  • not broken at all, you just dont like it, broken is a term we reserve for sprint burst, dead hard, etc.

For me the afternoon is for survivors and night for killers, no idea early in the morning.

Also it's very pathetic to justify the upcoming eruption nerf just because you think the game needs more killers to play/keep playing.

theres no game without killers and whats pethatic is crying over 1 perk that isnt completely trash

Depends how you combo them. Eruption for a start is nuts. Pain res and dms is basically the same thing but counterable. Overcharge/pop is a hella strong combo add nowhere to hide? That's my fave combination. I use it on clown a lot and it rocks, got genrushed in one game with 4 gens done in under 5 mins only got 2 hooks. Using nowhere, pop and overcharge I got a 4k. Because they had no chance of breaking a 3 gen against that build.

On demo I run pain res and jolt. Very strong. You regress gens a lot without needing to touch them.

Killers have an extremely strong set of regression perks rn. Maybe too strong. If utilises correctly it makes like a nightmare for genrushing survs. Trick with killer is to make sure you pressure the right gens. Stop them splitting the map and aim for a good 3 gen.

You sound like a survivor trying to come across reasonable.

Mm. Not so sure I agree. Some killers are cripplingly weak for sure. Twins, pig, freddy to name the worst. Killer's power plays a big part but so does your perk build. Most killers that run hardcore regression can rofl stomp most teams.

I can't remember that last time I had a bad clown game, and my mmr for him has got pretty high as a result, yet if I try hard I can still usually prevent gens being finished. Hell was doing a daily ritual with Oni earlier and I stomped a very well co-ordinated team with a pain res/dms build.

Sorry but what perks are you refering to, surely not killer perks? They don't do a whole lot. Don't know if you've recently gone through the list of killer perks but the killer perks aren't impressive. Not even remotely.

I'm new to killer had about 2 dozen games as nemesis. A lot of my games were going good, but now I'm going up against survivors with like every second chance perk in the game with prove thyself toolbox, and medkits with adrenaline. I felt completely useless I tried to mind game, I tried finding the weakest link there was none. I got like 1 hook. Honestly is this the type of survivors I will constantly have to deal with now? IS the mmr system saying hey you are as good as these survivors now? I'm a killer, and I felt completely useless as the killer. If these are the type of survivors I will be constantly facing then killer Isn't for me. Those survivors just had way too many perks that made it impossible to do anything.

This is what BHVR considers balanced. And to strengthen that balance, survivors now get to know whatever is going on on the map at all times. That 60% kill rate they say they want is just to appease idiots. Never seen an update that all in all wasn't a giant nerf to killers if not just a straight boosting survivors. BHVR are experts at making their game unplayable.

  • lol this is pethatic... gets most broken bullshit update and they want more... here how is this:

How about you get a little picture-in-picture window where you can see exactly what everyone else is doing from a bird's eye camera. You can then press a button to switch from survivor to survivor including yourself and the killer. When you are on the killer, you can not only see what perks they have but also what their status is.

  • This is how gen rushing should be nerfed.

You can have only one person on a generator and after every 15 seconds of repairing they need to do a 5 second dance from Fortnite. Then they need to howl at the moon. If no dogs start barking then the generator explodes. Then they can continue repairing the generator.

If a second person does join in repairing the generator, then all survivors are inflicted by Deep Wound, Hemorrhaging, Mangled and lose a health state.

If you brought an iri cog into the match then you should be banned from matchmaking for 2 minutes after the match.

  • @Kimplir said:

The survivors are already at the mercy of the killer on how the killer wish to play the game meaning things like tunnel, camp, slug, patrol and even facecamp. How this is done could also be said is decided by which sort of killer the survivors are up against, like for instance speed killers like blight and wesker which I'd dare say normally don't camp since they can get to a gen typically fast however they can also get back to the hook in the same speed but uaslly by then they've already found another survivor to chew out. Killers also decides for a survivor if they should use a pallet or not for when it comes to killers like nurse, trapper or pyramid head since it can mean more danger doing so than not.

I could go on and on however I believe the post is about not wanting to play up against the same killer over and over again making the game pretty much the same almost everytime since depending on what sort of killer you're up against you will also expect a certain play pattern from that killer on which you as a survivor have to adapt to and if it is the same killer everyday every game it is going to get pretty exhausting after a bit since most people don't have that much time to play over 3 games of DBD per day.

Long queues could be avoided if BHVR added a suggestion prompt or extra bloodpoints towards killers of which the survivor community wish to play against, meaning killers which are the least disabled/blocked by survivors.

Also I do enjoy seeing the subtle insult you made with your first sentence towards the thread creator, nice touch.

Survivors being at the mercy of the killer is the point of the game... Most killers, like myself, have rules for when to slug, camp tunnel, patrol, etc. Usually means a survivor was either being a dick or is a TTV/YTer.

Killers most definitely do not decide when survivors throw pallets. Don't put your bad plays on someone else.

You might not want to against the same killer over and over. Well, I don't want to go against the same tired builds over and over. Can I ban some perks and/or items? Killers would LOVE that and it is the same thing you are asking for.

"Long queues could be avoided if BHVR added a suggestion prompt or extra bloodpoints towards killers of which the survivor community wish to play against, meaning killers which are the least disabled/blocked by survivors."

You don't decide what killer people can play nor how they play them.

Oh and failed to mention that a teammate quit immediately at game start. Almost as if they knew it was hopeless…. Imagine that. But man… BHVR can’t figure out how to resolve this DC issue….

I really wouldn't care if it got nerfed because it doesn't do anything anyway, but I think we should be focusing on different perks that ACTUALLY cause issues.

    Neither is Eruption.

The hatred for Feng cosmetics is out of control. Honestly, who cares this much?

Feng doesn’t even have the most cosmetics.

Feng having cosmetics doesn’t take away from others having cosmetics.

If you don’t like her cosmetics, don’t buy them.

Be upset your main isn’t getting the attention you desire, instead of being angry Feng is.

Who cares if Feng is getting cosplays??? If someone is only a big fan of the original, that is the one they are going to buy regardless. I bought the new Jill outfit (and honestly I barely like Jill, but the cosmetic was nice) AND the Feng cosplay. Why? Because it was a cool cosmetic.

I main Jane for survivor and while I’m upset she gets left out so often, I’m never like oh wow but David/Meg/Feng etc got a new one. It’s irrelevant. The point is they once again forgot Jane.

Also, had they done a cosplay of Jane’s new Halloween outfit and gave it to Feng also, I would have been ecstatic and bought hers as well.

You’re all so petty when it comes to Feng , she’s not even the survivor w the most cosmetics..but apparently no one is ready for that conversation.

I wish the killers got some new skins, that would be fun... You know, just once... All killers ever get is nerfs...

Respectfully I do not agree with your approach to balance! You say the best way to balance this game is to balance it revolved around bridging the gap between swf and this new hud but this will not balance the game at all imo and only make things worse.

If you ask me personally the game will be balanced much better if you do another perk shake up/rework and buff weak and weaker killers. SWF will destroy every killer that's not Nurse (good) or maybe Blight. Coordinated survivors (new hud ui) makes the weak killers struggle even more.

Luck needs to be reworked as well, why are none of the devs addressing luck anymore? I understand these things are not easy and you guys are doing the best you can but this is not the way you get proper balance! You are essentially holding survivors hands so they won't complain while ######### on competitive killer players! You "do" realize that killers have a hard time map wise right? Your so called random maps actually goes on the randomly disadvantage maps for killer in what will be I guess you guys attempt at balance. I would be ok with this until this ui hud totally is killing the killer experience. You guys are taking away from what made or makes DBD unique, why? Why fix something that's not broken! DBD was not broken up until this point. Just my opinions and criticism I hope you don't mind!

I wish their approach to balance would either entail killers facing the same perk potentially up to 4 times OR to enforce no duplicate perks for survivors (or at the very very very least for SWFs) OR buff killers for once with something that is actually noticable in-game... Also for fun, you could listen to killers for once when they say that certain perks are broken af but I guess BHVR is too busy babysitting survivors to hear that...

Its quite weird that some killers wants to buff so they can play against top tier Swf relatively easy, at the same time want an option to not play against Swf.

That should be a hint to you that there is something very wrong when people have access to information that they shouldn't have access to... Be it through voicecomms or now through the HUD...

The hud gives no benefit to swf that wouldn't be given out via comms

So there is no way for people to communicate poorly, untimely or sub-optimal in any way, shape or form and as such the HUD that provides perfect information 100% of the time doesn't affect it at all... Quite...

The knight was getting beat fairly... let's buff him and make his special attack guard fast and because he uses his special attack he now gets a speed boost so he can catch up. What a stupid game

    Match Summary:

Wraith finds a three-gen to hold instantly. I have Deja Vu and try to break it, Wraith hits me, I run away. I quickly figure out he isn't going to leave, no big deal, I heal up. Overcharge skill check, almost miss it but I hit it. Wraith comes back. Repeat until one player gets hooked in a dead zone and tunneled out. Nobody else except for me can hit Overcharge consistently, he also has Eruption. Those gens are not getting done since he refuses to leave.

I get slugged in shack (there is a gen there). He just dings his bell and shakes his head as I crawl to basement, trying to get him to hook me. Instead, he leaves me slugged for the rest of the match until he wants to 4K, where he picks me up and drops me until I wiggle free. I force him to grab me out of a locker, he tries it again and I bleed out too fast. Queue messages saying, "eZ, trash player, expected better" and one thing that got him comm banned.

Very enjoyable experience. Definitely one of the matches of Dead By Daylight of all time. In summary, I wish I was either able to be mori'd or that UB was a thing. I literally do not care which, I just don't want to do that again.

Hahaha, killer did a great job! Wish I made people mad enough at losing for them to post on the official forum. You already have a basekit and that is more than enough. Basekit unbreakable is a joke. It'll never happen. Even if it came with being inflicted with every single negative status effect permanently until you remove them and being forced to remove them one at a time in the most inconvenient order after getting your full health back then still no.

It does. What isn't needed is a free health state every 40 seconds.

  • No, I clearly stated try, didn't I? Doesn't always happen. Only thing you should say is "GGz", regardless of the outcome of a match.

  • I use those tactics and I don't care at all about getting a 4K. I care about playing to the best of my ability and trying for a 4K which means that I make full use of my range of options as a killer to gain and keep advantage. Anything less is me disrespecting my opponents as that is me saying you are not good enough to display my full capabilities to. It would literally be me taking pity on you over a videogame, I would be insulted to the max if someone did that to me.

It always seems to lead to 'hey, drop every chase or go on a tour of all the map's pallets unless there's already a deadzone to either side' (especially when it's garden of joy or something). Yes, I'm been honest, I just feel that when people playing toxic towards people in game, so they are probably lonely and angry or im wrong?

You are wrong. A play style has nothing to do with a person's disposition, relational status or anything else for that matter. It is just how they play. Also, you have to start realizing that just because you don't think playing a certain way is fun or fun to play against that doesn't mean it isn't fun for someone else nor does it make someone else responsible for you having fun.

I camp, I slug and do everything else survivors whine about on a regular basis. Hell, if it were still possible to tunnel in this game then I'd be doing that too. Nothing scarier than systematic destruction. Don't get me wrong, I start my games off with regular play but if you:

    • Use a Flashlight
    • Use Dead Hard
    • Crowd hooks
    • Body block in general
    • Have TTV in your name
    • Finish more than 1 gen by the time I get my first hook
    • Teabag

Then you can count on my full arsenal of underhanded tactic being brought to bare. Because this tells me, except for the TTV which is a matter of you making money out of my gameplay and you aren't paying me, that you are not there to have just a fun game.

But if I wouldn't do that, then it is still funny to me how survivor's expect the bad guy to not use underhanded tactics. It is not my job to ensure you have fun, my job is to provide the horror aspect of the game in the form of killing you in whatever manner. You agreed to that by joining the queue. I don't care if you have fun, I am just trying to win. That is all it is. If I get outclassed by a survivors but I don't feel the need to tell them off. I did my best, they were better. The whole notion that there is something like toxic how people play is ridiculous. Besides, if someone tries such tactics and fails then you feel a million bucks and the need to ridicule the killer. Me? I never say anything except for "GGz" and just move on to the next game.

Killers actually got one buff in this patch. It's harder to wiggle out for survivors noticed this in few games where survivors would wiggled off from me but with the nerf to wiggle I got them on hooks.

You call a 1 sec wiggle timer decrease, 1 second that was there to test the new wiggle system and thus going to be removed anyway, a buff? You cannot be serious? That is not a buff... That is testing over, no longer required thus removed.

There is nothing wrong with the UI update. It won't magically make all Survivors Seal Team 6 Killer stompers. I played some of it and it helped out knowing the Killer was chasing someone I could go unhook safely or go a little risky and do that One Man Gen.

You have to live with the fact that not everyone shares your OPINION and will have their own OPINIONS. So please before this gets out of hand (it might be already) don't get so argumentative to folks with a different opinion than you.....it never goes well especially if a Mod has to step in

Exactly. " I played some of it and it helped out knowing the Killer was chasing someone I could go unhook safely or go a little risky and do that One Man Gen." You should not have that info without you seeing it. Ever.

  • @HugTheHag said:

It might be awkward for a while, but it's to make future balance nerfs/buffs easier.

Hopefully the buffs to killer that will undoubtedly follow will be killer-specific to address their own issues and not "here's a bulk buff to killer in general that will not actually help lower tier killers"

Killers get buffs? Never seen that...

  • as if the game isnt already completely in survivor advantage, this had to be added

  • @renvolt said:

It's not even in the same ballpark as being as coordinated as a SWF, it just ever so mildly improves the solo Q survivor experience. Now when a teammate gets hooked you can see "3 gens, ok nobody is going for hook" and go save. If I get left on hook a couple times less I'm happy, and I think they were just going for bridging MAJOR communication gaps like being left on hook, abandoned with noed up, etc

imo callouts are what separate SWFs from solo queues, if solo survivors could ping "killer spotted at shack", "finishing gen then omw hook", "saw a hex in main, taking killer to smokehouse someone go cleanse" then yeah it might be game changing. But seeing Meg with a blank icon for 3 minutes bc she's looking for a totem to bless and you thought she was going for save? Trust me there's still an element of surprise (and disappointment)

You mean having information that you in no way should be privy to but thanks to voice comms and now the game itself are?

  • @Edilibs said:

They made it so that solo survivors can be just as coordinated as swf? Why would they do this?

There's no surprise or real life element now because survivor can "always" know what another survivor is doing because of the icons.

Why does the survivor experience need it's hand to be held I don't understand! That's the problem with these new games today they're dumbed down!

Geeze DBD was fine until this happened? It's really too bad the game has gotten like this..

Yeah because swf are inherently cheating in a 4 vs 1 by telling eachother information over the various voice comm systems freely available that they shouldn't have any access to at all for any reason, BHVR managed to make it worse by giving the exact same bs to solo queue so that all 4 survivors at all times ever knows exactly what the singular killer is doing simply by glancing at the status icons.

A masterclass in messing up your own game by BHVR.

  • @Mistseer said:

as per title, please let me know what your definition of tunneling? is it straight off the hook? or is it still tunneling if the survivor is simply put, the last one unhooked, with an indefinite time span?

DH already got nerfed hard, now it remains is a small window with a weird stupid animation which gives away the DH. The animation makes no sense, most skilled killers just wait out the DH. Waiting to use DH on the last moment often results in a delay and failed DH.

So if you want DH to be nerfed more, you clearly can't see the complete picture.

And secondly survivor perks have been nerfed alot harder the last year, too much killer orientated changes.
