I mean feature that let's you summon guard while there is already another guard active. I would say that is quite nice…
Wich then removes the guard... wich means you gain nothing. Now if i could summon a guard to do an action while a guard keeps chasing that would be nice.

Balance by bugs is one of the worst design perspectives a game can have, and in most genres its entirely unthinkable
Whole current way of playing DBD is not intended. I fail to see how it is bad thing.
Sure, there are game breaking bugs that should been removed, but some bugs should become a feature and stay imo. We can see this on Knight quite well…
DBD is not CSGO, or Dota. Bugs are part of the game at this point and balance is not really a thing in DBD. I don't think it's bad thing, DBD is supposed to be played for fun and some bugs simply add additional layer of what you can learn about this game.
It may be not interesting for you, but I love to learn what bugs there are and how to use them.If one is a bugfeature, both are. If you only make one a feature (even though it was already identified as a bug and even attempted to fix it) that becomes inconsistent.
Killers are not the same. The outcome of similar bug on the game is not same. Killer's counterplay is not same.
It simply doesn't make sense to hold this to any standard to me and should be treated case by case. You mean the knight feature that made the guards useless unless you pincer with them? (Wich doesnt even work bc of the 3x depletion

Trapper- Mangled and hemorrage can be combined, give deep wound on escaping traps basekit.
Deathslinger- Add on pass
Huntress- Iri Hatchet rework
Clown- Pinkie Finger Rework
Wraith/Doctor- Don't need 3 variants of same add-ons
Sadako- More add-ons that affect condemned
Myers- Tombstone Rework
What would you do to rework tombstone? Bc without it he doesnt have much lethality (id say add it basekit but the survivor has to be fully stalked/death hoom)

Map and realm repeat prevention is still very much active in the game, so what you're describing is something I could pass along to the team to look into. Out of interest, is this something that you submitted as a bug report?
quick question does it work per "session" (as in booting up the game) or is it you get eyrie 1 match autohaven the next and it resets the eyrie? (asking bc ive gotten multiple of the same maps this week) (gideon, dead sands, coldwind realm, forgotten ruins/shattered square, haddonfield and some yamaoka) sometimes abit of ormond or toba but thats about it. I havent gotten swamp in weeks (not that i mind bc i have a vendetta against that map for balance reasons) neither have i seen macmillan much as of late

I started with myers back in 2020 (ish). Then it was ghostface then pig and now im back full circle to tombstone myers (halloween kills outfit when bhvr)

You got it.
A lot of people don´t understand that the passion and rage this game can inflict is a big reason it is still successful.
there is just something about dbd that just keeps me hooked (no pun intended). It could be that i like horror movies like halloween kills or saw. It could also be me waiting for a certain license (jurassic world/indoraptor).

all i want is a halloween kills cosmetic and maybe some actual danger to his tier 3

Hey there folks! I'm happy to share that Phase 2 of the Quality of Life updates is already underway, with pieces of the roadmap having been tested as part of the recent 9.1.0 PTB. This included the Map and Key item balancing and Custom Game improvements. On top of these, improved keyboard and mouse support on consoles is also coming alongside our upcoming update.
Of course, this is just the start of Phase 2! We'll have more to share about other aspects on this phase soon, so stay tuned.
is there a custom match improvement for game modes (like lights out and 2v8 in custom matches? since id LOVE to do them with friends

I started playing DBD in 2023 and a friend showed me images of the old Coldwind and I never understood why they removed the old atmosphere from the game. The map was so much better dark. I only hated the old cornfield though
same i started in like 2020 ish? also can you imagine how cool eyrie would look with only moonlight as ilumination with a fog effect?

Even as killer theyre terrible bc you can forget seeing scratchmarks and auras (make the realm dark again i beg you. Same goes for making eyrie dark. Light maps dont belong in DEAD by DAYLIGHT

No, you are the one saying they are considering you wrote them in your own first message. I'm saying they're not and would get matches. I honestly don't think you even read the things you type out.
when did i say cenobite and knight are unbalanced? i just said that if the devs implement a killer ban feature that they wont get matches due to survivors disliking their gameplay loop. Stop attacking me for no reason and come with actual arguments. instead of buh buh unbalanced this and that…
-
@Shirtless_Myers said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3967722#Comment_3967722
Exactly. If these killers are not balanced, why should anybody be forced to play against things that are unhealthy? Even though Cenobite and Knight will still get matches, I can predict the winner the moment the game starts if it will be Nurse, Blight, or Ghoul. I wonder if the developers even play their own game, as these three shouldn't exist in their current states if you want to classify Dead by Daylight as a PvP game.
so your saying knight and cenobite are "unbalanced"??? they are both B tier at BEST
-
@Shirtless_Myers said:
For a game with 40 killers and this number to continue to grow, I'd love to see a killer ban feature if we're going the route of banning certain maps. Certain killers are blatantly problematic, and rather than be forced to play against something incredibly anti-fun and possibly pay 2 win, I'd rather ban the killer from my queues than play out a pointless solo queue match that was over before it started.
This would make matchmaking impossible for certain killers... (nurse/blight/kaneki/knight/cenobite etc etc)

If you don't mind me turning your question back on you, now that you've had time to dig into his gameplay (I'm glad you're liking him!), is there anything you'd change about the Animatronic?
Greetings from the fog!
Im not op but his addons feel stale for example why use celebrate! poster now its a purple addon that hinders you more then it helps you. And the rest of his addons are alright. Another big pain point (atleast for me) is the massive slowdown when starting/shooting his axe and especially once thrown you get a massive speed decrease. This feels AWFULL especially if missed wich is easy with how tiny its hitbox is (not that that needs changing).
Another issue he has is his axe grab its very inconsistent ive had multiple times where i see the popup i click and i just m1/lunge instead of doing the grab wich loses me a hook/time. To me he also doesnt deserve to be 4.4ms since his anti loop is the same as unknown but it just injures if hit.
Hes nice but why play him when i can play someone like huntress and gain more tries at the anti loop. (but without the map traversal wich im not encouraged to use outside of a niche scenario.)
It doesnt help the survivors NEVER need to use the doors to teleport and can have an uncounterable aura read (since it can go through walls making it uncounterable).
Also abit off topic but id suggest looking at slinger as hes in abit of a sorry state atm (ive seen my chain shot just get broken without anything to interupt its connection. And he just lacks some form of map pressure because of his 4.4ms status)
Thanks for reading -

its just so iconic, and it would do an indirect buff since the survivor would feel more pressure and hear slightly worse
I think it would be better to start with shawnee smith as va and pig getting a unique chase and menu theme and hello zepp can come later
-
Hello zep would be better for rbt countdown when her chase.
Sadly the license of the theme is VERY hard to get. So hard infact that the official saw game coudnt get it
-
If this change goes through you might aswel play nemesis
Has a better pallet break with the tentacle wich can also work as anti loop AND isnt on a long cooldown like carnefex
And also has 2 ai that are just there to occupy survivors
And all of this without restrictions.
Oh and as cherry ontop once the vaccines are used you get a straight up buff to tracking with the coughing

i think bhvr should look into the entities creations when making an original. Like instead of the killer being plucked from a certain world this one would be created/molded by the entity itself. (im still waiting for the Indoraptor from jurassic world to join the fog one day tho)

It's due to the size of this PTB, its something in the region of 42GB for this one due to an Engine Update on the PTB.
for what purpose was the engine updated if i might ask? just general improvements (like code structure/stability) or to make it be able to handle more stuff (like heavy effects/textures or heavy loads of code being pushed through)

Survivor players have been being ignored and abused for years and BHVR doesn't care and hasn't cared. Nothing has been done and the queue times show. Games are ending in less than 5 minutes for the vast majority of the playerbase and part of that is because the maps are so tiny now killers don't have to think before they are on top of a person. There is nothing "intense" about being tunneled and camped the entire game because a killer player decided you were their target. I have spawned in the killers terror radius more times than I can count now, I have been hit less than a minute into the game. All of that is because the awful map decision of making everything smaller.
So "ignored" means multiple basekit features item reworks (in the future but still) more basekit features coming basekit and what has killer gotten? Gen tapping removed? Thats about it if im not mistaken.
Even now over half the roster of killers simply cannot keep up with the pace of the game

Me away from home: thanks… TwT

When is bhvr gonna punish survivors for completing their objective efficiently? (Same thing from the killer side)

@6yXJI0 said:
Out of all 110% Deathslinger deserves to be 115% the most for a couple of reasons:
He is still the only ranged killer that has to m1 to down. (If we don't count Houndmaster as a ranged and even she is 115%)
His kit is very slow, in terms of animations. Reeling takes time, Missing slows you down, Reloading is basically an additional attack cooldown. It all adds up, you lose distance very easily and then you are also a 110%/4.4ms snail speed Killer that can't catch up, since he doesn't have any mobility ability.
This dumb outdated mechanic where 110% killers have a MASSIVE hitbox disadvantage when looping around round loops. Survivor with active MFT (+3%) can circle for a very long time before you can catch up with Bloodlust 3. And if you have no Bloodlust (Rapid Brutality), then it's a LITERALLY an INFINITE.
They should just rework mft its simply too punishing to killers that it applies to (mainly slinger) lets also not forget each new map screws over hit detection for the redeemer

depends on where you hit, but I don't really disagree. don't think the control of the chain is an issue, just how fast it breaks.
The control issue is mainly vs bots bc those have more controll for some reason. And be really could use both reload addons fully basekit

"Spirit because her power is a universally good antiloop"
so is blights.
huntress is 110 because her range makes it so she doesn't need to catch up to a survivor. same applies to slinger.
we can go over why any character being 110 or 115 is better. but I doubt it's an argument that will end.
I think hag could be 115 because she needs to set up to use her traps and that takes time. you can't just put a trap down mid chase and expect it to work if the survivor is not asleep. she really depends on her power, but it's nowhere near as reliable as nurse or spirit.
I disagree on slinger since he still has to reel them in to down wich means you are punished for hitting sharpshooter shots since the chain breaks too fast. Being 115 would also help with gain control over the chain
-
I agree 110% is a thing of the past and it shows

That's a common math mistake that comes up way too much on the forums and has been talked about extensively.
Basically, if you have a range of data (0k, 1k, 2k, 3k, 4k) and you average them out (2.4k), the average of the data does not mean that is most common data point. In DbD's case the 2k is probably the least common occurrence of the 5 possibilities.
Without accurate data from the devs we shoudnt even discuss kill rates escape rates tbh and just go off of flst gameplay

I would rather play 1000 games against Ghoul than a single game against Springtrap. Doesn't even matter how OP any of them are, Springtrap is absolutely miserable to play against. At least I know when I go against Ghoul I won't get perma camped and tunneled and actually have a chance to loop him instead of having to wait for Springtrap to hit me with his semi-truck sized axe that he slammed into my face.
Every single time a new killer releases its constant whining... do you want wins to be handed to you? Do you want to only face 10 hour trappers? Last patch ghoul was broken bc of autoaim now its springtrap who is B tier at best...

So why are most killers in the 50-60% killrate range? (btw 60% is what BHVR aims for). I don't think many ppl understand the games balance. If lets say half of killers stop tunneling today, then next week the stats would have dropped below 40-50% killrate.
Maybe it is the perfect wake up call needed for it to be understood that we shouldn't try to maintain the 60% KR, it just creates a bad experience for survivors.
At the same time a 60% kill rate is a little over a 2k pet match wich means most games should be a draw...
-
@VibranToucan said:
- The AFK crow system can be overturned in edge cases like this one or a Cenobite with corrupt intervention who starts a chain hunt early. It is still overall an improvement.
- "instead of addressing why these players were doing it" Here is a few examples for why I have seen people go next: It's a Legion, It's a Clown, It's a Wraith, It's a Ghoul, It's a Kaneki, It's a Hillbilly, It's a Cenobite, It's a Dredge, It's a Vecna, It's a Skull Merchant, they were AFK for 30 seconds and during that time the killer downed them, the killer avoided a flashlight save, they were hooked first, etc... - There isn't one big reason why everyone goes next. 90% it's just like "This match wasn't catered to me personally", which you can't solve in a 1v4.
- Pretty sure they disabled that.
- The killer can't do much else. There are 2 gates that each take a mere 20 seconds to open meaning, unless you have an end game build, you can't really defend them. The killer can't really do anything in the end game. You can't patrol gates effectively and you definitely can't kick them like gens. Getting a hook and watching it is the only thing you really can do. Is the killer just supposed to stand in a corner and let the Survivors escape once the endgame started. Also you said that Hatch is a bad comparison because the killer usually finds it first, as if the Survivors can't usually coordinate a successful unhook.
- No idea what you mean by that. Do you mean Basekit BT?
- How does that encourage slugging further? Going for the 4 man slug is as hard as ever, and sure Survivors can quit now they don't have to. I actually have seen way less 4 man slugs since this system was implemented.
- Wiggling is supposed to only be useful with Sabo/Bodyblocks. If every map had placed you could always wiggle out from, that would be stupid.
- If the killer spawns near you, unless they run lethal pursuer, that is good for you. They will assume Survivors are far away and walk across the entire map.
Looks like your getting downvoted for common sense... i fully agree with everything you say. When trapper is in the current state he is then survivor is playable for sure. Just dont go in soloq expecting your "team" to carry your ass you shoudnt trust your team in ANY pvp game (unless with people you know)

Absolutely agree. I’ve been pretty vocal on these forums about this exact issue. It’s not always a skill issue, more often, it’s a skill gap. I've voiced this exact issue in every feedback survey I can lol.
Whether people want to acknowledge it or not, the fact that killers have access to custom bot lobbies is a huge resource. Killers can test builds with or against perks they don’t even own, experiment with different items, choose specific maps, and tailor exact scenarios to improve. That is an incredible learning tool. Meanwhile, survivors are expected to adapt on the fly - every single time. And while learning to play as a specific killer can give you great insight into how to counter them, it is unreasonable to strong arm someone into playing a killer they have no interest in, that they will have to pay money for, just to get an idea on how to face them because it's the closest thing to practice they have access to- when again- this is not an expectation pushed on the other role.
And look, growth is good. More killers, perks, and mechanics keep the game exciting. But as the game evolves, the learning curve for survivors keeps getting steeper, and it’s honestly becoming a barrier for newer or even returning players. The fact that the killer role has had access to this training resource since 2022, while survivor still doesn’t, feels like a real oversight.
All players deserve equal access to tools for improvement. Survivors shouldn’t have to “trial by fire” their way through 40 different killers just to get better. Practice shouldn’t be exclusive or a privilege, it should be standard and equal.
If you could go against killer bots then you eony learn anything outside of its base since a bot has to be repetitive to work (look at survivor bots having perma wallhacks) do while players might not like playing killer they can play that killer against bots at their own pace to see how it works on the killer side of things so they can prepare for whats to come. (I sadly dont think this is an issue you can easily fix)

I always think this is a very flawed argument. Since it implies that only the Survivors need to learn how to play against a Killer, but the Killer player already knows how to play their Killer to the fullest. So while it is true that Survivors will improve the more often they play against a certain Killer, the Killer players will also improve on said Killer. I think Blight is a perfect example for this.
Not that I think that Springtrap is too good. He should receive his Bugfixes and also Bonnies Guitar Strings should be nerfed, but I feel thats about it for now.
Just curioud but what addon is left after bonnies strings is nerfed? Bc iris are too expensive browns dont do enough his haste addons got gutted and the rest is meh (looking at you 60 seconds of mangled and hemorrhage
