You are shooting yourself in the foot saying this, just because one side is buggy it does not nullify the bugs of the other, billy does have some annoying collision bugs especially on maps like haddonfield and lerys
Aside from that, while I won't claim that devs are survivorsided, survivorbugs get a higher priority since you know..fixing 1 bug fixes a ton of player's concern as to where for example fixing nurse fixes like...what...10 people's issues with her? Survivorbugs often get high priority because it affects way more people than a single killer being bugged.
Now the soundbug on the other hand, I'd rather point my finger on "they dont know how to fix it"
-
Dear killers who don'T want people to use flashlights, would you prefer everybody splitting up and sitting on gens holding m1 instead?
Most fun games are "bullysquads", they're usually just trying to have fun.

Let me also clear something up that your confused on: suprise, surprise, I don't even play as Billy. I think he sucks to be honest, and I never hit #########. I'm always Freddy, GF, ONI, Michael, or DOC. And you really made me laugh saying anyone could do a loggers job.. Ha. I bet you couldn't even figure out how to start my saw...
Sure, loggers are known for their technical forté. Studying at MIT is practically a pre-requisite. Are you trying to be funny or sth?
Billy doesn't suck, he just doesn't belong in this game the way he is right now. This is a party game, we don't need a killer that enables ppl to 4k 99% of their games just because they put their life and soul in it.

many many way.
bubba's M2 are easier to aimed than billy's m2
so maybe just
short the charge time
hold M2 no longer to make you move slower
let him has his MAX speed right after he use his m2.
can really help him
make him more deadly when he close to you.
buff this kind of thing can really help him and make him different to billy.
this is what we want to see not put a charger on a already fun to play and play against killer.
this would do nothing.
Bubba would still being nobody want to play
It would only cause the killer we can see in high level match -1.
all your suggestions are bad, literally. even if he hit his max speed right after m2 he'd still just be an easier to use billy since billy does that too rofl.

Well if all you do is sit around playing video games all the time, yeah, then that might happen. But I have a very physical job, and I grew up cutting down huge trees and processing them all the way down to fire wood. Holding a chainsaw is like holding a bat to me. But then again, I've done it most my life, so...
Imagine being this condescending over cutting wood, something that literally everybody could do that's not physically impaired lol. Again your point is moot, CUrvebilly is finally dead, I never understood all this worship in the first place. Reminds me of ppl applauding rivenmains in league while never being able to pull of what they can do anyways.

I can rev my chainsaw, take off in a sprint, and chase you for a quarter mile no problem. What's sad is LF can't do the same... And he doesn't run, he WALKS until he uses the saw. Have you ever used a chainsaw in real life?? And I'm nowhere near the size of Billy...
Yeah good luck falling into your chainsaw after a while. He also doesn't walk, he's at supernatural speed, the survivors are running. Anyways the argument is pointless, billy is FINALLY after 4 years getting his comeuppance and I can't be more happy. Goodbye curvebillys

And here we have the classic: "Accusing someone of a straw-man and then creating a straw-man" argument. They don't know what a straw-man is but they know that it is used to disregard someone else's argument. They use it aggressively. But it is high risk because, you see, they almost always follow it up with an actual straw-man argument.
Literally: What?
Google strawmanning, then come back, what he did was quite the literal example because nobody here used those stats to disprove anything.

No, I made a concrete point about a stupid feature that makes zero sense any way you put it... Having the saw run out of gas and needing to refuel(like clown maybe) would've been better and more realistic...
Okay can we remove his chainsaw sprint too then? I don't think you can run faster by using a chainsaw.

What I am saying is that people got the wrong conclusion from the graph and were justifying it to say "survivors opie" or "killers opie", but then when the graphs were used against them they said they were "unreliable".
Strawmanning is fun.
People came to the conclusion that survivors are OP by logically thinking and also by marth's experiment, we didn't need graphs for that.
-
@Todgeweiht said:
That graph was made a year ago and its unreliable, well, unreliable as long as it does not help me fulfill my agenda.
So you're saying the devs have an agenda to push 20% of the playerbase over the 80%ers?
Sure bud
Logically speaking killrates mean jackshit, you'd know this if you soloQd alot.
Tons of people who will kill themselves on hook over playing against killer X.
Tons of people who will afk/DC
Challenges that counteract "normal" survivor gameplay hence ppl rushing hooks to get challenges done or disturbing crows by running around the map.

BUBBA!!
they just different kind of killer and hard to compare.
Billy right now are fun to play and against.
even themself said it too.
SO WHY NERF HIM SO MUCH?
Can Bubba cross the map with his chainsaw in like 5 sec?
Also bubba actually loses distance for a second after starting his chainsaw which by the way there's no reason for.
Billy is just a better bubba in every regard except against potatoes that save right in front of your face when you have a multidown chainsaw.
Bubba is easier to use, that's it.

yes he can be looped if hes not good enough, his movement speed makes him reaching good position for his powers then hes 100% getting a hit, now like i said, using lithe is the best against him, if u get hit on a window at least u run so far away from him that he will have to let u go. meaning lithe with medkit is insanely good against him. lets say u dont use it, then ur screwed, trust me mate im over 3.5k hours in this game and i played him and tested him well and i so far i have 0 loses with him. i think his power should be 4.0 or 4.2, hes still gonna be broken but at least survivors will have a little more hope in loops, and im mainly play killer mate. u can beat bad pyra heads tho, but when u verse a main head that master him, u will feel helpless in loops trust me. gl.
u should feel helpless, it's a 1v4 game. If the other survivors aren't dicking around then gens will get done against pyramid head since he is not fast enough in downing survs while also not having the neccesary mappressure. Each chase will take at least 30 seconds even if the survivor is just holding W.
I hate using tru3 as an example but here, PH cannot down people as fast as a bubba when they run out in the open and still he got crushed because the time pressure is too much unless survs ######### up absolutely royally.

bro as fellow mainly hillbily that play on both sides and all killers, and i have over 3.5k hours in the game playing rank 1 on both sides, i tell you this, they actually destroyed billy, his true and max power are double engraving with bamboozle, and the risk of using those addons are slower charge which will make you overheat instantly, thats bullshit if you ask me, i destroyed a lot of legacy billies with the highest skill cap just because i master loop as survivor, and i know billy very well, so watching him getting nerfed is very unjustified and it makes me want to puke, hes barely balanced, feels bad for those main billies with 5000addons in their inventory lol. thats why i spend mine, cause any moment, a killer can be nerfed,
The game is not balanced around people who dedicate their life to one thing, nor should it be. This isn't CSGO or League.

Everything i had ever seen about him was that he was one of the most balanced killers, that his power was useful because of map mobility and yeah, he was plenty avoidable. But now that they are nerfing him I am seeing SO MANY PEOPLE coming out saying they have hated him forever 😑
When Billy was out I prefered to play Wraith and Trapper which by design could NEVER match him.

with all due respect, hes too strong on loops, there is no counter play, u either get hit on a window or pallet with his ability if dropped or u get m1, i assume that lithe+medkit is his nemesis, i wonder how he would perform if his ability would make him into 4.0/4.2 movement instead of 4.4, i never lose games when i play him so far. over 3.5k here.
He can be looped just like any other killer and you can try to evade his Punishment, ofc he can still hit it. I'm gonna be honest tho, he feels like a way stronger huntress to me just with no range-pressure but the 115% ms and cages makes up for that. He's still not OP when survivors currently are this strong.

Oh i get that, i just dont like to spend money (even ingame money) on something that will be actively worse shortly after I buy it. Ill pick him up if i really get back into playing again.
That's the thing tho, he's not gotten worse. You will always know where the cage approximately is anyways, you just cannot actively facecamp it anymore. It's still great to not get DS'd to hell on him and to be able to choose if you want borrowed time to affect you or not.

billy can not charge his saw from 15M away or hide his heartbeat and then one shoot you.

I agree except.... he can be countered easily by not running in a straight line. Sounds condescending and im sorry but when i play against billy's, i usually run inbetween trees and stuff and turn them to an m1 killer. A lot of maps arent open enough to reliably get chainsaws. Just my opinion. Maybe im just trash as billy.
Even mediocre billys will hit you unless you're a spingod and even then it's not a guaranteed escape (and im gonna be honest, 360s shouldn't exist, you ######### up by not being near a loop you take a hit). Mostly staying near windows and eating an M2 is enough but that doesn't change the fact that he still outpaces every other killer right now except for maybe freddy against absolutely optimal loopers who you'd not be able to chainsaw.

The nerf won't affect you if you don't actively tunnel or want to facecamp. He's still great fun, I love to play him.
Heck even if you want to tunnel, they made a sound notification when somebody gets freed out of the cage, you can still go for them if you really want to.

He is weak because of pacing. Literally cant be 4 places at once.
Which is why the game needs to change to smaller maps in general but you literally cannot do that with a FREE killer that already is opressive as hell even on the biggest maps.
-
@bgbomb said:
because he need to use almost 1/3 of charge bar for his each dash.
And the charge come back so slow like a sprint with out add-on.
further more such a slow charge back time are already a faster vision ,if you are not overload the charge would come back even more slower.
Myers needs to stalk ppl first and guess what, he can't even do it as much as he wants, he has a permanent cooldown for each survivor.

Yeah, best thing to say, right? "You are new, i know better after 2000 hours and that's why my opinion is superior." And you know what? I'm not new. 50 hours is enough of my time investment in one game. I'm new with 5, maybe 10. Also i will never waste 2000 hours on that game. And i will not waste time to watch some streams. If game like this cant give enough feedback to player, it is badly designed. Simple as that. Lets be honest here, this is not MMO, roguelike, flight simulator or any other complex idea of a gameplay. Its simple.
Anyway, i know how this perk work. Don't treat me this way.
Also you should learn how to read.
...it is like talking to a brick wall over here. :-/
I don't have problem with perk, i know how it works, I DON'T KNOW THEY HAVE IT SO I CANT REACT TO IT.
Damn, it is really so hard to understand?
Let me put it this way, following your logic - You guys should always expect someone could sneak behind you and slap your head with baseball bat. You can duck, so you should be ducking all the time to prevent this from happening. And when i finally sneak behind you one day and hit you like that, you cant be mad at me, because you should expect i will do this, so it is your fault for not ducking this one time in the right moment.
So how much more handholding as a survivor do you want in this game? Show every perk that the killer has? There's tons of Perks that you'll NEVER know if the killer has it or not, like Shadowborne. The only way to make what you want possible is to show the killer's and survivor's perks before the game starts which would be terribly boring and break many perks that are meant as a surprise in the first place.
There's already too much, you even get notified when the killer has an instadown through haunted grounds basically killing the perk unless it gets cleansed in one of those 1 in 10 games where you run into 3 ppl while somebody cleanses HG while you have infectious Fright.
You don't need to know if the killer has barbecue and chilli, the whole point of the perk is to give killers a new chase so that they don't camp, you also shouldn't hide all game because occasionally you need to take "aggro", otherwise your teammates will die way earlier.
If you have dead teammates while the killer is neither actively tunneling or camping and you haven't been in a chase then you did something wrong.
This by the way goes both ways anyways, a killer will never know if you have resilience, premonition, solidarity, DISTORTION ( a free perk by the way) etc.
-
I'll take haddonfield over ormond any time of the day, ormond is just filled with safe pallets next to loops with godpallets. At least trapper is great on Haddonfield, no killer excels in Ormond.

The issue isn’t that it’s necessarily unbalanced now, but that the game will never be balanced for other killers while that level of mobility is in the game. They can’t buff all the weaker killers without tuning Billy down, because any universal buff to chases, map size, gen speed, early game slowdown, etc. which those killers are more in need of will just buff him even more and he’s already very good. I think they’re looking long term with this kind of change, which is why they say that they’re happy with his current performance but changing his base kit anyway.
This and it's sad that not more people can see the bigger picture.
I wanna start facing iconic stuff like Michael Myers more than once every blue moon. Even with Infinite T3 he's still weaker than Billy, let that sink in.
-
@Boss said:
Some people see him as the closest a Killer has ever been to being perfectly balanced.
So practically any change to him, buff or nerf, would've been met with criticism.
Though to me it seems that Carburetor Tuning Guide + Primer Bulb is a combination people generally wouldn't mind seeing nerfed.
Better than every other killer in this game when this statement was made by a large margin except for nurge.
Most balanced
Yeah no, he was the only thing broken enough to be able to deal with broken survivors sure but if you wanted to bring every other killer to his level you'd have to powercreep the game to an insane level.
-
@LordGlint said:

I dont see that as a bad thing though. Just means you have to be on guard instead of turning off your brain while holding M1 on a gen. Its like getting crossmap sniped by Huntress. You should stay aware of your surroundings.
The problem is that no other killer in this game can ever come close to this except for nurse who if played by an exceptional player downs you even faster but her design is also broken.
-
@LordGlint said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1420347#Comment_1420347
Considering the reduced control Billy has, if you're getting downed by cross map chainsaws like that... you need to be more aware of your surroundings. This isnt a power that cant be countered, with even the dev notes saying that there was a reasonable amount of counter-play to it.
The fact still remains that he's head over heels over killers like michael with almost no drawback compared to those other killers and there was no way in hell to buff them to billy's level on sheer design without breaking their internal balance. It was always laughable when ppl claimed that billy was for some reason the go to powerlevel with unlimited maptraverse and instadowns.
Yeah sure great survivors were able to play around it, this isn't a competitive game tho and I don't think the devs thought ppl would put 7000+ hours into their game.
-
@[Deleted User] said:

Isn’t it though?
that kind of map presence can be very oppressive when the billy knows what they doing in chases as well.
Why should one killer have free reign to zip around to any part of a map, at any time, as much as they want, without much drawback?
I especially love how people complain about freddy's teleport but billy is okay to be even more oppressive because he "requires skill".
-
A char with unlimited instadowns and Unlimited mapmobility HAD to be nerfed, most people here would not even be affected by the nerf in the first place and are just touting what streamers with 7000+ hours are saying. This nerf hits the top 1% of billys mostly which is completely fine, they don't need to 4k every game.
People need to remember that this isn't a competitive game, if you want to show off play something that actually has a real competitive scene and ranked modes.

Killer is easier than ever, ruin wasn't good for the game. I rarely have a terrible game as killer anymore
Doesn't change the fact that survivors who simply split up, don't play overly altruistic or risky, will beat you on many killers that dont have the neccesary mappressure. Well not actually beat since they'll just get brutal at most themselves but you get my point.

Thats the same playstyle I like to adapt as killer.
with 5-4-3 gens I'm happy to leave any survivor on the hook for pickup and leave it be. (unless they try to save them when I'm still nearby/Too fast then its their own fault And this happens a lot and usually doesn't pay off in their favor let me tell you.)
But when I'm being gen rushed or have not achieved anything and its 1-2 more gens to go, I will camp hooks and tunnel survivors. I wanna make sure I get atleast 1 survivor killed. But noed usually grants me a second kill on the end on a bad game.
I love it when in the after game chat survivors will come up with "Tunneler/Camper" in the chat, When I simply need to respond with
"Gen rusher"
Whats the difference ?
there's no difference, contrary to popular belief just shitting out gens is not the survivor's objective, it's to entertain the entity by interacting with the killer, trying to save others etc etc.

PH nerf was needed as it just made tunneling easier and like you say gearhead was useless pre nerf. The last few big changes have been in killers favour. Weakened strong loops, smaller maps. Tool box nerf. A few minor killer buffs , if you keep going back Freddy and doctor buffs whatever MOM was. Intaheals. The only meaningful killer nerf I can think of is ruin?
The RUIN nerf ######### over many killers entirely way harder than the mapchanges, instaheal and everything else NEEDED to be adressed because it was outright broken to a ridiculous level. Killers even after all these nerfs are still worse off than survivors who play for the objective.
Just because something gets nerfed a ton doesn't mean it's weak. If survivors start at a 100 and killers were at the beginning of DBD lets say a 5, what would change if survivors got incrementally nerfed by 10 points for 5 patches? Yeah sure they'd be nerfed a ton but they'd still be stronger.

He's right. It's a dirty play style to just tunnel out of cages with no counter play. His best strategy was tunneling that's not good for the game
Literally every killer can do that, if somebody actually wants to ######### you over he just facecamps you which by the way works better than it should.

I believe he goes from 115 to 110, which isn't a huge amount but it's enough to keep him from hugging your ass for a few seconds, which if that's how close he is anyway he can just hit you.
Considering his Purples and Pinks are absolute trash, would it really be that bad if he at least had an add-on to apply torment on Punishment hits?
I dunno man, maybe the rough games are slowly driving me insane and it feels almost worthless to me. Good survivors just seem to find ways to avoid it
Sometimes games are rough, also I'm not a fan of fixing designflaws through addons and perks.Had a 8000hour player ######### spin me yesterday altho that could be because I was streaming and my fps seemed to drop a little.
