Next time they add more killers so you get to play your main but 2vs8 just show people don't want to play survivor enough. Everyone want to play killer because it's the power and fun role.
That would be because there are no additional mechanics or that much to really improve on as Survivor. What needs to be done is adding more actual mandatory objectives. Not just bandaid fixes as perks that add optional objectives like lockers, totems, and chests.
-
Using an intended mechanic of the mode isn't an exploit, a hack, or a cheat.
This much aura read is intentional in the mode to keep it fast paced and about chase because everyone's overpowered in it. If it bothers you, you could always slap on Distortion in 1v4 mode instead.
-
It's just part of being screwed over by RNG, and it happens on Killer side too. There's really no fix for this because they can't make maps bigger (Killers are allowed to have fun too), they can't add too much junk tiles (again, no point in adding more pallets when half struggle with a tiny loop and half just hit over them), and they can't just fix them to the spot (or else every SWF will offer the obviously Survivor sided map and pray for an M1 Killer). To make the game accessible for EVERYONE who wants to play ANY Killer, they have to cut somewhere to make it less safe for Survivors. In this case it's the maps.
Sorry, man. Just a consequence of RNG. You can live with it, or I guess ask BHVR to permanently fix every structure on the map to a specific point which would ruin some of the fun, I feel.
-
I have plenty of fun derping around in SWF with my friends, and still enjoy many Killers. The game occasionally is frustrating but that's part of the experience, no different from a hard game like Dark Souls or something.
Maybe you just need a break, dawg. Nothing wrong with taking a break to deal with Burnout.
-
How can you say this when rework Knight exists?
-
We'll have to see if the queue DOES fix itself with time, I am scared it won't.
I also think, come on now, we should be able to pip. Why the heck can't we pip? :( We could every other mode…
-
I think the mode should still be harder for Survivors to survive (horror mode) and a bit easier for Killers, but I agree. There was simultaneously not enough for Survs to fight back with, and not enough info for Killers to NOT tunnel and camp, especially Killers with no basekit info. It relied on Killers playing nice to make it fun, fortunately most of my experiences were fun in that regard. But the problem is there was no resistance for Killers and not much Survivors could do about it, while also making it way too easy to tunnel back to hooks.
I say give Survs some MINOR tool to help (like maps were in the mode) to give them a shot, and give Killers some MINOR aura read or Spies basekit or something so they have a reason to chase more and not just camp hooks. Does it ruin the mode's point a bit? Maybe. Does it make it healthier and more balanced? Yes. By far. -

Only killer because that side is more fun. Survivors has instant quequeas on both modes.
That's the problem. Not enough Killers available to choose from, and not enough for Survivors to do. It's too easy and too repetitive, DBD without any of the soul in it and only 5 Killers.
We'll see if it improves next time it comes around, if not BHVR really needs to think about if it's a good idea to sacrifice queue times for this one mode. If anything I want it back but ONLY if I can play at least some of my Mains. Please, BHVR. I am sick of three Killers I'm not even into, basic Trapper I kinda do OK with, and Wraith.
Plus side, maybe it will convince people that waiting for better matchmaking is a better idea than five seconds for a bad round that either is stomp or be stomped because we're all too impatient, and they'll actually fix matchmaking. -

Exactly, and as I think about it more, I 'm not sure they should expand the killer roster, at least not fully.
Part of me wants to play my main killers in 2v8, but I think that expansion might ruin the mode. At they very least they should be very intentional about which killers they implement, because I can easily imagine some profoundly unfun combinations.
I can comfortably say that if I can't choose anyone I want between my roster of Ghostface, Pinhead, Dredge, Onryo, Wraith, Myers, Legion, Nemesis, and Demogorgon in 2v8, I do not wanna play Killer 2v8 longterm. It would absolutely turn me off of the mode entirely if I can't at least play as Ghostface, Dredge, Onryo, or other simple characters in my roster alongside just Wraith. I specialize in stealth, mobility, and info-based Killers. I want to be able to play that in 2v8 in a way that isn't just Wraith being my one and only option.
I want the ability to play Characters I enjoy in the mode. Otherwise half the fun for me is kinda gone. I don't want to be restricted. I understand maybe not allowing someone like Onryo or Pinhead or anyone who spawns an interactable like Nemesis, but if they don't allow my stalky boys it's over. -
They've extended it for a week so this entire week for those who wanna play anyone other than the main 5 Killers is kind of a wash. The mode is fun, it should return, I love it, but NOT in this iteration. I would much rather play Chaos Shuffle as a permanent mode, I had a lot of fun with it and liked the non-sweaty chaos of it. In this mode, people have already optimized it both sides and there's not much to do as Survivor. It feels like DBD with the soul stripped out after a bit, and at this point I am only playing for tome stuff and because my friends want to. I don't even get the satisfaction of getting a pip up.
However… If people love this mode for the fast BP, and don't care about pips and grades anymore as a result… could that not be a sign that Grades and pipping entirely need to be removed from the game? I can make more BP with the 400% in 2v8 even when I lose than I can grinding pips each month. It begs the question… are grades and pips now too sweaty and unneeded in modern DBD? Would anyone care if they got removed? I know for me, I'd be happy to see both go, I think they incentivize competitiveness in a bad way. Why measure how much we play a month at all? Just make Survivor have a permanent 400% BP. With the number of characters and stuff in this game, surely that wouldn't be a problem these days.
-
I'm kinda not interested in more 2v8 until they add any of my Mains.
2v8 as Ghostface sounds like a hoot.
-
The mode has trashed queue times all this month. Both sides.
It needs to leave after this extension. They need to work on it more. It's fun… for a bit. But it's not enough right now.
-
I'm seeing it both sides. Why? It's super easy to win in this mode both sides.
I just want my Mains and pipping in this mode and then I might actually play it. As it is now it's only good for grinding tome stuff.
-
It's overstayed its welcome.
Tunnelling and slugging every round. Survivor teammates do nothing or all run the same exact classes determined to be meta. Getting sandbagged by seven other people. Survivor is too easy to win, Killer is also too easy to be carried in, no challenge, no soul. Sick of every other round being a Huntress sniping from hills or a Trapper who I can't even loop before his partner comes in and wails on me. Sick of being double tapped. Can't play any of my Mains to make it fun, sick of Wraith who's the only one I know well here or Killers I don't play. We don't even have 400% incentive for Survivor anymore, nor do we have any new maps and we also don't even pip in it, so it's a massive waste of time if you want BP. Queue times for Killer are bad, queue times in Main Mode aren't great either. Nothing new to do and all the chaotic charm has worn off because everyone's already optimized it. It's only good for doing tome stuff as Survivor, and only fun if you like the first five Killers. It's ruining the main mode's queues too. I can literally only play about five rounds as Survivor before I get SO BORED and want to be in 1v4 again.So. Friggin'. Bored. And tired. Of 2v8. I'm gonna try to go back to main mode, and hope queues aren't awful. I'm happy those who wanted it get it but this trend in allowing queues both sides to fester isn't good; they cannot afford to extend it another week beyond this. Please just bring back Chaos Shuffle.
-
I created an idea for a rework to Lights Out over in the Suggestions area. I DO NOT wanna see classes in Lights Out, it's too basic a mode for that. it needs more to it but Classes aren't it.
-
I think… this is another part of why Distortion is being changed. Ratting like this isn't okay.
-

I disagree with your 1st 2nd point. What was fun of this mod is to have no infos. Npt knowing where to loop or if the killer was csmping was pretty fun. To be unsure of every moment! I wish they removed the red stains too. Dont add info to this game mode
Well yes I agree. But the problem is the rest of the community doesn't, and the mode was thus a failure because the rest of the community hated this.
How would you fix the mode to be better for everyone?

Farming, chilling, or being a friendly Killer is not bannable, though Mandy has stated it's "frowned upon" and "not in the spirit" of the game. I say, play how you want.
This is rare outside of BP events too. I'll occasionally do it but usually I kill two, get the hooks on the last two, and let them go if I do.
-
I agree that aura reading should be muted if the person is healing after being removed from a cage in 2v8. I don't like that it enables possible tunnelling.
In the last few days I did and do see optimizing. Everyone is Huntress and Wraith or Trapper, and everyone is running ONLY Escapist and Guide, with a Scout or two. It's been optimized.

I think 2v8 is the closest we'll get to a "casual" dbd experience. Preset perks and enough leeway to learn from mistakes.
People have been wanting away from comp dbd and I believe 2v8 is setting the course for that. Hell, add a few more classes for like boons and deceptions and it'll get better. I hope.
I actually think Chaos Shuffle was closer to casual DBD, 2v8 has too many things that can be optimized from Killer combos to Survivor classes to ever truly feel "casual". I fear the same competitive creep that 1v4 suffers will worm its way into 2v8, destroying what made it casual - the chaos when everyone didn't know what to do yet.
Any time you give things that can combo, especially in strong ways, to the players they will find a way to optimize it. Chaos Shuffle you could not do that, and arguably it was much more casual for it than 2v8 could ever be. Already 48 hours before its end, we've found that Killers and Survivors have optimized the mode. It will only get worse for 2v8 as more things are added unless the Devs balance things out better so that cannot happen as readily.

the problem is that when you say "if you're upset, bring it to BHVR". but like, how? if not here?
obviously we want to bring this to bhvr's forums, so that they'll see it. but then, doing so breaks the forum rules. not only are the moderator's hands tied, so are ours, to an extent. and until there's an official and public response saying that they've heard us, neither side gets to stop.
it sucks.
and in the meantime, there's bigots taking shots at queer people all the while, all over the forum.
The problem is the Devs aren't going to see this, and the forum is still not the place to discuss politics. Address them to BHVR directly. And both sides can stop at any time, just neither is willing TO stop and try to address it in a more direct manner than posting on the forums and stirring the pot.
And yes, it really does suck.
You need to send these concerns via email to BHVR directly, there's a method for that. Here is REALLY not the place. What you actually want to do is submit a report via email by going here, not posting on the forums and stirring up another avenue for toxicity that causes a place for bigots taking potshots to congregate. Remember to follow up on your emails when they respond promptly, or they close the ticket within 72 hours. The Mods have stated as have the rules that this forum is not for politics or political discourse. If you're seeing bigots taking potshots on the forums, flag the comment, don't give them attention by pointing out they exist.
I am very tired of living in interesting times, I just want to play my Slasher game without too much of the same bigotry I face daily as a queer, female, autistic gamer being there or on the forums I discuss the game in. I care. We all care. I just am sick of always being expected to care 24/7, and I expect others are the same. Empathy fatigue is real.
-
I'm not sure how many people like horror lit here, but if nobody has read any of Robert W. Chambers' The King in Yellow that's one helluva weird, good read.
I'd also like to recommend if you want unhinged visuals and an absolutely OPPRESSIVE feeling film, the stop motion film Mad God. It's truly bleak, and very unforgettably strange.
-
PTBs are a fine enough idea, but make it so EVERYONE can opt in. Otherwise console users never get to have feedback.
-
As stated the mods don't have a choice in this and can't do anything about this decision, if you're upset about this (I am too, trust me, I don't like it either as a queer gamer myself), bring it to BHVR. Politically charged discussions like this, and yes it IS Political despite being about human rights, don't belong here. It's too easy to cause severe ragebaiting, trolling, and even could attract bigots looking to hurt people to the forums to mess with others. It's just not a good idea and creates more arguments than needed.
Thread about to get locked in three, two…

Please. I don't need Ormond offerings as Ghostface and I don't want all these flashlights, I don't even like USING flashlights.
-
I most certainly would know, as I have a Youtube channel. As of my last count, I have around 100+ vids of me playing Survivor, and +60 of me as various Killers. If this was a subtle jab at me being "a Killer Main" just because I have more hours as Killer and despite playing more Survivor as of late, it was a failed one. Also I think you must be well aware that watching a bunch of DBD content doesn't make you good at the game, it just means you have more idea of how the game is played. You need to put it into practice or the skill does not translate.
And none of this, utterly none, has anything to do with me wanting the game to be more balanced. That's not a "Killer Main" thing, that's a "I play DBD and want the game to be fun" thing, but unfortunately it seems you've read around that part in both threads you keep pinging me in despite my desperate attempts to clarify your misunderstanding.

I thoughly enjoy slugging sue me.
You immediately deflected when I offered proof of not being just a Killer Main… why? For someone concerned that I am "outing herself as a Killer Main", you're currently outing yourself as a toxic Killer with this statement, one who has to use a type of play that most actual long term Killers don't need to use and don't enjoy doing in particular all because a bad mechanic was removed. It just isn't the own you think it is.
I don't really understand your logic or your need to get the last word, but it looks like this will not improve if I continue the conversation, so I suppose I'll be ignoring your responses to me from now on. Have a lovely day. I'm glad your Killer games will no longer require you or me or anyone else to slug as often.

Emblems are based on an outdated and outmoded system that doesn't reward true player skill, only escapes and Kills really. It badly needs fixing.

500hrs roughly spread across platforms. After having 50 killstreak I ended up getting better survivors. 4500hrs survivor.
I go where the BP bonus goes.
500 hours is pretty new to the game still as either role, most decent players range in the thousands of hours. You should know that as a 4500 hour Survivor main. I have 1500 myself mainly as Killer, and still consider myself pretty baby, as would most people around my time.
But you do unintentionally point out something - after about 500 hours, you've already hit the softcap and you have only been playing the equivalent of about half a year. Is it really fair for people who are still new and learning game intricacies to hit the softcap this easily?
-
I play both sides and more Survivor at that, would you like a link to my Youtube channel?
Lose-lose scenarios are unfair, unfun, and bad game balance on both sides. You're the one who is heavily biased if you think otherwise.
Find another tool to help you survive rounds besides abuse of bad game design.
-
2v8 is fun but this isn't sustainable longterm. I would rather a rotating modifier queue that alternates with events, a different mode every Month.
Lights Out was a failure but that's because it didn't provide enough for Survivors, they literally had next to nothing. Reiterate on this, make it more balanced and less obviously Killer-sided, and give both sides a bit more to help them out in tracking, and the mode could be just fine. It really needs to go back to the drawing board and get some fixes because for the majority of Survs it wasn't fun and as certain Killers it was too easy. Personally I liked it on both sides, but it really needs reworking if it EVER comes back - and I hope it does, because a jumpscare mode that's also a hardcore Survivor mode is a fun idea and was a fun idea.
Chaos Shuffle was perfect. Don't change a thing.
2v8 is for the Killers. It needs more for Survivors to do, it needs more maps and more Killers and classes, and it needs some heavy balancing to make it fair. Some classes are too strong, others are very weak. Some Killer combos are super OP and others are too weak. I have no clue how you'd make some Killers work at all or be anything near fair in this mode. Since Survs understand the gist now, maybe have 10 gens? Let us pip in it too, and also the queue times NEED to be made more fair. Killers like this mode because it's less stressful and you get to have a friend, Survivors find it kinda boring after a bit and the only incentive was the BP.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/423256/can-we-update-the-survivors
You don't need to run faster, survivors in 2vs8 spawn significantly more pallets for them to use, to the point that if you know how to loop modestly well you should have a resource to use almost every single time.
As a result its actually much easier in 2vs8 to face killers 1 on 1, its only when 2 come after you that your options get really slim.
I'm actually looking forward to going back to 1vs4, cause I feel like 2vs8 is making me lazy as a survivor...
This is a good point and a great argument for why the maps with tons of vaults and pallets badly need less of them. When a map has too many resources and is too safe, it makes Survivor too easy and thus too safe. You are supposed to exhibit skill in chaining loops as Survivor, what skill is there in using a map with a billion safe pallets and vaults? It actively as you put it here makes you "lazy" as Survivor because now looping is trivial. What skill is there in such easy looping? I too found the sheer number of escape options so high in 2v8, it was almost kinda boring.
You aren't supposed to feel safe as Survivor in a survival horror experience. What good survival horror game has an abundance of resources for players, anyway?
-
This change was needed.
It wasn't good or fair gameplay that a team could create an entire hook deadzone to the point that the Killer was forced to slug them to do anything.
It wasn't okay that Survivors could deadzone maps like Eyrie, Badham, or Ormond so they could all abuse those maps to annoy the Killer on purpose and force a slug situation.
It wasn't alright that you could run Petrified Oaks, Sabo and Wiggle perks, and then force a Survivor-sided map in the hopes you get an M1 Killer or new Killer that you can abuse that build on, creating constant deadzones and a situation where picking up was so detrimental that the Killer could not feasibly get any hooks and had to slug everyone.
It wasn't okay that comp corner abuse was, and is, still a thing, and deadzones made this worse. In fact I think remote hooking or a basekit Agitation should make a comeback SPECIFICALLY for cases where the Killer has no valid hooks within 16 m, because comp corners are still an issue. That, or put a hook hard-coded specifically in every single known comp corner area so this does not happen.
There was no equivalent feature really on Survivor, breaking tons of pallets to make an area unsafe doesn't compare because several maps still, quite frankly, have way too many pallets and vaults clustered together, in a way that's unfeasible for the Killer to make deadzones at all, but not in the same way as hooks could be destroyed like this. I'm looking at you, Gideon and Swamp.
There was no way a Killer could counterplay this or even prevent this feasibly, Killer is already a heavily info-heavy and time-crunched role by design and you don't always have a choice in where you get to hook. It wasn't fair that Survivors could with enough knowledge control where and when exactly they got to go down, thus ensuring situations that created total lose-lose for the Killer that they couldn't counterplay - especially as M1s. We CANNOT keep making the Killer experience worse just because Blight and Nurse exist and don't have issues with changes like these, because the entire rest of the Roster DOES have issues with it.
This is a survival horror experience and Survivors are not, NOT intended to be the power role - Killers are. You aren't supposed to ever fully feel safe as a Survivor, that's kind of the point. Survivors are supposed to eventually go down in chase in a reasonable amount of time (about a minute per the last Dev data), gens are supposed to be somewhat defended to stop escapes, and Killers are supposed to eventually hook Survivors to get their points. There are many, many, MANY other valid ways to prevent hooking that do not involve things used to grief or force lose-loses on Killer players. Permanent hook deadzones were used primarily to grief and create impossible scenarios, not as strategy, and were far too punishing on new Killers. The game is far better off without them.

@Peanits said:
It does have it, but I'm glad to hear it feels nice!
To quickly touch on the question at the end, pretty much any casual game (or game with a casual queue) has some form of hidden MMR. Simply put, not having MMR it totally fine if you're a really good player, but it's absolutely brutal if you're on the lower end and constantly getting matched with people who are way better than you. It's sole purpose is to keep those people apart so everyone can have a fair chance, nothing more. It's also why we don't show it to you, it's not something you should care about or stress over.
Unfortunately, it doesn't feel good either to always have the outcome be a tie because everyone is evenly matched, despite that being more fair. It's not fun to do really well and then hit a wall and see no progress in Grades. It's not fun to have your skill invalidated because you get a string of people who know how to totally counter your Killer or a Killer that counters your Survivor build. It's not fun to feel so disenfranchised, you either self-end on the Hook to get away from new players who don't know better in SoloQ, or try to smurf to get weaker Survivors by juggling lobbies (something hiding Prestiges will not fix). The intent may be to make it better for new players, but it's miserable for everyone who's been playing for a while.
MMR needs to have swinginess, and it needs to not cap you so easily. The Softcap NEEDS to be much higher than whatever it currently is and getting out of it if you hit it needs to be made a bit easier, because it's way too easy to hit it and get hardstuck having a miserable time. Certain Killers do not work at very high MMR, against SWFs, on certain maps, etc. You also really need to improve cheat detection and put all cheaters on a "Cheater's Island" on FIRST offense, period, so the rest of us never have to deal with them. In addition you need to show us our MMR so we know where we stand, or at least loosen the MMR so people have a chance of understanding where they lie. MMR gain and loss should reflect skill and playstyle, not kills versus escapes because that breeds things like genrushing, bully squads who smurf to hurt new Players, slugging for the 4k as fast as possible, etc.
Why don't you create a tutorial hard-locked Beginner's Mode until the Player reaches a threshold of "good" and then they can unlock the main game? Why don't you offer a Beginner's Mode option so people who need it can practice new Killers or learn Survivor (but lock them out of it if they have playtime exceeding 1000 hours on a certain Killer or on Survivor in general)? Why don't you create an expanded Beginner's Queue that has limited perks, more forgiveness features on both sides, and awards pips and BP more freely so new players can gain the BP and Shards they need to unlock characters, prestige, etc. without being absolutely ROFLStomped by a 5000 Hour four Slowdown p78 Blight or a four man SWF with a collective 10,000 hours easily genrushing a new Huntress? Why don't we have a casual mode like Chaos Shuffle permanent that only uses MMR for matchmaking, no gains or losses? Nobody learns ANYTHING by constantly losing, all they learn is that the game isn't fun and they don't want to play.
Kills and Escapes aren't the same as skill; it's too easy to boost yourself as a new Killer and too hard to escape the low MMR mire as a SoloQ Survivor. Is it really reasonable to ask Killers to always pick the very best options to get the sweet dopamine of a win, or ask Survivors to always be in SWF so they don't get bad teammates who don't know better yet? Something has to be done, because the new player experience is awful, and just making more handholding measures and help perks isn't the solution because that only overbuffs already strong players.
-
This is very likely why Swamp will be reworked @Coffeecrashing, and @Peanits that needs to, NEEDS TO be the Dev's next map priority. Period, enough waiting, there is no excuse for it taking this long. Fix Swamp, both maps are awful. We need updates on this.
@Paternalpark, Family in TCM is nothing like Killer in DBD. Please answer the question that Neaxolotl asked and don't move goalposts: Have you ever played a round as Killer in Dead by Daylight? Have you played enough to get good Survivors?
-
Honestly I really do not care if the Killer slugs me for the 4k or not, I tab out and watch Youtube or something. I DO care when they slug me and I am the last person, and they force me to bleed out for the entire endgame collapse or 4 minutes, like a really toxic Doctor did to me during Blood Moon.
I personally don't care enough to do this as Killer, and assume Killers that do it are new and still care that hard about winning in a game fundamentally not about dominating your opponent so hard. But sadly, that's what you get when you make Killer wincons based around kills, not around hooking, and you push the idea that you need to 4k every round all the time, as the current system does.
In other words, if you're upset about Killers slugging for the 4k and behaving this way… well, blame BHVR. They're the one making "Kill them All" challenges, achievements, and subtly encouraging this by stating that 1-2k isn't enough to pip in higher Grades. This is why I think Grades overall just really need a rework, or to be removed entirely, or made so easy to pip up in that even if you 0k/Get Sacrificed early, it doesn't matter. Nobody even cares about Grades anymore.

I can confirm Ghostface is very fun and being a Ghostie Main is fun. Most of us who take him somewhat seriously are also pretty goofy and chill, since he's not the world's strongest Killer. However he has flaws, so if you're going to run him you need to have the patience to deal with his Reveal jank, and willing to play somewhat mean or aggressive if you do Main him. That, or you need to make sure you don't dominate every game super hard and boost your MMR to a place where he gets Survivors he struggles to handle.
-
RE: Pharmacy giving Medkits - Just have them have addons and a tier upgrade potentially in the medkits it gives. Other perks already do this.
RE: Scene Partner - BHVR has made weird nonsense changes before, so I'll turn the question around here… why would they BUFF Scene Partner? It's in a fine spot and needs nothing.
-
I could certainly see a partial power rework, what do you think they should add for that?
-
I'm a dedicated Ghostface Main almost from the time I started playing the game in 2022. I run other Killers but Ghostie is my primary. :)

The one I just Marked.

They have it Under Review at least. I hope this means we'll finally, finally see Ghostface and Unknown get the reworked Reveal/Staredown mechanic in a way that is fair for everyone and much less punishing for both. :)

My Killer games were trivial in 2v8 at the start. Now my Survivor games are trivial at the end. As long as you run enough Escapists, Guides, and a scout or two and have decent Survs, none of the Killers can even compete.

I really do not think Blast Mine of all perks needed a buff, it's fine where it is. And Flashbang is still able to blind you facing a wall, utterly no counterplay except Lightborne. Until you fix this, do not buff Blinding perks in general. Blast Mine should show that it's on the gen to warn the Killer, it's unfair that the Killer can't see this and play around it. And Chem Trap I feel should have the risk of breaking the Pallet or making it Fragile after the trap expires so SWFs cannot just trap god pallets at Shack or Gideon for free. It should have some risk for use.
In fact all these perks only hurt M1s. It might be fun for Survivors but it is MISERABLE to play as an M1 against a full squad of people like this who just want to troll you all round. It really does not feel good whatsoever.
I have no qualms or issues with perks like Diversion, Deception, or Mirrored Illusion. Those are just fine. Wiretap is also okay with the buff here. But this "Tomfoolery Update" is really only going to be fun for Survivors, what Killer wants to play against a team like this who sends them to a map like Gideon? Not me.

I absolutely loved Lights Out as both Killer and Survivor, and think it could work with some tweaks.
Lights Out 2.0 would be retweaked to be more balanced for both sides or at least feel way less frustrating for Survivors. More maps. More info for Killers to reduce feeling you have to tunnel and slug - perhaps basekit Deerstalker or Spies From the Shadows. More tools for Survivors with different effects, maybe a flashlight that highlights gens. Maybe a UV lamp that reveals vaults and Pallets for a bit like WoO, but highlights you for a sec using it. Some new interaction that fits the darkness, but isn't overbearing and is FUN for Survs while also not unfair for Killers who are supposed to be OP in that mode. Because some Killers can't do anything due to no info in that mode, and that's kinda unfair.
I think it still has potential, it was just super flawed. I don't see any reason the Devs should not tweak it and give it another chance, it may be a minority of us who loved it but I loved it both sides and do want to see it come back in some form.

I don't really want the creation of someone who did… that in my fun Slasher tag game. It'd leave a bad taste in my mouth. It ruins the fun cheesy horror of DBD to me.
I don't particularly want Art the Clown in DBD either because of it just being too gruesome and upsetting for the more cheesy horror of DBD.

Yellow Mori Basekit, the other Moris give extra Moriable targets on Death Hook, and they all give more BP when you successfully Mori. So you get one basekit but Yellow Mori gives one more Surv, Green 2 more, and Iri Three more (total of 4). Also, please make the basekit Mori allow me to Mori one Survivor, period, not just the last Survivor. I don't really care enough about a 4k to go for the last dude, I would rather let them have hatch or give them hatch. I want the ability to choose who I get to Mori. In addition make all Moris, including basekit ones and perks like Rancor or Devour Hope, give BP for the event.
Anything else besides this is a bad idea. It would also make this Mori-loving Ghostface very very very sad, please do not nerf my fun photo-snapping sessions with my Survivor friends. Please don't make me choose between mercy and my cool animation. Let me have my cinematic moment whenever I desire it, not just at the end. I don't like slugging for the 4k and don't wanna do it just to get my Mori.
