Ds is currently too strong by his last definition of "anti-momentum" perk
Out of the loop, when was this "definition" changed?
-
That could turn out to be broken af. Well placed traps can totally shut down a loop, if they couldn't be disarmed it would be very easy for the killer to shut down an entire area of the map and defend it with little counterplay possible.
-
Yeah the grind is becoming huge. I like to have all perks on all killers to be able to experiment builds, and since the Blight came out I finished just recently to get his perks on all killers. Now it's already coming another one so I'll have to start over again.
It almost feels like getting perks is the end-goal, but imo it should be an intermediate passage.
-
I'm sure everyone who gets one-shotted by a frenzied Legion would DC in the blink of an eye.
-
No, maps' randomness is what gives this game the longevity and replayability it has.
-
Little advice: stop caring. If the survivor taunts you it doesn't affect you in any way gameplay-wise.
-
Never seen someone using a mori without toxic intents.

Can't be mad at a gentleman

bEhAvIoUr doing [BAD WORD] like this
You mean doing what all the community wanted? I really don't see want's the problem here.
-
As you rank up it will become less and less effective. Sure you might get a potato team once in a while, but in general you'll just waste everyone's time.
Also, this is a game and as such you primary concern should be having fun, not win. Stop caring about winning and you'll enjoy the game more.
-
There is nothing wrong with slugging.
-
Or at least I try...
-
He's already got a rocket laucher, what does he need the chainsaw for?
-
I'm extremely good at hitting the skillcheck... the first time that it appears. Then I turn into a potato and miss it almost everytime.
-
Is it really useful to kidnap the gremlin? You can't do gens or heal, you're basically afk just to spite the killer who btw still moves at 4.6 m/s so it's not that they aren't a threat.
-
I disagree. Chases are the core of the game, simply because it's in chases that there is interaction between players. As a survivor I prefer stealth over chases, but still a match without at least a good chase is a boring one. Not to talk about the killer pov, spending a lot of time trying to find someone to chase (= to play with) is extremely boring.
-
It's an interesting theory, but I think it's true only for some. For example in Bill's lore it explicitly says all he ever wanted was an enemy to fight, so he probably enjoys the realm.
Others like Jake or Laurie just have a very strong survival instinct, so they don't care in what situation they are, they just want to survive somehow.

there's one problem with that theroy.
if survivors enjoy being hunted down, how can the Entity feed on their hope? not to mention that the survivors will eventually become emotionless shells and end up in the Void, so I'm sure they are suffering and not enjoying it.
I mean, I do understand some people in who would like to fight, but there are many others who seemed scared in this realm.
I'm not sure when it was changed, but it's now knowledge that the Entity doesn't feed just off hope, but any strong emotions.

Alien hands down.

About the height of the second floor of a Haddonfield house.

Probably around 11am ET

I love all the changes you propose, props to you!
-
I actually like to use them as time sinks for survivors.
-
As far as I know they removed the 50% repair progress requirement. I've been using it on Leatherface and so far no one was able to use their exhaustion perks when I found them repairing gens.
-
A parasyte from Kiseijū would be interesting to see in DbD.
-
Are we acting as if flashlights have never been nerfed?
-
Camaraderie for me. I fail to see a situation where this perk could make the difference. I'd rather use No Mither than Camaraderie.
-
Actually it's kinda easy. Just stop open it before the first light turn on (at about 25%), wait for the killer to check, and then resume from where you left. The gate area is made so that the killer can't check them from afar, so unless they have very good mobility you have the time to open it.
-
People don't have a hivemind with one common will, you know?
-
On paper he looked like fun, in reality it was possibily the most frustrating experience you could have as a killer.
-
I'm saying this mostly from the perspective of a killer
Yeah for some reason I already knew before I read it. Try being a high rank survivor playing with low rank potatoes. It's not fun at all, just extremely frustrating.

I'm pretty sure they might be referencing this. Although, I do wish for Buffs for the cute Demo.
Don't know why but this makes me think a legendary skin for Steve to become Dustin

The Lightbringer emblem already tracks how many gens get repaired while you're in a chase and give you some progress for that.
-
Damn I loved that "feature", it was great to relax the right hand and maybe do something else while repairing.

One of the biggest gripes that I have with undying is its aura reading feature. That alone makes it hard enough to actually get a hex out of the game combined with the fact that the hex will then just get moved to another totem is just pretty annoying. If the aura reading was removed I feel like fewer people would mind the perk.
But then that would bear the question: What should change with each perk tier?
I agree, the respawn mechanic is already strong enough, personally I would add that aura reading to Hex: Retribution. To answer your question, maybe it could have a limited number of respawns which increases with the tier, for example 2/3/4.
-
OoO will always get you tunneled. If you can't loop, you're dead, if you can, prepare for some ######### talk in the chat. Definetly do not recommend.
-
RBTs are not meant to kill, but to stall. Besides, that would just make Pig extremely unfun for solo players and on big maps.
-
Defilement (name pending)
The taste for blood awakens the hooks, making them longing for more. When a survivor is hooked, the hook becomes Defiled. Each time a survivor is hooked on a Defiled hook they receive a penalty to action speed for a duration proportional to the time left to the next stage, up to 60s.
The idea of this perk is to give incentives to non-camping and non-tunneling killers.
-
Yes, for a perk (now) designed to pick up downed survivors it's weird that doing that doesn't give stacks.
-
I'm thorn between Claudette and Meg, but more inclined towards Claudette.
-
Have you ever tried wearing a mask made of leather? That thing is hot!
-
Because most survivors don't like to just rush gens and get out, they want interactive gameplay., Besides, basement Bubbas are guaranteed to use NOED, so even if they repair all gens there are high chances that the killer will get them with NOED and camp them too. All considering, it's better to try get some points, die, and move on to the next match.
-
I have the opposite experience, I love playing both sides but find survivor way more frustrating than killer.
-
Myers imo is the embodiment of balance, I didn't even think someone could find difficult to get out of T1. In T3 his vaulting speed and lunge range make him way better than a standard M1 killer. He could use QoL changes, but a buff? I don't think so.
@Gorgonzola said:
The biggest issue with Myers is that he is extremely outdated and boring. There's no reason to really play him when there's Ghostface, Plague or Oni (I consider those killers to be all better versions of Myers, but in different ways). I guess people play gim because they like the character or because he's so meme popular.
That is just a matter of personal taste. I prefer Myers to Ghosface since the former doesn't give a ######### if a survivor is looking at him, and literally the only thing in common with Oni and Plague is the ability to down healthy survivors, his gameplay feels completely different.
-
I don't think it's unbalanced though. Before you could use the power only if you were 100% sure it would land, because otherwise the survivor had the time to go to Narnia before you were able to move again, and as an attack it is pretty telegraphed so it isn't rare for survivors to dodge. That is what lead killer to use the fakes more than the actual power. Now that the killer is not punished so harshly there is more interaction with the survivor, and that is good.
-
Definetly improving, albeit slowly
-
I played him all the evening yesterday and I didn't feel him clunky at all. On the contrary, I felt him more dynamic.
-
Uhm what? The change overall is a buff imo, fakes are less effective but proper use of the power is less punishing for the killer. That half second is huge.
-
I really like the rework but I agree, the blue tint added a lot of atmosphere and gave the maps their identity. The new grey tint is a bit too neutral and a bit dull.
-
Personally I don't have a problem with the respawning mechanism. I do think that the aura reading on Undying is too much considering how strong it can be with other Hexes, and should instead added to Hex: Retribution.
-
The Wraith. It was the first, the one who started the vicious cycle that makes me feel compelled to P3 every killer.
