hitbox for survivors

so my last match was actually very fun against a very skilled billy. after the match was pretty much over me and the billy were practicing on a loop he was playing the 90° curve billy with engravings and mix.

after 5-10 minutes of practice i noticed the hitted me alot when my character was around the corner already.

i dont think its ping or latency because it happens a lot against hillbillys. so either its the aim-assist what helps out OR the hitbox of survivors are like a cube.. because when the entire body of the survivor is around the corner and a killer still hits you then it just can be the hitbox of the survivor that also would explain the hits of some killers when the weapon isnt even close to your body. so is the hitbox of the survivor really like a cube and 1,5 bigger then the body model. im trying to figure out the bad registred hits. and the practice with this billy was actually a sign for that.

what do you think?

  • it's a mix of the capsule hitbox with latency. happens a lot against huntress too. corners are deadly.

  • The hitbox of survivors is a "pill". A large, capsule-shaped area that surrounds the entire survivor body.

I know the developers have said that it's not, but it feels like it's MUCH bigger than the visual model of the survivor. Or at least the collision area is, as any survivor that has tried to walk past another survivor in a gap that appears wide enough for three people can tell you.

  • Yeah I think a lot of it comes down to latency. The devs made a good video in their livestream about how the perspectives are different from the killer and survivor due to ping. On their screen, you probably were in front of them at the time.

  • It's probably latency. Even at 80 ms, your hitbox is displaced by about an in game foot. If you're only a foot or less past the corner, don't expect it to protect you.
