add is if you can do a KYF with someone for practice. If not that can try to farm with survivors for practice, would need to let them escape but just so you can get hang of it without feeling rushed.

You truly have brought nothinh of value to this discussion telling me to "go play other games" and with your train of thought isn't skins also unnecessary? Along with survivors too considering they have no abilities they're just a character model.
It's nothing of value to you because you don't agree and want to do little dances (like "wraith nae naeing") to celebrate wins not caring that it will only increase animosity that currently exists and really do not fit in DBD. "Go play other games" is because you seem to really want to just use emotes and not care if they actually belong in a game.
Skins/survivors actual impact gameplay. They can be used to make you harder to find (good for stealth) or have you stand out to attract the killer (good for those that do well in chases to distract a killer). Having different skins also allows survivors to be able to tell eachother apart when solo, makes it easier to tell who has already been hooked or not. You also can't taunt a killer with a skin like you would an emote.

Well I brought it up cause it seems as if you're trying to dismiss me as someone new to the game who's a child. A good game to reference for salt is for honor a game filled with more bs than dead by daylight. It excicuted emotes perfectly as something to celebrate winning. If dead by daylight did something of the like then it would be fun especially if they were something lore wise; like have spirit fall into pieces or trapper go tinker with his trap.
No, I'm dismissing adding an unnecessary mechanic to the game that will not help the animosity that's already here. People already get upset with the current "celebrations" the other side does when they win, adding emotes will not help that. Instead of killers complaining about survivors teabagging at exits instead of just leaving they'll complain about whatever dumb emote they're doing. Emotes don't belong in DBD. You have "many other games" you can play to use emotes when you win.

I'm rank 7 with killer right now and am almost devotion 2 and just got back into this game this week. I enjoy this game and you constantly call them dances when thats not even the point. They are emotes which could be unique to just killers like a reference to their lore. Along with survivors too so they could flesh things out.
That's nice you're a rank 7 killer and almost devotion 2. Doesn't change that emotes are unnecessary and will just be used to be toxic. Community has enough animosity, it doesn't need emotes used for taunting when winning to add to it.
-
Most matches I go into there's someone running DS. Somehow they don't start as the obsession but I do while running no obsession perks. It's annoying. It's nice to have a no obsession match so I can take a break from being the obsession. π

You truly don't understand the point of emotes in a game. I was hoping that maybe you'd see but you genuinely are taking in the negative aspects of the idea. Think more about a subject next time before dismissing it but whatever.
You don't understand not all games should have dances. I was hoping you'd see but you genuinely ignore what kind of game DBD is. Think more about how unnecessary emotes would impact an already fairly toxic community before refusing to accept they don't belong but whatever.
-
Because it's fun to play both sides. Seeing survivors make mistakes I know I make all the time is amusing. Easy BP - bad match as killer will always give me more BP than bad match as survivor. Also more freedom to do weird stuff like be Mikey and kill people that enter the Myers house. Or play as Ghostface and mark people but not go after them and watch them run off from whatever they were doing. π

Many games have emotes, your clingyness to fortnite about it is unbecoming. Take time to understand the fun of the idea before ridiculing it.
Take time to understand dances don't belong in DBD, it's not that kind of game. Play one of the "many other games" that has emotes so you can dance in those.

I know what fortnite is but the point of an emote is to be used during a victory. To have some fun instead of exit gate t bagging and smacking someone on hook.
Again, no. It's just going to increase the animosity in the community. If you want emotes play fortnite.

I dont truly understand you're anology of DBD with emotes to fortnite. Its not a strong argument considering the only thing connecting them would be emotes. This game is also full of salt and stuff like that so emotes wouldn't hurt at all.
Fortnite is a game that emotes are more popular than the actual gameplay. I don't want DBD to turn into a game more focused on emotes than the game. Yes this game already has salt, there's no reason to encourage it with emotes. If survivor/killer has time to be using emotes to taunt the other side the Devs should find ways to increase the difficulty so that they do not have time to use them.
-
No, don't turn DBD into another fortnite. Killers already get pissed at survivors for teabagging and survivors get pissed at killers for hitting them while hooked. Don't need to add extra unnecessary things to the game to use to taunt.
-
I get the idea of it trying to trick survivors into thinking it's the Nancy perk Better Together to try and draw them closer but that perk is so rarely run and it doesn't take long even solo to know no one is running it. If they wanted to trick people they should've made the aura white like when Cheryl's Repressed Aliance is used - that one would be easier to fool survivors that aren't swf. Do agree they should just remove the aura though because not only do you know to be more aware that the killer has no terror radius but you just need to keep an eye on the aura to know when it finally runs out. Survivors manage just fine when killers run Insidious and that doesn't give any notifications it's been activated.
-
I think killer 2k with atleast silver emblem in each category, survivor escape with atleast silver in each category. That way a survivor doesn't just hide until hatch is open and killer doesn't just ebony mori everyone off first hook.
-
Turn off your messages, atleast while you're playing dbd, it makes the game way more enjoyable.
-
Survivor: Kate/Zarina - would play Ash more but killers always tunnel him for some reason.
Killer: Trapper/Legion if going for kills, Ghostface if I'm just messing around/farming for easy BP.
-
NOED doesn't bother me, teammates not taking 14 seconds to cleanse totems bothers me. I play mostly solo, if I'm not spending the match being chased/hooked can usually clear all 5 totems fairly quick because there's only a handful of spawn locations. I have an entire match to prevent it, totems don't take long to cleanse. If I can't take few seconds to cleanse a totem then I'm probably not going to survive the match anyway. Usually I get hit with it when I'm swf because my teammates will see a totem, say they saw it, but not cleanse it. π€¦ββοΈ
