EAC isn't omniscient to know what files were on your PC. If they issued a warning before, you could simply delete the files. But at most, BHVR will just code it so the files are reset every time you change them. After all, deleting the folder does change the icons to default.

So yes, realistically speaking, you will not get banned.

They did issue a warning. Modification of teh game files can have you banned. You have been warned, and no, nobody will need to warn you again:

"Any alteration of game files is done at your own risk. If EAC does trigger an automatic ban for these things, we will not be able to unban you."

That basically means, do it at your own risk, but probably those who actually care about their accounts shouldn't take your advice. It's just my opinion

Omg the paranoia in this thread is so damn real. @Tsela, no, they don't ban anyone for custom icons. Stop spreading misinformation.

@Dennis1242 you can safely use custom icons. I've been using them since 2017 and I'm still fine. EAC does NOT check the icon folder. EAC said themselves that they don't ban for it, ask BHVR, BHVR said they won't ban for it, ask EAC.

Of course the mods can't just say "use them". That could be easily used against BHVR in case EAC decided to ban someone. But they won't. It's been the same for as long as this game existed, and there is 0 reason for EAC to verify a folder that contains files that don't alter the gameplay in a single way.

A dev actually confirmed it right here in this thread, It's not me spreading some "misinformation". Any file modification in the game you do on your own risk, and in case you get banned, the devs will not help you. You can imagine whatever you want, this is not coming from me. Scroll back.

  • I still chase in endgame, but I slug instead of hooking. Far better idea. If they come for a heal others will be slapped around too, if the slugged person gets up he has no BT, and you can easilly end up with even more people down if they are too bold. Even open the gate for tehm if you have time (they will not be able to pick up the slugged guy too fasst hopefully, so start that timer and keep sharing the pain. Often I ended up with 3 people crawling to the gate because I didn't hook anyone. when they stop buzzing around you, you start hooking

I tried it, hearing how shotty EAC actually is, I don't trust them. I deleted all my custom icons and verified my game files, never doing it again. I had custom icons for about 2 weeks, not a long time but that's long enough. Yeah he is working himself up over it, it's just a game after all and at least you're not gonna get hunted by the FBI for it. If we end up getting banned in the end, it's just a lesson learned.

well in the end they are not trying to ruin customers accounts because they hate their own players. So most bans happen for good reasons. Probably 80% of the people complaining about their bans on the forums are lying like there's no tomorrow about teh actual reasons they were banned for. But the devs will not tell us "how much is too much" just to not encourage anybody to do anything to mess with files, even if probably many light offenses were not acted upon most of the time. People do make mistakes. everyone knows that.

It's not like running across the street will get you a huge fine from cops every time. But don't test your luck.

Hell I was once caught by a cop for smoking in a park, and he wanted to fine me. This never happened, and I saw cops many times. I knew it's not nice or permitted from a 20 meter radius from playgrounds, but others were doing it also so.... Well anyway, it was a first. And... I ran away! lol But now I know that I can be fined indeed.

If no one reports him, then he's fine, that's how people cheat for years and get away with it, there has to be video evidence. if EAC doesn't pick it up then they're off the hook.

That's right. I'm just sorry for him now for working himself up so much. Decent players don't have to worry that much, he doesn't sound like a cheater, and I'm sure he will be careful in the future. I played many games for example Starcraft 2. I didn't even know using mouse macros is cheating and so many people got banned for it, but I heard about it and I removed the macros. Well I sucked at Starcraft before just as much as I sucked after the fact :)) it's not like I'm a great player. and people do make mistakes. And nothing happened right away, even if apparently cheated for having my mouse set to use complicated inputs.

I'm quite sure that people who get actually banned in the vast majority of cases are quite heavy offenders they just lie about "only trying it once", after they are banned. But I wouldn't know because it never happened to me, nor I actually know those people.

So who accidentaly made a mistake, and didn't do it again, and so far nothing happened, should stop worrying. They are not the actual target for most bans.

what the hell is so fun about holding left click a bunch of times?

whatever, I guess people have their own ways of "fun"

that's right. You answered your own question.

  • There were for example people banned in waves for modifying the files for legacy skins. Some people felt like they deserve those skins because they owned the game, but because this or that they didn't receive it. In any case, their best course of action would have been to open a ticket and explain the problem, not to do it themselves. So after some verification about when they unlocked the said skins and under dubious circumstances, they were all banned.

Now what you did is also modding the game so don't do it in the future, because it's risky. People were banned for example for FOV modifications, or simply for ultra wide screen mods they did in the past, because they were angry that the game didn't have proper ultra wide support.

Now you have to understand that EAC is not a perfect anti-cheat software, it mostly verifies third party programs you are consecutively running, and a bit of the game files. But if it didn't catch you right away as you started the game, probably you are safe now. People got away with far more. But just it's not work taking chances, and everything is perfectly fine now

    See you in the game!

but if EAC decides to check UI files idk if they can now if you used something even if you deleted it you will be banned, I am scared of that too...

well after a while it's pointless to worry about it. it's not like it will happen weeks or months later. It will be alright. Technically your intentions were not harmful, but when something catches you, it doesn't care about intentions, it just verifies game files. Right now probably you would be fine since it's a new patch, and usually they wait for things to settle a bit because people signal all sort of things without knowing, from corrupted files because of the patch, hardware issues preventing proper update, lack of disk space. And it will be alright, you should stop worrying about it right now. It's a word of caution, not a threat, and you know what to be aware of. Not something to worry yourself to death with. You will be fine.

Most ban waves happened as I recall from hacking, usually they were banned collectively, like many accounts at once. Even if not at the moment they were hacking the game or using cheats. But modded game file if it would have been caught already, you would have been auto banned already. I'm almost 100% sure that you will be fine, just it's not worth to risk it in the future.

I will never do it again, bro I had so much fun playing dbd before I heard that custom icons can result a ban in the future, now everytime I play I am scared that at some point I will get banned and all the hours, all the money that I have spend to buy dlc's and cosmetics will be gone.

Stop panicking, it will be fine, I didn't want to worry you. I just told you what I witnessed or heard over the years of playing the game. Of course no dev will come here and tell you, not to worry because they don't want to encourage people saying "just a little bit is okay". But you are probably safe now. Just it's never smart to mess with game files when it comes to online games, we can mod our single player games all we want :) Stay safe and enjoy the wonderful game. I'm sure you will be fine, if you don't mess with it anymore.

is there anything I can do to not get banned? All I did was to use the custom perks and character portraits for like a month or two then I reinstalled the game like 4 times, completely reseted the game files and I verified the integrity of game files 3 times, If I will get banned is there any reason to play the game or to spend money on it anymore? How can EAC ban around 20,000 people for something that isn't cheating...

stop doing it, and hope for the best. You can't do anything to prevent or reverse a ban decision, but maybe you were lucky. Just don't do it in the future. Or do it but the risk and responsibility is yours entirely

but how would they know you used them if you completely removed them? can they see deleted files or something?

you know as some other users reported, some bans might come in waves, basically when their modification was caught it was just reported somehow and they were banned later, even if at that time they didn't use the mods and stuff they had anymore. If you used stuff, and it was caught, you might get banned right away, or later, but nobody will take action to unban you for it.

Of course they do. Survivors use everything they have to cheat around the base mechanics and rules. From tunning nVidia settings to use actual cheats to fly around the map.

Any immunity will be abused often.

For sure. well ever since the update I ate that BT quite a few times. the unhooked survivors sprinted towards me, instead of away from me a few times every game I played so far.

  • oh and also sometimes routers have some aggressive firewall and preventing flood attacks, so maybe just check your firewall, and create an exception for this game

  • @HALOGEN said:

Has anyone experienced a problem regarding packet loss(tiny red diamond icon on the screen) that caused the game to freeze for a moment, crashing and sending you to the lobby with a massive penalty?

I experienced it twice in a row with Wesker. I sent myself to midwich, with 2 good add-ons and his perks to finally get his adept done. First game went very well, I applied tons of pressure, I didn't tunnel or camp since I wanted as many M1 hits as I could(M2 hits are useless since you don't get progress to chaser emblem) so I always went for different people. Out of a sudden the red diamond icon regarding the packet loss appears, and a few seconds after, the game freezes and crashes with no explanation. It is infuriating since I use an Ethernet cable, my add-ons and my map offering were consumed and I ate a 5 minute DC penalty.

I have the idea to try again, after I restart my PC. Everything went well, I went into another game, same strategy, same amounts of pressure. But the exact same problem occured. Red diamond packet loss icon intro freeze and crash once again, forcing me to eat a 15 minutes penalty this time. The internet connection was the same, through an Ethernet cable. But this time I quit, I ran out of add-ons or map offerings, why should I play the game LMAO?

What causes this problem? A problem so severe that it forcefully aborts the game TWICE in a row. I have 1672 hours into this game but I have NEVER experienced it before(maybe 1 freeze and crash but never 2 in a row, never 2 consecutive penalties). I wonder if players can force me to disconnect somehow, or is it something entirely different. I am geniunely afraid to play again since the penalties get higher and higher and I don't want a random unjustified crash to ruin my entire game experience.

Random packet loss might be tied to RAM also, so eliminate possibilities one by one. If you are overclocking, tune back a bit. test the game with one RAM stick. check your temperatures when playing the game, so on.

if it's a hardware related issue that is.

Or check your ethernet drivers, so on so forth

I didn't see this bug ever, so some testing might be required for you to see what does it.

  • well I noticed it in a way that unhooked survivors more often use it now to run after the killer, instead away from the killer, to tank some hits with it and protect others. It was kinda obvious that it will be used for that instead of getting away. And it's basekit

  • to make him more consistent for terror radius related perks both on killer and survivor side.

    1. Of course people don't believe you and they have a good reason for that
    2. The game is mostly balanced around SWF not around solo survivors, and their ability to counter anything having clear information on anything at all times is much stronger than the basekit of a killer -if they don't plan to make SWF exclusively for custom games, while online is for solo, the game will never be balanced properly, and in that case Nurse is perfectly fine as it is. End of story. Pretty much

Alright, it is so obvious. It is sarcasm. But seriously, i really so bored to play against Nurse. Not because Nurse mains, reason is my solo teammates. Both of them dc'ed immediately when they heared Nurse's scream.

David and i tried but ofcourse it is impossible to finish task. 5 gens, killer is Nurse and 2 v 1 lmao.

I don't know how to address this issue without hurting people who seriously crashing but it started to be annoying. Because this is my average Nurse game on solo. And she is damn so popular.

Yeah it sounds like a survivor problem, not a nurse problem. Sorry about salty survivors.

Yeah but in order to get back from 16gb I needed to pause and unpause the update because otherwise it would continue the 16gb

Just let it do it's thing. don't worry about those numbers. What you are doing probably is restarting part of the update process. It takes up to 20 minutes or more anyway, just make sure you have enough free space for the proceedure (the actual download will not be 16 gb, but redownloads parts of the game you already have also so you see all sort of numbers there). Don't worry about it. DBD was always clunky to update, and it takes a while. just let it download, and maybe start a small game you have there and select *allow backround download* to play something else until that is done, so it continues updating while you play

  • @_kostas_pap_207 said:

I have a 24mbps internet which from that in my room on my ps4 I am getting 2 mbps download and 69.4 upload . The upload is always the same no matter the download speed.

And the update when it started is tasing 1.8 GB but then it said 16.2 gb

    WHAAAAAAT

16 GB I AM DOWNLOADING A NEW GAME

    WHY IS IT SO BIG

AND IN ORDER TO DOWNLOAD IT I NEED 58 HOURS AS IT SAYS FROM THIS INTRENET SPEED

    THIS IS CRAZY

DID THAT HAPPEN TO YOU ALSO?

it's around 2GB patch. what you see as 16 GB actually is unpacking the game files and downloading things that is needed. Basically you need to have over 16 GB of free space to apply the patch, but when it's finished you can check the size of the game again. I have fast connection but it's slow anyway because for the patch to apply the game unpacks the game archives and applies the changes before overwriting it or something. Just hang in there until it's done, and make sure you have enough free space until it's finished. It will delete the temporary leftovers after that

It will depend on a variety of things, so area for example - night time in EU might mean less killers during that time compared to survivors etc.

oh I see! That's why I kept arguing in the past about killer queue being fast enough for me and I don't know what people are talking about. It's basically related to the time of teh day I often play games

  • actually it's +100% for killer now. It changes depending how many play one or the other at any given time

All you had to say was the aura range was too big, yet you went on a tirade.

Well I said the aura reading is way too large, plus it would just simply prevent unpredictability since you would know the killer's moves pretty much all the time. It is ridiculous, and basicaly a downed survivor would be your safe zone, since you see every move the killer makes, he must ignore all of you and hook unless he wants to waste his time. So yeah that's why I don't believe something ridiculous as this will happen. But of course people can ask for a perk that makes them fly too, that's alright, We are discussing about it and we can talk about why it will never happen, most probably.

  • well it's unrealistic idea which will not be considered I'm sure that's all. I also explained why. It will not happen. lmao

just because someone is downed you don't get 24 meters of aura reading and going up from there.

  • @DEMONANCE said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3157210#Comment_3157210

the suggestion is fine it's not op as you make it seem to be. why should a killer have a ton of aura perks that can constantly give info on survivors but survivors can barely have anything similar?? i can maybe see the range being reduced to something like 16 mr otherwise it's a balanced perk but still I don't see it being used much it's too situational and kindred is just better.

"why should a killer have a ton of aura perks that can constantly give info on survivors but survivors can barely have anything similar??" probably because there is 1 killer and 4 survivors? Isn't that obvious? He needs to deal with 4 people running around, the survivors need to deal with 5 gens which aren't running around. It's how the game is built. Survivors objective is fixing gens, killer objective is finding survivors and killing them. Survivor objectives are not to find killers. Being unpredictable is one of the tools the killer uses. So adding something that potentially shows what the killer does all the time, is not really going to happen. It would go against the purpose of the game. "Slugging" is an option which will not be actually punished, it's actually part of the killer options, the devs deliberately added that. Otherwise the survivors would be automatically picked up by the killer no matter what.

So whan and how killer hooks a person, or slugs or, searches around before picking someone up, is completely within the killer's rights to do, and making it completely transparent where and how the killer does things, where is he going if he just downed someone, if he comes your way or not, if you can work on a gen or you should run.... it will not happen.

  • @feffrey said:

Dead by daylight has been around since 2016 and it has been 6 years now and survivor game play feels the same . They do not have the same options as killers who can swap up their game play based on killers ability . So something like they can play a killer that incredibly fast pace or a stealth killer taking it slow. They can play killers with a mix of game playstyles

While survivors are as is sure you survivor has a neat cosmetic or just look more appealing than one other but that is it. There is literally no difference between a David and a Jake . They lake something that make their characters unique different and more standout is.

I'll put it in prospective give all killers the same ability and animations

It will feel as if you're facing the same killer every game with the same build every game

I very much agree with all of that. Basically this is what made me play killer most of the time after a while.

Survivors probably should be reworked a bit, each character to be given some sort of interesting or fun ability, to make it worth switching between characters for different moods and styles.

Well maybe most frustration from the survivor side also is related to boredom, even if they don't realise that consciously. Repetition leads to frustration, and a boring time in the game. They are all the same.

Maybe don't add something gamechanging, because it would create a scenario where everyone would play one character which is "meta". But add some fun stuff, something entertaining, something that makes each character feel different is some way

A few months ago my internet was playing up and I DC’d several times in one day. Left it a few days as it turned out their was internet issues in my area so it wasn’t fair to other players to keep playing. Before this I’d have the occasional DC because my WiFi would just randomly drop, but that was usually only about once every few weeks so I didn’t bother addressing it.

When the issues were resolved I came back and switched to an Ethernet cable on my console instead of WiFi and it sorted everything out.

With these past internet issues the DC’s followed the same pattern. I’d get the red icon top left of my screen, my ping would be in the thousands etc and my game would be all messed up and the I would be disconnected and the game would take me right back to the start screen (screen before the menus) and tell me my network wasn’t working. So totally a fault at my end as the internet was down on all devices in my home at this point.

However I have recently had two occasions where I’m in a game, everything is fine then suddenly I DC. No warning icon, no time to check my ping, no signs in game that anything is wrong. I’m taken to the post game screens and told that I disconnected from a player- and there’s always a DC icon next to someone else in the lobby (was the killer both times). The internet is working perfectly in my home, there’s definitely no connection issue. I leave the post trial screen and return to the lobby and see a DC penalty. But unlike the times when my internet has dropped I’m not taken back to the start up screen.

Can anyone advise on what has happened in these situations?

probably some connection lag spike. Either coming from the router, or the provider. And your connection with the game is timing out resulting in a disconnect even if your internet still works afterwards when you check it. Monitor your network activity, probably you had a drop in your connection when the DC happened

For those who don't know - the more you dc, the longer the ban is. My last ban was 30 minutes(iirc the first ban is 5 minutes, second 15, third 30), out of 4 or 5 times I dc'd only one was on purpose, the rest were crashes. Why am I supposed to wait in a game I paid money for because of devs' incompetence?

Regardless if you DC on purpose, or crash, you are still responsible for it. I haven't had a crash on 2 laptops and this main PC for months. Your rig and your connection = your responsibility. Fix them if needed when you play online games

You DC, you harm your team. Regardless of your reasons .

Plus you did it MANY times to accumulate that sort of DC penalty. And that hass nothing to do with the devs incompetence. That's your incompetence to play online in that way

i remember when breakdown permanently broke hooks and i had to deal with 3 survivors running it per lobby and there were no bans.

i don't think this level of bug abuse is ever going to face punitive measures. i just think the devs see it as a temporary issue that they'll fix and everyone will get over it. because we will, tbh. just like we got over breakdown.

yeah but in those case how you will prove that they know about it, plus using a perk isn't an exploit at all even if they know about it. They didn't make that perk. And you are allowed to use anything the game provides. You can't be banned for a faulty perk. But there were for example situations where there were map bugs and survivors couldn't be hit or reached, and may were just trolling those spots and pretty much knowingly using the exploit to take the game hostage for unlimited time. So those were bannable offenses. And people were actually banned for that. It's a behavior involving an exploit, not a faulty perk.

I remember once also teh basement hooks were bugged, the survivors ended up below the map, but as a killer you weren't able to see it happening. That was another case where you couldn't report it, because you can't prove the killer knows about the bug.

In this case the person knows very well how the exploit works and he's actively using it, which can be reported with a video proof according to the rules

The one thing I'm NOT looking forward to is hyperfocus. BHVR says gens are getting completed too fast, so they add +10 seconds to gens....which just makes survivors use Prove Thyself, so now they are getting completed just as fast, again. BHVR admitted the gens are going too fast, then they add a survivor perk that will make them go even FASTER? Makes no sense.

Yes you are right. But let's wait to see what happens. I will try to counter it with stuff like Unnerving Presence and such, I don't know yet, let's wait for teh live release and see how it works.

I never camp anyway, so I'm psyched for the update. I usually hook then leave the area immediately to check on gens. One less perk the survivors will be getting use out of. Maybe I'll stick around off in the distance to bank some stalk meter on ma boi Ghost Face, but that's about it.

exactly! It's far more productive to keep up map pressure, even use perks like sloppyu butcher to keep more of them harmed as long as possible instead of wasting time around a disabled person on a hook. You need to defend gens, you need to find new survivors. And fast. sometimes I down somebody else quite far and if I see the hooked person I hooked before still hanging.... I know I'm doing very good right now. So that is only a good thing if you are not some boring camper counting grass around teh hook. So in my opinion, it's better for them to unhook as fast as possible because I'm going after the rest, and they have a job to do :P

And I'm hyped about the update also. I already have my eye on Awakened Awareness to be included in my builds :)

Just FYI "holding a game hostage" isn't the only criteria for being bannable. Intentionally using a bug to gain an advantage is alone enough to get a ban.

absolutely. as long as it's intentional, and people on those videos were intentionally doing it, so it's an offense which can be reported and possibly will be addressed.

I've noticed that since the Base kit BT has become a thing my kill rate in end game has droped significantly.

Now i know what people are gonna say "Don't tunnel then" but tunneling in end game is a VERY good stratagy to secure a kill. With the base kit BT if the gate is 99ed then 99% of the time the survivor on the hook once rescued is going to get out. And if you try and go for someone else they will tank a hit with their BT so you can't even get a different down.

They stoped DS and OTR working in end game because it gave the survivors a free win effectivly so why does the base kit BT still exist in end game.

With it being increased to 10 seconds with an increase up to 10% speed on top of the endurance effect end game is going to be near impossible against any half decent survivors unless your a bubba :(

endgame your best bet is slugging until they are down.

Do what I do: I slug the first, I run to the nearest gate and open it myself, I started the endgame collapse timer, and they are running out of time. Run back, by that time they will be buzzing around the slugged guy if they are greedy. share the pain here and there, another will go eventually down with more harmed probably, they will have a hard choice to make, try to get out when time is running out or die, you start hooking all who fell after they calmed down.

I actually had a few times even 4 kills during endgame collapse.

Of course try not to let them power up the gate if you can and should kill them before, but if the last gens popped, you start this brutal game, and it's an intense fight for all against time.

  • Normally using a known exploit deliberately and being reported with proof, yes it can be bannable offense

The perk would not be that strong if it had aura reading.

The aura reading would only work for the person that brings the perk and even then it'd only work if the other survivors were slugged, not when carried not when hooked.

As the killer, you'd be in complete control over how much value that perk would bring: just don't slug all the time. Might sound hard, but try pressing the button indicated on the "pick up" prompt as a first step.

Sorry I don't think this OP perk will ever happen. as killer you can slug anybody you want. and it will not be penalized. For example many times survivors group up, to body block, to help eachother so on so as soon as the killer downs someone he goes for the next, as long as there are survivors around. And this would simply make his aura revealed to all as long as the KILLER doesn't run away, or ignores the rest of the team dancing around him and picks the survivor up. Come on. let's be serious.

Same way we can ask for 24 meter aura reading around every gen which was not finished or currently worked on. Basically it would reveal every survivor in 24 meters if they just touch the gen also to stop the regression. It would reveal all survivors around when the killer chases them off the gen also. How silly would that be, right? He would see those who try to come back and resume the repair too. That would make survivors have complete control over the perk also.

So no, I don't think you will be able to use slugged survivors as aura reading beacons, plus it's part of the game, or the devs would make the killer pick up automatically if that would be unsportsman behavior.

As I said. the guessing game is also part of teh game, and not knowing what the killer is doing next is also part of the game. Because by this suggestion you are asking to know exactly what the killer does at all times almost.

    Thanks, it's not bait.

Genuinely curious as to why Clown got killswitched for a way less game breaking bug and Sadako and Myers simply get to prevent unhooks.

it is bait and actually was explained by the moderators in similar topics, that it's already in the bug report section where it belongs and they closed it. People were instructed to upvote there if they want, but the devs know about it. Now you can open new posts about kill-switch-anything you want, it serves zero purpose here and it is not considered by anyone, other than players following the forums who you want to bait with useless topics about kill switching one killer or another

clown was kill switched because it gained unlimited speed buff which was an issue with it's own ability. But so called facecamping is not enough for them to kill switch anything. I'm sure it will be patched eventually, and that's that

the title of your topic was: When are *WE* kill switching Sadako and Myers. You had your answer. "WE" are not going to.

But you can report people deliberately making use of exploits, providing video proof when you encounter this, and they might get a suspension.

  • As a killer I can't wait for people to use up a perk slot for a completely useless perk like that. (yeah it's just as useless for SWF also, in my opinion, if they disable their own teammate and keep him on the hook longer, it's their choice)

Hopefully since that's literally the function of the killswitch

It was already signaled and noted. Also other useless posts like this were closed here, and people guided to the topics in the bug report section. you can upvote it there, and that will be that. Kill switching being necessary or NOT for a bug that is up to the devs, it may vary depending on the severity of the case, you asking for it, will not change anything.

So probably opening topics like this for useless bait is not really smart.

So "WE" are not kill switching anything. They do if they see that it's really needed

  • but I love doing it with Doc OC, Unnerving Presence, and their madness high enough. It's.... Madness! lol They WILL miss those skillchecks.

  • Admit it, you would like some permanent aura reading. Let's just ask for permanent aura reading of the killer at this point and call it a day :))

So yeah it's a stupid idea. The killer downs a survivor, and picks him up, you know where he is because he is carrying a survivor. Hooks the survivor, you know where he is because he just hooked him. downs but doesn't pick the survivor up, yeah you would like to know where he is even then. all the time. no questions asked. This will not happen.

Same way killers could ask for aura reading of survivors around any gen not currently worked on around a 24, area, going up by 8m for each gen which is still standing. That would remove the poking of a generator just to stop it's regression and hiding away. See how ridiculous that is? Each survivor would have their aura shown over a good distance also when you chase them off a generator.

The guessing is part of the game, so no, there will be no such thing as aura reading over a LARGE area just because someone is downed.

In it's current state Buckle Up is one of the worst Survivor perks in the game. The benefits are so miniscule compared to Unbreakable and WGLF, that there's literally no reason to ever run it even in a build built around anti-slugging.

My change would be simple: In addition to it's current effects, you can now see the aura of the killer within 24m of a downed survivor. This range increases by 8m per downed survivor.

With this change, it can at least allow solo survivors to coordinate and safely pick up teammates when the killer starts slugging (which the more they do, the stronger the perk gets). While it won't be as good as something like Unbreakable or WGLF, it gets turned into a niche info perk (since slugging isn't always guaranteed) that could work it's way into certain builds.

    What do you think?

24 meters and going up from there? No way. Like aura reading for half map just because somebody is down? And if all have the perk basically they all get aura reading distance increase, covering the entire map basically? Nah. Maybe 6 meters for the first downed and adding 5 meters for each downed survivor, the perk disables for the the next downed survivor so you don't have multiple "beacons" for aura reading.
