  • I still play every day, but not as much as before. Playing killer is not very fun with the bad and annoying map design. However, last night I played killer for a while, not because I was getting a 4k or 3K on every game, but just because the maps I got were nice.

  • A good try hard SWF team on comms makes the game a lot easier and also boring and uninteresting, that's one of the reasons I always play solo.

  • I don't know if I would say toxic, but bringing a mori and running noed is a bit too much in my opinion.

I also find annoying bringing two or more bnp. I don't understand why a player would want to make gens as fast as possible and escape. I don't think it's very fun, but if your idea of fun is rushing the gens and probably not being chased even once then good for you I guess.

  • Overrated: Adrenaline, I never use it nor feel I really need it.

Underrated: We'll make it. Hardly see anyone using it. It can be a life saver and also doesn't make you waste too much time.

  • The totem has always been cleansed before it even does anything all the times I've tried to use it. I prefer Haunted Grounds.

  • I notice I manage to hit the bad players with the long lunge, the more experienced ones don't seem to have a lot of trouble dodging it. His power seems to be pretty weak around the shack and around the TL's. He is okay, I think he is still strong, but a bit underwhelming, because at this point I consider him a worse Myers and a worse Billy. The only reason I find to play as Oni is to finish off a survivor with a cool animation and that's about it for me.

  • A streamer playing survivor accused me of sniping today. Never been accused of such thing before by any streamer after almost 2k hours of play.

The level of ######### arrogance that you have to have.

  • "Report for camping"

  • The fact that probably the worst killer of the game is called "The Clown" is kinda funny and makes me wonder if it's intentional.

  • Ironworks of misery: Remove the god loop. Easy fix: Put a doorway instead of that window and a safe pallet outside.

  • I would like DD a lot more if it lasted more than just 40 seconds.

  • I recently saw a video of Otz playing Pig and he harrased the survivors who had the traps on, slugging them and not allowing them to take them off.

I remember doing that once during egc when a survivor had a trap that was activated when the last gen popped. It was a Feng Min, she and her team complained I tunneled, but whatever. I never let her take that trap off, downing her over and over again at the jigsaw boxes until egc was about to end and her remaining team mates left her to die. I tried chasing the other two to get free hits with the hopes of downing them at some point, but I also wanted to keep an eye on Feng so she wouldn't take the trap off.

She stlll has some endgame potential, but forces you to harras the survivors who have active reverse traps on their head and slug them instead of hooking them, because it takes them more time to recover than being unhooked, which makes them waste for time during egc.

  • I would like to see a tiny buff to Dark Devotion, from 40 seconds to 50 seconds.

  • lmao this would bring bullying the killer to a higher level.

  • I can confirm I keep going against green rank killers. I can also confirm I don't play killer that much anymore, the bad map and game design is getting old and boring. With the current lack of killers or bad matchmaking even playing solo survivor is starting to get boring.

The game can be fun sometimes, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone in its current state. I know the devs have worked hard to balance and improve the game, but there's still a lot to work on.

  • You know what's the worst thing about that loop? Is that in case you commit to the chase there is a tight corridor and a doorway on which you can be bodyblocked by other survivors when you are about to reach the one you were chasing and from there one of them can loop you around the school three times all over again.

Best advice you hear from survivor mains; let the survivor go. Yeah, a free escape. These loops are safe zones with little counterplay with some killer, unless you become paranoid and start running bamboozle on every build.

They've already nerfed it once, it's fine as is. The fields of corn are otherwise giant dead spaces, the obscured vision is supposed to compensate for that.

That's understandable, but maybe they should get rid of the giant dead spaces and make something similar to Torment Creek.

  • Yes, one match as killer on coldwind maps is enough for me to switch to survivor. I used to play more games as killer, but the bad map design is getting old and boring.

  • I don't think it's a ranking system problem, I think it's more like a lack of killers problem. It seems that they decided to change the ranking system when nobody is interested in playing killer anymore.

I can confirm; I used to play enough matches as killer during the season to make it to rank 5 or 4, but I just don't find playing killer very fun anymore so I barely made it to rank 8 after the last rank reset.

Well that’s kind of the point, the killer need to bring the perks they are comfortable with, many times as a survivor I bring perks that I don’t end up using

I understand. But you got three people backing you up with 12 perks, the killer can only rely on himself and 4 perks.

  • How about applying the broken status effect for 120 seconds?

  • I don't think so, that would make bringing Lightborn a guessing game or completely useless. I think the killer needs to prepare, because survivors are able to bring more than one flashlight to the game and coordinate flashlight saves if they are on comms.

However, I think something should be done about lobby dodging, but something should also be done about changing your items right before the timer hits 5 seconds.

  • You could argue that the power role is an optimal SWF team running OoO.

Or streamers who play killer for a living.

In case you wonder how the spheres could look like; they added the Spheres as a weapon on Blood 2: The chosen.

  • @Majestic_Herman proposed a disgusing killer and the idea of adding The Tall Man to the game would be a nice touch.

He could not only play with his terror radius while on disguise (depending on what add ons you use), but he also has map pressure potential which doesn't make him virtually useless against SWF teams; he would be able to throw spheres at gens to injure survivors, put them in the dying state or scare them away from them (similar to what Freddy does when you teleport to a gen). Sinec he has map pressure potential I think he would be a strong disguising killer. In the movie the spheres do different things so the add ons could modify them in different ways and apply different status effects.

I'm having trouble thinking about how his basic attack would work tho.

Please consider this BHVR! I would love to see this iconic character in the game.

  • What if three people bring a key tho?

  • Boring from both perspectives; survivors just hide and killers wander around the map doing nothing. I would agree ruin or gens could use a rework, but I don't think this is a good solution.

Well. Yes. Haha, that's supposed to be the point, but you could use a fake terror radius to try and shake people off your trail

Yeah, maybe different add ons do different things while you are on disguise. I think it's a neat concept, but only if the killer has a secondary power that can apply map pressure and doesn't make him useless against swf teams. That's why I think The Tall Man would be a good option.

Yes, the Tall Man from the movie Phantasm. He can not only shapeshift but also throw spheres. Also, the disguising feature could at least work to reduce your terror radius to 0 and at least get a free hit.

Yeah, the Tall Man from the movie Phantasm. I think being able to throw spheres at gens to inure survivors, put them in the dying state or keep them off gens would be cool. He has map pressure potential.

  • Bring The Tall Man (Phantasm) to the game!

He can not only shapeshift, but he can also throw spheres to gens and injure survivors from miles away. This would be a disguising killer that would be somewhat useful since SWF exists.

  • I also think he is fun, but his dash attack seems almost useless, I only use it to catch up with survivors and sometimes I'm lucky enough to catch them off guard with it. However his lunge attack is strong, unless you are running around a TL.

I have more fun with him than with Billy, but maybe that's because I haven't mastered Billy yet since I rarely play. Oni seems easier to control, at least for me.

  • Killers have an easy mode which is a mori, but survivors also have an easy mode which is swf and a key.

"Use discord to make the game easier" that's a literal quote.

  • Thanks. I completely forgot about gens...

I remember doing that before the egc was implemented, for some reason I forgot it still can be done.

  • Nerf myers? Please no. He's barely able to handle good red rank survivors as he is now in my opinion.

  • I think you need to deal with moris differently, in my opinion they can make the game last longer and also fun if you know how to deal with them.

If there are only three of you left priority are gens; you need to make at least four so the hatch spawns, then forget about gens for a while and become very stealthy and look for the hatch for an alternative exit and lead your team to it when you see them so at least one of you can escape.

Sometimes you won't have to wait until three gens are done before the hatch spawns.

After that your priority are chests: you need to be very stealthy, do not run, do not leave scratchmakrs and look for a key, you might get lucky. You will make the killer nervous, probably a bit mad because he will be wandering around the map looking for you for a while.

Once you all know where the hatch is return to the gen or two last gens. The killer will have to chase one of you and maybe buy you enough time to power up the exit gates.

Once they are powered you need to be stealthy again to mindgame the exit gate, do not rush it; stop opening them when you reach the s of escape, then go find the other gate and do the same. One of you could eventually open one of them because the killer can't protect both of them at the same time nor chase someone and mori someone while someone else finish opening the gates, which now most likely will be you if you do what I'm saying.

I know it may sound tedious or boring, but it can be done (I've done it) and it's very satisfying to escape an ebony mori.

This is the only productive advice or thing I can say about this, you need to adapt to the situation and have a different strategy, you can't just run around the map trying to loop a killer who could potentially have an ebony mori.

Its cuz they want ez matches and wanna copy ppl like Noob3 or ochido. Swf ruin the game in many ways. But now i know its not me but them having no skills for being swf. I dont see why youd want to play in a toxic manner with friends. Just play to survive yes. But not letting at least one person sacrifice self..is a no in their book apparently. And yeah to me the point of this game as a survivor is to feel isolated and powerless.

Maybe. That's another reason why I don't like playing with people who invite me to their discord channels; it feels like playing on the easiest difficulty setting.

No, it was only to tell you if someone was already going for the save. Nothing more.

Why show the killer's aura then? There must be a reason, I wonder what could that reason be.

  • I suppose it should if the perk's porpuse is to let you know when you can make a safe unhook.

  • I have mixed feelings about it. Matchmaking is messed up, I'm a red rank survivor going against green and yellow rank killers who are getting stomped and nothing really interesting happens. Not very fun. It seems to me that they decided to change it when there aren't enough red rank killers to play with. I'm on PC btw.

  • Because it's 4 vs 1 and most people are sheep; what I mean is that it only takes one salty survivor being toxic for the rest of the team to start being toxic too. That's the way most people behave if you look at it from a sociological point of view.

  • @kate_main said:

    Yep;

just wish devs started working on a fix for this instead of letting swf groups dominate for 3 years.

Meanwhile, solo survivor experience is still frustrating most of the time.

I bought this game expecting a horror game. I wanted to feel scared, immersed, confused and feel like the odds are against me. I can only get that feeling when I play solo and that's why I only play solo. I dislike SWF from both perspectives.

I really never felt or feel frustrated, maybe because I always get the experience I want. I don't know what other players expected, but I always thought playing against the killer was supposed to be harder than playing against survivors.

  • If you are a red rank killer, then no.

Most of the time you either get a try hard team or a red rank with his potato yellow/green/purple rank friends.

I have played in these 2 days, more than 30 games with him and you know the result? I have faced good survivors and they laugh at him, I feel that I am missing something to catch them with power. I am sorry to tell you that they are not 90º and according to JANICK "you will have an additional 5-10º if you do it with a mouse" this is impossible and it feels BORED. It is what I have to say. Typical logic of BHVR, follow nerf the killers until nobody plays them.

If I choose ONI if I face bad players, do you know what the result is? They will think that ONI is broken, while they are bad players, bhvr always listen to these players and if the game continues like this based on the "fun" it will fall badly. I AM a damn 2016 player, I have spent more killer time, but this is embarrassing already ...

Being a survivor is the easiest thing I've seen, I'm about to play as a survivor and rush in every game, to see if this is fun.

    Sry i am hyper tilted.

It's not fun. When you pop the gens too fast you might get an interesting endgame, sometimes not even that. And to be honest I'd rather be genrushed as a killer than rush through gens as a survivor, because feeling pressure is more interesting than feeling none.

  • @YaiPa said:

He is weak around LT, but even with bamboozle you won’t win LT’s loops, since every time you vault you give the other vault, which is mathematical a free vault.

as for the question, either infectious, or bbq.

Maybe, but I think it would be easier to mindgame and control one vault than a whole TL. This is just a thought tho, I haven't tried bamboozle on him yet, but I will. It may sound better on paper, I'll give it a try and maybe post the results here.

  • How to behave; just play the game and in case you get sacrifices; you can hit the toxic survivors who die on hook right after you hook them to return the favor, they would probably not like that.

  • His dash attack seems to be useful only in tight corridors or if you happen to run into someone by accident just in time. Otherwise you might just wanna dash to catch up with a survivor and that's it, just do a regular lunge after that.

At least he isn't another clown, like Scott said. I still think he is strong and fun, just not as strong as before.
