What does that have to do with solo? 🤷🏼♂️🤔
It doesn't. I just only ever play solo
-
He's the dumbest looking killer, prancing around with that stupid look on his face. And that haircut...
-
I just had the no hud and skillcheck bug, here's proof - https://youtu.be/MgRcEZnet0g
-
I was going to report this. I have a vid:
-
Evidently 1,175,000 is the cap as I'm not getting any more than that now. Thanks all the same
-
That's weird because BP rewarded from trials are still accumulating
-
I would get Jeff for his perks but that's just me
-
It would be cool if they patched in a taunt the killer could do or something. Like a floss or whatever kids are into these days
-
They could've made this less confusing. I was on dbd hiatus when bill was released so I assumed it was a bug. The fact that they did this on purpose is even worse.
An intentional mistake as it were
-
You don't have to fail, it's straightforward.
It wasn't made clear to begin with. You wouldn't know unless you checked out bills teachables, then make the mistake of assuming you already have them like I did. Like I said. A patch note or a dev message in game making this clear would have saved me from wasting all my bloodpoints. Yes I'm pissed off, and I hate bill now so thanks for that devs
-
You're ignoring the fact that nobody warned us of this thereby preventing us from spending points trying to unlock those perks which would never show up because of the reasons you have outlined. How is that fair?
-
E.g. how would you feel if you spent hours and millions of points trying to unlock a perk that was once a universal perk, but oh, the devs turned it into a teachable without telling you. Too bad
-
"so nothing was wasted"
Not true - I wasted millions of bloodpoints unlocking every other perk for David trying to get those perks to show up. And to top it off I have to spend MORE BP on bill to unlock them again! All that hard grinding for nothing...
-
That still doesn't excuse the fact that:
1. The devs didn't make us aware of this at the time. A simple patch note would have sufficed and 2. How bullshit it is that they (according to you) intentionally made us unlock it TWICE. Why?
If I go by what you say and this wasn't just an oversight (bug) then they are feigning ignorance to the bottom line which is those who were affected by this has essentially lost a lot of progression.
Don't defend this. the devs to own up to what they have done. Intentionally it seems
-
Okay what if they couldn't kill but could stuff the killer in a locker for a period of time

Wait. You can? I play on ps4 and I actually haven't seen anything like that
100% my dude
-
You know you can remap your buttons in "options" right? Assign it to something different. You can even use the ps4 "custom controller assignments" in "accessibility".
-
Was that picture really necessary to upload?
-
Just annoying? You're failing to see the other side of the argument here therefor I can't help you with that

I don't mind camping, I get mad when they are standing right in front of you. If someone stands off to the distance or just a little bit off the hook im good.
I just think its a really crappy way to play and get wins from.
As I think looping is a crappy way to waste my time but at the end of the day you win some you lose some.
I'm trying to be nice and say just don't get caught. Hopefully your team will have borrowed time and you have decisive strike or something.
I once would have agreed with you but I got over that and there is counters to camping and I realise now that I don't agree with anyone who says it's a crappy way to get wins because if bubba can get 4 kills out of it then that's on the survivors not the killer. Kudos to the killer.
-
I'm personally tired of messages from salty survivors saying tunnelling and camping is "bad play" when the game is designed as well as aesthetically designed around those two core playstyles.
Yet nobody says a word about survivors "looping" which is equally annoying!
-
Camping can be annoying but I let it slide. It is not as big a problem like camping in a shooter game. Most killers rely on close range melee attacks. Also the borrowed time perk is there for a reason!

Is it possible that you thought you bought them from the Shrine because you were finding them in the bloodweb? Because as a console player, you would have already owned those perks by default, meaning it shouldn't have been possible to get them in the Shrine.
That's true. I wasn't sure if I got them before bills release in the bloodweb or after in the shrine. I just had a feeling. Seems pointless discussing it anyhow. Seems to be triggering some folks

That's true. They wouldn't have been in the shrine before bills release. I can't remember if I got them before in the bloodweb, or after his release in the shrine. I just had a feeling I did get them in the Shrine.
We'll never know. Seems like a lost cause discussing it at this point.

If you're talking about BEFORE, than no, that doesn't mean it'll still show up for you in the characters that owned it before...
To make this simple, unless you buy them again because of the change, or unlock them through Bill, than they will not re-appear ever again.
Those are you options, I'm sorry you used your shards on the perk before, but this is how you'll regain them, ok?
I read you the first time dude, take a chill pill.
-
Pretty sure I spent Iridescent shards on some of those perks in the shrine any way
-
Still for the characters I have these perks for, higher tier versions should still appear in their bloodweb no?

Because you had one guy in the basement and one gen left. You could have downed him, found the last guy with bbq, and closed it out.
If I downed the guy in the basement, the last guy could have done one of three gens opened a gate and the other guy could've crawled away. now THAT is a bad play. blood warden and bbq would have closed it out. only reason it didn't is because i was put off by them saying they'd report me for camping/hostage taking.
-
@JC316 said:
Not at all. It wasn't a smart play since you were giving the other guy time to do gens, but you weren't holding hostage. If you body block someone into a corner or a room, like the bathroom on the game, or the upstairs gen on Haddonfield, then just hold them there, that's a hostage situation.
how was it not a smart play? i had one dead bloodwarden on the last guy and two in the basement
-
camping and tunnel is the main tool a killer has. the game is built around that.

Can we talk about how hilarious Bubbas squeals sound when they're sped up? Lol
Sounds like a child, lol
-
@MandyTalk "I'm actually not certain if they will appear in the new bloodwebs for the perks that you have at low tiers - I've not actually come across that before. I suspect you'd have to unlock the teachables before the game recognised that you can get them at higher tiers."
Well it's available in tier 1 on my meg's bloodweb.
-
I have yet to try him out, but I have no doubt he is a cool character.
I'm just stuck now thinking I don't want to spend shards in the shrine or bloodpoints levelling him up to get perks I SHOULD and already do have and have spent shards and/or bloodpoints on before, all due to the past licensing restriction.
Again just to verify, these perks before bill was added were teachables bought in the shrine or were obtainable in one, if not all characters bloodweb?
-
@Mandy said:
Yes, you would need to level up Bill to get these perks - they were not initially teachable perks prior to the release of Bill, they were in the base game.
I think I understand. So it's not a bug. I only have these perks for these characters and they will not appear on other characters bloodwebs.
What about for the characters I do have them for, will higher tiers still appear in their bloodwebs? It's kind of unfair I have to buy them again.
-
@Mandy said:
This is due to the instance when Bill was added to console. Previously his perks were unlockable in the regular way but when he got added to the game on Console, his perks became teachable perks and need to be unlocked the same way as they are for other characters.
What do you mean by "the regular way"? I bought them in the shrine of secrets, they should be teachables, no?
you say "they need to be unlocked the same way as for other characters" I don't understand. Are you saying I should level up bill to buy these perks the normal way as opposed to using the shrine?

Did you also buy these in a old Shrine?
It would have been a while back so I'm not 100% certain but I definitely remember buying at least two of those, if not all of them in the shrine.
I will file a report but I would just like to know if they will still show up in my other survivors bloodwebs or if I need to buy them again and keep track of the perks I have purchased? just incase this happens again.
Now I will be going through checking all my perks are registered as being bought because if they are not showing up in my bloodwebs for killers aswell, I will have wasted alot of time and bloodpoints trying to get these perks to appear in my bloodwebs.
-
And left behind. for her.
-
I also should have unbreakable as seen in the Claudette screenshot
-
I remember buying borrowed time in the shrine months ago. I dont want to purchase it again.
-
My bill is level 1. I haven't used him.
-
This is on PS4 and I have borrowed time for a few characters
-
I dont camp usually but there is definitely situations where camping is a wise move, like when theres a 99% repaired gen with a hook and an injured survivor running around me. and if someone wants to save him while im standing there, then i will down the same person again to get that quick kill and the upper hand as opposed to potentially throwing the game for them to win and teabag me for it.
the game is designed this way and i shouldnt be castigated for that.
If i were killing my friends then thats another story, but i dont like losing as killer in this game against randoms.
I have nothing against anyone in this community, except people who troll me and that gets my back up, but i dont message them with nonsense. I just play my game and get better at it.
-
Proof
-
I'm on ps4. EU though
-
Equip other hex perks with ruin. Like haunted ground. That'll teach em
-
Survivors should stop being toxic
-
Does whispers make the music go away?
-
I just got a warning from playstation from someone messaging me and me saying "you're talking crap" and "stop being an ass".
I'm gonna stop people from messaging me before u get banned
-
I'm not an authority on the matter but the way I see it. Streamers get enough recognition without giving them powers in online games to ban people. More to the point I don't think streamers are more important than non-streamers and it's obnoxious as all hell to think you are.
That's just my view and I'm sure a lot of others agree also
-
I wouldn't worry about it but I fear I'm treading a fine line sometimes and it's not my fault. As a killer, getting those kills is my priority and if I can corner a bunch of survivors with my body and have them at my mercy (usually have none) I will enjoy it because that's the fun part.
Killer is hard work, ill take any amusement I can get by toying with my victims
