Well yes, but it was the first killer after all. And arent freddy's snares just nerfed bear traps that can be set from a distance?
You right xD

Then a mori is fine and survivors shouldn’t rage quit and ######### when one is brought in.
I have no issues with either of them, but some people blow them both completely out of proportion.
Both of them grant free wins. That's no bueno in my book.

But arent these things just some remenants of his old power? Like the glow thing? I never played old Freddy so I cant say. Most powers can be baited too. I just meant that his new power is snares and teleportation slapped together, and neither is unique. I just think he has wasted potential, they could go way more creative with the whole falling asleep mechanic.
(Just like with Demos portals)
At least it's much more unique than the old killer powers. Trapper is literally just a basic killer that can place traps.

I play Nurse and Huntress at rank 1 on Xbox (well I stopped playing Huntress mostly because of maps). Sensitivity is fine. Aim acceleration is what we need. And 60 FPS. I have no problem landing blinks except when sometimes the game lags really hard and my screen is locked to a single image for the entire blink. But when it comes to turning speed I have no issues tracking survivors as long as the frame rate is stable.
Same for me :/

Meanwhile Last Year just overhauled their balance and made it so instead of their Killers being afraid of survivors now survivors are actually afraid as they should've been all along.
How isn't dbd balanced?

ghostface, clown, spirit, legion, and demo were nerfed within a week. oni you could kinda argue with but other than that the last killer actually nerfed in a week or 2 was plagues speed during her power
Demo nerf? Where?

That's why I said the game should be rebalanced around it. Measures against camping, measures against tunneling, OP perks/add-ons/items/offerings/Killers get re-balanced. The problem isn't the idea; it's the game being in a pretty dang messy state.
Oh well then we're in partial agreement. The difference is, I am looking from the more accurate perspective that the game will never be balanced because it is little more than a party game.

@TAG said:

I want the game to be determined by who wins/loses, not by who plays in a way the devs approve of.
Players getting boosted by luck or cucked by unbalanced features of the game makes your idea very bad. I don't want potatoes in red ranks or godlike players bullying green rank killers. Apparently that's exactly what you want.
-
@TAG said:
I think ranking up/down should be actually determined by a team winning/losing based on escapes vs. kills, and the game should be re-balanced around that. None of this emblem nonsense.
What the hell? You want swf to be carried even harder? A survivor's rank should be determined by their skill, no questions asked.

Nancy’s actress, Natalia Dyer, is much more pretty in the show than in the game. The most annoying part about it is, they managed to NAIL Steve’s look so well; and Nancy’s body language is too stiff and her shoulders are far too broad for my taste.

Omg that photo! Poor Natalia...

Altruism is riskier than gens, shouldn't objectives not be higher than altruism?

Makes sense

Please dont just be a boring "throw chain and pull Survivor toward you" ability.
Literally anything but that.
Okay what exciting thing can you do with chains? Whip them around? Attach a pallet to them and flick the pallet at survivors? Swing around like Spiderman?
-
Damn I feel bad now. Had a no mither in my killer game last night and I killed him because I thought it was toxic he was running DS and DH. I never even thought of the challenge :(
-
I never played customs until recently, it's actually a lot more fun than ranked atm.
-
XB1, you?
-
Yea as survivor it sucks to wait 7 mins to find a lobby then it turns out the killer is 10 ranks below you and that's why they couldn't even catch you. As killer it's kinda fun, but usually I get a team of potatoes or even a team with one or two potatoes and they never really had a chance. Matchmaking was ruining things for me, but I haven't played after rank reset yet and I'm excited to see how mm is after I get home.

I think it's called hook teching. It's a known issue and they are working on it but since it helps survivors, I don't expect a fix anytime soon. DS not working they fix that in a week. Stacking mend time add ons as legion resulted in a ban yet abusing fat shame spots and hook teching is allowed........?
As for the sitting at the line, run blood warden. They wont do that ######### again lol Or maybe implement a system where sitting at the gates but failing to leave causes some sort of penalty? Like when a killer stays near the hook too long. Make survivors lose points or something for staying near the exit being a douche.
Giving the killer a goodbye and some points is being a douche? In what way?
-
There might be some in Creations, but since you asked, here's one:
Hex: Song of the Witch
The weak willed are easily lured into doing your bidding. Survivors within 32m of your active hex totems heal, cleanse totems, and repair 20% slower. You are undetectable within 32m of your active hex totems.
-
Any reason for this to be implemented? No? Then let's get back to the important things please 😂
-
Solution: run the bandaid perk gang! DS, BT, and Unbreakable.
Enjoy the salt and the addition of more camping and tunneling killers complaining about them on reddit.

Rank 1 trapper main: 10 secs or less queue time, as soon as I get into a lobby in that time, it takes an extra 1 minute or less to get me 4 victims, I mean... survivors
Rank 1 Bill, Dwelf and Kate mains: 5+ minutes queue time + usual 1 min lobby wait for the killer to put on a mori and a Lery's offering, jk
Your rank hasn't been reset like OP's?
-
@Carlosylu said:
Not for me, Xbox, rank 1 killer Trapper main, 10- secs per wait
What's your rank and queue time atm?

Agreed. And the same to all other players who don't play survivor or even perhaps not at all anymore.

Not being able to prolong chases. Not attempting to stealth. Not attempting to 360/juke/dodge a blink. Running standard loops against a Nurse like she is a M1 Killer. Going directly to pallets against a Nurse. Not making use of line of sight. Running in straight lines.
Yeah, Survivors not being able to survive or not bothering to play around the current Killer tends to count as a mistake.
Jukes? You know this is Nurse right?
-
As long as it doesn't skew towards rank 20 that would help fix a lot of mm problems.
-
@Chewy102 said:

Compared to the Survivors, who made more mistakes? I see a game where a Nurse made some mistakes, but I also see a game where Survivors made a lot more mistakes. You are only looking at the Nurse and not Survivors.
Yes, that Nurse made a couple of mistakes. Losing the David twice was big, maybe going for a quadruple slug within the first 2 minutes of the game was a bit to much, and he could have been better at landing hits instead of baiting Dead Hard so much. On the other hand though. How many mistakes did those Survivors make?
Ever think to do a play by play for Survivor mistakes to give them a count? If you bothered to look at BOTH sides of the gameplay you'd see that even though Survivors made by far the most mistakes they still managed to end the game with 2 escapes. They didn't earn those escapes if you ask me.
That's my point of view. Survivors aren't earning their escapes. They can play horribly and still walk out a gate or jump in a hatch without putting in any real effort for it at all.
Killers need to earn kills and Survivors should also need to earn escapes. But it Killer takes effort to earning kills, Survivors not so much in getting escapes.
Hmm I can't recall...when did the survivors make mistakes and give the killer free pressure?
-
Honestly even though it's far from perfect, it could be worse
-
@Chewy102 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1088532#Comment_1088532
Let me turn that around.
Why should Survivors be entitled to an escape? If Killers shouldn't expect to earn a 4 kill game, then Survivors shouldn't expect to have 4 escapes. Stop generalizing Killers. Just look at that one game for example and ask yourself.
Did they earn those escapes? 1, maybe 2, Survivors was working gens that whole game. Everyone else was bleeding on the ground or in a chase the entire match. Those Survivors couldn't survive for beans yet they still managed to get an easy 2 escapes, almost 3.
If it had been any other Killer, it would have been a 4 escape. Trapper, Wraith, Huntress, Billy, Demogorgon, Clown, Shape, Ghostface, ANY OTHER KILLER would have NOT done as well as Nurse in that game thanks to basic looping and it would have ended in a near 100% certain 4 man escape.
Do you honestly think that is a good thing? Do you think that's fair?
Lmao you're joking. The man made so many mistakes and you want him to 4k? You are literally joking, if not please explain yourself better than "nurse is the strongest haHA"

The fact that people are still defending survivors after watching (or not watching) this video boggles my mind.
The game's outcome should be dictated by length of chases, but obviously it is dictated by whether or not people feel like doing gens.
I think the killer should also be able to maintain pressure, the killer failing slugs doesn't exactly fit the definition.
-
Tbf I have actually seen suggested changes to BT and DS to have them require actual thought/strategy.

Just... why the HECK is this called META perks at all??? Just cause a massive number of players use that? So, lets eat crap, cause billions of flies do that!!!
Really, stop calling this specific strategy perk build as META. Its META only for whom fits to its gamestyle. And a ton of players dont.
This topic should be un-pinned...
Maybe because they are the best perks for the meta playstyle of eliminating the killer's pressure? I mostly agree with you though, there are other good perks for other good playstyles.

I think he has a point. We also cant really decide everything from a single perspective of a match. Arguments like this never go anywhere, and chases are only a part of a game. You can be a god and still lose this has always been a thing.
So you're agreeing with our posts? I wish people that made threads like this would acknowledge the mistakes the killer made.

Yeah true. But wouldn't increasing the cap just essentially be the same as the bonus bloodpoints offerings we already have? If you increase the cap by 50-75-100 points.. Heck, it would be even worse, since you would need to reach those caps, the other ones are multipliers, so you get more points per action already
Just think about a 16k bp boldness cap lol.
-
@Marcavecunc said:
"Remove bp limit of a particular category (personal/shared variety)"
This would definitely end up making survivors get way too many objective points if they do co-op action on generators using Prove Thyself., the way things are now, you can max out on objective after a generator and a half.. can't imagine how many points you could get without the 8,000 points limit
I think increasing the cap a little would be better
-
@HellDescent said:
That doesn't make sense. You're being punished for doing an objective? This is especially bad for solo players
This sounded ironic at first but then I realized it actually applies to OP's suggestion.

Yeah and then you slug them and they have unbreakable. Or they're on SWF comms and they get up before you can even go off to find someone else. Or it's the last gen and they have adrenaline. Or you intend to slug them but they have Dead Hard (for distance) and extend the chase.
DS, of all things, needs to go. I don't give a ######### about the rest of them. DS ties the knot together. That knot needs to go.
Hm? Tunneling shouldn't be easy.

You literally depip if you kill all of the survivors too quickly.
Wow, the emblem system is broken? Thanks for letting me know mate!
-
Noed doesn't exist? Also DS won't punish you unless you pick them up. If you're applying good pressure like you claim, you can afford to slug and stretch out a little bit more.
-
@ABannedCat said:

NOED only punishes one of the four survivors. The other 3 will just leave as soon as they see the notification, if they are smart.
According to killers, individual survivors do not matter and it's all about "the survivor team". The survivor team is taking a heavy loss.
-
@ABannedCat said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1087828#Comment_1087828
Killers that do too well get punished by both DS, and the emblem system. Why is the same standard not applied to survivors?
Survivor emblems are screwy in general and killers do have a perk that punishes the enemy team for playing "efficiently"
Am I wrong?

Good points.
Only problem I have with this is.. I can hardly ever find 4 people for surviving, let alone 5 for kill your friends.. 10?!
I know, the Dead by Daylight discord has a looking-for-group channel, I would probably go there, but.. rather play with people I know than randos, honestly. Not that I have anything against playing with randos, did my fair share of joining people up after a game with them because why not, I was playing on my own or planning to switch to survivor anyway, but for a mode like kill your friends, I'd prefer them being actual friends.
I also have trouble finding myself at times...

Green mori does the same but only kills 1 survivor as usual.
Skeleton key only opens for one survivor. Purple keys only open hatches (also just for one survivor) that have been previously opened, making the achievement still possible but much more difficult.
I could get behind that
-
@Marcavecunc said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1087659#Comment_1087659
.. well you don't go straight at the generator, obviously. You go from the side, in hiding. Behind walls or obstacles. And you can tell if they're still working on it or not by the sound
But yeah if they're going in reverse in plain sight, no one would get caught :p
Props to any killer who can expertly weave behind obstacles backwards. I have yet to face one though.
