It’s probably because a lot of killers have given up on this game. Look at your survivor queue times..
Why would they give up during this time period? They got a lot of neat QoL changes recently.

It is a really good Perk on some Killers. But I agree, someone who is using it to replace Ruin does not put that much thought into it. E.g. I am quite confused when I see a Spirit with Corrupt Intervention.
What's wrong with CI on Spirit? It makes perfect sense because you are more likely to get surprise hit and sometimes without the survivors even hearing you coming. In the late game, a 3 gen with Spirit can be GG.
-
You're not entitled to reach rank 1
-
I call most killers their title, with the exception of Freddy, Myers, and Bubba.
-
Although she is very map dependent, she is also extremely good. A good huntress can shut down loops as fast as Deathslinger and not have to reload as much as him. Her chase game has too much potential for her to be at least high tier. I agree she is far below top 3 though.
-
This is a pretty good idea. It always seemed nonsensical to me that he didn't have a lethal variant of his gas he could use to control the map.
-
Yea the inconsistency between survivors revealing him and him stalking them is really questionable because the devs have said the former is using a system similar to the latter's. I think this feature is okay balance-wise but admittedly it doesn't make sense logically.
-
Why does lightborn need to be fixed?
-
Why would you be punished? If anything it'll just incentive prestiging a little bit more, but you probably won't be forced to do so.
-
Well it's not like they could say it before
-
I think most players are fine with this map, and many enjoy it and praise its balance. I personally think rng is too big of a decider for the map, but it's great otherwise.

No if youre playing survivor thats about right. I dont recommend anyone grind for bps playing survivor tho. Ques are longer and and bps are less. The ONLY benefit is you can go into a game with no items or addons so theres no cost
Agreed. Survivor is absolutely miserable in terms of bp and playing it is a waste of time if you are trying to reach dbd's endgame. Obviously, I assume in my calculations that the player isn't trying their absolute hardest to reach endgame, so they would still mix killer and survivor. Thanks for the input!

Playing killer with bbq on youll get closer to 50k per game on average.
And 25 minutes per game? Ive never had a game go that long. 15 mins is a long game. Even if we be generous and include time in between games its at most 20.
Playing survivor normally will get you about 18k on average. 30k is a pretty happy medium imo. For game length I included queues, lobbies, dodging, and setting up. This can also account for wasted games like moris or genrushers or whatever. Anything else I might have missed?
-
Deliverance and DS are aggressive perks. I would swap them out if I had a more passive play style, maybe for something like Bond or Kindred to help you keep track of your team. Self Care or Inner Strength for self-reliance are also good options, but Self Care requires a lot of planning and decision making to use efficiently. Quick and Quiet and Spine Chill are good stealth options if you want to lean more towards evading the killer. Hope this helps!

If you have to work around it by definition it is affecting your game because you are taking actions you wouldn't take to avoid it. Aka altering your behavior.
If there was no obession it means no one has DS would you still play aroundvit despite knowing no one has it?
Yes because that's how I play

Jesus F-ing Christ.
I didn't do the math for the amount of actual hours you need to spend but holy crap on a bicycle. That really makes the grind much more worse in prespective if you put it in actual YEARS.
Yeah I was pretty disappointed that I was even able to put it into years. I imagined it was huge but I didn't imagine players could still be working on it after their kids grow up xD

Ya the grind is an absolute pain in the ass for a newer player. This is the type of game you probably won't have a competetive build (especially as killer) for a good 100 hours atleast. Even my main is still using some lvl 2 perks and suboptimal builds because I need millions upon millions more bloodpoints to unlock singular perks I need and have an absolute ton of characters I need to do it on. This isn't even going into the depressing paywall or hyper grind on top of your grind wall to just get the characters for often 1-2 perks. Shrine is garbage, 7 shrines in now and I've given up on seeing anything not garbage in there as it seems very obvious that shrine is rigged against anything decent to push dlc sales. It's quite frustrating to constantly be fighting at a disadvantage, most games have a thing called matchmaking so it's less of an issue being at a disadvantage but this game has no matchmaking at all. Been fighting red ranks with thousands of hours since day 1, knowing I'm still hundreds of hours from being on even footing on so much as a single character is frustrating beyond belief.
Yes it totally sucks how there are still only 4 perks in the shrine.
-
Hmm I'll add some rough math here since that's basically what the thread is about.
1540000000 total required divided by 30000 bp per game = 51333 games required to max out
51333 games times 25 mins per game = 1283333 minutes required to max out
1283333 minutes divided by 60 minutes per hour = 21389 hours required to max out, or 2.44 entire years of your life doing nothing but playing dbd
The math is really rough but maybe you'll find it fun to look at :P

I did talk about the grind for new players. I added the endgame at the end to put it into prespective.
Ah ok I got thrown off track
-
Why would new players want all characters p3 level 50 with all perks? A better calculation would just be getting all perks and then maybe getting p3 level 50 with all perks on one character each killer and survivor. The final endgame of dbd should be a little daunting, the starting point should not. Why calculate the endgame when talking about newer players?
-
It's probably latency. Even at 80 ms, your hitbox is displaced by about an in game foot. If you're only a foot or less past the corner, don't expect it to protect you.

Anyone who says DS does not affect your games is lying. Because if you work around it...its affecting your game. If you take it and get stunned...its affecting your game. The only way it not affecting your game is if its not in the match at the time. Thats it. Otherwise it is.
It doesn't affect your game if it already involves working around DS. I myself and many other killers probably employ the strat of distributing pressure across different survivors and generators instead of focusing on one survivor. Perhaps you've seen a killer play like this before DS was changed? It's not only pretty effective but more fun too.
-
Freddy and Hag lunge the exact same distance as the other killers, you just wouldn't expect it based on their size and weapon.
-
This is pretty specific but not getting to use Diversion for most of the game against stealth killers can make me a little nuts when I get three Ghostfaces or Wraiths in a row. The same can be said about healing perks and the PLAG, but I don't see her too often.

This, and there are people that want to perpetuate the fallacy that well coordinated teams on voice comms are not a big problem in this game.
The same can be said about the inverse. A killer can lie to themselves about the survivor team being an swf so they can perpetuate the fallacy that well coordinated teams on voice comms are a big problem in this game.

I've queued up in the same lobby with survivors before, I've also had the same killers back to back before, the odds aren't all that slim.
This has happened to me as killer. Back to back lobbies of the same set of survivors who don't act like or claim to be swf.

Que times have certainly increased, 10 minutes, sometimes more.
Not same over and over, but often enough, so when I send a gg, they are still in previous messages from other games, where I have messaged them before.
Queue times have increased since when? Are you encountering them more often than before? I remember the high rank environment for killers was always pretty exclusive and I couldn't go a day without running into a killer I had played before.
-
I agree, this shows that players are not compensated enough for playing the game normally and they shouldn't have to resort to farming just so the game doesn't feel like an extreme grind.

I don't think lockers really need a buff.

That was in response to OPs point about killers leaving.
PS4 seems to have lost a bunch of killers.
How can you tell? Are you facing the same killers over and over as survivor?
-
What do you mean abuse?
-
I think it might have something to do with entitlement and wanting to enjoy the game. It's probably fairly simple.

Does that mean that entire playerbase who's not top skill killer shouldn't play ?
Being a bad killer doesn't mean you shouldn't play, it just means you shouldn't expect yourself to win.

You know what's in the middle of healthy and unhealthy....sick.
It's a sick perk that rewards failure to complete your objectives.
If you rely on it for kills , you are not a great killer.
With that said, I understand OPs point that nerfing it is going to force more killers to leave the game.
But on the other side, it may force killers to work on their middle game more.
What do you mean more killers leaving the game? I don't think that many have left so far.

I guess its an Xbox problem that there is almost never a GG. Nobody bothers there to start a conversation unless it has some salty purpose. On Pc it is much more easy - post game chat.
By the way
Can somebody explain me what ggs means?
GG = Good game, everyone knows that, but what is ggs? Good gameS, plural? Makes no sense saying that after one game.. so what is its meaning? ty
On xbox people usually don't go out of their way to send gg but they almost always send one back in my experience.

I would have a clever response but the forums censor profanity so yeah...

Eh pretty boring. Some guy in a mask walks at you and you have no opportunity to hide from him. Basic awareness of your surroundings means you can never be grabbed in this game so he's just a really slow stealth killer. Nothing to complain about but nothing exciting imo.

Oh i agree. I just havent run NOED in a while cause until this last rank reset i was super low ranks (from not playing a lot) so i would get 4ks at yellow ranks all the time. I moved to green and now im seeing DS, Adrenaline, unbreakable, BT a lot more. So basically exactly what youve said, im gonna be bringing perks to negate survivor perks more
Sounds good. Good luck
-
I think it would be cool if its stealth option didn't hinder its mobility, or perhaps even boosted it. I don't think facehuggers would really work in dbd, each trial usually lasts less than 20 minutes which I'm pretty sure isn't enough time for them to be any use. Tracking is an interesting possibility, maybe they could sense the general direction survivors are in or something.

You know, just a small tip, but telling someone off like this makes them less likely to see your point of view, especially if you lowkey called them lesser than you:
I'm not required to stoop to your level. I'm sure if you try real hard, you'll understand eventually.
You're not gonna change anyone's minds by calling them that.
They obviously don't want their mind to be changed, they want to tell off people who disagree with them. Thanks for the advice, but I'd rather not waste my effort :/

I have almost no issues with NOED or its place in the game. NOED makes me mad at my teammates, not the Killer, because I always cleanse at least 3 totems. More power to ya. 🍻
Why get mad at your teammates? They can't tell that you want all the totems cleansed.
-
I think NOED is needed to introduce newer players to game mechanics, but the state it's in is unnecessarily unhealthy. A totem counter and hook requirement would remove these unhealthy aspects completely while still allowing it to do its job of introducing newer players to game mechanics. It's not like NOED is a meta perk and nerfing it would remove a key perk for killers from the meta or anything...
-
Imagine a 4 man swf with toolboxes and 3 brand new part charms each.
-
So you like how Freddy ignores BT? This is the payment required to receive that boon.

I do, because even if i down and kill someone everyone fully heals, everyone still has it even if im not getting hit by all 4 at once, my bad i made that unclear. Its just annoying to see the same 4-5 perks on 4 people at once, likely how its annoying for certain survivors to always see NOED and whatever else they run into constantly.
If I saw that I was denying survivors of their perks I would be glad. To each their own :/

Trap placement and map pressure is not easy to learn or we would not get so many complaint threads about swf swat teams.
As for boring that is subjective as hell.
I escaped plenty of freds with 0-1 k on his end.
Highly doubt that will sate anyone's thirsty ass here for not wanting to nerf him again. Y'all survivor mains just need to get npc killers into the game since your dead set at driving off killer side so much.
If anything cry about doctor or the one hit down killers or how wonky ghostface plays
He doesn't require any additional thinking for his trap placement, it has no downside and you get to retry over and over. His map pressure is probably the easiest to understand in the game, look at the gen and hold the teleport button. I don't want to nerf Freddy, I just think that his power level is not justified by his ease of use and he could do with raising some skill caps. Y'all "killer mains" just need to stop crying about every little thing in the game since you're so dead set on the fact that nothing needs changes at all.

No, a dismissive "lol ok." You responded roughly a minute or less after I said that. You either did not search at all or you searched poorly. Either way.. lol ok.
Not much searching needed when the screen literally says "No results found" on both websites.

I haven't tested this so don't know the answer. I'm interested to hear it and I hope BT has priority and doesn't waste MoM.

Legion also pips easy. Are they not bad? (Well actually I think Legion is mostly in a good spot but disregard that)
