As a console nurse main, i sometimes turn off crossplay just to target some console players who arent used to nurse. <3
Oml you are evil. But I'm curious how do you even manage to play nurse on console? Controlling her with a controller is practically impossible for me.

@Xendritch said:
I never see Nurse or Blight, it's how I know my mmr with survivor is probably quite average and I'm 100% okay with that.
Yep! I'm pretty sure it's because of my extremely average mmr that I never see any of the two. I've been playing Dead by daylight for about 3 years now and I haven't gone against more than 10 blights lol. He seems so fun to go against whenever I do happen to have him so I'm kinda sad
-
Yes! I want my time to play with iron will and spine chill before they become practically useless :(
-
Absolutely. I got my 13 year old sister to start playing sometime during quarantine so I think she was around 12. She plays with some of her friends that are around her age too.
-
A masterpiece if I do say so.
-
I feel you man, usually when I know I'm abt to absolutely destroy a team my morals get the best of me and I just play nice. It's not fun playing nice and I need to stop but I just feel so bad killing them.

He's like the Walmart version of pyramid Head. Ihate going against both but at least pyramid Head has his long attack which is actually fun to dodge. I would rather go against any other killer than nemesis.

Make it where a bar fills up when you hit survivors in frenzy and when the bar fills up you get one frenzy where you can down survivors.

@WormMilk I really don't think it would make games any more stressful for anyone. In fact, it might make some games less stressful because some people might actually put down their meta, game-changing perks to equip more, less-powerful ones that might not even have a noticeable effect.
@MadLordJack Ya it really shouldn't affect game stability but this is BHVR we're talking about... Also second chance perks and slowdown perks would have a 3 point value so you can't stack any more than you already can.
@Generic The devs will never give some players more perk slots than others so it's not even worth discussing.
I saw someone else saying this and I agree with them, one killer perk isn't accompanied by one survivor perk, it's accompanied four. If we added another perk slot it would be 20 perk vs 5, that is an unbelievablely unfair thing. It would most certainly be alot more stressful for the killer if they had to deal with four extra perks no matter how good or bad they are. This game is already survivor sided so adding this would just contribute to this greatly. Still a fun idea but it would absolutely not work in the grand sceam of things.
-
Man idc what yall say, if I don't have light born equipped I am not going against 4 Claudettes with flashlights.
-
Hag, Huntress or Trapper. Hag and Trapper are just soaked in blood which is real cool and Huntress just looks real fitting with the blood. I also love the way its so bright on her mask
-
Maybe in custom games, that would be cool but sounds like it would be alot more stressful for survivor and especially killer. All in all a cool idea but to actually go through with it would be a bad idea.
-
I don't play killer enough to find any survivor perks that bad to go against so dead hard maybe? But for survivor I HATE going against ruin, it wasn't bad at first but then I got it over and over and over again and it's just really annoying.

The Mistress
Name: TBD
Speed: 4.6 m/s | 115%
Height: Average/Tall
Terror Radius: 24 meters
Power: Ravenous Lust
Ability: Seductive Trance
Press and hold the Power Button for at least 3 seconds to charge Seductive Trance. Release, while aiming at any nearby (within 10 meters and 45 degree cone, with no obstruction) survivor(s), to force the survivor(s) into a Trance (taking 5 seconds to fully fall into it, if fully charged; 6-7 seconds if 75%, 8-9 if 50%, 10-11 if 25%, 12-15 if <25%.).
Survivors that are falling into a trance can perform the snapping out action (12 seconds, base) on themselves to prevent themselves from truly falling into the trance, however while doing the snap out action the, survivor will still continue falling into the trance (charge is greater than 25%, the survivor is guaranteed to fall into the trance before the snap out action is finished, canceling the action).
Once fully tranced, the afflicted survivor will be incapacitated and hindered (by 10%), while additionally having their screen (fov) become hazy and dark, made worse if not looking directly at the Mistress.
Survivors are broken from their trance if:
- The survivor is put into the dying health state or inflicted with deep wounds.
- Another survivor who is not tranced performs a snap out of it action (12 seconds, base) on the afflicted survivor.
- The afflicted survivor uses a black mirror.
2 Black mirrors will spawn in the trial and can be used by a tranced survivor to snap out (18 seconds, base). Once used, it will shatter alerting the Mistress of the survivor’s location via killer instinct for 4 seconds. Shattered mirrors cannot be used by a survivor again for 90 seconds.
Special Ability: Shattered Love
The Mistress can press the Power Button while aiming at a nearby (within 10 meters, with line of sight) shattered mirror to activate Shattered Love for 30 seconds or until the Mistress is stunned by any means.
While Shatter Love is active, the Mistress moves at 120% movement speed or 4.8 m/s and has a map-wide terror radius. They are unable to trance survivors; however, attempting to trance a survivor (even if they are already tranced) will instead freeze them and prevent them from moving or performing any interaction for 3 seconds. Additionally, the Mistress is not slowed while charging Lovely Punishment and Lovely Punishment will instantly trance any survivor that it hits if not tranced or falling into a trance already.
The shattered mirror used will then instantly become a black mirror, disregarding the current duration left while shattered.
Special Attack: Lovely Punishment
Press and hold the Secondary Power Button to charge Lovely Punishment. Once fully charged (2.5 seconds), press the Attack Button to throw your scissors. The scissors will injure all survivors that it passes through, and inflict dying on any that are tranced.
Upon canceling Lovely Punishment, you do not suffer any attack cool down or penalty; however, you are also unable to attack or use Lovely Punishment again for 10 seconds if the scissors are thrown (Lovely Punishment Attack Penalty).
[During the Attack Penalty, the Mistress will not have her scissors in her hand, however, once over, it will reappear with a black smoke animation fading it in. Before which, the scissors will be seen at any point which it landed fading into the said black smoke.]

- Moderately (~10 seconds, base or -33% augmented) decreases the duration of Shattered Love.
Soft Rope [Very Rare]
A rope safe for adult play. It’s high-quality feel adds to the experience as well.

Cinnamon Mint [Common]
Spicy and refreshing, my favorite flavor.
- Slightly decreases the speed to snap out of a trance (-15%).
Wedding Band [Common]
The symbol of our vows, oh how they were broken so fast.
- Moderately increases the charge speed of Seductive Trance (+10%).
Cheap Perfume [Common]
Sickly sweet and smells of nothing in particular. A big waste of money.
- Reveals the range of Seductive Trance.
- Slightly increases the effective range of Seductive Trance (+2 meters or +20%).
Perks:

NEW KILLER: THE ICE QUEEN
LORE:
Adelaide Snowe never knew what love was. Heiress to a billion dollar fortune, she was raised by a strict nanny who insisted she grow up to be a proper young lady. It was this, perhaps, that led her to falling in love with her ski instructor -- a young man named Henry. Adelaide and Henry spent years together, as he taught her a love of ice and love of another human being. Her father never approved, but Adelaide didn't care. She wanted to marry Henry.
On the night of her engagement, Adelaide spent the evening with her friends celebrating the occasion at the Ski Resort where Henry worked. When everyone went home for the night, she went to find Henry -- only to find him in bed with a woman staying at the resort. Henry had her and her boyfriend as students earlier that day. Daggers in her eyes, she confronted him. Henry chased her out into the snow. Adelaide threatened to leave him, and the two struggled. A light shove one way, and Adelaide fell off the cliff. It wasn't the fall that killed her, though. She landed in a snow drift, left there by her now ex-fiance.
The bitter cold made her shiver. She thought rescue crews would arrive shortly. But they never came. As hypothermia set in, a fog set in. It was an invitation. A calling for revenge... and maybe something more. Adelaide's body was never found.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/XLICZQ5QPB7J/icequeen.png
(Note: I do not own this image, but found it to fit the idea of what she might look like)
PERKS:
Ice Water Veins
- You're at your best when under pressure. Every time a generator pops, you receive 3 tokens up to 8/10/12 tokens. When you kick a generator, spend a token. The generator will lose 15% progress instantly.
Cooldown
- When things heat up, you know how to keep it cool. Your other perks will cooldown 20/25/30% faster.
Ice Sight
- If you've been out of chase for 40/35/30 seconds, you will see the aura of all survivors more than 40 meters away for 4 seconds.
POWER
FROSTBITE -
The Ice Queen can throw ICICLES at survivors. These do not damage survivors, but instead increase their cold level. Survivors inside the Ice Queen's terror radius also (slowly) increase their cold level. Survivors can decrease their cold level by going to one of Four Fire's around the map. It takes 5 seconds per level (up to 15 seconds) to reduce cold level to 0.
Effects of Cold Levels:
Level 1 - Survivor shivers (sounds are as loud as survivor grunts of pain with Iron Will TIer 1)
Level 2 - Survivors suffer from a 5% speed penalty and a 10% repair speed penalty
Level 3 - Survivors are exposed. If Injured, they become broken.
Ice Queen throws Icicles similar to the way Trickster throws blades, but she doesn't have to reload.
Additionally, Ice Queen can use her icicles on Generators to cause them to raise the survivor's Cold Level as they work on them. (Similar to Plague's vomit)
ABSOLUTE ZERO
The Ice Queen's Secondary Ability Absolute Zero builds up as Survivors use campfires to reduce their cold level. When used, Absolute Zero will instantly raise the cold level of all survivors within her terror radius by 2 levels. Absolute Zero also causes all Camp Fires to be put out, requiring survivors to restart them (Takes 10 seconds)
Mori
Adelaide impales the survivor with an icicle, straight through the heart.
INFO
Speed: 4.6 m/s
Gender: Female
Ethnicity: Swiss
Terror Radius: 24 Meters
Height: Tall
This is definitely my favorite one yet

Depends, sometimes I'll just be joking around and like boop the killer or do something funny and they won't hurt me after but continue to go after my teammates. Sometimes the killers just takes a liking to a certain survivors and dbd truly wouldn't have any good wholesome moments without teaming with the killer.

Amazing community 100% but also extremely negative

Why do y'all need to make every thing so negative? I have never seen a community as negative as dbd. Just for once enjoy the game! Enjoy the quotes! Y'all say the game is so bugged and horrible but waste your days playing it.

Fun: Nurse, Clown, Legion, Twins, Doctor, Trickster, Trapper, Spirit.
Boring: WRAITH, Billy, Plague, Pyramid Head, ghost face.
All the others I don't have a strong opinion on
-
For the longest time, like I mean a LONG time I didn't know what Oni, Legion, Clown, Myers, or ghost face power actually did. Like I knew the basics but I would sit there and let ghost face stalk me because I didn't know what he was doing.
-
A big misunderstanding in my opinion is what a win truly is, people like that Claudette are going to get like MAX 10,000 bp, probably 6000-7000 tho. If you escape a match while being useless the whole game the only "win" you truly got was making your team and the killer mad, you got emotions for your win pretty lame if you ask me. Now if your the survivor doing stuff like healing, chasing, gens, ect your going to walk out of there with a good amount of bp. And at the end when it ranks the survivors on how many bp they got they'll be at the bottom which is pretty embarrassing because everyone will know you did nothing the whole game. Having the escape symbol next to your name and still being at the bottom of the rank is extremely sad. Yes escaping is fun and your main goal but if that's all your aiming for the whole game then your games will get more and more boring as you keep on playing and aiming for nothing but to escape. That Claudette will either A, quit playing dbd all together because she'll get bored of hiding and escaping or B, change her ways and be a normal player.

Realistically: take away fatigue all together, or instead of making it an add on to be able to break pallets when sliding over them make it automatic (those two wouldn't work well together tho because people would just go into frenzy to break pallets faster so one of the two)
What I would love to see but it's too much too ask for: Make it where they can go to a locker and can "change clothes" and dress like a survivor, but in order to do this you need to have hit them in frenzy before. When your in disguise you have no terror radius and can vault and slide over pallets but that's it so no repairing gens, cleansing totems, ECT. When geting out of disguise you have a five second stun.
-
He shouldn't get a speed boost after uncloaking and I stand by that. It basically takes away the fact that he slows down alot when uncloaking because he gains all the distance back when getting the speed boost. I liked the old wraith, he was a bad killer but not every killer needs to be good. He was basically invincible to new players who didn't pay attention and thats what I liked abt him.
-
It's a simple killer that doesn't require much skill. They go fast which is VERY enjoyable might I say and even if frenzy can't down a survivor you can always get your first hit on a survivor and put them in the injured state. My rake never goes up so I'm always playing against pretty bad players (or new I can't really tell sometimes) and they don't know what legions power can do so they'll drop a pallet really early and it's so fun just sliding right over it and seeing them freak out. To be quite honest before I started playing legion I had no clue what their power was so I would freak out whenever I played against them too and they aren't very exciting or interesting to go against so not many people bother to even check what their power is.

The in-between of nice and mean players is disappearing quickly, Tuesday I made a new friend who I've been playing with Non-Stop, had tons of friendly killers and just good sport players. No problem and glad to be of help. Just be prepared for your friend to still not click with DbD. The game isn't for everyone. Even with a slow tutoring, low gear games, he/she might not get into it. Just let me know and we will work out logistics. The EVENT starts tomorrow and bear in mind that every match you spend in Custom Games will be matches you are losing out on the Event stuff, so you might want to do your thing with your friend "after" the event, or at least after you have earned all the stuff at the event you want.
Almost forgot about the event, good idea.

Nurse and pig could be up in the yay but it really depends on the player

Bill, that man always has your back.

Claudette, I am obsessed with her outfits. No matter how much I love Meg the only good outfit she has is the tennis one and her starting outfit.
-
I think some people are taking this a bit too seriously
-
I 100% agree! I'm also a survivor main but after playing killer a bit I realized how hard it is! When your survivor you have your team to depend on but as killer you rely on your own skill alone. One good survivor can reck the whole game for the killer so I do truly think killer is harder.
-
I think that it would definitely be survivor sided due to the fact they could all swarm a killer trying to hook someone but at the same time that would be pretty hilarious.

And you can look for the hex while doing gens.
Locate NOED while doing gens?
You do know how NOED works, right?
Also back on to what you were saying about "stoping the timer while the killer is near" what if a survivor was hiding by the hook and the killer KNEW that they were hiding but couldn't do anything about it
It's the same concept as 'what if the killer gets looped around the hook?'.
If you get looped that long, or if you spend that much time trying to find a hidden survivor and failing, do you really deserve to win? This is a really killer-centric viewpoint where you believe a killer should have an inalienable right to prevent an unhook, even if the survivor they're facing is outplaying them.
And ofc I'm gonna say it's an easy strategy to counter because it is.
That's missing the point.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2256953#Comment_2256953
So far, the idea hasn't been very complex. Slow the hook progression if the killer is too close to the hook, unless the killer is in a chase or the fifth gen is done. Shouldn't be too hard to signify either, we have a UI element for the hookstate progression that's visible to both survivor and killers, you can plant the info there.
And it's not like there's no other unexplained game mechanisms. Bloodlust was never declared in the tutorial, neither is the co-op repair speed penalty. Which is confusing marked with a fast forward icon.
DOESN'T EVEN STOP A TRUE TOXIC FACE CAMPER
Here's the thing: Solo play exists. Without coordination and communication, it's actually not unlikely for camping to be effective because the timing is way more narrow than people like to pass it off as. Most campers still secure more than one kill because you can't communicate to teammates that they need to split off onto other gens and rush it out. Even if everyone knows how to handle camping, if they're not fast enough on figuring out that the killer is camping, that's an extra kill. If they don't know about co-op penalties, that's an extra kill. And if the hooked survivor is dead before the fifth gen is done, that could even be a 3-gen due to reckless genrushing.
People are saying it's very easy to counter, and on an individual level it is. But every single teammate needs to know this too and even then there's some pitfalls that can cost you too much time.
Yes, there's toxic facecampers that will never be dissuaded. But there's also plenty of campers that do it because, down the line, there's a big bracket of ranks where it is an effective strategy.
And this also ignores the other aspects of the game that are held in a stranglehold by camping, as mentioned before. Can't slow down gen speeds as long as camping is a thing, after all.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2257002#Comment_2257002
it's a tool that is available equally for all players to utilize if they choose to use it.
That is not an argument that holds water in regards to balance or gameplay design, as it would've allowed old DS as well.
Again, if all killers were to start camping, the game would be dead within a week.
Ok what your all saying at this point is all honestly jumbling around in my head. Camping is a a strategy, a good strategy in certain situations. Just because a strategy is good does not mean it should be taken away. If we take away camping the killer mains be coming after survivors strategys next. You CAN overcome camping, I understand it might not be the easiest thing for all people but it isn't going to be taken away anytime soon. I know you don't like me saying how easy camping can be to overcome but it truly is. If you take the time to learn how to beat it you'll see that camping is a strategy you'll look forward to because it will be easy to beat.
-
I really wish that there was. I don't understand why people are complaining that people would complain in end game chat like... Duh. That what people do, to discuss the game good or bad, it's not fair that the majority of players can't communicate with people cross platform and people on switch can communicate at all.
