You were tunneling/hook chasing anyways idc tunnel me out. Don’t like playing against your playstyle anyways. It’s not the threat you think it is, and idc if I die, jokes on you have fun hook farming. Better not see you crying on here when you get stomped though bc wise survivors read you. I’d rather play with players that are actually skilled and can kill me without playing scummy looking for easy hits and want to see the rest of the map outside the hook area. You don’t bother me teenage nurse. That’s so cute though, nose boop!

How is looking for easy hits playing scummy? I'd say that's part of being a good killer. Why would a killer go out of their way to make the game harder on themself? That's basically throwing, so pretty much the opposite of playing good. This sure sounds like you care a lot more than you're willing to admit.

  • She's new again, so people will take a while to figure out how to play against her. That and of course bad players being bad players. There will be a few that won't ever learn how to play around her power. She isn't quite as linear to play around as a Trapper for example, so that is already enough to confuse some people.

  • There will not be a DBD 2 in the foreseeable future. Which is honestly good because this could very well kill the game. I'd imagine most of us would not be happy having to pay for a DBD 2 and possibly start from scratch with no characters unlocked. If everything is carried over however, then they will not make the money back that was put into creating DBD 2.

Ranked and casual mode would not work. The players who really want to win would still play the casual mode, making this whole situation even worse because the expectations for a casual mode would be for the games to be more... Well, casual.

A 2v8 would be pretty fun (I imagine). Obviously there would need to be some adjustments to such a mode (otherwise it would be very one-sided which players would enjoy at first but loathe in the long run).

  • When you try to learn the game, focus more on the learning part than the winning part. That's the best advice I can give you for either side.

You start, not knowing the basics and now need to learn how to chase, track survivors, manage gens, play around perks and items and get to know the maps. This all puts you at a huge disadvantage against anyone who knows at least some of these things. Putting yourself under pressure that you need to win this, is not going to help. In fact we tend to play worse, when lose our cool.

For beginners picking a killer that will allow them to focus more on the game itself than the killer can help to learn some of the basics quicker. Wraith, Doctor, Trapper and Legion are pretty good for beginners. They let you focus more on the game itself than your killer and they're pretty easy to get the hang of at first (obviously they all have some depth that only comes with experience and practice).

The most important part is to have fun. If you are not enjoying your time playing the game, then you will easily get discouraged and not feel like playing anymore. For that reason beginners should keep their expectations low. You start and you will play against some people that are better than you (there are many reasons for that other than MMR), so keep your expectations realistic. You will not get a 10 win streak right off the bat and you will struggle. But you will also learn from these experiences and slowly but surely get better. After a match it can help to ask yourself what went wrong and how you can play around that or avoid it next time.

Don't forget the Duration is boosted by 33% and you can effectively c flick around objects the Cap of two rushes ain't a negative enough for the power it gives it absolutely works against corners

I'm pretty sure the downside is heavier than the upside. I'm no Blight main though.

However, this clearly limits his map mobility a lot and not every loop is a simple rock. Try playing around 3 corners with this. It won't work. You have exactly one rush to set up and 1 rush to hit. The turn rate is also nowhere near as high as it was one the PTB. So you can't really turn around corners either (other than doing a flick of course).

the trapper or hag can cancel their set up and catch the survivor off guard running. plus skull merchant does has counterplay in chase. when you see the orange beam close to you just quickly crouch. the knight is countered through exploits meanwhile shes countered by a crouch mechanic. also how does she deny the speedboost? survivors still get a speed boost when going from healthy to injured by her drone

If you allow a survivor to crouch in chase, then that is your mistake alone. It's not hard figure out when to reverse the rotation. If you have a survivor run after the beam, then they can't avoid, if they are somewhat close to the drone. You leave them with absolutely 0 counterplay other than pre dropping the pallet immediately.

Since when do survivors get that speed boost? I have had the 'pleasure' to play against 2 Skull Merchants after her rework. The first time, I did not get the speed boost, which left me trapped in the loop. The second time she hard tunneled 1 survivor out of the game and I got the hatch after that without ever being in chase.

i could say the same with artist, xenomorph, chucky, nemesis, and the knight. goodluck trying to loop them lol i dont know why people act like her being strong in chase is a problem. its the same situation as like hag or trapper. they can shut down loops and areas by putting stuff down but no mobility

You have more counterplay against each and every one of them (yes, even Knight, although it is technically using exploits) than you have against Skull Merchant. She isn't just strong but she leaves you with absolutely no way to come out on top during a chase. That is a simple fact. She either gets the pallet (immediately btw) or she gets the health state.

Trapper cannot carry all of his traps with him to achieve the same results (aside from a purple addon that also has a massive downside) and Hag is 4.4 m/s. You make so much distance on her, that it simply doesn't work out, if she ever tries to chase like Skull Merchant. Also, both of them need to stand still to set up their powers, which already allows you to leave the loop. The same cannot be said for Skull Merchant.

You also forgot that Skull Merchant is the only one of these killers that can reliably deny survivors the speed boost after a hit, which also saves her a lot of time.

"This is my world. And you can't ever leave." — Freddy Krueger

My favorite thing as killer is control. I love the idea of pulling survivors into a dangerous world where Freddy is the one who holds all the cards. I like to spread the pressure, control the map, keep people asleep as much as possible.

And when they think they escaped from the Dream...

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7Y2ANIZQL02D/image.png

    The nightmare begins again.

    Poetic. I like it.

  • I am the undisputed most sweaty, brutally tunneling, slugging and camping Skull Merchant main (no offense to any Skull Merchant mains) you could ever imagine. I 4k every single match. Always. If it's not a 4k, then it's not me. Also, I take great pleasure in breaking my opponent's spirit and will always go out of my way to nod, shake my head, smack on hook or bm in any other way. I will never use any build that is not carefully crafted to subjugate those puny survivors. I once had a survivor almost escape through the hatch and this scarred me for life. I exist purely to make survivors sad. 😈

Please ignore the matches in which it looks like I play Hillbilly, ignore one survivor because they are already on 2nd hook and instead go for someone else, play with meme perks, let survivors go, write ggs in end game or give survivors second chances when it looks like I might win the game right at the start. I assure you that is not me.

I would also never try to challenge myself by playing dream pallet Freddy with only STBFL or meme around as Bodyguard Bubba.

  • I fear this will not work out. It will either come as an overwhelming nerf to survivors, or become very abusable. Both cases are obviously not good.

How does a killer find 2 (or worse yet 4) survivors that use Distortion and hide? They still repair gens but the killer can only chase whomever they find, so there would be someone on 2nd hook pretty soon and they would all get the extra repair speed. At that point, the killer once again has no choice other than tunneling that survivor out to slow the game. This is still better than having 3 survivors on gens at all times. Turn it up the speed much higher though and you create a simple lose-lose situation.

Additionally, slowing survivors down as long as nobody was hooked twice might lead to are rise in slugging. If they can't finish the game faster than the killer that is not focusing on progressing steadily but instead wearing them down and slugging until all 4 survivors lie on the ground, the compensatory gen speed buff would never kick in. But the repair speed penalty would enable this (at least on some killers).

An overall nerf to survivors in that regard would only work, if it didn't affect the more chill groups. Keep in mind, we do not need to limit the solo group's efficiency that is goofing off and just barely managed to repair 3 gens by the 6 minute mark. They still have a chance to win but not, if we arbitrarily limit them further. I don't think this would go over well either. So you would need to turn down the repair speed penalties. Massively.

But at that point we have survivors that are almost as fast as always from the get go and become much faster as the match progresses. So it would work as an overall penalty to the killer for the crime of doing their objective (no matter how). Meaning you'd have to turn down the extra speed massively as well. So this entire thing would need to be turned down until it does almost nothing, which would leave us in the same situation we are already in.

Maybe I'll skip the sunglasses and the one liner, because I prefer the remake. But I cannot wait for him to emerge from the depths of that nerf abyss.

I've always said Freddy and Hillbilly mains had the same struggle:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/MYBPBDYJTLEX/image.png

For one of them the struggle is over. Now it has to end for the other.

For one of them the struggle is over. Now it has to end for the other.

It will, friend. We will make it happen. From what I've seen most of the community is onboard anyway. It's only a matter of time before the weak will fear the glove again!

There will be a moment where Sadako and Hillbilly will look back at that abyss, contemplating how far they could have fallen, when suddenly a clawed glove emerges from it, and someone else escapes.

    It will be glorious.

Don't worry, we're not leaving Freddy behind. Billy and Sadako will lend him a hand and he will emerge greater than ever, possibly with a pair of sunglasses and a one liner.

  • He knows what it's like down there, so the addons were a small price to pay.

Amazing art once again, @C3Tooth. You always know how to make us smile.

  • Too strong? That's kind of hard to judge. She is weak in some regards but incredibly strong in others.

Take her chase for example. With minimal effort she forces you into a lose-lose situation. You either drop the pallet and leave immediately or you are pretty much down. Once you get 3 stacks of lock on, you get hindered, while she will have Bloodlust tier 1 and the haste effect from her power. When the drone injures you, you also don't get a speed boost, so really you are trapped in a loop against a M1 killer that moves significantly faster while you are slowed down yourself.

On the other hand though, she has no mobility and not a lot of map pressure (especially now that drones don't detect you when you're not moving) either. Her design is simply terrible.

  • I must have Dark Devotion. Because I'm seriously devoted to you.

Lightborn? Shadowborn? You could have my firstborn.

I'd take a hook for you.

Your eyes shine brighter than the stars and I am utterly Starstruck.

I'd like to share my Gift Of Pain with you.

I came up with a few more but I really don't want to risk a ban.

  • Doesn't it cap you at 2 rushes though? That sounds like a pretty bad trade for people that are somewhat good with Blight. The 48% doesn't help when a survivor plays around corners.

  • Base kit BT update: A survivor that is unhooked loses collision with the killer for 10 seconds instead of gaining endurance. They cannot be hit during that time. Once the last gen has been repaired, that survivor gains endurance instead.

Base kit DS: 3 seconds stun, active for 60 seconds, deactivates once a different survivor is hooked, deactivates upon taking a protection hit (if you take a hit for your team mate, then you aren't being tunneled), unable to use flashlights during that time, once per game. Deactivates in end game.

DS: 7 seconds stun, same limitations. It would work as an upgrade to the base mechanic.

Incentive: Upon hooking a survivor, one survivor with the least hook stages is revealed to the killer for 4 seconds. If multiple survivors have the same amount of hook stages, one is randomly selected.

  • Good for you. I wish I could say the same but so far I've played 8 matches and not one of them has even been somewhat pleasant on either side. Maybe this game mode is just not for me.

  • Champion of Light could be interesting. It's not super good but it's something different at least. Deadline also breaks the mold a bit but it depends on you how well it will work. Illumination is undertuned and sadly doesn't really fit in the niche that it was designed for, so this is probably his worst perk (although I like the concept).

You can only decide for yourself, if it's worth buying Alan Wake for his perks. They aren't all that impressive but they might be fun for a bit.

  • The killer can't be in 3 different places at once. The survivors however can be. So you will definitely get to work on the gens. After a while the killer will have no choice but to commit to a chase because they absolutely cannot regress the gens anymore.

The 8 regression events limit was installed to stop killers from holding 3 gens indefinitely and that is exactly what it does. So objectively, 3 gens have become weaker. A lot weaker at that.

I wouldn't lie to you @Xernoton if you are referring to me as Myers.

I can (On Nintendo Switch) stalk near a generator and my meter goes up without them even glowing white.

Perhaps it is indeed because the Switch brightness is so dark that if I were in the same position they would be visible.

Try it in a match you don't care to win. If you hear repairs, stay a bit back and stalk. Watch your meter as well as your Deviousness Stalk points in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Then that is definitely weird. I'll try him again later and see if that actually works the same on pc (I don't see why it wouldn't tbh) but last time it absolutely did not work.

I'm not sure whether or not this should work because it ends up either being an advantage for Myers or a huge disadvantage because he can barely stalk at all.

  • I'm pretty sure that's not true. I played him once and I could only stalk people that were clearly visible. Even when they were just barely beginning to fade into the fog, I could not stalk them anymore.

Regardless, this is still terrible. They knew of this problem because it had occured before but they couldn't fix it? That seems unlikely. Then again, this whole thing is obviously not well thought out, so it's not surprising that this wasn't fixed either.

I have to ask, how many times is this happening to you? This game mode is surprise hit galore, so you can either track with blood, or you abandon ‘chase’ and try again later.

I haven’t had much trouble at all.

Pretty much every time the survivor has had something to work with. They just make so much distance, that you cannot catch up before you lose them.

Sure you can try and track their blood but then it suddenly stops and you're left wondering where the hell they went. So you look around and during that time the blood disappears and they're gone.

Playing hit and run hasn't worked for me either because they still managed to heal 30 seconds later. And when survivors manage to avoid you pretty effectively, then you're happy to get another chase in these 30 seconds. Maybe I just had bad luck as a killer but most survivors seemed to have a pretty good idea when I was approaching them.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Yeah, tunneling goes hard in this Mode. At least this is a good indicator that you can nerf Survivor as much as you want, Killers will tunnel because it is the easiest way to win a game.

All Survivor-games I had were just tunneling.

I will 100% not play this mode again and I will most likely not play any future modes they release. At least you can do the Tome in regular games.

How in the world did you manage to make the killer find that survivor again? They have no way to track them either.

My games were hardcore camping so far, so not much better (is the AFC actually a thing in Lights Out?). I think this game mode is ridiculously bad for both sides. I tried to play it for the BP but I'd rather not play at all. This is the most boring and overall mind numbing experience I've ever had.

  • @Nos37 said:

I wasn't having fun at first either.

Then I took a step back and looked at it what it was: a new game mode for crybaby killers who want to consistently 4k every match, and a new game mode for survivors who have been asking the devs to "make DbD scary again."

I no longer go into the match expecting to escape and that makes it much more bearable for me.

Love the new Badge/Backgrounds from the Event Tome though, so I have to play Lights Out.

It's not much better for killers either. All you need to escape a chase is one good window. You make so much distance that they have no chance to keep track of you.

This mode is terrible for both sides. It's not scary but boring. Most of the time nothing happens and neither side has any feeling of progression.

Chases are incredibly mind numbing because the survivor either goes down without a struggle or they escape after dropping a pallet / vaulting a window.

  • It's pretty terrible.

From a survivor perspective: You have no feeling of progression whatsoever, run around aimlessly because you have no clue where to go, you cannot loop whatsoever, the chase ends when you vault a window and get hit because the killer has no way to find you again and it's just not fun because only the boring parts of the game remain.

From a killer perspective: You have no idea where to go, you have no way to find survivors other than by luck, chases are the most mind numbing experience imaginable because looping doesn't happen and windows = escape, you have no sense of progression again and most of the game is spent wandering around doing nothing. Again, all the fun parts of the game are gone.

I won't play any more of it. I was bored out of my mind the entire time I spent in this game mode. There were obvious problems from the beginning and almost nothing was done to address them. For example: I can't see a survivor and I don't have any visual aid to follow them, so how am I supposed to track them? I play without a headset. I cannot hear them. And even if I could, I would have to pray for the chase music not to mask any noise.

  • I would be laughing. If it wasn't so damn sad. Why did it have to hit Freddy of all killers? He already suffers enough.

I mean, I had a feeling this would happen because his Dreamworld kind of has a habit of malfunctioning whenever something is dark. But how could they not fix this beforehand? They knew this was an issue.

i think pebble and stake out should recharge in chase. they're crap perks that nobody uses.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3644217#Comment_3644217

untrue, gearhead+face the darkness can destroy tokens very quickly especially if the survivor is not hitting great skill-checks in full aura build. I put these perk in my nurse build at one point because i was annoyed for survivors countering my nowhere to hide perk.

It's not that hard to hit great skill checks, so that is definitely avoidable.

I had a match against a full group of Distortion enthusiasts and even with Lethal Pursuer, BBQ, Nowhere To Hide and Floods of Rage I couldn't burn through. And I got lots of scourge hooks in quick succession. You really can't do much more than this when it comes to aura reading and it's usually pretty overkill. Yet I was unable to get through their stacks. If that is not enough, then it's fair to say that in an average game you don't break through.

  • Change killer to Huntress and throw a hatchet.

  • I guess they were worried it would take too long to recharge tokens otherwise.

Regardless, I agree. As it is there isn't really much use in it having tokens at all. You might burn through with Scratched Mirror Myers but even a full aura reading build isn't going to work. It could be tweaked a little. Either make it so that it takes longer for tokens to recharge or you can no longer recharge tokens in chase but the recharge is faster.

  • Iirc killers automatically disconnect after a while.

Other than that we don't know, if anyone gets a penalty for being afk. You can only report them after the game is over and hope for the best. No matter what role they were playing.

  • The best counter I could come up with is Infectious Fright to warn you. Lightborn doesn't really help against pallet saves and in that situation there isn't a lot you can do. Maybe Mindbreaker could help.

The best thing you can do is to be careful and watch out for possible Background Player saves.

  • I love it. I have seen quite a few since the update and I'm having a blast. In overdrive he almost feels like a completely different killer because his play style and counterplay change.

He is also insanely fun to play with a few new tricks you can do on him. Great rework overall, BHVR.

Quite frankly I only skimmed through your reply.

I still stand by my point that surv gameplay is just boring. We can keep going back and for about this and nothing will change. You can talk about all the pallets on paper but when you're playing it's completely different. What is the point of a pallet when the loop is so short that the killer can just ignore it to go around and land a hit anyway? Or if they can literally hit you through a wall or a pallet? The only killers that would find pallets to be an issue are m1 killers and lets be real you don't see them often these days. And lets not get started about the crazy window and pallet hits that haven't been fixed to this very day.

Also keep your sarcasm to yourself because we all know that Freddy's kit is not just teleporting so try that again. It's clear you're just trying to be condescending so you do you.

Freddy has absolutely no other power than a teleport as long as you are awake. That is no sarcasm but a fact. Staying awake doesn't really take a lot of effort either. Even if you do end up asleep and with him after you, his anti loop is still bad. It's Clown's purple bottle in worse and he doesn't have anything else to help him out.

Also, you specifically brought up Freddy for his mobility. I'm not sure how dream snares would qualify as such. That was no sarcasm but a misunderstanding it seems. Although I do not understand why you would take Freddy of all killers as an example. There is no denying that Freddy is a pretty weak killer. He has little control over his own power, his teleport has a ridiculous cooldown and is the most restricted of any mobility powers in the game and it gets weaker the longer the match goes, his anti loop is a weaker version of Clown's purple bottle with less utility, he has absolutely no power at the start of a match and he has an inbuilt counter to his power (several actually). If your point was to list killers that would traverse maps quickly and then have oppressive chase powers, you discredited yourself by bringing Freddy into this.

You conveniently didn't mention what killers you meant that would hit you behind pallets and windows. This comes back down to your earlier claim that from a survivor's POV all killers are the same. But that is not the case. You play different against a Huntress, than you would against a Nurse and you play different again than you would against Chucky or a M1 killer. Of course, if you don't adjust your play style and use the killer specific counter play, then you will get hit. This is a logical result of your own mistakes.

I'll leave it at that. You are not interested in a discussion (otherwise you'd probably read the full thing and not come to the exact opposite conclusion of what was actually said), so I'm going to save my breath on this.

Should I have offended you, I assure you that wasn't my intention and apologise. Quite frankly I'm not sure what part of it was condescending but I'd be very interested in having that pointed out to me and learning from that.

BHVR did some really good things for new players especially. Reducing prices for old characters was one of the best things ever they did.

Now new player can get Kate, Feng for pretty decent perks. And they also can get Clown, Plague, Hag for some best killer perks. But problem with Alan Wake, his perks are not good for even new players.

Like let's say you are new player. You will have Dejavu which will show you 3 generators all time and generator speed as well. Why would you need Illumination. It's not even best option for new players and like you said, new players most likely won't buy him. And he is not giving any good perk to veteran players as well. But they could buff them to make them viable. Ofcourse non of them is meta changer but having options is always good.

They are doing some fine changes. Nerfing Blight was needed. Billy changes are amazing, that's first time i am enjoying after years. But then why would you nerf Sadako into ground. Sadly upcoming patch tweaks won't make her decent either. But at least she got so buffs. Her counter is still so easy and she still has no chase power or stealth. I hope they keep buff her and don't make us wait 4 years for buffs like Billy case.

The price changes are definitely good but I am still a bit concerned about the tutorials when it comes to new players. They don't really teach you a lot. I would very much like, if there were PvE modes for both sides, that would also give you some BP (maybe only until you have reached a certain level) for new players to practice. There are just so many things in the game that new players aren't told about and the things they are told about can already be quite overwhelming. So flooding them with even more information is likely not going to help.

The good thing about Illumination is, that it helps the entire team. At least in theory. But thinking about it, in solo queue nobody will know you have the perk. So they'll more likely think of it as CoH, Exponential or Shadow Step and only enter the range when needed.

I feel like this perk could be decent. If it was available to the right players and there was a way to spread that information more effectively. Maybe it could also have a side effect to allow you to set up boons 20% faster to give it a bit of an extra edge. I think many perks could have some small side effects to make them better in combination with others. In theory this should help with perk variety as well.

I will hold off on my final judgement for Sadako until after the changes are applied but I think these buffs will definitely improve her. She won't be perfect but it's a step in the right direction.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

I'd believe that if they were adding good perks with chapters. But let's be real. Non of new perks are that good and only new good perk we got nerfed to ground (MfT).

BHVR just don't know what they are doing. Like they have some good ideas but they are doing it with terrible numbers. And instead of some tweaks, we are getting terrible nerfs.

They make a lot of good changes but also some really bad ones. Sadako is an example of that. She was pretty decent on the PTB, then they broke her, now they try to fix the issue again. It kind of feels like they are so overly cautious on some things (Alan Wake's perks, Sadako and anti 3 gen mechanic) but more than happy taking a few risks on other things (Hillbilly and Grim Embrace).

There seems to be no consistency. Illumination could be a decent perk, if it wasn't locked behind a dlc (new survivors could definitely use it) but as it is it's sadly quite underwhelming because the players that would actually use it, don't have it and the ones that have it, don't need it. Champion of Light is a bit harder to get right. It's not bad but also not good. Just one of these perks that's not reliable enough to be used more often. Maybe it could add 20% extra battery to flashlights, to make it a bit more consistent.

I don’t have optimism for Freddy as much, mostly due to the licensing issues and I don’t think Behavior wants to touch him again and the community still has PTSD from Forever Freddy.

He's due for some changes and it was already announced that he will receive an update in the future. I highly doubt Freddy being a licensed killer will be an issue. They could even make tweaks to Demogorgon when he wasn't technically in the game.

That is not 180°. Looks more like 90° although it is a bit confusing because we don't see the actual flick.

they made medkits boring to use

also dislike the way they changed botany knowledge

What do you mean, boring? They still work the same as before. They're just a bit weaker now. But the mechanic wasn't changed at all.

  • It's a live service game so nothing is really set in stone. One day medkits could be adjusted again, we don't know.

But for the foreseeable future I doubt it. They're mostly fine now. Maybe some addons could be a bit better and the purple medkit could have some more charges (just to make it different from the others) but that's about it.

  • This will definitely put her in a better spot. Especially the part about her manifesting at 3.68 m/s always felt a bit weird to me. It wasn't super impactful but it felt weird none the less. I'm not sure why locked in condemned has to be limited at all. Tunneling works with or without it, so it doesn't really do much in that regard.

Overall these are good changes and they give me a lot of hope for Freddy, @GeneralV.

  • Let them have their strengths. I'd rather trap killers play around Devour Hope than full slowdown.

  • The Wiretap thing is pretty ridiculous. I don't know how they hadn't though of that. Let's hope they'll adjust this soon. I think it would be better, if survivors would automatically repair a gen for 1-1.5 seconds instead of the 5% progress.

Clearly a bug and not intended, pretty sure if it becomes widespread it'll be hotfixed.

It's not a bug but an oversight. Everything works just as intended.

When was the last time you saw the twins? Or Freddy?

34 killers, but over half of them have had their playstyles nerfed into the ground

I haven't seen Twins in a long time. Freddy is pretty rare too. But this is less of a survivor issue than it is an issue with these killers. You still have enough variety for the game not to feel as stale as one might think.

Even more so now that Hillbilly is in a good spot again and you might actually encounter one. Together with Chucky, Wesker, Huntress, Blight, Legion, Deathslinger and Wraith (just a few examples of commonly picked killers) this is a pretty good variety. Much better than a year ago, when people only played Wesker because most other killers just weren't fun.

Also, most killers haven't had any significant nerfs to their play styles. In fact there have been more buffs to killers in recent years than anything else. Chucky was nerfed (I'm still salty about that), Xenomorph wasn't really nerfed but fixed (although it's ridiculous the proposed buff was never even tested), Wesker hasn't really had any nerfs, Huntress has been buffed more than nerfed, Nemesis remains largely unchanged (although it seems his zombies are a bit better than they used to be), Sadako was in a pretty good spot on the PTB and we know that there will be more adjustments to her soon (which wouldn't be necessary, if they hadn't nerfed her from the PTB), Legion became a lot better with their rework, the same goes for Ghostface, Trickster was reworked / buffed, Oni had some of his addons buffed, Bubba got the Carburettor Tuning guide fixed (which is a buff), Trapper has gotten plenty of buffs, Pig was buffed a little, Myers had some of his addons buffed, Billy got a huge buff (taking him up several tiers) and even Demogorgon got some slight buffs. There haven't been a lot of nerfs to killers lately other than Spirit's and Blight's addons (both justified).

  • The short answer is: No.

The long answer is: A resounding NO!

But there is a chance she will receive some more nerfs in the future, which I would very much like.

  • Maybe this is a good thing. It might be good to leave infinite regression be a thing of the past and move towards something more interactive. This will probably need a few more changes in the future but it could break the mold a bit and lead us to a more enjoyable game in which killers and survivors use more than 7 different perks.

  • I can only speak for myself but I have had quite a few games in which I played pretty normal at first because I knew all it took was one bad play for the entire thing to go south. But then 2 survivors were dead and I realised these people weren't as efficient as I thought and that I stomped a group of casual survivors. In that case I let them choose, if they want to farm or die.

You can't really tell how the game is going until it's pretty much over.
