Yeah this is a dumb idea. For this reason ^ and the fact that you can have played only a few hundred hours and have as valid an opinion as someone who has played for thousands of hours.

It isn't the hours that make their opinion valid; it's their arguments they use to support it.

I never understood people censoring people based on the hours they played. Judge the argument not the person. I have seen quite a few people on the forums that have thousands of hours sound like fools.

I believe the op was don't asking why was hatch grabbing removed and I'm asking the same question. It's really cool when I sacrifice hook the third person and I can see where the 4th is running with BBQ because they've had time to scour the map for the hatch while I've been busy actually playing the game, to get to the hatch at the exact same moment as them, and they escape because I cant grab them. It's bs. I don't really care all that much, but it is bs.

Devs did it because they are lazy and survivors whined so much about it. It would be better for the hatch to be gone completely for them to at least try to open the gates. EGC was just lazy and is a huge reward of survivors for playing bad.

  • @Hex_Stalk said:

No "DecReAse Da pOintS GainEd" Slow down the hook progression time the closer the killer is. Like seriously, all my matches today have been ending with someone else or myself getting camped. I understand camping when the doors are powered and no one is dead, but when there are 5 GENS LEFT!? This seriously needs to be discouraged. And no "It's LeGIt StrAteRgy" It ruins the game, you know, the thing you play? Can't play when the killer has trouble with the most basic of loops and decides to protect the hook like it's the goddamn holy grail.

Side note: Why are there so many ruins? Literally everyone from rank 20 to 8 are using ruin. Since when did it become THIS meta?

    There is already a punishment.

I mean I run we're gonna live forever as well on survivor. My point is BBQ is way easier to proc than WGLF realistically. Idk what survivors you're playing against, but it's generally not to hard to hook each one once unless you're playing a low tier.

WGLF is the same a bbq Realistically.

Yes those perks exist but you need to play them before you get into the game to use them. Making your point useless, one cant predict how game is going to end.

I dont understand why everybody is against it. In theory its hatch mechanic for killers? I dont see people trying to remove the hatch.

Instead of telling me how my idea is bad. Change my idea to something you think its going to do similar job. Its easy to point out whats bad, its hard find ideas.

I am actually not for it, I am just tired of the this is a party game excuse the devs and other users have made so I made my comment, but you made a good point it is a hatch for killers. So why do survivors get a hatch but killers don't.

  • @Fibijean said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/829492#Comment_829492

Do you want them to do it fast, or do you want them to do it well? Good, iterative design process takes time. If you rush a change out without really thinking about it, you're much more likely to just make things worse.

But even given their time frame it is not not right. Might as well rush it so the players can bug test it, because they don't know how to. They worry more about their other game and getting more paid stuff then fixing their own mess they sold the players on.

  • Haha, poor legion. He is like the dumpster baby that even the trashmen wouldn't take.

  • @Peanits said:

I'd be pretty strongly against this. As a killer, I'd be getting a pity kill no matter how poorly I'm doing. As a survivor, we'd be getting punished for doing well.

To throw a random scenario out there, what if you have an AFK killer? Someone's gotta' sacrifice themselves to someone who's literally not even playing the game just so the other three can move on. I wouldn't volunteer for that, I did nothing to deserve a loss, and I highly doubt the strangers you meet on the internet would jump at that opportunity either.

If it is a party game and not a competitive game like you have said, then what harm is it?

  • @Therealdrummer said:

Wow so punish groups for straight up playing the game? Here's another bad killer wanting the game to favor him even more than it already does lol

I play survivor and hate swf groups. They only concern themselves with their own groups and farm the rest.

  • Definitely the devs. They are like politicians with talking about stuff. You ask a question and they deflect it or outright ignore it.

  • Zero, there is no reason to.

  • @Peanits said:

How do you suggest we detect who's in voice chat and who's not? Scanning through someone's PC to see what programs they're using or monitoring their microphone is usually frowned upon, and it wouldn't stop you from whipping out your phone to voice chat or sitting in the same room as someone.

I like the idea of bonus bp for solo players. I solo and hate swf as they are not fun to play with. SWF is only fun for SWF.

  • @Hex_BoopTheSnoot said:

I'm actually okay with them ditching high effort Events in favor of game improvements. DBD still runs terribly on console.

To bad it will not be bug fixes but more stuff dealing with their new battle pass probably.

  • @gaydavidking said:

It may not seem fair to the people that "worked hard", and by worked hard I mean played a video game for a few hours, but what about the people that didn't have the time to put in for the events? What about the people who didn't even start playing until after the event?

It might not be a big deal that you couldn't earn these exclusive cosmetics right away if the events ever actually returned, but to be a new player and be told that there are certain cosmetics you can NEVER earn or buy simply because you missed an event or weren't playing back then? Now that doesn't seem fair to me.

    I agree.

Don't hold your breath on getting an answer. Behavior is like a politician, they will never give you a straight answer.

  • It is against the rules but so is dcing. Take that for what it is worth.

    @Wuhelm

I'm not posting it for you , I want the Devs to do something about this , obviously there's a Huge number of players farming esp around every event and Ruin the game and FYI I've already reported once but I' not gonna keep doing that to every killer farming I've met.

There needs to be certain measures taken to stop it from happening .

E.g - 20,000 Blood Points to all players if the match is found to be a Farming Game .

Freezing Blood point Gains for the next Match !

    #moderator @Devteam

So what you are saying is that you used the in game reporting feature to report him? If not, sucks for you, if you did why make another post about it, it screams "seeking attention".

  • @Hailoh said:

    Please don't start flame wars. @Wuhelm @KidDope25.

The perk should be buffed. Better perks on both sides will lead to a more diverse and healthier meta, which leads to an even more diverse and healthier game as a whole. Regardless of spending money or DLC, all perks have a right to be usable.

Perk should just be removed and the probelm solves itself.

I’ll use what I paid money for buddy. Stop trying to control other humans cause you didn’t like a second BT and got easily demolished a perk that was easily counter-able

Dude, you made a post to get attention and you got it. Then you got triggered when people didn't agree with you. Act like you're old enough to play the game and stop getting so triggered.

    1. Killer can just destroy the pallet causing the perk to be useless. I only had it in mind for when killers leave dropped pallets. 2. Grunts sure, movement I had in mind for extra stealth. Normal dying state crawling speed is slow af. 3. I'd use it. Low ranks are farming frenzies my dude. I'd rather die on a hook and kick a farmer in the face then allow a farmer to try and get points off of me.

    1. So punish killers. You must be new.

    3. You would be the only one to use this as it is solving a you problem.

  • @Raccoon said:

    Yes/No + Reason (optional)

Yes, it was very much needed. Now they need to balance it so that solos get grouped with similar ranks.

  • Number 1. No. It is way to overpowered.

Number 2. Is fine if it is don't move. Or when crawling makes grunting sounds like they are in dying status. Or make it so ot take 2-3 seconds to get into crawling and out of crawling.

Number 3. No. Is basically useless and very few would every use if ever.

  • @Hoodied said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/711938#Comment_711938

    Funny joke

I have gotten it to activate once

    How?

I farmed the actual hell out of survivors and took a hit directly after

    This perk is not okay

Then don't use it and move on. Real simple fella.

  • @KidDope25 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/710176#Comment_710176

Did you not comprehend anything I said? I’d be fine with the rework if the perk actually worked. It doesn’t work. No one can use it anymore cause it doesn’t register the stacks with protection hits or even register protection hits in general

Look man now you just sound triggered and looking for attention. Good luck with your poor investment.

  • @Attackfrog said:

Sometimes when 2 survivors dc, it can be fun to farm. Also during certain events, it's great and everybody wins.

killers and survivors can play How they want. If he wanted to farm, you could have taken advantage of the free bps and pips. Or you could dc. Or you could just take advantage of the free gens and escap e.

sort of a no brainer easy game for you...

Ya know some people just need attention, I guess he was lonely.

  • @FireHazard said:

Right when the update happened, I started a lobby and instantly it created one. Soon after I played my match and things went well, started up another match and BOOM INSTANT LOBBY!!!

Things are looking up now folks! THANK YOU BHVR!!! Now I don't have to wait 5 minutes+ each time for another lobby as Killer :DDD

Good for you, glad to see someone is not having problems. My wife on the other hand was trying to start a game a few times with a killer and gave up after 15 mins of not getting any games.

  • No you did not lose your money you spent it on a perk that was overpowered and it got rebalanced. You still have the perk it is just not what you want. Too bad. Games change, don't like it? Move to a new one. Simple really, but it looks like you were just seeking attention.

No it's not lmao. Surviviors dodge Moris killers dodge SWF.

Punish them both the same or don't punish them at all. I don't wanna sign up to play the game if my opponent is gonna use the most broken item in the entire game against my brown toolbox, thinking I'm running a godbox with BNP, forcing me to depip if I get hooked even once. And no, them not pipping isn't a fair cost for doing so.

I also don't sign up to first time doctor or plague against a 4 man SWF group running flashlights, Toolboxes with BNP, and Instaheals but at least I can anticipate that they're running good stuff.

No survivors DC to not play Mori not dodge. Killers dodge but there is nothing wrong with dodging. Stop making new rules.

That is the most naive statement I have ever read.

    Call of Duty

    Soulsborne

    League of Legends

    Overwatch

    Smite

And that's just off the top of my head most of these Communities makes the Dead by daylight community look like a bunch of saints that feed the homeless.

Yeah they are bad...but dbd is by far the worst. It is the nature of this game to have a bad community.

Hey he is upset, he lost his crutch and is finding it hard to walk without it. lol.

  • @PickCollins said:

Killers dodge SWF lobbies, flashlights, and toolboxes. Start punishing them as well

That is very different and you know it.

  • @Snort said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/707132#Comment_707132

I agree that the community can be so sucky at points and not at all fun for peole beggining to play, but thats more of the community more than the game,

we can add a system where you can upvote and downvote survivors and killers and if you just massively get downvotes you would get that Dunce icon (the one in the game files) next to your name that sorts you with other people that have the dunce icon,

So toxic people get toxic people, you may argue that you might get longer waiting times but like you said theres so many toxic survivors that I think the game would mostly split into non dunces lmao and dunces.

Just a suggestion, Im not the most experienced player so, I just play around too have fun and try to make the game as enjoyable as I can for survivors. (Killer Main)

That would be funny to make toxics play with each other. Then they can complain about each other. Ahh, the salt that they would generate would be astronomical!

  • Sounds typical for a lot of new players. Dbd is known to have the worst community in gaming after all.

  • @KidDope25 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/705202#Comment_705202

It doesn’t even work anymore. I’ve even gotten points for protection hits but not the stacks for MoM. It’s not fine it’s broke and doesn’t work

Should not have been in game to begin with. Was bad design from start. People just need to forget about it and move on, let it pass on into thewith the other useless perks

  • @Hailoh said:

M.o.M. recently got a well deserved nerf. It used to be impenetrable to M1 killers, and just plain annoying to killers overall.

But now it's on a similar level to Autodidact. where in VERY niche situations, in builds COMPLETELY based around the perk, it can have some use. I think that this could be done just a little bit better.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Mettle of Man

Evil has a way of always finding you.

After unhooking a survivor, taking a protection hit for the unhooked survivor 5/10/15 seconds after the unhook will activate Mettle of Man.

Once Mettle of Man is activated, a 60 second timer will start, and your aura will be briefly highlighted to the Killer. While the timer is active, you will be put into the Broken state.

Once the timer ends, the next hit that would put you into the dying state will be ignored.

If you are downed before the timer ends, Mettle of Man will deactivate.

Mettle of Man will only allow you to ignore one hit per match.

Increases your chances of being the Obsession.

The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This allows for a lot of counter-play on both sides. In this situation, the killer has to make a choice. Either:

a.) Hit the savior, and take a chance at activating Mettle of Man.

b.) Hit the saved survivor, and take a chance at activating Borrowed Time.

If they decide to hit the savior, they will be notified (hence the brief aura highlight), and will be encouraged to chase the savior further. If they fail to end the chase in 60 seconds, then they will be punished. If the savior can't be chased, then this perk is useless.

This acts as an anti-tunneling tool off of the hook, but it's in a really healthy way. It involves a lot of choices, a lot of strategy, and a lot of chases. This creates a little game within the game. How fast can you catch the savior?

It's a high risk, high reward scenario, it synergizes well with some perks (Borrowed Time comes to mind), but also doesn't synergize with others (Adrenaline on the saved survivor also comes to mind.). It counters one-shot downs (notice how you don't need to be in the injured state to ignore the hit), and has some major benefits, but it requires you to not get hit for 60 seconds (Not even Adrenaline can save you in this chase, as you are in the Broken state! Even more risk.). This is a perk that still needs to be set up, but can lead to some amazing benefits. It's not a perk that leads to a free escape, it's a perk that can lead to some really interesting moments on both the survivor and killer side.

I could really talk about this perk all day because I find it really interesting, and a really healthy buff to M.o.M. with lots of counterplay and strategy. But I'll leave that to you.

Also, a quick shoutout to @NMCKE, who (by pure coincidence) posted an idea to buff this perk that's actually really similar to mine just a couple hours ago. I only noticed it while I was writing down my ideas, so I couldn't pull much inspiration myself, but it's still another really cool idea regardless. A link to that post can be found [here].

    Let's get this perk changed!

MoM is fine the way it is.

    Name: Daniel O'Leary

    Age: 32

    Size: medium

    Weapon: kitchen knife

    Movement speed: 115%

    Terror Radius: standard

    Lore:

O'Leary was a man who loved his work. He owned a restaurant, was well known in is Brooklyn neighborhood, had friends galore... Each morning he opened his doors, he was greeted by the same familiar faces, all smiling happily to see him. His life was perfect.

But, as with all things, that changed. One day, when the local health inspector was making his rounds, he discovered a heafty nest of rats had formed in one of is walls. Not uncommon by the ports like he was, but bad enough to get him shut down. And this, he couldn't take. He had given everything for this place. His father worked himself to death in the shipyards to help him realize his dream. And now this one man was going to take it all away.

And so, he did the only thing he could. While the inspector had his back turned, he drew a freshly sharpened knife from the block and slit the poor bastard's throat.

As the rush of adrenaline left him, a mortal terror fell over him. He'd just killed a man. Without even flinching. And now, there was only a body left, draining like a gutted pig on his floor. He had to do something. Hide the evidence...

His friends praised and applauded him, congratulating him on this new "secret recipe", devouring every last scrap he served them.

It wasn't long before people began to turn up missing, starting with some of the younger ladies in the area. Eventually, the police followed the trail of evidence back to him, storming his home and business in the middle of the night. All they found that foggy morning was an abandoned restaurant, overrun with rats, spiders, and a cellar full of bleached, neatly piled bones.

    Power: Razor's Edge

The blade is to a chef as a paintbrush is to an artist, carving out a masterpiece in the kitchen. But only if it's properly maintained.

-At the start of the trial, your blade starts with 50% Sharpness.

-By holding down M2, you will begin sharpening your prized tool. This will fill the meter by 5%/sec., slowing your movement and decreasing your turn speed for the duration.

-while sharpening your blade, all scratch marks will flash brighter, making them linger for an extra 0.5 seconds.

-once the blade reaches 100%, your next strike on a survivor will leave them Mangled, as well making them bleed profusely and Hindering their movements until they manage to heal. This strike will reset the Sharpness to 50%.

-Striking a survivor will damage the blade by 15%, where as striking an object will damage it by 30%.

This is all I've got so far. If you guys like it, feel free to suggest any changes or add-on ideas for his power.

I really like the idea would be fun to play and against

If key's should remove than Ebony Mori's too. Come on you can't say those stuff aren't unfair sometimes

I don't feel the need to beat the dead horse like you seem to be wanting to do. These problems have been addressed hundreds of times in the forums and here you are complaining again about it. So I'm going to assume this isn't about the game and you're just seeking attention just like your other posts.

  • Rude? Your the rude one daily bashing the game. Grow up, you make one post after another complaining about something or another. Play the game or uninstall and wait for changes.

  • The people who do not want this are the toxic people that would have no one to play with solving alot of problems in one go. Stating people will be block for no reason does not matter as they do not want to play with you to begin withband will more than likely DC in game hurting others. If they abuse it then in the end they will have no one to play with. This should be implemented immediately. Remember people who do not want this are the ones that are toxic.

    I don't understand your point?

How does seeing someones profile help someone determine whether others are toxic? Killers mostly dodge "SWF" simply if the players load in together. Hiding profiles from the killers does NOTHING except stop killers targeting certain players.

the only one protecting toxicity is you.

You are a lost cause. Just get back to your Ochido marathon.

  • @Seanzu said:

What are you even talking about? lmao.

99% of dodges are based on items or suspecting people are swf.

what does seeing profiles do except for allow killers to be toxic and target people based on their hours or who they are, that is the toxicity, not the other way around, lmao.

As a killer they should choose the prey they are hunting. Not some toxic swf teabaggers looking to make a Youtube channel. Stop trying to hide yourself and be less toxic instead of imitating Ochido. Experience has shown killers what is fun. Most survivors only have fun tegbagging at pallet being toxic to both killer and survivors. Like a said allow players to blacklist those they do not want to play with and no more lobby dodging.
