I feel like people on PC leave the game more so I wouldn't entirely know. I watch a lot of PC streamers and they have games every now and then where the killer would leave the game or their whole team abandons them in the beginning of the game. I play on xbox and I've been playing this game for about five months now, but I've only had three games where the killer left. Everytime someone DID leave the game, it was during the load in because it would take so long.
But, from what I've WATCHED, I see a lot of Wraiths, Legions, Claudettes and bunny Fengs DC the most

AHAHAHAHAHA Dude this is actually the funniest comment I've seen yet about Deathslinger. I've never heard someone say that before, he really does have a imposing walk😂 I guess that's part of reason why I have so fun fun playing against him, his stride doesn't change and he sounds so disappointed when I pallet stun him.

I get excited when they don't start struggling because it's like "You think I'm going to spare you?" For a brief moment they'll be happy because they think i'll give them hatch and then I put them in the basement while nodding my head at them.

I could be wrong but I would drop pallets early and continue to loop him on that pallet. He can't hurt you when he's on the other side of the pallet so when he chains you, he's forced to break the chain himself and it causes no damage to you. Zig Zagging usually works but really, keep an eye out when he raises his gun because then you'll know when he's about to take a shot. One more thing, always be using your camera, most Deathslingers will most likely run Monitor and Abuse so their terror radius will be super short, so keep an eye out always :)

hehhe. Yeah, I mean, from Zari's bio we know he was incarcerated in 1860, so he made that deal with the warden in 1875. I think there's another timeframe given after that, but I forgot where and how much it was. but i think it was ~10 years, bringing us to 1885 or such.
If we assume the 'with age' means around 16 or 18 when Bayshore hired and exploited him, that'd set him at being.... 41-43 or such.
Also, coming back to the 'pallet to the knee' joke someone made: given how the leg brace looks in some of his outfits, I can imagine someone DID leave him for death after emptying a shotgun's cartridge into his knee...
Like, that maybe he overestimated himself and underestimated the guy he was after on his own, and the guy escaped after shooting Caleb's legs to pieces.
I find it funny that if we went by the actual years to determine his age, he'd be over 160 years old.
I do agree with what you said though, his leg was probably shot out by a guy he underestimated. At first I assumed that his leg was like that because in his story it says that he KICKED down a door to go beat his boss's ass and the wardens. After reading everyone else's claims, I don't know what to think but so far I'm sticking with what you said because it makes the most sense to me so far.

Bill and Laurie because they are both badass and know how to put up a good fight. Plus, I'm a huge fan of the game "Left 4 dead", I loved playing Bill there and I'm a huge fan of the Halloween movies so I admire Laurie.

Like, yeah, the outfits that do give info on the leg give him very different hair (darker, and going by his drawn portrait I'd actually think he's not balding in his mainform, but that's just me), but questions is:
Going by the mainlore:
how old was caleb when he went to prison, how old was he when the hellshire gang was formed, and how old was he when the warden betrayed him?
cause there might be plenty of time that he ran afoul of some rival gang or such and WAS left for dead by them with a shattered/shot-to-pieces leg but was found in time and fashioned the brace to be able to walk after he regained strength
I looked it up and all we know is that he's older than forty. He doesn't look THAT old but I'd say he's probably 45-50, he ages very well 😉

Leatherface's, I can't stand them, they take no skill to play and all they do is camp. I have not yet played against a Leatherface who doesn't camp, so it SUCKS being the first person caught in those trials.

Clowns? Why should i question a Clown, they are iconic in horror movies, books and tv shows since ages. And Demogorgon is a Demon, D&D character and the most iconic antagonist in one of the most popular Sci-Fi Horror shows.
You say he is not a Cowboy? Well, who cares what he is per definition, show him to 100 random people and 99 say its a stinky Cowboy and 1 guy plays banjo in silence.

One again, don't see him as a cowboy because obviously there aren't any "cowboy" killers. He's a bounty hunter, and there's been plenty of horror movies that involved just regular killers like a hunter.
He's a human killer, that even you could see in real life because bounty hunters are real people with real jobs. It just so happens that he is an Irish immigrant in a completely different time period so him being a bounty hunter is different from what one is today. I think it's awesome that they have these killers from different time periods and places around the world, they are all different from each other and aren't boring.
I see him more interesting than all the other killers because there is no other killer that is like him. Call him what you want, he still has one of the coolest character designs and story.

Because he is the most discusting being in Dead by Daylight since Legion 1.0? Versus Spirit you have at least a chance to counter her power, but versus Quickscope Boy there is nothing else you can do but hope he is playing bad. 0 reactive gameplay. And on top of it, his weakness is mobility, which means you have a LOT of time sitting on gens. Thats a lot of fun too. Plus he is a stinky Cowboy. I mean, a cowboy. If you would have asked me a year ago what the possible dumbest killer devs might come up with could be, i might have said A Cowboy that runs around with a harpoon which can be used to reel in survivors.
The better question is not why i dislike the deathslinger, but why anybody dont ;) What do you like about him?
He's not a cowboy, he's a badass bounty hunter/gang member and looks cool as hell with his redeemer. He's one of my favorites because of his character design and his weapon choice.
You question a "cowboy" in dbd but not the fact that we have a clown that eats fingers and a slimy Demogorgon?

I've played Desthslinger, Huntress, and survivor, you should know I'm not talking about how "big" the hatchets are. Her hit box is massive and you don't even need to hit the survivors most times.

I love when people say he's a time-waster because even I know he's not as slow as everyone says he is. He's still able to stop loops, end chases quickly, and just like any other killer he is able to catch up to people on foot. Sometimes I don't even need to shoot because the survivors WASTE time trying to avoid the shot so he is able to quickly gain up on them, it's all one big mind game.

I feel like people who call Deathslinger boring are the ones who probably never figured out how to play him well or were once killed by him. A lot of people play Huntress because of the long-range right? Well she also has a MASSIVE hit-box so it's hard to miss your shot. You have to be exact to hit your target with Deathslinger and if you can't, you probably have a bad aim. They are probably just used to Huntresses cheat of a big hit-box, like how do you miss? I've hit a wall once 3 feet away from a survivor and it still took the hit, that's not very cash money at all.

No, he's not. Everyone says that because they haven't gone against an actual good Deathslinger. I've been put up against good and bad Deathslingers and got destroyed by the good ones. Lately, I've been paired up with terrible Huntresses and I've won almost all my rounds against her because it's easy to avoid her hatch.

The exact same reason why he's my favorite too, except for the part about relating to being a dude with long hair. I don't care about how good or bad a killer is, I just want to have fun with then, Deathslinger is the perfect example.

@WisteriaButterfly @Bovinity @metalklok I'm glad you three agree that the matchmaking system on this game sucks. Usually, I get hate for complaining about it from a bunch of rank 1's.
The devs really need to fix this issue because I'm seeing that people are actually refusing to play the game until it's fixed and I don't and them completely. I'm not going to stop playing the game because of this but I will make it clear to others that this is the most major issue in the game that needs to be fixed. I'm sorry about ya'lls matches as well, you shouldn't have to go against people who way higher or lower than your rank, the game should be equal and fun for everyone.

Also you're assuming I'm the one getting caught. You can dislike a proxy camper/tunneler without being the one caught out.

He's extremely underrated because most people don't play him right or they miss 90% of their shots. When played right, he can be really powerful and a strong killer. Huntress is pretty predictable killer in my opinion, when she winds up her hatchet it becomes easy to avoid and she slows down.

I don't like Deathslinger because the people who play hom usually play like scum. Not hard to follow. It's the same reason I dislike facing Legion and PH. Because they usually are #########.
I do get mad when people spew something as stupid as don't get caught. It's useless. That would be like me telling a killer who gets gen rushed to just apply pressure. In other words it does nothing to help.
I don't care mate, be more stealthy next time then. I actually just played against a Deathslinger and now we're friends because he applied good gen pressure and he almost got me in the very end. He was a very good sport and he sacrificed everyone but me and some other guy. You can't generalize everyone just by who they main :)

Nearly every Deathslinger I face proxy camps and tunnels off the hook. So no, it has nothing to do with knowing what you are doing.
Don't get caught next time, if anything you should be concerned about Leatherfaces and Trappers camping. Sometimes I get my ass kicked by Deathslinger but they never had tunneled or camped for me.

I just love how most survivors perceive him to be weak. It makes my matches so funny when they all get cocky and just end up dying with zero gens done. Either people don’t face him enough to know how strong he can be or there’s a lot of baby slingers on PS4, because almost every one of my matches has survivors wanting to chase after me and it never ends well for them. He’s the only killer in the game where I feel 100% confident I can still destroy an entire 4-man squad. I let one of my friends shareplay some of my games and he was so shocked at the shots I could pull off. But just like you, it’s from all those FPS. He’s honestly a dream come true for me in this game.
For reference, I’m consistently a red ranks killer and 9/10 I’m against red rank survivors. For me, he’s extremely strong to play as.
I play a lot of other killers but when I play HIM, my confidence and skills just go through the roof. Since a lot of people don't go against him, it makes games easier for people like us because they except an easy match that they can just 360 through, but that's the magic about it. It's actually pretty hard to loop and 360 him because survivors are always expecting to get shot so instead of going the fastest they can go by running in a straight line, they run sideways over and over letting him gain on them and just hit them regularly.
It's really just baby slingers who give actual good Deathslingers a bad reputation because they miss a lot or they have bad generator control. It's a huge advantage, the whole match just becomes this huge mind game where I win every time.
