I hope you like waiting for matches even longer once people quit.
people dont realize how swf saved dbd, before swf, everyone was dodging to find their friends and killers were not getting many games.

4 man swf is just about impossible to beat. It really is.
It should be 3 man and 2 man. 4 man should be removed.
4 minds and 16 perks working against 1 mind and 4 perks. It breaks the game. Clearly.
SURVIVORS CANT PLAY WITH THEIR FRIENDS THATS NOT OKAY

I'm a survivor main, but think that SWF should be removed from the play selection. VC party never stops using voice comm, and it will cause more nerfs on solo players. The developers should be confident about their product that never lose the majority of players even if they remove it. If the number of players decreases, it is only temporary. Only people who too much rely on the best in the team, leave.
SWF saved dbd, not ruined it, removal of swf wouldn't fix anything. Survivors would just dodge to find there friends, horrible ideology and mindset.

@Victory survivors ruined this game by talking to eachother. You cannot joke about this as its important that killers are the power role without learning to play.
But you want people to work together to overcome the powerful killer? When they do, when you get outplayed, swf is immeaditly blamed on, its so absurd how many times when I am solo, and we 4 out the killer and he says nice swf and leaves. Stop blaming your inability to adapt or get better on swf.

"I consider Noob3 mediocre at best."
Firstly, No0b3 (that 0 is VERY important)
Secondly, the person who survived 13 games in a row a rank 1, non SWF, and 50 games in a row (in SWF, but tbf, it was a SWF of only 2 people: No0b3 and other guy), which is (I think) an unbeatable record, and you consider him "mediocre"... ok then.
Also, for recommendations, I recommend No0b3, Monto, Tru3ta1ent (I think that is how it was spelled), and Puppers.
Considering there was many times were the killers could of killed him via mori/rancor but chose to spare him as they were stream sniping to help his score, I don't count that.

Hey, why get better at a game if you can whine and have the devs kill survivors for you, right? "I got outplayed! and they stayed end game to save a friend I got with noed!! Survivors are op!!! nerf!" Devs: "Alright, here is the plan: the entity will KILL the survivors for you! :) <3.

Legion Rework: The Killer does not see the –only the Deep Wound bar to know that Deep Wound has been applied.
Go play survivor for once, we have little to no information, we have to run perks just to make solo survivor somewhat playable. But hey, why get better at a game if all you can do is whine to get what you want? I mean, the devs are quite literally giving killers a mechanic to kill survivors for them if they can't.
-
Completely useless in red ranks. She was fine on PTB. Now she's even weaker. You can't make a build that covers enough of her weak points:
Maybe, have you ever considered, that its the player, not the killer for once?

This actually explains a lot. The Killer seems really OP in this iteration.
well the survivors had no idea what they were doing though, but gens took 60s to do and goods gave 5% progress and greats gave 10%, 40 pallets vaccum pallets and vaults, if survivors today were in alpha the killer wouldnt even hit anyone
-
Survivor Perk Jane Teachable I was wondering if the perk might be bugged on ps4?
Basically, if theyre in front of the locker, at any point you rushed out of the locker, as soon as you land and regained control of your survivor, they will get stunned, no matter how far away they were when you landed. Its on activation, not when you land, thats what confuses people.

If there's a single dull totem left on the map by the time the exit gates are powered, NOED comes into effect.
Sure, with that logic, cleansing a dull should reward lightbringer and hurt the killers gatekeeper since it is an objective, also because it is an objective, add a counter to the HUD.

Actually body blocking is underneath "griefing", survivors can not make killers move, however, killers can make survivors move thus making killer basement blocking bannable.

Not a change to the base. A potential buff to Boil OverThe problem I see with that is that I think boil over is already effective in certain maps like Haddonfield, Springwood and Lery's. It might turn up OP in said maps if it's buffed.
It would be a niche perk, but if you play killer a lot you'll have hooks memorized anyways. Hook obsecuring is 12m, you can get to hooks I believe you can get up to 50m without carrying perks. (correct me if im wrong)

Think twice before you post. A perk already exists to escape from the killer. We do not need a change to the Main Mechanic, but a Buff for Boil Over.Yes but if you dont run DS, killers dont have to have optimal routing to get to a hook, you can run into a dozen things before making up your mind and still make the hook. Issue really is killers get Invinc frames in the hook animation. People keep using logic here as an arguement, well I think a survivor is going to kick you in your chest if you try to hook them, no invinc frame.

Legion is fine how he is... He just needs a slight nerf to his feral frenzy... And maybe make him more realistic...
E.g.
Walk Speed: 4.0 m/s
Feral Frenzy Speed: 5.2 m/s
Height: Average
Terror Radius: 284 m/s would make Legion the same exact speed as survivors meaning they would only ever be able to catch up with bloodlust or feral frenzy, which to my knowledge I'm pretty sure the majority of players want to go down to a normal chase, not being stabbed 4 times with their power. Your straight up nerf to Legion would make him the actual worst killer in the game and give them the excuse to retain broken addons like frank's mixtape.
Regarding the OP, I actually like this rework idea, it's pretty cool - I remember putting up a rework for the legion a while ago but I don't think the post ever actually took off. But I like the fact that you incorporated a way to use each legion member, though maybe instead of having Joey be the member with the slowest vault speed, perhaps allow him to be the member that can break pallets?
@Mr_Black Legion is fine how he is? No not really. The nerfs you put are worse then what the Devs did to poor Freddy, but at least you can make the argument that Freddy can still consistently kick more arse.
@vampire_toothy Thank you, friend. I'll look through and see if I can find your discussion, then I'll read and leave a comment. Regarding your suggestion, hmm, it would certainly give him that brute status. I'll add it.
(Oh geez, I shudder at the amount of coding it would take to implement this idea.)
He needs no buff... He needs a tad nerf on his base speed... He is primarily a chaser, with his feral frenzy, he doesn't need base speed... They also need to solve the whole deep wounds pausing thing... The Legion can just look down when chasing and the timer will carry on...
People say that I'm delusional sometimes. But I doubt whatever drink I can get my hands on will make me as delusional as you. I assume you are a troll and if so, I congratulate you, but if not, please, step away from this thread.
You need to accept criticism... If anything, Legion will get a tad nerf... Legion does not need fast base speed as his feral frenzy gets him to run at more than 4.6m/s... No need to increase their walking speed... And what you suggested was insane as that'd make Legion pretty OP... And his one counter play is gen rushing... This idea would make it impossible to counter him...
By your profile pic, I assume you are a Legion main and highly biassed towards him... Legion is the ultimate chaser... He needs no buff...You sound like someone who only plays survivor and never plays killer. He wants to change legion and if you actually read his post which from your entitled stand point of not wanting to make the game healthier by fixing legion, you probably didn't. He took away some of his brainless chase power adding more counterplay.

Their goal was to make it less powerful in 4 man swf, its unuseable in solo play with the change, but...in swf? Huge buff! Can't slug them otherwise they can get up or run unbreakable, and in the end game vs 4 ds and BT...Good luck. I mean I main survivor so Ill take a ds buff anyday
There must be something I am missing. I have read over the changes multiple times and I cannot see how the new DS rework is anything but a nerf to the perk. I could be mistaken and if so please explain . .
Current DS
- Use DS at any point in the game 1 time (when being carried/not being dribbled) - Can technically be used for the duration of a trial, until used
New DS
- Unusable until hooked at least once - This is 100% better than the current DS
- Only usable after being unhooked or freeing yourself for 60 seconds - You can only be unhooked twice (third hook instant death) meaning you can only use DS for 120 seconds during a trial
- Cannot dribble to avoid getting DS - Which makes sense if they can only use the perk potentially for 120 seconds
Only being able to use DS after being unhooked for 60 seconds, Only 2 possible chances to use DS per trial (per person). A theoretical trial lasts 10 minutes, current DS you can use for 10 minutes. New DS regardless of how long the trial lasts you can only usable for 120 seconds total
I could be totally wrong about how this works. Though I have read the new DS notes a few times and I cannot see how it is anything but a nerf to the perk. Is it the fact that with the new DS you can't dribble the survivor why killers might not see this as a nerf?
I play Killer and Survivor about 1:2 so I can assume (we haven't been able to play with New DS yet) from both sides.
As Killer while I won't always be able to find the Survivor who saved the hooked survivor. If I make it back in time to see where both of them went I am highly encouraged to go after the saving survivor vs the unhooked survivor. Or if you use enduring take the DS and give them ~1 second to get a head start and get it out of the way.
As Survivor I don't use the current DS and I can't see the new DS being very popular unless survivors want some type of temporary anti-tunnel defense when unhooked.
If I am wrong please let me know and tell me how, specifically. Like many of us I am interested in learning exactly how the New DS change will work.
Well, it affects early game mainly, but in end game where killers already have a hard time, it basically seals the deal, e.g BT, unbreakable, and now this ds. If a killer doesnt tunnel all game he basically kind of has to end game if the person unhooking is healthy, and the person with BT will just take a hit and lets say you manage to get them, well, boom ds in the face. Or, you want to slug? Unbreakable, you basically you need to try and eat through these strong perks early game as fast as you can early game. Obviously, there is exceptions to this like nurse or billy but DS really hasnt ever affected them as much, since most billy's have enduring and nurse is nurse.

Do NOT be disrespectful. What's your opinion on intentionally De-Ranking for any reason?
Personally, I feel like it ruins the gameplay experience on so many levels, whether that means destroying lower ranked survivors, frustrating new killers, or carrying less skillful players in matches that should be learning experiences for them.
I'm personally hoping that with the eventual installation of dedicated servers, that harsher penalties follow.
Most people dont rerank to ruin others experiences, but so they stop facing the SAME people over and over and over again. Really this should be directed at the devs for such poor match making rather than the players

its over in minutes with omega blink too.
Is omega blink 3-5 blinks or is it when a Nurse has both range addons? Nobody ever explained it to me lol.
its ataxic respiration, and catatonic boy's treasure ( the range addons)
Because the blink accuracy isn't an actual stat.
They're ridiculously overpowered. I use it as Nurse. Unless I'm in Yamokas estate (where I struggle to find even 1 survivor), I do extremely well
I don't see why these addons are overpowered tbh. Yes they are strong, but op? I mean, these addons are helping to cover distance quick, mostly for patrolling gens. But in a chase it's like beeing addonless, they don't really help
they dont COVER distance quicker, it gives more distance TO cover which are different things. They are game breaking op, end the "chase" in 5s or less. A good nurse will 4k in about a minute with this, but its not being good, just a mediocre nurse will 4k with this, and a bad nurse will get kills no matter what, there is no excuse in it.

Either all totems are lit, or dull. Doesn't even matter if the killer uses a hex perk or not.
If a killer uses a hex perk, all totems could be lit, or all of them will be dull.
If they don't, either of those 2 results happen. My idea: each hex totem adds an extra totem to the trial. This extra totem is also lit, the totem however is a decoy. If the decoy totem gets cleansed, then the survivor who cleansed the totem's aura will be revealed for 3/4/5s, also notifiing you. In addition, the survivor suffers from the exposed status effect for 15/25/35 seconds. I'd also make hex totems take 15s to clenase instead of 10, and remove the time added from thrill of the hunt, and the notification should be baseline. Noed would clearly need a rework as noed would become too powerful with this change, No one escapes death reworked- Once the exit gates are powered, your next 0/1/2 attacks will inflict dying upon your victim. Your movement speed is increased by 6/6.5/7% for the rest of the trial. Reason why its only 2 downs at tier 3 is because 2 free downs in the end game can cause a lot of pressure, esp if you slug, 2 free downs is more than enough.

@Rebel_Raven
Same colour rank should be enough. Although this game needs a rework on its rank system, but that's a different topic...Still will not stop mixed ranks from doing SWF, or else it would probably destroy SWFs, or lead to way more alt accounts, or survivors depipping.
At least the latter might benefit killers some.
And the devs have to be careful about how they rebalance how SWF finds killers lest they make the survivors mad. I really do feel like they're scared of survivors.A lot of SWFs are either powerleveling, or people looking to curbstomp.
Yep, smurfing will always be an issue with this ranking system, no way around it.
We need a casual/ranked mode for 1, ( still doesnt change the fact that the killers wont have fun in casual vs swf ), 2. I think we need an ELO system so they can set specific standards in which range you guys can queue in. I also do think we need a training mode ( other than kyf ) so if you really are a high rank player you can still enjoy the game with your friend who is in the lowest tiers. -

Object of obssesion needs to be disabled in swf. This is non negotiable. Having a uav detailing the movements of the killer is utter nonsense. Penalties should be put on gen progression as standard with swf on account of removing all ambiguity over who is and isnt being chased the current position of a killer and gen progress across the map.As for the op i have played solo survivour as standard. I dont need adreanline, ds, comms or instas to have a stress free game just map knowledge good looping and a tempered altruism. For every bad game i had where i was facecamped and tunneled i had survivours pull off acts of impresive altruism without shocker coms.
Swf is a crutch and should be relegated to casual play not ranked. Playing well in a com team is not as impressive as playing without coms and using keen awareness to know what you need to be doing.
I agree. We need a ranked/ casual mode for this. I hope the devs in 2019 will implement this.

I really want a perk that makes survivors think twice about teabagging or waiting until a killer hits them.I will base the new NOED or new perk, around current NOED and Bloodwarden.
Once all generatiors are completed you gain haste 4-6% and gain decrease cooldown % on weapon hits.
Once all gates are open, survivors no longer hear terror radius when in the vacinity of the exit gate, and are in the exposed status (not given icon to surprise survivors.) If a survivor is hit, the exit gates are closed for (1-4 seconds)
Is no longer a hex perk.
Reasoning - With how controversial NOED is and DS getting reworked (hopefully), I thought it would be a decent idea to bring back the weapon CD and increase the MS, allowing you to get survivors must faster without the instadown. The no terror radius will allow surprise attacks for cocky survivors and the bloodwarden affect is to catch survivors and preventing them from crawling away.
Well balancing around survivors BMing is a horrible way to go, as killers have ways of bming as well. Anyways, in general rework seems solid and makes the perk more clutch instead of crutch. However, if the killer is at the exit gates after misplaying an unhook and the survivors get there, that will just reward bad play like the old noed.

More bps for facing swfs is a terrible idea.
Good killers already get more bps when playing against swf because they tend to be more altruistic, trigger more chases, etc. When i play against swf i always get more bps EVEN if i get less kills.
Giving more bps for facing swf would make more people to play as a killer, meaning that killers would have longer queues (especially during extra bps events). If were applying SKILL as a main factor, thats irrelevent, and this can just cause a loophole. GOOD swf wont be overly altrustic, in fact my swf teams we arent mega altruisitc we let people rot on hooks and rush gens, run 3 man -4 man ds's adrenalin etc and t he killer comes out with 9k-12k because the killer is at our mercy. This is why skill is not involved into this and whyI didn't even mention skill.

To be honest, playing survivor is the slowest way to get BP. To make it even slower and penalize people for playing with friends seems pretty silly to be honest. Only if you play on low ranks.
Otherwise survivors and killers get roughly the same amount per hour. Eh, I don't usually feel it's that way in my experience, maybe I'm a terrible survivor. But I always find myself getting between 12 - 20K as a survivor and between 20 - 30K Additionally with BBQ being such a useful perk, in line with its requirements to just hook survivors (once each) it's very easy to net 40/50K every game with a killer where as with survivors WGLF you're fighting other survivors for the unhooks and are more likely to not get full stacks. That's my experience anyway Dev stream explained once that the amount is roughly the same per hour. If survivor has a bad match he can enter directly a new one. Killer is stuck until everyone is dead or left.
So per match they vary, but per hour it's the same amount. I think we can agree BBQ is probably the number one killer perk by usages. I don't think their numbers would have taken that into account, BBQ simply gives you double BP for playing the match throughout. Not to mention some survivors are in the match for the same amount of time as the killer with less gains. WGLF is the survivor equivalent. Gaining stacks is easier than getting BBQ stacks. Despite the competition.
If a survivor stays until the end and has significant less points than the killer. Said survivor didn't interact a lot with the killer.
WGLF stacks are much harder to earn because BBQ is rewarding you for doing your objective but WGLF rewards you for rushing a hook which is hard since basically everyone just rushes hooks.
Nope, BBQ stacks are harder to get. Since you have to hook everyone once.
WGLF stacks are easier, since you can get them through different ways. Not only unhooks.Fake news! BBQ tokes are easier, you even get auras of the others. WGLF however; causes survivors to go out of their WAY to throw the game to get tokens, e.g taking useless hits (sometimes is wonky and you still dont get a token), race for the unhook so no one is on gens thus encouraging a camp, and potential farming. You really should play survivor instead of 100% killer before commenting on posts.

I mean, hear me out-I’m neither a killer or survivor main. I play both regularly. So I’ve seen both sides of the fence when it comes to going against or working with a group of SWF.
We’ve had this discussion time and time again. SWF grants players a bunch of perks due to being in communication, and if you get the right group together, it’s really toxic.
When you’re a solo survivor and get lumped in with a group of 2 or 3 SWF, they’ll sandbag you to hell and back. They’ll bring the killer to you, let you die on hook, basically guinea pig you. You really gotta be good at being a dolor stealther to avoid SWF sandbagging.
So why is it that SWF awards all trophies and all bloodpoints, when something like KYF doesn’t award anything at all? Because of the slight advantage, I think SWF should only grant a certain percentage of the BP. I think half would be more than fair.
No, punishing survivors for playing with their friends is inappropriate, give killer 50% more BP gain vs SWF, the killer needs a benefit, not punish the survivors.

Fake news my friend, in 1.9 they made nurse's lunge to match that of a regular killers lunge. Before 1.9 it was roughly same distance as boyfriends memo myers in t1.

Victory said:I find it amusing that DS is still on the superficial for killers to whine about. I made a list of 20 ways to help deal with/completely ruin the perk. Decisive Strike Counters
Dribble
High floor drop (causing survivors to take the drop down recovery)
body block them into an enclosed corner
Enduring
Literally just taking the DS early on in the match
Unnerving
Doctor
Swing (Sometimes it causes the ds to not work, most likely a bug, but it is there)
Shaking your head
Slugging
Clown gas before pick up
Forcing survivors to ds you into trap on trapper
Bamboozle
Nurse
Mori
Iron Grasp to an extent
Mad Grit
Agitation
Huntress' Lullaby
Rancor
I know, killers really hate having to optimize in order to counter a perk, but a perk should counter a perk. If a perk is your issue, why don't you have to use a perk that counters it? The logic that ive seen in this thread that "I shouldn't have to bring a perk to counter a perk" I've seen people saying makes no sense and very flawed logic, it makes me think if this is the 1st online competitive game you guys have played. Even certain killers ruin the perk, and if a survivor lands an unerving shaky skillcheck with lullaby? They 100% earn to get out then. Lets talk about noed, 1. 10s to cleanse each totem, 5 totems, thats 50 seconds total which evens out to be 12.5s of extra time for the killer alone, not counting the TIME it takes to run around and find a totem to cleanse it, etc, etc. NOED is a very stupid-strong perk that killers just put on and get use from the start of the game, there is no counterplay to noed like people insist, its a free win, really, it is.
Lmao at this list of counters.
Some of them like high drops and bamboozle are so damn situational that it's ridiculous you would even list them. How often does the survivor go down right in the perfect location? If you don't have Enduring drops dont even work, they can still get away, and this isn't even taking into account balanced landing.
Nurse/clown....yeah great news for the other 12 killers in the game. "Just stick with 2 killers guyz!!". Clowns bottles dont even work against it without Enduring fyi.
Mori? Yup I'll be sure to bring one of those every single game
Rancor? Worthless perk. Most killers try to win before the gens are done. Good luck actually finding the obsession once the fens are done though, considering you get a ping of 4 survivor locations while they get a full aura read. The obsession goes full stealth at this point. Apparantantly Rancor needed the aura read as a negative to balance it....god knows why every perk needs a counter or downside EXCEPT for decisive strike. One of the nost powerful perks in the game and no downside. Even Deliverance has a broken effect and it's nowhere near as powerful as DS.
Huntress lullaby? Totem perk, worthless.
Mad grit? Ok now I know you're trolling
Shaking your head? We've all tried it, doesn't work against most survivors. I mean this is how pathetic the situation is, we're reduced to spinning our mouse and hoping and wishing the guy on the other end fails a skill check. [BAD WORD] garbage game design.
Eating it early? Yeah dont bother trying to put pressure on surviors, just throw the game to take care of Mr D-strike.
The only ways to reliably deal with it are dribbling, which wastes time, gives other survivors a chance to interrupt with a flashlight, bodyblock or instaheal, and is dependent on there being a hook within a very short range.
The only other way is taking Enduring and throwing them down the basement stairs or something, which again is extremely situational.
Its easily one of the single most powerful perks in the entire game given the damage it can cause to the other side yet has absolutely no downside. It's broken beyond belief. A team with 4 of them is basically the equivalent to a killer taking an ebony mori.
HA! I've hoped you'd respond to this. Lets see, mad grit actually counters all the latter DS's you'll have to go through, same with IG/AG. Totem perks are SITUATIONAL, not worthless. Also, I mentioned the killers because a lot of the people who seem to legit whine about DS all the time seem to not care enough to actively counter it and isntead want to whine, I play literally all killers except doctor and clown funny enough, and DS has never been my problem because enduring makes it so worthless. Same goes to mori, all you ever do is whine instead of solve, so I gave people who aren't problem solvers a list of ways to deal with this "crutch"." Lmao" at your poor attempts to problem solve and rather come to the forums and whine about everything in this game. Next thing Im going to see you post is that survivors can run and thats "OP". Sorry you have to work for kills instead of being handed kills like food, please play survivor as well instead of whining all the time. Winter party starters ARE SO OP!!!!!!!!! REEEEE! insert entitled survivor main comment here.

I find it amusing that DS is still on the superficial for killers to whine about. I made a list of 20 ways to help deal with/completely ruin the perk. Decisive Strike Counters
1. Dribble
2. High floor drop (causing survivors to take the drop down recovery)
3. body block them into an enclosed corner
4. Enduring
5. Literally just taking the DS early on in the match
6. Unnerving
7. Doctor
8. Swing (Sometimes it causes the ds to not work, most likely a bug, but it is there)
9. Shaking your head
10. Slugging
11. Clown gas before pick up
12. Forcing survivors to ds you into trap on trapper
13. Bamboozle
14. Nurse
15. Mori
16. Iron Grasp to an extent
17. Mad Grit
18. Agitation
19. Huntress' Lullaby
