Because adrenaline, the survivor equivalent has to be earned, and is made totally useless by NOED. It’s bad game design.

add ons aren’t problematic just because blight players use them a lot.
A variety of add ons is the ideal spot for a killer, if a select few are over overused, there needs fo be a combination of buffs/nerfs to promote differences in games.
Besides, alchemist ring is stupidly strong regardless.
-
I don’t understand why plague is so rare, she’s a good killer and has amazing add ons.
-
Shirtless Jake
-
I knew which map it would be on before I opened this, Lery’s is dumb.
-
I despise them, they should be removed. I’m tired of getting sent to Midwich, Hawkins, dead dawg, etc so the killer can have everything planned ahead. It’s the same for survivors with haddonfield + balanced, etc.
-
Not really, there’s many bad killers like legion, trickster, clown, etc that are despised.

Top 5s def won't be fully agreed upon, top 3 probably a much more feasible thing.
Candidates I'd suggest are def these
-Nurse
-Spirit
-Twins
-Huntress
-Hillybilly
-Oni
I wouldn’t even have Billy top half
-
- Spirit
- Nurse
- Blight
- Hag
- Huntress
Oni would be my #6, but I think huntress is better. She’s one of the scariest killers to face, as getting hit by a hatchet in a bad spot makes a down very easy to pull off in a matter of seconds. Great add ons too, can’t really go wrong with most of them. I think huntress has become fairly underrated, she’s very oppressive and can injure multiple survivors quickly.
-
It would just be reverted, BHVR’s social would be spammed with hate comments and player count would plummet.
BT/DS/Exhaustion would be absolutely mandatory.

The deep wounds add-on might counter that though, considering you can't walk while in deep wounds or go down. I don't know.
Yeah, true, but that’s just one add on.

I don't see all Blights running the same exact addons every match.
He has a ton of good ones to choose from
Lucky for you, I’ve never seen most of them used ever, even though blight is annoyingly common to go against. Movement speed, turn rate, alchemist ring, compound 33. The rest never get used, because all of these make him go from a hard killer to play, to an extremely forgiving one.

Ghostface before the expose? You have to stare at them for quite some time to get the expose. Lol.
I mean, I disagree with your other counter arguments too, but at least it is hard to argue with the fact that their stealth is garbage or limited. But you know, only the worst survivors (or those god loopers that are like, "come at me bro") allow a Ghostface to expose them for free. I consider myself a rank 20 survivor and even I wouldn't just sit there if spine chill was active for more than a second.
Beyond that, his stealth is his power too. He can use it for other stuff than just staring at them, and spine chill does give them an idea that it is happening making it pointless.
lol, the reveal mechanic is literally broken
You can stare at him, and nothing will happen half of the time. You really don’t have to stare at a survivor long, only a couple seconds behind cover, and it takes a few seconds to reveal, so the time it takes combined with the awful reveal system makes it very easy to expose survivors. Not that he’s a strong killer, but he’s very frustrating to play against.

Its unhealthy, a perk that completely ruins multiple killer powers and perks is not healthy for the game.
Im sorry that youre suffering from bad anxiety, but lets be real not many people run Spine Chill because of that reason
Whose power does it ruin?
Myers isn’t undetectable after tier 2
Pig’s stealth is horrible anyway and is hardly used
Wraith is very strong in chase, the stealth isn’t that important
GF exposes you as you stare at him
Any means makes nemesis’ zombies useless, is that perk unhealthy?
Quite frankly, I’m not sure how guaranteed hits/grabs from stealth without a perk to use as counterplay is healthy at all to the game.
-
Because the combo of tinkerer + undying + ruin is making every game feel the same. This is especially true on blight, who always use the same perks and add ons. There is a lack of perk variety on all killers and survivors, but blight specifically is the biggest offender by far.
-
@Shroompy said:
Its deserved, its a perk that needs tuning and is unhealthy for the game just like Spine Chill or Iron Will
Spine chill is not unhealthy, it makes the game more accessible to people with anxiety.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic but his add ons are fine. We need to stop making killers weaker.
they aren’t fine if every blight uses the same add ons, look at other killers like huntress and Doctor, you never know what they’ll be using
-
This is an issue with the ranking system, there are too many killers at red ranks.

To be fair, old mori’s I would say we definitely more problematic than keys, so should’ve taken priority. With that said, it shouldn’t have taken this long to change keys.

I faced a Billy today. A BILLY! I was excited until I noticed something: After I'd been killed and was spectating, I noticed that he had no perks at all. No addons either. Not even an offering. Just a blank bar in the scoreboard. The survivors all had stuff but Billy was totally empty.
It was strange then when he somehow managed to activate corrupt intervention.
Then, after the match, I looked again and now his bar suddenly showed several perks. Even so, none of them were corrupt intervention.
Am I missing something here?
Probably a visual glitch.
-
A lot of killer perks have stupidly long cooldowns. With that said, there really is no reason for deliverance to make a survivor broken. We’d see it + second wind a lot more, which would be a fun shake up to the meta. As you said, it already has an activation requirement and is useless if you get hooked first.
-
I’m not sure how much, but I have every cosmetic on Yun-Jin except the newest one, most Jake cosmetics, and a couple for Meg/Kate/Feng.
-
In your mind the 68% kill rate should be increased to what? If it wasn’t feasible for players of all skill to escape & kill, the game would be less satisfying and harder to learn.
There are already strong killers in the game, and yes many need buffs, but if you are seeking an experience of purely trying to attain dominance, then nurse, blight, spirit, Hag all exist. You shouldn’t instantly be able to dominate as killer, it requires time and effort to learn them to the highest level, which is how it should be. Ultimately, we all care way too much about kills, escaping, pipe, etc.
I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with trolling, but this isn’t mutual to one side. Solo players have to deal with their teammates dying instantly, god pallet being dropped at 5 gens, people refusing to save their team, facecamping killers, etc.

I'm not being bias though, I'm sticking up for the side you're being bias against bud.
Having an opinion that one out of like 100 killer perks is OP is not being biased whatsoever. If I was a generic survivor supporter, I’d never have advocated many times for the weaker killers to be buffed, and even suggested a multitude of ways that could be achieved. I do not think any other killer perk needs nerfed, in fact I think there’s like 50 that need buffed.
You’re coming across as pretty unreasonable quite frankly.
-
@BabuDweet said:
Your bias is showing.
Dead hard can literally save games for survivors. Had a game the other day I played extremely well only to lose because of constant dead hards prolonging chases which made me lose pressure, 3 dead hards.
There can be 4 dead hards, only 1 tinkerer which can be countered by spine chill when you think about it and or if multiple survivors are on a gen and they all commit? Boom you still lose the gen.
I get the frustration with tinkerer but don't be bias man.
I play both sides so I ain't a killer main, can't pull that argument with me.
You literally just pulled that argument against me ;)

The issue is that the game is imbalanced when survivors know what they are doing. I really don’t care to discuss balance around someone who plays an hour a week and thinks they know how to play the game. If knowledge and skill aren’t relevant to discussing balance, then there is no point in any discussion because nothing matters.
That’s not what we’re talking about. I’m talking about solo survivors, not inexperienced ones. There is a clear gap between SWF and solo survivors, that behaviour refuse to address.
-
The lunge from coup hits through dead hard

This only happens to me with SBMM.

@woundcowboy said:

Because most survivors are terrible at the game. I also consistently 4k at red ranks.
Then what’s the issue? The main problem regarding the balance is SWF, not solo queue. It’s not fair at all to generalise survivors into one category. It’s important to be specific I feel.
-
Here’s the issue, SWF have a much larger advantage than solos do when it comes to gen efficiencies. By changing gen speeds specifically, it would punish solos massively. The way forwards has to be to buff solo survivors, and then buff all the weak/mid tier killers to compensate, which would make the game much more balanced as a whole.
Also, 3 gens are already extremely strong, and making gens take longer would push that to the extreme, especially when combined with ruin or pop.
TLDR the gen speeds aren’t the issue, it’s the balance of the game
-
Probably not the next, but the lunar new year event gave you BP every game. That’s something that should be a constant feature anyway, but oh well!

Like 85% of the time swfs do it but I was just in a game with my swf with a random and they last second switched to a key. Oof. I've seen many randos do it. Still annoying to see it even as survivor. Been screwed from those keys one too many times. So I hate it as both killer and survivor.
Yeah, I can see that. I can’t survive without a medkit, because solos are unreliable for healing, so I never care about hiding the item I’m using.
-
Challenges that screw over your team, such as sabotaging hooks, glyphs, etc.

@Viktor1853 said:
dont play the game if you just will do nothing
It’s completely valid if the killer is slugging for the 4k imo, as there’s no point doing gens. If they aren’t guarding the downed person, then of course go pick them up, but if they are, there’s basically nothing you can do.
You can also apply this to killers standing still at the hook, sometimes that’s just how the game pans out.

Changing lockers

If I was still watching stranger things, I’d stop in retaliation. I gave up after S3 though, as S2 onwards felt like every episode had so much filler.

It’s not even last gen, Doctor skill checks create massive lag on PS5 now for me. It didn’t used to do that AT ALL.

I did not mean that you had to have psychic powers, I meant learning. Sorry if I wasn't clear with what I meant.
The issue is that perks cannot be considered counterplay most of the time, because there is a lack of information in casual games. I understand why survivors can’t see what killer they’re going to face (big disadvantage for stealth killers), but it creates an imbalance in the fact that there is no way to prepare for the match ahead, it’s just guessing. I can equip an amazing medkit, go against a doctor and get great use out of it, or go against a plague and it does nothing for me.
TLDR the way dbd works make it hard for survivors and killers to make the best decision in regards to loadout

Yes I know I deal with all of that and I do the same heck me and my friend play survivor a 2 man as double no mither only david for fun and we still get salt when I somehow run a killer for 3 gens. I get how hard it can be but trust me once you have a more positive outlook on these things it gets better the people complaining in the endgame chat don't matter anymore all that matters is that you had fun that game. I've stopped caring what other player think of me if I wanna I'll run NOED if I wanna I'll run bloodhound after all its my enjoyment I'm looking for. And when i get salt I say " gg have fun in your next game" more times than not it shuts them up, sometimes they'll have a change of attitude, I've even had people apologize for their rudeness its all a matter of what is happening in the moment if you take nothing else from me just take this often times having a positive outlook no matter the person can change how much fun you have. And after all isn't that why we play video games for fun?
I’m on console so I don’t have EGC, although I wouldn’t care about that, I care much more about how the game progresses and what happens within it.
With that said, I’ll try a different approach wrt discussions on here and see if it can be more productive and yield different results.

because the game lobby was designed with the idea that the killer can prepare.
Okay, but how often are killers going to be able to prepare accordingly? At least for me, I very rarely see people changing items last second, although I play solo so maybe it’s a SWF thing.
-
SWF are not impossible to defeat, especially since a decent amount of them are playing casually. A defeatist attitude isn’t going to help you, and we both have similar hours in the game, but there’s still plenty more to learn in DBD with 100s of hours.
I don’t see how spirit takes 1000s of hours, she’s probably the second easiest killer to play, wraith being number one. Blight isn’t easy, but I doubt considering how recent he came out, many if any non-comp players have used him for 1000s of hours.
I’d recommend starstruck, it makes altruism easily punishable, and being too altruistic is often the downfall of SWF.
Also, just dodge lobbies if they look like SWF.

Ok think of it like this I main the Doctor when people play me how many do you think are happy afterwards. Pretty much none I get salt and anger to no end but still I try to be kind and respectful. People will always be rude and be disrespectful but that doesn't mean you need to be too its not a matter of " He was mean to me so I was to him" thats stupid and its how this game got so toxic to begin with if we can be nice and respectful to most people we can turn this game around for the better. Thats what I mean. And when people think your biased just lead with I main both sides and don't say " this forum is full of killer mains." It makes you seem biased to one side. You see how words like that can be a problem. Both sides are stupid let me say that but all that means is we could be stupid together.
I see your point, but when applying this in game, I always get hate for saying stuff like this. I say that I never play deathsquad SWF, I rarely use 4 meta perks, I never BM, etc and that I am not shown that same respect in the game. The BMing survivors experience is often dismissed as ‘strategy’ by the killer, when it really isn’t. All of us who have mained killer know damn well what is and isn’t necessary.
-
Why is this a big deal? The killer has the advantage of info going into the match, whereas survivors have none.

hiding from the killer because they may have a perk is more thrilling and makes them actually feel scary
You absolutely can tell a survivor has SC. You have to be perceptive, but that’s how the game works. It’s the same for survivor deducing the killer has discordance, I’m all ears, etc.
I’m not biased against killer at all, in fact I’ve consistently advocated for like half the killer roster to be buffed.

Hard to hide from the killer when BHVR nerf stealth at every opportunity. Just look at them adding a noise for slow vaulting for zero reason

Honestly I feel people would take you more seriously and overall communicate better if you weren't a jerk to almost everyone if not everyone with a different opinion. I'm willing to hear you out and listen to your though process even though I don't agree. So long as and only so long as you promise to be nicer to people and just think from their point of view. You cant want people to see your point of view if you refuse to see theirs. Who know you may just sway me. ;)
I’ve always shown respect to people when they do to me, but people on here immediately result to saying I’m biased despite having mained both sides, and a liar countless times when I’m literally saying my opinion and experiences.

That's not true. Tinkerer has 3 counters in my opinion.
- Spine Chill: It lights up when the killer is coming to you, obviously.
- SWF: If one person activates Tinkerer, that person can tell the others. And then they know when it activates and what to do when they activate it.
- Being attentive and careful: When you activate it, you know that the killer has Tinkerer. And then you know when you activate it and what to do.
Having psychic powers to predict tinkerer, playing SWF when not everyone does is not counter lol.
