I watch one person play DBD on Youtube and that's HybridPanda.
But, sure because I'm not a cry baby that understands seeing names has no benefit other than punishing people who play together or allow certain killers to target someone, I'm the toxic person.
Majority of people dodge based on Items, Character Being Played or... times they load in together (big fat lol on that one) there is no reason to see player names or profile, you can still counter players based on items because they aren't being hidden.
GG, you're upset, I get it, you like targeting players, you can be that guy but it's not something I advocate.
Sounds like alot if excuses for why you should be able to hide and play toxic. I am a survivor main and do not do the killer rituals as MOST survivors are obnoxious in this game. I wish I could never play with half the potatos I play with but I am forced to so I dodge survivors as a survivor. You asked for it and the killers responded. I can't blame them and I feel bad for them as a survivor main. Stop being toxic and this problem would not exist.

I'll say it again: When 3-4 people load in with theme-names & all the same items?
I dodge.
They don't have a right to ruin my game with their troll builds. And 9 times out of 10, that's what they are looking for. They don't want to win the game; they want to make sure I rage quit or have the worst game anyone has ever had, ever.
Hiding names. Hiding characters. Hiding items.
All these do is allow toxic SWF teams to run around treating the solo Killers like jokes and punching bags for their 'l33t uber 420 Bully The Killars SOMETHING AWESOME HAPPENS IF YOU SUBSCRIBE!' youtube montages & twitch streams.
Playing Killer is stressful enough WITHOUT giving the SWF toxic landfills an easier way to do their crap. And I'll fight (IE: Discuss! Not literally fight!) anyone on this point any day and every day.
Senzu follows toxic players on YouTube to mimic them in game that is why he wants names hidden.

I've played just as much killer as survivor, I'm just not a baby about it.
Allowing killers to scope out who they're playing and possibly harass certain players they don't like is inherently toxic.
There is not a single benefit to seeing player names/profiles passed that of harassing people you've been beaten by/have issues with.
Then allow a blacklist service so you do not have to play with past players and then lobby dodging will be minimized. Playing killer and survivor doesn't mean you are not toxic your statements reflect you are a player that is toxic.

Reading all these comments was tough.
"We kIlLeRs NeEd To PrEpaRe"
ok, hide the names and keep the items visible?
As for those "The reason killers dodge is the survivors fault"
I've loaded into a completely solo lobby and had the killer accuse me of being SWF in end game chat, so it's highly likely this assumption is made by killers that do dodge, and probably end up dodging solo/duo lobbies anyway.
Additionally, there used to be a time where killers would dodge for prestige characters, I'll apologise for the survivors right
Dear Killers
Survivors are SO sorry for putting time into their favourite character, they're SO sorry their bloody clothing is sometimes too intimidating.
smh, there's no reason a killer should be able to scope out everyones profile before they play, I'm completely OK with killers wanting to dodge for things in game but letting them judge who to play based on their profile or hours is silly.
Toxic player alert.

@LawrenceGordon said:
Why don't we just flat out remove killers from the game? That's what you filthy survivor mains want.
Dodging is 100% their own fault and now they want to punish killers for problems they created.

I realise it has been edited, but still:
Killers should be able to see what they're up against. Many perks (lightborn, Hangman's Trick etc) are incredibly niche as it is, and only really affect a singular aspect of the game. The killer can only bring 4 perks vs a team of 16 perks and 4 potential items, and taking away information like that turns very rare perks into non-existent ones. On top of that, nothing a killer can bring 100% counters items. Lightborn changes the timing for a save and makes blinding at pallets poor, but there is still function there.
From there, we move onto lobby dodging. I don't believe lobby dodging should ever be punishable. While some people are very "Yeah, let's force everyone to deal with 4 mans or punish them!" There's more important parts to lobby dodging. I live in Australia for instance, and depending on the time it can take quite a while to find survivors who don't have red ping when it chucks SEA players in, and many of them will ready up, even though it will be an unfun experience for both of us.
Then there is 4 mans, and in smaller communities, you can get matched with the same 4 man god squads 3-4 times in a row if you don't dodge them, and wait until they're in a lobby. It simply isn't reasonable to add a punishment to a situation like that, and it would drive away some players, even just in the sense of playing less often.
I support this message

@PigNRun I agree, which is why I think that allowing survivors to see who the killer is in advance is a bad idea. At this point I'm thinking that it would be best to just implement a better system for punishing people who dodge on the basis of their opponent's build, killers and survivors alike.
I am fine with this if everyone gets an option to blacklist players so you never have to play with them again. If you are against it then your the toxic one and the system will weed you out. The game will sort itself out this way and everyone will be happy, the only ones that won't are the toxics. I am a survivor main and the my biggest complaint is other survivors. I would rather 1v1 the killer then play with most of these toxic survivor potatos.

Another biased killer main. Good to know to ignore you in the future, thanks.
Good to know that you are a biased survivor that is new to the game and is QQIng on the forums instead of learning to adapt to the game. Btw I only play survivor because of toxics like you.

i aren't offended, the whole point was killers are meant to be scary, not about to do a magic mike routine rolls eyes so yeah.
Scary is subjective, if you do not like it move on.

So dont play?? Good luck in your other games.

Jesus, I main survivor and could not agree more. No in their mind they earned it and are entitled to win the game with no challenge. I rarely if ever get downed by NOED but they make it seem like it is the most powerful thing in the world. Hell EGC made hatch camping even worse so now survivors don't even rescue if they found hatch and you are on hooked. Survivors are far more toxic than killers by a large margin and want an ez game.
-
I am fine with longer hook time....but now all hits are insta-downs and survivors get no way to unhook...see I can sound stupid like the OP. Come man grow up people like you should not be playing the game as there are easier games for you like My Little Pony Adventures(Good luck with that one though I heard it is neigh impossible to beat).

Don't worry they will give her the legion treatment to solve the problem once and for all.

You need to find a new game if you are offended by a shirtless killer. As long as it sells, that is all that matters. So bugger off.

It's not that I cant play her..I just dont think a killers power should be survivors to control..i hate that the price for making her just an old freddy is well..not very punishing...
Your not alone I am a survivor main and lol when I have to face her. She is just so easy to counter and I agree when I see survivors running the map unafraid there is a problem that needs to be work. Her power should have a timer like deep wounds but a little longer to force a cleanse or be downed.
-
@xmenfanatic said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/628812#Comment_628812
Because it makes you run around the map, to very specific locations that the killer can see illuminated. and once a survivor uses that fountain, the plague gets a warning of where that survivor is on the map because the fountain turns red. And then you can drink from the fountain and hit that survivor with a ranged attack.
Her power is built for that purpose, and is effective. If you aren't able to wield her power appropriately then I'm sorry. But it isn't an issue with her. Her power is made with a specific play style in mind. It just means you aren't willing to adapt or aren't good with her as a character. You like how she looks, but not how she is played. It doesn't mean she needs to change. She's a fun and effective killer to play if used correctly.
Plagues power is crap and easily negated. I main survivor and I am relieved when it is her we are facing. Her vomit should have a longer deeps wound status to force cleansing.
-
Yeah SoS is fine the way it is. Just be patient.
-
I did, it was pointless and just another QQ change on a skill that is fine the way it is.
-
Nothing is wrong is current DS it is a waste to talk about when we have so many other issues. DS is working and most player are very happy with the change.

It was dumb because we played dumb.
We could have ignored it & powered through it. The Killer was sticking near his totem because WE stuck near his totem.
WE PLAYED BAD.
The game was not broken. Totems did not need a new spawn. It was not unfair that the Trapper did what the trapper DOES, which is deny area.
So no, it does not prove your point. Your point is invalid. You are wrong. The totem spawns do not need to be maid brainless so you can break the totem whenever you want.
You. Are. Wrong.
Damn smartest comment of the day! First post I read today for taking responsibility for a mistake instead of looking for others to blame, damn we need more like you in solo survivors.

You still fail to see the point.
It's not about winning. It's about the totem being almost invincible. What if it was Devour? Or NOED? I wouldn't have much of a choice but to cleanse it.
I hope a Trapper uses this on you guys someday soon and you see my side.
No, you fail to see the point. You had a bad match we do at some point, but now you are screaming for nerfs because you failed to strategize properly. Grow up man it is a game and all the crying in the world is not going to make you a better player. If you had spent this time learning the game better instead of QQing the forums this would not longer be a problem for you.
-
Or people unlocked his perk and moved on to other characters? Come on man QQ elsewhere as the devs had answered this numerous times.

You're not going to disarm and sabo 3 traps before he has the chance to come back. That's a full chase and a half. He will stop you.
It's clear by everyone's response here that none of you know what I'm talking about. Wait until a Trapper pulls this on you, I promise your tune will change when you see how dumb this setup it.
Most of us have had this happen but instead of crying like a toddler we adapted and I bet most of us won that match. If you do not like a challenge and want a game that even simpler that this simple game already is there are easier games like My Little Pony Adventures.

I had a trapper pull it on me on The Spirit's map.
Guess what we did? Powered through and continued to play.
Guess what we did NOT do? Come onto the forums & whine that totem placements needing to change because of ONE match in 133 hours of playing.
It is crazy that the OP is so entitled, he is just QQing because he wants an easy match and acts like no one has ever ran into this before. Funny thing is most of us have and it was the easiest thing to counterplay.
-
Think of the window clearance like real life. I can still reach through the window to get you if you are close enough. If you got hit you did not get clear of the killers reach.
-
I main survivor and never understood the hate over NOED. You have to be caught for it to work. The problem I see is my fellow survivors thinking they are superman and running down the center of the map to open gate with no regard to concealment. I mean most of the time survivors are running all around the map like there is nothing to be afraid of, I mean come on this is a survival horror game they need to act like it.

Yea I would imagine this would completely solve the issue of a survivor that DC's to give another hatch. They would just stay slugged in one spot or whatever the case may be. As long as you don't kill them the hatch can't spawn.
Leaving a husk that can be hooked would solve the problem of dcers as long as the husk counts as a slug with the remainder of the slug life left. So if person was downed and immediately dced that husk would have full die time left.
-
I agree changing the name to something more inline with the consequence. Instead of Exposed how about unprotected or something like that?

@blue4zion said:
Bad idea for killers, it'll boost dodging for sure. I know there are killers out there that if they can avoid swf, they will.
For the solos, probably a good idea.
So what if it boost killers dodging. I main survivor and I hate playing with swf too. Killer and survivor should both have a heads up when play with swf. Only way to fix this is to have a lobby for swf only and another that swf cannot join. The game will balance itself out then.

So your upset because the game isn't easier for you? I mean come on man go do gens and stop screwing your team by wasting time. If it is trapped disarm them and when he comes back to arm them it means he is not patrolling gens...jesus use common sense.

I thought this was serious, but you are just trolling. Move everyone only a troll here.

@HasNoLuck said:
The point the first post is trying to make is that healing by yourself and not repairing a gennie makes the game run longer, which makes your chance of being found increased. As previously stated, a good time to heal is while someone is being chased, that way you have less of a chance to be found. It all depends on your play style, but there are smarter ways to do things sometimes. Do the generators fast, decrease the chance of being caught, get out, and thats usually it. There are gonna be a few people who don't wanna waste 30 minutes on a match and end up losing because no one repaired anything and just used Self-Care.
That is something you have to accept when you join as a solo player. People are entitled to play the game the way they see fit, your opinion is meaningless. If you do not like the way others play run only in survive with friends and your problem it solved. I have seen more people use the rush gens, no sc then follow up with a hook and die as they run around the map like an injured chicken with their head cut off not contributing to gens. Most people I see running no sc have the lowest scores, showing they contributed little to the match. People sc in the corner is not the problem. The problem is not adapting to the players you are playing with in a multiplayer game.
-
@SoylentPixie said:
You don't get to dictate how other people play. It's really as simple as that.
You can b*tch about it, you can rant on the forums, but that's about it. People will do things their way and you will do things your way. You have reasons for not using self care just as the have reasons for using it.
Blaming self care users for people for losing matches is ridiculous, there are three other survivors present, take responsibility for your own actions. Some people don't want to gen rush and choose to play the cautious game.
You might not like it, but it's not up to you to decide whether a perk is worthwhile for OTHER people to use.
He has a hard time understanding it is a multiplayer game and the people he is playing with have their own goals. I think the op just want everyone to play by his even narrower rules invisible rule book.

As it is i DC off a 100% of the game killer has a mori. I main killer and i dont use them for a reason and when i do use them, i use them on third hook so that the survivor would have been dead on hook anyways. This is honestly the way it always should have been. Having a mori work after first hook is just plain stupid
Y
So you DC to screw your teammates. You loose all credibility when you say you are a dcer.

Why?
If you are bringing red mori you dont even need perks or addons.
Because when killer brings red mori it means gg.
Unless they suck horendously.
So is bringing a new part, instaheal etc.

None of these are toxic except for teabagging. Just like tunneling, camping and slugging is not toxic. Only teabagging is toxic when it is done by a survivor to a killer or the few killers that can do it to a survivor.

you sure you’re not the child here?
And far more people are fed up with people like you who try to dictate how people should play. Grow up and play the game, stop acting like a child that is not getting their way. and yes, i do know how to loop thank you very much. stop being hurt just because a perk you run is garbage, just be real and accept it lol
self care was a good perk before the nerf. not anymore
Dude your whole post is QQing about survivors that use sc. Grow up and play the game the way you want and stop bitching that people are not playing your way. Stop the qq and play the game. you sound bitter, re-read the thread and realise a majority of the people are saying self-care is a complete waste of time.
it really makes me laugh seeing the amount of people self-caring whilst on hook or with empathy/bond
Your the guy that was on the hook not able to loop killer. Your post is one big QQ. Git Gud and stop blaming others for your shortcomings.
-
I will stop SC when the 99% potato survivors learn to play. They complain about not being rescued and are proud that they ran the killer for 10 secs before being downed. Then their potato ass gets saved and they run off without self care and a few minutes later that potato is back on the hook. OP sounds like the person who is on the hook alot and is jealous they cannot be better at the game so lets bring other survivors down to his level. I win most games than I lose because I watch out for myself, if i had to babysit the potatoes too there is no way the killer would not 4k every game. OP play the game your way and stop bitching about how others play their game.
