Still run agitation on my wesker builds to this day purely because of this meme.
"7 minuets, 7 minuets is all I can spare to play with you"
"Aw shi-"

The killers in the game aren't really scary for me. They used to get my heart going fast in chase, but that doesn't happen anymore.
On a different note, I do think the least scary is Dracula... He looks like a cartoon vampire.
Chucky is a goofy goober ngl

WoO. If that survivor wants their game to run on autopilot, good for them but why does mine have to be the same? There is no fun in chasing a survivor infected with Windows brain. They just run to yellow and press space occasionally and your counterplay as a killer is equally boring.
How do people use this perk? I used it once and I got a yellow flashbang, it makes it impossible for me to focus 9 times out of 10

@NarkoTri1er said:
Pentimento, screw that perk and 30% penalty to gen repair fr
The gen slowdown would be fine at 2 or 3 rekindled. BUT ONLY ONE REKINDLED FOR THE SLOWDOWN IS CRAZY

Knockout is very unhealthy I agree. Boil Over is also obnoxious depending on the map, and is still a massive problem if your using a controller.
I got a team of Nea's with boil over and a Lery's offering… too bad I was playing Pyramid Head

I'm not saying those perks are op but the follwing ones just annoy me:
Hex: Haunted ground
Starstruck
Chemical trap
Blast mine

Solution: Become a Dwight main and hide in basement locker until gates are oppened

I really can't do anything related to bone trauma, so sadako's mori is…. not great. I don't even like the mini mori, because it makes me think of the regular one. Of course this means I get moried almost every single time I go against her

Ive played lots of first person horror games, this game doesn't make me "scared" in that way, however if I'm versing a good Oni, soon as I hear that roar I'm hiding the best I can and avoiding chase at all costs.
I was going for Adept David once… I wasn't looking at the loading screen so I didn't know who I was against… then I saw blood orbs coming from me (Thanks to No Mither) and I knew I was gonna be the downfall of my team

As someone who loves playing Unknown, I do that to trick my friends a lot (It always gets a good reaction out of them)
-
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/430251/are-there-any-killers-your-actually-scared-of-mine-are-sadako-and-scratch-mirror-myers
I was in lights out once against Sadako, I was doing gens like the good little Ace I am with my eyes glued to the TV sitting in the corner. I knew she was gonna appear out of there and I positioned myself next to a vault point for a quick escape. But out of nowhere she walks from off camera and grabs me off the gen, I actually screamed like a man (100% not a high pitched girly scream) and had to take a moment to process what happened. I love horror games (Mainly Little nightmares and Resident Evil) but doesn't mean I'm fearless, I still get scared when I hear Mr. X's footsteps stomping through the RPD, just knowing he's around a corner or two (BEhaviour if we get a 3rd RE chapter can it be Mr. X or Jack Baker? PLS DON'T BE LADY D. WE ALREADY HAVE THOSE TYPE OF PEOPLE WITH SPIRIT AND SKULL MERCHANT. DON'T MAKE IT WORSE!!!)

Discordance is an all-around very solid perk, and one of the best information perks in the game.
Iron Maiden is good for Huntress & Trickster to help their reload, but it's otherwise pretty bad.
Mad Grit is a meme perk. It's the most fun perk in this set, and I love playing Slappy-gorgon from time to time, but just about anything else would actually do better.
Tell me more about this 'Slappy-gorgon'…
-
@VolantConch1719 said:
Hex: Haunted Ground has three scenarios that play out: No one cleanses your totem and it's a wasted perk slot; Your totem is cleansed but literally everyone is on the other end of the map from you and it's a wasted perk slot; Your totem is cleansed and it leads to the largest snowball effect in the universe and you win the game. There's literally no other scenarios.
Rancor is probably the most fun one, but by the time it activates, you've lost the game. Either that, or you end the game before you can use it and it's a wasted perk slot.
Spirit Fury is a really solid chase perk for Killers who can't really play around pallets. It kind of needs to be combined with Enduring to go anywhere, and once people see it once, they'll start pre-dropping, but it's still solid.
Everything you said about Haunted Grounds is true

This is where I wish bHVR would allow all Killers to be played vs bots for free in custom games so people could try them out.
We sort of have that with the PTB but 1, I can't even get in and 2, it's only avauable to PC players
-
Dude I hate what their doing to Rancor and Devour Hope
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
Depends on the killer you want to run it on, honestly, but I think Make Your Choice is slightly better since it doesn't rely as much on other perks for synergy.
Hangman's Trick is probably one of the, if not THE worst killer perks in the game right now.
Surveillance is only good when paired with auto regression perks like Ruin

I would like Territorial to expose anyone in the basement instead.
and remove the range requirement, then it would be a pretty good perk

Blood Warden is the only good one, Fire Up is only good when your losing and Remember Me only effects 3 out of 4 survivors

Starstruck, Agitation, Iron Grasp, Distressing.
One of my favorite builds

Can't say the same for the other 2 garbage perks. Hopefully one of them gets the Predator and Zanshin Tactics treatment and gets a complete rework for the better
-
@VolantConch1719 said:
Huntress Lullaby is one of the weaker Hexes, but I have witnessed it single-handedly destroy uncoordinated teams, so that's something.
Beast of Prey can make it harder for Survivors to tell where you're aiming with mid-range Killers like Xeno & Nemmy, but they can also… you know… use their eyes. Just because I'M terrible at looking behind me doesn't mean others aren't.
Territorial Imperative exists. It's terrible in just about every that matters, and doesn't even work in the Basement builds that it would be most logical in because of the range requirement. Only use it on high mobility Killers if you have LITERALLY nothing else to run.
Territorial would be sort of good on Dredge? Unless the Survivor used half a braincells and locked all the lockers before going for chest or unhook… still garbage perk

Not saying she's bad. She's been dominating the game since chapter 1, what i'm saying is that she pisses me off to no end

A Nurse's Calling is just one of the most underrated Killer perks in general. And even then, I don't think anyone calls it bad, just that they'd rather run 500 slowdowns instead.
With Predator getting revamped, Stridor is the new No Mither of Killer perks, where the difference in audio you over by making you think Survivors are closer than they actually are.
Thanatophobia is one of the worst slowdown perks in the game. The only thing keeping it from the bottom is that it DOESN'T BUFF A SURVIVOR like Dying Light does.
The slowdown part had me cackling. I prefer to use info or chase focused perks

W, Dredge is fun tbh. Especially against new players

As a console Billy main (PC is where i main Wesker), I love to use the silent chainsaw build and Tinkerer is probably the most fun and useful perk for that build. It's also super fun on it's own
-
They all suck tbh

@OrangeBear said:
agitation is really good for scourges and just in general speeding up the hooking process. The increased terror radius is usually a downside though i suppose.
Unless you're using Starstruck. Then it's a perk of mass destruction
-
@DOOMSAYER said:
It makes me not want to play the game to be honest, as it feels like an oversight in design that's being taken advantage of. Simple solution: A new perk that allows for silent unhooks - no explosion notification. It could work similarly to Distortion, where you have to be in the killer's terror radius to build up tokens. To balance this, unhooking could be just a tad slower than normal. Pressing a secondary ability button when you're in front of a hooked player would activate it, allowing the user to decide what kind of unhooking they want to perform.
I'm actually surprised they haven't made a perk like that yet. Great idea!
-
Pre Realm means they are have the equipment or abilities they had before entering the realm. For example, characters like Leon would have his weapons but characters like Artist will just be a woman without her arms or tounge
-

Ghostface and Myers both still get me after 500 hours.
When I was playing DbD for the first time and my friend was showing me every killer and how to counter them, he chose Michael once and used Scratched Mirror… I have never felt so paranoid playing a game in my entire life…
-
@GladSkull said:
I picked the "If Necessary" option but I'd like to clarify.
The ONLY reason I will ever tunnel is if a survivor is being extremely toxic. I'm not one to say a perk shouldn't be played or that you can't loop me, that's the game. I don't appreciate being T-bagged on emoted and stuff like that though. I don't even just tunnel if that happens at all or something but if you're trolling me super freaking hard? I'm no longer playing the match to play, I'm solely playing that game to ruin that person's life at that point. I play Dead By Daylight because it's my favorite game and it's a blast and I love a good bit of the community. But in my opinion that's just not cool to do to someone who isn't being toxic.
I also am not a killer that shakes my head at people for playing the game, I don't hit people on the hook, I don't camp in anyway, and I will go out of my way not to tunnel. I've literally had survivors that got off the hook last run straight into me after being insta unhooked. And I just look past them to the meanie who threw their friend at me. So it feels super disrespectful to get trolled when I'm trying to give a good experience to the survivors. I mainly play survivor so I've been on the other end enough to know what sucks, and I do my damnedest to not do that.
Last night, I was up against a bully squad of a Sable, Lara and Meg (There was also an Ace but he was just minding his own business). Every time I grabbed someone… FLASHBANG. Every time I was about to hook… SABOTAGE. Every time I get pallet stunned… T-BAG. When I got them all down, I hooked them all one by one and stared at the Sable as she got sacrificed (she was the worst one btw). I let the Ace go because he was just being chill

Sounds like you enjoy fast Killers and ranged Killers. Consider Huntress, Deathslinger, Blight, Hillbilly, maybe Bubba, and if you want a simple M1 try Legion.
Got all them besides Blight, Bubba and Deathslinger

@mizark3 said:
If you intentionally bodyblock a doorframe to prevent me from getting the rescuer, it isn't tunneling, that's just you taking chase.
I hate even my randoms or IRL friends being the victim of it. It makes it a free win for Killer (soloq or with friends, as long as more than 1 gen remains). Also I've had 1 friend perma-quit, and another tentatively quit because of tunneling.
When someone gets tunneled out, it highly increases the chances of giga-rats. Almost like the mindset of 'you didn't want me to have fun, so I'll do the same to you'. I don't like dealing with a teammate refusing to touch gens, and I also don't like having to patrol gens for 10m for a report. By intentionally not tunneling, it is more likely they have fewer gens remaining, and will continue to try to play the game.
Edit: I just saw the S.T.A.R.S. option, I think roleplay tunneling is always OK if you let everyone else go. I love memelords that will only Kill Jill as Nemmy, and let the Leon/Ada/Claire out since they ain't S.T.A.R.S. Same for any other franchise, like Pyramid Head and James Sunderland, or letting Cheryl go and killing the rest. Also Myers letting Laurie go since it's canon she is the ultimate final girl, but killing the rest in her story. Same with Xeno letting Ripley go because the facehugger egg is likely in her stomach. Whatever roleplay reason is a perma-justification, like taking a child (Nancy/Steve/Mikaela/Sable/Feng) hostage in basement as Huntress. That stuff is great.
Just to clarify, it wasn't a memelord thing (even though I do it quite often). I made it S.T.A.R.S due to Nemesis players tunnelling often. No offense btw, and I love the Huntress one, got a good laugh out of me

What Killers do you currently enjoy playing? What games and playstyles do you like? That can help inform you. For me, I love stealth games, so I gravitated to stealth Killers first. I've been a proud, happy Ghostface Main for almost two years counting. :)
Mainly playing Wesker, Nemesis and Trickster rn. I play Wesker the most thanks to the adrenaline rush I feel whenever I grab a survivor waiting near a raised pallet
