  • Here’s my two cents on this subject.

While I could’ve agreed with you in 2016, survivors are in a much better place where they can be weaker than the killer. More often than not, if the killer gets looped (even with bloodlust, or other perks that counter looping such as Enduring, Spirit Fury, BS, and so on) it’s normally their fault. Not to say that some stuff is abusable (such as the current vault bug that lets you vault through a window even after its been blocked)— but some things people don’t seem to realize is that it could just be their shortcomings. Not to say this is exclusive to killers— survivors complaining about being hit through pallets and windows are an example of that, as well. I don’t think the killer nerfs were ways to directly ruin the experience, but rather, their intention was to befit their original idea of HOW the killer is supposed to be played. Granted, I could be seen as biased for saying such as I play mainly survivor, but I personally believe that killers require some effort; not just 4K every game- which is an unrealistic expectation. Even IF you cited the countless nerfs prior to this patch, I just don’t understand what the issue is. Killers are in a great spot now, and same with survivors. Better than 2016, as I’ve said. Not to say that there’s room for reworks or changes, but I feel as if you guys are only looking at the nerf without asking “why did this nerf happen?” especially, with perks such as DS or MoM. It just feels as if people only look at the nerf itself rather than the grand scheme of things— more often than not, the devs have a great explanation as to why this change took place in the first place.

But, as I’ve said; this subject, while controversial amongst the community, is completely up to interpretation, and I would love to hear about your thoughts on it.

  • The game itself allows for multiple play styles— so stealth is perfectly fine. The emblems thingy is kinda weird, I thought you would’ve safety pipped rather than pipped. Here’s my chart on survivor pips for details:

    Gold:3 points

    Silver: 2 points

    Bronze:1 point

  • Escaping doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll win. It’s not an issue, but some things need to be fixed. Otherwise, as a survivor player- EGC is fine for both sides with potential to be changed.

It's hilarious how everyone assumes the leak is of the map. Trust me if it was a full map, Ghostface's chapter would have been leaked ages ago. According to the story behind this image, someone got this text instead of the Haddonfield text. Doesn't mean it's true tho.

Ofc it works with self healing. It has a couple of work arounds. Self heal inside the tr, or take Distortion. Also, it only takes place after the person is healed.

@Saint_Ukraine It';s a legal term for someone practicing medicine wihtout a liscense. The name could be changed to anything else that works, but it was the name we came up with that makes sense.

I would say maybe the word “Sanguinary”.

  • Head on: apply to the forehead.

Dance with me: You and the killer start busting down everytime you stun them.

Pharmacy: “Your prescription will be liked in within the next year”.

Dead hard: Start the match on a hook. 100% increases your chance of dying on the hook.

    Brutal Strength: 100% more splinters.

Spirit Fury: Go on a half an hour long rant about pallets.

Windows of Opportunity: You can strike a conversation with survivors and the killer.

Deliverance:Does not stack with Uber Eats.

  • It works enough for me. I went through support and they temp-banned someone who I reported and gave details on a ticket.

  • Hey, don’t bring Mcote into this! He’s trying his best and plays sometimes on his twitch. : (

  • I’m gonna be honest; I don’t see what the fuss is about. Really. MoM isn’t even worth running since it’s benefits outweigh its perks- it increases one’s chance to be obsession- easily countered by insta-downs, moris, or the fact that in order to stay safe, they need to stay injured.

Granted, the extra hit it gives survivor is annoying, but I wouldn’t say it’s OP like old DS- it’s strong? Sure, totally, but it’s not even worth running in my opinion, since I almost NEVER get use of it.

The aura makes it easier to track survivors, giving them a powerful advantage, but at a huge cost. DS could be used at anytime with its original state, but it is a niche perk in general that encourages aggressive survivor play. And I’m all for the aggressive survivor shift in the devs eyes (Like CI) but that’s Ash’s only good enough perk. Run Mad Grit if you have issues with people with it bodyblocking. Run whispers to track survivors. Run Bloodhound to see their pools of blood if they’re running IW.

There’s plenty of ways for MoM to be countered; and even if four people are running it they’re usually not going to heal, which is a HUGE advantage to the killer because at that point it’s usually the survivors last hook when MoM activates (if you don’t slug).

  • I don’t see where you’re coming from at all. This is just a QoL change. The devs aren’t either sided or bias— even if the CM’s and devs play survivor, that does little to game designers perspective.

I don’t see the issue at all- I play survivor and killer. Killers are in a much better standpoint than where they were in 2016, but I don’t want Killer to have consistent four K’s with zero skill involved. But, reading these statements makes it feel as if some omitted the consistent nerfs and buffs to both sides.

If you get taken to an infinite, you should give up the chase as you’re really just wasting time.

  • Content Release such as chapters or cosmetics are handled differently.

Cosmetics belong to the art/design team, who’s job is to draw said cosmetics and other assets. Model Sculpting and Animation could be a tie to both, however, I believe the programmers are a different team themselves, and have their work cut out for them.

Also consider BHVR doesn’t blow all their funds into one game; even looking at their previous works and current needs can help support this; they’re into mobile gaming.

While I can understand where you’re coming from, the release of content is one of many things that keep this thing alive. They are currently trying to resolve the infinite loading bug; and usually, details of what the game’s script was doing up to that point is needed. Hence, I recommend if you’re on PC follow the directions from this forum post,

Hello people of the fog. It has come to our attention that people sometimes experience freezes.

Or report your bugs to the bug reports section if you’re on console. They are trying to resolve it, and they have acknowledged this issue which likely means it’s beinng actively worked on. I hate it just as much as you do, definetly: It can be kinda a bummer. But I think the current patch as it stands resolved other issues (such as the DC during loading screen). Not to mention how smooth the game has been running recently. I think the games health is being addressed as it stands, but, that’s just my opinion, which is completely open for interpretation and change.

EDIT: TLDR: BHVR doesn’t only work on DBD, if new content was put on the back burner, the design/art team for this game would be out of a job and have to abandon what they’ve likely been working on for months.

  • Do you guys ever plan to add more pool perks? (Base-Game)

  • I don’t know— do you go to the opera?

@Watery The last time I quick swapped I was doing Cult of Dwights, worked 2/3 times

Isn’t it so much fun? Just turning your brain off and doing dumb stuff in this game? It feel so like a nice break.

  • The only reason I quick swap really is because of trolling— in my case. A friend group and I became the “tribe of megs” and crouched around the map in a line. While it was deliberate throwing, it gave me a good laugh.

I almost never really, try hard per se; using that method. If I do, I usually would just wear bright ass clothes and other stuff.

  • It slows the game down.

    just a ‘lil bit.

  • I don’t see anyone disagreeing with you. As it has its counters, it’s perfectly balanced— unlike decisive, which had no downfall to running— especially if you got good at the skillcheck.

  • If you want one, feel free to go the DBD discord server and message me. Watery#1841 is my discord.

Yes! Those are awesome! I love them!

However could you format them like desktop wallpapers? I would want to use them as background for my PC.

Also is it possible to use the black wedding dress cosmetic for the Nurse? Its my favourite cosmetic for her. Though if you dont have that cosmetic for your Nurse, thats fine too. Would just be a nice cherry on the top.

Do you have spare time? If you have those cosmetics I wouldn’t mind helping set up the shots and stuff.

If you want a certain survivor or killer, let me know! This type of stuff is fun.

who, what, where or when is that?

    What do you mean?

  • The Epic Games store has a variety of issues.

Particularly, in terms of saves, and syncing across different PC’s.

Let’s say for example, I play and I have a level fourty five character that I got from thirty. If I don’t manually back up said save, I lose that progress.

And if I tried to login in on a different PC? I wouldn’t have any of my progress.

Epic Games store is horrendous. It’s only propelled via the success of Fortnite, but much like that- it’s not going to last. Steam is much better.

  • @not_Queen said:

Do you got to the Opera? @Watery

I’ve been to an opera in my life actually. Rest I’ve seen of videos, but my personal favorites are Carmen, and Trivata!

  • I believe it was an apple with shards in it— for the killer power.

  • I mean, if someone DC’s, you can’t really do much. It’s a handicap— and it ruins the other people’s experience. I don’t see why DC’s shouldn’t be handled first- since in other games there’s some sort of punishment. I’d say a tempban would work.

  • Some people can find themselves short on time. If they do want a cosmetic, they don’t have the issue of having to wait year round. Not only does that system foster a mentality of “I have to grind this game to get that exclusive skin” but it deprives other consumers with less time of having the ability to get said cosmetic. I’d rather be able to get them year-round than one a year. Not only would that be a waste of a skin, but who really wants to wait for such?

  • They usually do some sort of red herring right? I’m assuming this is one of them.

  • Killer isn’t necessarily killing, just like how Survivors aren’t necessarily surviving. It’s just gathering emblems to pip by receiving tokens.

  • Personally, I don’t see this issue. The aura makes it easier to track the survivor you originally chased, and can be easily countered by exposed/one shot killers.

MoM’s perk is a one time thing. I don’t think it’s worth running if it only nets one extra hit.

Even if the extra hit is annoying— MoM’s drawback is too great to ignore. Similar to DS? Yes. But is there some level on counterplay? Free tracking of a survivor. As a survivor and killer main, it’s frustrating, yes— but it’s benefits are outweighed by its cons.

  • @DuckApproved said:

@brokedownpalace I don't think I've ever played a single multiplayer game where they changed something so drastically and didn't give you some sort of compensation. Its just a form of courtesy. Since it definitely isn't the same initial thing you purchased. Any consumer shouldn't be required to take a risk when purchasing said object is unknowingly prone to changes afterwards. Its a bad business practice and discourages consumers from using real cash as their purchase could be changed without them being able to stop it.

    OW? Destiny?

  • Not to be rude— but you really need to re-evaluate your opinion since you may misinterpreted the post.

Personally, I would rather have a well-made and thought out re-work rather than a quick fix. They’re testing the waters internally. Does it fit into the game? Do they have proper animations for it? Does it feel fluid? And, most importantly- does it make sense.

  • Challenging but rewarding gameplay depending upon skill level.

  • What was the inspiration for the cosmetics planned to release with this patch?

  • I don’t see what you mean. For me, when i vault into a locker as Jane, a part of my body sticks out. It’s weird.

  • Good luck Detective. We’ll miss you!

  • I can make a spreadsheet with equations if needed. May take me a bit of research though.

  • I’d go to support about it, but I don’t think hacking achievements would go unnoticed with EasyAntiCheat, but IDK.

  • What happens if you’re on the killers shoulder when you the end game, ends? Does it just drop you and do the animation? Or will the survivor have a chance to wiggle off and escape?

Dance with me is a combo perk, it is to be mixed with the perks lithe and Quick and Quiet

Not necessarily— but it has good synergy with those perks. It’s great for vaults that cut LOS.

What good reason do you have for this change?

Personally, I think it adds an intensity to the end game. I think it would make for interesting scenarios— such as knowing whether or not to leave, and so on. It adds an interesting new level of gameplay; in my opinion. It makes perks that are tied to the endgame much more valuable, (even if some are being changed) and makes survivors push for cleansing totems, just in case NOED is ran. Not only that, but I think it just fits the game. Comparing to how survivors have/had the ability to hold the game hostage indefinitely, this patch offers a new mechanic which I like. A new phase is something I’ve always wanted, and I’m glad it handles a variety of other issues (such as survivor looking for hatch, holding game hostage), but the pressure between both sides is higher than ever. Plus, the floor is lava.

However, now that I am rereading this thread, I agree. This change (as the key change), isn’t necessary. If you do wish for such to happen, I believe it would only last to 5 seconds AT MOST. If you want hatch, you should start lookin go immediately.

    EDIT:Grammatical Mistakes.
