with dedicated servers there should be a way for the devs to see the DATA. And when reports are submitted the data should be shunted (saved) and available for the devs to review later. other games have the ability to look at what is going on via the data and with point to point I can understand that there is no data to look at but with dedicated servers there is a chance to save the match data.

This. On ps4 if you accidentally hit the wrong button you're saving screenshot instead of video and then the video is gone for good.

  • Because Chucky could be fun killer. Charles Lee Ray escaped into a Chucky doll thanks to black magic so could incorporate that into his powers as a stealth killer.

  • Demo.

  • I had a rank 2 (well after DC was rank 2) Huntress with iri head DC at loop in Dead Dawg desert before first gen was done because she missed me with first hatchet and couldn't line up shot at loop with second. As she was breaking pallet at loop I ran off and that was when she decided to DC. Red ranks can be pretty ridiculous when it comes to not getting their way in first minute of a match.

  • EGC was created to give the game an ending because there were too many times there were hatch stand offs or survivors holding game hostage by not leaving after gates were opened. The killer is able to open the door to get the game to end rather than wait for survivors to open/leave. It's not supposed to be a killers helper to get kills, it's just to get the game to end.

  • Think those that cleansed totems should be able to open exit gate/escape, those that haven't are exposed and Bloodwarden type blocking of exit gate until they destroy the totem. That would be so frustrating watching teammates escape while you have to find and cleanse a totem you ignored all game. 😂

  • Fps drops from one of the multiple triggers on console has killed me so many times during struggle. Skill checks wouldn't help, same fps drops cause skill checks to be missed - it's one thing to miss a skill check repairing a gen or healing, you can keep going, but missing it on hook would just end the game early. If they could put a "press x to stop struggle" that would be good. Stop the deaths during struggle that could be avoided from fps drops due to lack of optimization.

  • They should put a skill check on Trappers traps similar to snap out or reverse bear traps.

The indoor maps and new maos are terrible for hiding his traps. As Trapper I actually love Haddonfield because it's so easy to catch survivors in traps there - there's plenty of area to place them without having them stick out to survivors. Limiting where he can put his traps is so frustrating.

Since he has to go around collecting traps they need the traps placed closer to center of the map, not way out in the corners of a dead zones. Increasing how many he starts with/carries is also needed.

Getting stuck in traps when already injured should definitely requiring needing to mend.

I’m seeing a trend of killers smartening up to Iron Maidens versatility.

I saw it increase after the Doctor was reworked and Doctors realized survivors were countering their power by hiding in lockers. Then the multiple locker perks like head on and inner strength definitely increased its use too.

  • @AhoyWolf said:

Let's be honest, who brings Iron Maiden other than Huntress' and people who try to do Adept Legion achievement?

Doctors to counter people hiding when they go to do a shock, killers running BBQ, killers that run Nurses and got sick of Inner Strength countering it. I see it about the same as TheClownIsKing - once or twice every 10 games.

  • I can understand not putting auric cells but they should fill the blank spaces with at least Bloodpoints and Iridescent Shards. All the empty spaces make the rift look like crap.

  • I really wish that when these totem bugs happen they'd push through a hot fix rather than wait for chapter or mid-chapter patch. It's happened on multiple maps before this and each time takes them way too long to fix.

  • They should make Christine next killer.

  • This. Maps aren't that big, totems only have a handful of places they can spawn. Unless a map is new/reworked there is no reason to not know where totems are located. There's also perks/maps to help you learn totem placements.

I had 2 uncleansable totems on Coldwind in 1 match, 2 hay throwers/harvesters and both totems were stuck at a wheel - 1 was a Devour Hope. 😒

  • Ruin/undying isn't the problem, bad teammates are. If you're constantly doing everything like you say find an swf group to team up with, there's a section in the forums to find people to play with. You can find a squad that will split the work instead of relying on randoms.

  • @Marigoria said:

Has happened to me as well, that's why i never pick up green keys from chests anymore.

Same. I stopped taking green keys because if killers sees key in hand they will tunnel you out of the game even though if it was pink/purple a teammate could pick up the key after you die and one less gen needs to be completed to use it.

How do you know they aren't trying? They could be trying but don't get it off because of how inconsistent his reveal is. I don't think that there's a way to tell as Survivor if someone else is trying to reveal him. All you see is the flash when he is revealed.

This is is one of the most frustrating things on the hook. So many times he should 100% be revealed and it's not working at all.

  • Easiest answer is parents groups - they are why the rating system exists in the first place. The rating is pretty much a "this game contains these elements that parents find too extreme for anyone under 17". Giving a game an M rating means parents groups have a harder time getting the game banned or having it remove certain elements because they think whatever is in the game is too extreme for children. M means kids shouldn't be playing it and the vendor they bought it from should've only sold it to an adult. If parent/guardian thinks their kid is OK to play it that is their choice. Similar to how a movie theater will deny a kid from entering an R rated moved unless they are with a parent/guardian.

Parents groups usually get a better argument if the M rated game (or R rated movie) has elements that make it look like it is targeting kids - why there are bigger uproars when an M game or R rated movie that is more cartoony is released, or how Adult Swim is constantly being attacked because it's cartoons on cartoon network because originally the station was targeted towards kids.

Can argue all day whether or not something is/isn't OK for kids. There are plenty of parents groups find FNAF OK for kids but those who are older fans will argue it isn't OK for kids. There are plenty of parents groups that argue Harry Potter is not OK for kids. DBD there are many who think it is not OK for kids and M rating is correct and then there are ones who think it's fine for 8 year olds to play because they don't think it's that violent compared to other games that are not rated M.

  • It's like this on ps4 too.

  • I think when looking for a match it should just load into the game instead of the lobby.

  • Doctor or Freddy because they can do a build where the game is basically at a stand still where nothing is progressing and they could just sacrifice everyone and end it but instead they just drag it out way too long.

  • Optimization for ps4/xbox1/switch.

    Focus on game health.

    Firecrackers as regular bloodweb item.

The Rift and Bloodwebs be less grindy.

No more limited exclusive codes like they did for DwightCrow and Fruitcake.

    Add Chucky as new Killer.

    Bloodhunt weekends to be monthly.

  • They need to improve and maintain game health for the single mode they already have. When they have so many issues with one mode I can't imagine how bad it'd be with multiple modes.

  • I've died SO many times during struggle due to something triggering an FPS drop in the middle. Skill checks wouldn't help because FPS drops screw those up. Something like "hold x to stop struggling" would be amazing so I stop dying thanks to a gen being completed or NOED kicking in.

  • This is a terrible idea, it's so anti-consumer. The game doesn't need help staying strong financially, they have plenty of ways to earn income. The only people this idea would appeal to are top management at BHVR wanting to pad their pockets or people with plenty of disposable income (probably because their parents pay for everything).

They don't need more methods of earning money. They need better resource management of the income they already earn to go towards game health. They've added $15 cosmetics and premium rift, they've found ways to increase income yet they're pushing out unfinished products that are more bug ridden than before. Increasing methods of income has not helped DBD.

  • I don't mind farming for BP or if killer needs to do some of the more obnoxious rift challenges like hitting 2 people in 30 seconds with chainsaw when they suck with Billy while I do an obnoxious survivor challenge.

Knockout I understand, but bond? It's such a handy perk to use, esp as a solo Qr, if people use it to bodyblock or something (On purpose), then I've never seen it before and they should just be reported, instead of just removing a very good perk that people should use more in solo Qs.

Most players I see using Bond (I'm red rank and have seen this in all ranks) are not using it to be helpful, they use it to lead the killer to their teammates and screw them over - usually while a teammate is working on a gen/totem or healing another teammate. Rather than use to avoid teammates while in a chase Bond users head straight for them hoping the killer will go after the teammate instead. I have watched Bond players screw me and teammates over in solo q more than any other player.

  • Play how you want, use the perks that help you do well. Ignore the people that tell you to not use specific perks because they don't like them.

  • PC players have complained about hook suicides since before crossplay was active. Stop with the console v pc complaints when both sides complained equally about the same issues before crossplay was even a thing.

  • Happens to me and friends all the time on ps4. It's usually after something that triggers FPS drop in the game - exposed status goes into effect, gen pops, another survivor hooked/sacrificed (other survivors alive so it's not the auto-sacrifice from all survivors hooked), doctor uses blast/survivor in Tier 3 screams, someone hit nearby with sloppy, etc.

  • I lucked out and got the charm at the start from a smaller streamer. I'm glad they put out this code so everyone could get it. The forcing people to watch streamers for an exclusive item and race to put in a ridiculously long code that only a few could get at a time is just a terrible practice that I really hope they stop doing.

If they want to get people to watch streamers they should instead give the streamers time based codes for BP or Shards - something if people watch and get cool but if they miss out it's fine. Most streamers have a set schedule so just have the codes active for the time of their stream, or since it would just be BP or Shards have codes active for 24 hour period.

  • Killer - Knockout. It just encourages slug builds. Most killers I see using it slug survivors until they bleed out.

Survivor - Bond. Most players I see using this perk use it to screw over their teammates not help them.

That might be because of how bad mobile DBD can be. It’s even worse than PC/console. If you think current Haddonfield is bad, then try playing on it with EVERY window open. All of the extra points could be an attempt to keep players from leaving due to all the bugs.

Or it could be because the PC/console team is super stingy for some reason. Maybe it’s their precious bloodpoint economy or something.

Bloodhunts being so often was before they added Haddonfield. Thing is with mobile BP has nothing to do with perks/leveling up your characters like it does for pc/console. BP is just for items/addons/offerings. XP is what you need for perks and from what I can tell the bloodhunts are only for BP. We need BP more on pc/console than they do on mobile.

This is the kind of bodyblocking that Mandy means in terms of griefing. If some dude is literally just blocking you in a corner and not moving (as survivor or killer), then report them after the match ends. If they're doing it as killer they're going to lose extremely fast. If a survivor is body blocking a hook, that is an intended gameplay mechanic. They're impeding your progress to save their friend.

She said body blocking during EGC, which is 4 minutes, is allowed. It would not be considered griefing to the devs.

    Sometimes i don't get BHVR.

It would be sooo easy to do and they would make a huge part of their playerbase super happy with that.

If they did a monthly bloodhunt players would love it. Do it weekend between rifts even. I don't get why they are so stingy with BP for pc/console.

100k bloodpoints but only one so why was the advent calendar showing 4 days? Cause we can claim 1 reward within those 4 days?....

Honestly worst event I ever saw in a game

When I saw the pic on Twitter I thought it was awesome they were doing 4 days of 100k BP but then I saw it was claimable once and was like "ofcourse, why give out that much BP 4 days in a row to help with the grind?"

It would have been nice to get this kind of info earlier.A lot of people, including me,thought that it would just be a simple thing to do like disabling bloodlust, starting bloodhunt events etc.

But wouldn't you agree that giving us somekind of bloodhunt (double or 1.5 bp) would be a very easy change to make this feel more like an event?

Mobile gets a bloodhunt like every other week. Seems odd they have no issues doing blood hunts that often in first year but it's too difficult to do it for pc/console that's been out for 4 years.

  • @Mandy said:

Body Blocking used as griefing is not allowed and is punishable in game with a ban. The reason why your proposal doesn't work is because there are active forms of body blocking that are allowed - for example body blocking a killer preventing the killer from hooking a survivor, killer bodyblocking a survivor during EGC are just two examples.

And no, DbD is not built on spaghetti code, that's just a narrative that some people have used over the years and is completely untrue and there's also not that many people who work on cosmetics, the Art team is pretty small.

So it's OK to block someone in a corner for 4 minutes where they can do nothing? They can't get anymore BP and can't just move onto another match, they just sit there getting more frustrated that the devs allow that type of gameplay (and encourage it since there's no downside for killer doing that). It's things like that that encourage the toxicity in this game that players complain about. Wouldn't it be better to make it so players can't be held in corners for extended periods of time to 1. Create a better experience and 2. Lessen the amount of reports received due to something you could make avoidable by removing the collision after 15/20 seconds (that's more than enough time if someone is body blocking a hook). It's this type of game play that causes the complaints about DC penalties - BHVR allows scummy gameplay where people can't do anything to move on from the match rather than do something to fix it.

Only run into two as a Survivor. One was very obvious, basically a teleport cheat where the Killer would start up a lunge and no matter the distance would suddenly blink directly behind the Survivor.

The other was a Huntress who made it so her hatchets could be thrown through objects.

I had a Legion that first 3 gens played normal but when down to 2 gens and his ruin was destroyed he started hitting survivors through walls and outside of his terror radius. In Rancid Abbatoir I had hopped through window and was on opposite side of fencing near gen, he hit me from outside the window. After that by cow tree I could hear him just swiping randomly until I went down in cornfield - he was on opposite side of a wall by the cow tree. When I spectated after dying I saw my remaining teammates experience same questionable hits.

  • Nope, no perks/add ons equipped to help with stuns.

  • Also have had killers that don't get stunned by pallets. They make the stunned sound and I get the killer stun notification pop up on my screen but they're moving like nothing happened. It's been several different killers.

  • Speedy killers, the ones that are zooming around the map without any perks/add ons to increase speed.

  • If mnogo stops working there's these to try as well.

  • In last Q&A they said Freddy is the one that is at top of their stats for kill rate so he's being looked at because of that. They also had released some graphic in Q&A before that where he was leading both overall and in just red ranks with kills.

  • The rift is ridiculously grindy. Before they gave the free rift fragments this rift was about as grindy as the first rift that everyone complained was too grindy so they made rift 2 and 3 better only to go backwards on rift 4 and 5. According to their first year stats only something like 16% of players completed rifts. If 16% was too high a completion rate by end of tome 4 stats for them to increase the grind for tome 5 it really makes me wonder how low of a completion rate they want for the rifts.

  • Tenacity. So many survivors crawl instead of recover. Also the speed increase while crawling is awesome. My brother used to drive me nuts because he'd always crawl and would do it for so long before he would start to recover, since he started using this it has been soooo much better playing with him. It has also saved him a bunch when killers slug at end game.

  • I'd give Ash his chainsaw hand.

I'll get accused of it a bit and am always solo. It's usually because I can make decent plays using Kindred, which should actually be a giveaway that I'm not in a SWF. When I play killer, I don't accuse anyone of SWF, but I think I can tell a SWF from a regular group. The some of giveaways are:

    Immediate unhooking with BT saves

One player runs by a totem during a chase, totem gone 15 seconds later

If I'm running a perk like Mad Grit or Make Your Choice, I'll get it to work once, but never again

There is always someone working a gen, usually 2 or 3 gens pop during the first chase

All survivors go to one exit gate at the end and are there for the body blocks

Granted, all those can just be random luck too, but when you start combining them it's usually SWF.

Alot of that is just paying attention to the game. If it's a lit totem odds are more than 1 solo was looking for it, they saw you chase other survivor off so knew it was chance to cleanse it themself. If you instadowned someone after another survivor was saved then it gives away that you're running make your choice. Immediate BT saves happen to me ALL the time as solo player, actually drives me nuts because most killers just tunnel me off the hook when it happens. I always go to my own gen unless I have a coop challenge because I'd rather spread out to get more gens started. All at same exit gate also happens fairly often depending on how the killer has been playing that match. I always hold off running out if I'm healthy to help with body blocks if needed.
