I constantly see dumb ass killer mains tunneling, camping, and down right being dumb as hell because they're mad at survivors. They constantly use gen rushing or SWF as an excuse to do these things but what else are survivors supposed to do? Doing gens is the objective, why are you mad? SWF shouldn't even be an issue. If you can't counter a well coordinated team that says something about YOU as a killer. YOU'RE bad. Survivors don't owe you easy games because you're too brain dead to do your job efficiently. Survivors shouldn't have a disadvantage because they want to play a TEAM BASED game with their friends and work as a TEAM.

I would like you to spend 3 years to rethink your life decisions that came up to this point.

Alright, let's break this down one by one...

"I constantly see dumb ass killer mains tunneling, camping, and down right being dumb as hell because they're mad at survivors. They constantly use gen rushing or SWF as an excuse to do these things but what else are survivors supposed to do? Doing gens is the objective, why are you mad?"

In case you haven't noticed, it is an effective excuse, and a real problem. If a killer is faced against the game going by far too quickly than expected, then the killer's best move is to get a survivor as soon as possible. It's been made clear that a killer wins when at least 2 people are dead. Perhaps the change in strategy is because, as you said, a survivor is seriously ticking them off, or an alternate and more likely reason, is that they're trying to sneak in a single kill because gates are already powered. And yes, generators are the only objective that the survivors can do, but it's exactly why the root problem of gen rushing. The point of the killer is to "kill survivors" not to "wait until they almost win then miraculously pull a stunt that kills survivors 100% of the time constantly". We're KILLERS for gods sake, not magicians.

"SWF shouldn't even be an issue. If you can't counter a well coordinated team that says something about YOU as a killer. YOU'RE bad."

Couldn't be farther from the truth. SWF is a massive advantage against the killer due to these 'friends' knowing what perks they run, and what they're doing, along with an instantaneous way to relay information. Folks who Solo have only to fend for themselves due to them not being able to use microphones or the text chat, whilst SWFs are more effective with teamwork. Killers who play badly are the ones who take the full losses that is going against a SWF. It's primarily why there are more survivors than killers. There's a difference between "being unable to use an overwhelming power in your favor" (the one you suggest the killers having, but not really) and "Trying to catch 4 flies with medical training all working together against a dude with a single weapon and power.". It's not so much as SWF requiring to play against the Killers skill level. Frankly, it's not an issue of "Killers not being good enough" but rather "SWF has many more upsides and therefore, strength that overwhelms the KILLER instead".

"Survivors don't owe you easy games because you're too brain dead to do your job efficiently."

Neither do killers. We "Kill" baby, it's what we do. You damn bet that we'll take advantage of a survivor not knowing what to do.

"Survivors shouldn't have a disadvantage because they want to play a TEAM BASED game with their friends and work as a TEAM."

So you WANT survivors to mercilessly stomp killers regardless of skill level when they do proper teamwork? I just want to ask one thing. What do you find fun? The answer to your opinion is: 'no'. Proper fun is NOT just abusing meta perks and working together against a killer that's powerless to resist them. But rather, the proper fun is trying to triumph over an overwhelming obstacle. Lemme tell you. NOTHING is fun if you just stomp it in 10 seconds. It becomes less of a horror game and more of a clicker game. You don't need to try to achieve anything. It's why I'm confused why cheaters cheat in the first place. There's no fun in a game where there's nothing to be proud about. Just you doing the same thing... Over... And over... and over. Each time getting barely different, but too small for a difference. It's just monotonous. And it's a thing that a game should never be.

  • Huh. And I heard survivors were more salty.

Do you not take 'just turn it off' for an answer? If you don't, then it's just you being a bit of a baby. Either way, I kinda like the playerbase now being fused together. I don't really see options to intentionally turn off crossplay as well!

... Course, what with the current state of the game, I might start seeing larger differences in meta and balance between Console and PC now that Crossplay is here...

  • @DwightOP said:

Then I wounder why I encountered more cheaters in the past 2 weeks than in my entire 5k hrs previously. Something is obviously going wrong rn.

What's going wrong might be the developers.

These might be the worst ones I've ever seen.

They DONT listen to posts that are actually detailed in Why this perk should be nerfed or etc. I feel they only read the majority of posts saying "NERF THIS PERK REEEE" and they do so, shifting the balance further into one of unbalance.

They intentionally ignore some questions in Q and A's that needed to be answered.

They are believed to be biased due to them buffing things that don't need to be buffed, or nerfing perfectly balanced perks on the PTB before fully releasing it. Without no prior testing. Just a hit and run. (They should really be adjusting the perk statistics in the PTB until it's just right instead of doing last-minute changes without anyone getting to say otherwise. Look at Gearhead, as it's a good example.)

And the Anti cheat systems are poor.

  • I'm surprised now that I think that people play this consistently.

  • You have heard of 'Counterplay' right?

It's called 'Picking a bone with a totem.'

  • I mean, I suppose I get what you're going at.

But... You're taking the sloth route.

Automated Anti-cheat systems are generally unreliable.

They get the job done sometimes, but primarily, it's through *Community Communication* that gets most people banned for cheating.

That's how it's been for some time. Nothing gets the job better if you don't do it yourself, especially not an A.I.

  • On a side note: I also just now thought that in an attempt to have fun, they must directly hinder the other side from having that fun as well.

  • The term 'Toxic' is so damn flexible, it makes Feminists who yell out someone looking at them '######### them' that makes the judicial system have to double-check what they meant by '#########', look like a crude joke.

'Toxic' in dead by daylight could be used for literally anything if the Survivor (or Killer) deems it 'not right' or 'unfair'.

It can be toxic to camp or proxy, with survivors failing to realize that killers proxy or camp because they are aware that survivors are nearby and are trying to secure a kill or get MORE hooks.

It can be toxic to click your flashlight. (Suffice to say, this has become fact.)

It can be toxic to do LITERALLY ANYTHING that either side doesn't like.

It's also hilarious that the Survivors think most things a killer does, even their literal job, is 'toxic' and is 'unfun'. Failing to realize that you are having fun by tormenting the-

Oh my god. I just had a realization as to why there's so much toxicity. I'm putting this into a discussion feed, but either way.

'Toxic' in this game might be so flexible, it makes rubber look like a joke.

So trying to get someone to admit something 'toxic' isn't because they have egos and deny it. It might be the toxic thing isn't actually considered toxic by most people. But you think that there is a massive amount of things someone can do (or something bad enough) that you have to ask (or command) everyone to stop being so egotistical and admit their toxicity... Yet you don't seem to understand too many things are considered toxic for unexplained or unfair reasons.

TL;DR: This post is a joke. 'Toxic' has too many meanings and you can't just 'admit it' when you've done nothing wrong to some people.

its alright. sorry if i came across a bit harsh, i just wanted to make sure my explanation came across, and i was trying to be hyperbolic with the "constantly and forever" because i just find it funny. so if i came across that way thats my bad

    I tend to misunderstand honestly.

I won't bother pulling the 'Because I have Aspergers' to explain the rudeness I had displayed in trying to do... Whatever, to be honest.

The bottom line is: There isn't one anymore because it's been smashed by yours truly.

  • I feel immense amounts of guilt after thinking Mooky was kinda that 'entitled survivor' or other toxic person that's currently sour.

.... Yeaaaaah I think I was the one who fired thrice and missed.

    I'm getting myself a popsicle.

  • This is so stupid, I can't even think up a sarcastic remark to reply so as to make fun of somebodies' intelligence.

Are you proud? You literally have me in a stunned silence because of the stupidity of this post, and a showcase that you are not just a clown. You are the entire circus.

  • My bad.

Also, that post wasn't from 'yesterday', it was 2 days ago.

im explaining to you why its happening. thats what you're asking isnt it? why theres so many people talking about it? i'm sure i'll see another post asking why tomorrow and im going to give the same answer. because it just keeps happening. constantly. and forever.

I did make the post so I can have it answered.

I didn't make the post so someone could say 'thanks for helping to keep it alive on the forums for yet another day'.

When I haven't seen nobody post a discussion asking 'why' there is an uprising in FnaF.

  • @Mookywolf said:

i've said it in like the past 5 posts and i'll keep saying it... its a snowball effect. it started becoming a bit more popular with the release of the silent hill chapter because its also a video game, and since then every forum post every youtube video every tweet just snowballs the effect. the more people see it the more they feel the need to say whether its a good or bad idea so they make their own post them someone else new sees it and makes their own post...

sigh... it just keeps going, thanks for helping to keep it alive on the forums for yet another day

So a post asking 'why' so I can relieve my curiosity instead of searching through an OCEAN of Forums for only 5 posts explaining 'why' is worth blaming/accusing me of keeping it alive for another day?

... Quick to pull the trigger and miss, are you?

  • I legit thought this was him being serious.

Yeah, I bloody yelled out one of the supposed 'nerf requests' in surprise until I saw it was a joke post.

  • To answer the question.

I personally would like to see the "Huntress" as a main slasher in a slasher flick. I mean...

She's a great hunter, so traps (or just hatchets) and all that crap.

She kidnaps young girls, so it gives main characters a motivation to go up against the Huntress.

She is a big, hulking, russian, so an american-made flick with characters who fluently and only speak Russian would be a neat idea. She can also take plenty of hits. (Oh yeah, she might be a first in terms of a Female Slasher... I said might not is.)

The period when she was taken by the entity was during world war II, so even more jumpscares in the form of seeing the body of ded soldiers.

    So.

Your response to a perfectly understandable complaint to a buggy mechanic that doesn't register most of the time is 'git gud'?

I'm sorry, how exactly are them 'getting gud' going to assist in helping them reveal ghostface if the mechanic is less understood than it possibly is?

I'm willing to bet that literally ANY other killer is more stealthy than this asthmatic skinny legged pile of garbage.

    ......

    Please tell me you're meming.

They can blink through solid walls. As long as the place is easily accessible by the Nurse, they can teleport to point B. (Being the inside of a closed gate.)

  • Ok- Look.

I understand what you're getting at here, but this won't work if this got added. (If anything, it might increase loading time...)

You're trying to trick survivors in terms of faking the existence of their escape.

But No. I don't think this should be added in, nor is it a really good idea.

I get the touch of you trying to widen the usage of "Wake up" and "Open Handed" (To note, Open Handed doesn't work that way.)

But it's you taking up a *WHOLE PERK SLOT* just to deal with a single perk. And even then, this perk is already giving you a warning when you get close that it's not the right gate.

It's just for the endgame, which are by design, flawed, it does nothing to help killer other than to just say "LOL, wrong gate" to the survivors.

  • @samantha11 said:

I think the killer is too fast and the game is very boring because of that please change this

Get this man his baby bottle!

  • And allow survivors to bring new parts every game? I don't think so.

However, it would be a MASSIVE help for everyone if the devs increased the amount of BPs gained on all the actions, just really beef it up. We're being forced to play killer just to get around 50K with BBQ, where people barely manage 35K with WGLF. Maybe double the amount of BP gained every action! 1.8x, WHATEVER, just buff the damn numbers! It'd make the grind less of a hassle to wait 10 minutes to get into a match as a killer, and play 10 more against horrible matchmaking.

  • I absolutely love how you changed Vigil's status effect reduction without changing it's theme completely!

People have been requesting for Vigil to be changed so it can regenerate exhaustion at a slower pace, yadda yadda yadda, but you my friend, broke the cycle.

I honestly would believe that this would bump the perk up to Mid-high tiers, the ability to reduce the power of deficient status effects is nothing to scoff at. Yes, you still have the downside, but at least you aren't crippled for the rest of the game.

Just maybe buff the 50% juuuuuust a bit more, and you got yourself a solid perk! I'd say maybe... 60%? 65% perhaps?

  • It's cosmetic.

I don't see what's wrong with adding this.

  • This is surprisingly decent. This should seriously be looked at by the devs.

  • Adds an extra layer of surprise, sure, but terrible in game play.

It's easier to change where gates spawn. Especially since almost all of the maps have been tweaked to be smaller. 2 more fake gates would just kinda... be... well, ultimately, pointless other than just to add a extra layer of surprise and RNG to the game. And lemme tell ya, RNG ain't fun.

  • Baby Killer?

Usually ones that try to juke so hard, they end up juking themselves.

Or maybe the ones who are "legally blind", missing a bright as heck survivor, directly in front of them, then calling them a hacker because they didn't see them somehow.

(Honestly, it just bamboozles me how a simple move as not noticing someone can be pushed to 'not noticing someone wearing eye-catching clothing'.)

  • Limits are put onto killers to intentionally keep them balanced.

If you kept stalking in EV3, you'd basically have a mini NOED at your side that cannot be removed as long as you refreshed your duration. That's ridiculously op.

No, do not bring the Chainsaw killers into here, they need to CHARGE UP in order to get that insta-down, and even then, their options are limited WHILE using the chainsaw. As Myers, you just need to M1.

So. No. The limit is there to prevent Michael Myers from basically always having a Fragrant tuft of hair in his BASE KIT.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    It should be 2x.

    End of argument.

If that's your argument, that kinda shows that you're just entitled.

I don't see what's wrong with 50% more Bloodpoints for a longer period. If anything, you're getting more than just 3-4 days of x2 Bloodpoints.

Yet, the smartest thing you can come up with an argument is "It should be 2x"... Yeah, that's kinda the mindset of nearly every single survivor who thinks that the killer should be nerfed.

Frankly, the stupidity of the entitled community in this game will never cease to amaze.

  • Hahahahaha....

    Hahahahahaha..!

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

AHAHAH, Hooo boy, thank you for the laugh! This post is so painfully STUPID I can't help but laugh at your salty ***. Seriously, you have to be entitled beyond recognition and have an IQ of a WORM to think that Survivors were WEAKER than Killers. Let me set the stage here for you: "Survivors were almost always on the winning side." In no regard was the Killer better than the Survivor because of how this game is structured. If there's one thing I can describe it, it's stupid. So how about you take a day out of your mothers' basement and actually get a dose of sunlight on the porch before you start giving more people tumors with your hilariously stupid posts.

  • The worst DLC is actually taken by 2 Dlc's. One is a Paragraph, (Which is a DLC that contains ONLY a single Survivor/Killer), the other, well a full chapter. New map and all.

So, obviously, we got Darkness Among Us, (Legion DLC) which has the WORST killer in existence, and a survivor with barely anything decent.

The other being Ash, where all of his perks are more useless than a blendette in the bush.

Saying 'Chains of Hate' is bad is an overstatement, as the Deathslinger isn't THE worst killer, but he isn't the best. The Survivor is also more decent than Jeff.

  • MY god dude, precisely why I quit DBD and have restrained myself from buying Deathslinger. The shift of the balance is glaringly obvious. I mostly left after realizing the Matchmaking was now ######### up, since the game is now matching red ranks with newbies.

  • @BattleCast said:

I'd like to see a bunch of weaker perks looked at. My list for perks that need to be buffed is very long.

    Survivor:

Technician, Flip Flop, Buckle Up, Boil Over, Small Game, Slippery Meat, Second Wind, Camaraderie, Babysitter, Distortion, Lucky Break, No Mither, No One Left Behind, Open Handed, Pharmacy, Premonition, Sole Survivor, Stake Out, This Is Not Happening, Up the Ante (luck in general), Vigil, Breakdown, Solidarity, and finally Wake Up.

    Killer:

Monstrous Shrine, Unnerving Presence, Predator, Bloodhound, Shadowborn, Lightborn, Tinkerer, Stridor, Thanatophobia (just needs a small buff), Beast of Prey, Territorial Imperative, Dying Light, Hex: The Third Seal, Overwhelming Presence, Overcharge, Hex: Huntress Lullaby, Fire Up, Remember Me, Blood Warden, Hangmans Trick (they nerfed it into the ground for some reason), Coulrophobia, Mad Grit, Iron Maiden, Furtive Chase, Surge, Cruel Limits, Mindbreaker, Zanshin Tactics, Blood Echo, Gear Head (was fine before they nerfed it), Dead Mans Switch, Hex: Retribution, Unrelenting, Iron Grasp, and finally Distressing.

Much more Killer perks than Survivor perks so I think they should Prioritize reworking most of the killer perks but a fix for any one of the listed perks would be heavily appreciated. Im tired of the second chance meta and I think making weaker perks stronger will incentivize people to try something new.

Also, secondary objectives that indirectly nerf survivors would also be nice to see. Totems aren't secondary objectives.

Believe it or not, Totems are CONSIDERED secondary objectives, remember, hexes are a thing, what I wish to see is the totems doing more than just existing to waste time and give points to survivor.

  • He's a fairly balanced killer. I've even seen some people love playing as and AGAINST this dude. I would consider getting him after unlocking decent perks for him, however.

  • 1: Swf have so many advantages over solo. Give the killer a warning that they're going against SWF, or make Solo's just as good.

2: Mori's are literally a free kill. It's fun to do, but hated beyond comprehension. Make the requirements more restricted, and I feel it'll be good.

3: Have all killers be equal in terms of balance.

4: Nerf and Rework a few of the Survivor's must used perks... I'm looking at you, DS.

5: For Christ sake, fix the damn SERVERS and BUGS!

6: Another objective OR making the secondary objective effect the primary will assist in prolonging the game.

7: Annnnd probably more things I didn't think up to mention.

  • Distressing is a perk that's good with only a single killer, and all the terror radius perks, Which rarely get used other than for memeing.

I'm honestly concerned for you if you're getting concerned at a perk that almost always give survivors an EARLY WARNING to the killer.

Also... The INCREASED BLOODPOINTS need a change..? It increases the number of bloodpoints you obtain, how is that warranting of a change?

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Even if the killer was red rank it could still be super unfair. It doesn't take long to hit red rank as survivor so you could be a red rank killer and get 5000+ hour SWF that NEVER loses and have 0 chance or get people that are red rank but still can't run a loop and cream them.

The game is broken on a fundamental level and I doubt it can be fixed even if they fixed that matchmaker bug you've shown there.

This moment right there in that game kinda broke me down HARD. I'm starting to consider dropping Killer entirely for the sake of having an easier time as a Survivor, or at least, a less stressful time. But that makes me sad, as that means that everyone was correct, that playing killer is too stressful for legitimate online play and that Survivors have it easy.

Honestly, I'm starting to think my money was wasted, and that this game will just die like any other game. It has so much wasted potential, and the devs are too oblivious to see the state of the game they made.

I agree. he did bad in chase and it was silly to commit to me. But he could chase my friend that was next to me on the hook waiting for a opputinity to save. He hooked me right next to the 60% gen and had a fair chance to get more kills. I guess he was not confident in his chase abilitys. But in that case I wonder why he would play someone like billy.

1 - The point of camping is to breath in your face, (or away), to catch people trying to unhook the camped. Not wait for someone to come before chasin' them.

2 - I'm more concerned by the fact this Billy ignored a gen he could've kicked.

3 - I do feel he might be playing Billy because someone recommended it to him.

  • Premonition, oddly enough.

Spine chill isn't very useful to me because I tend to walk TOWARDS the killer instead of away. Don't say "Just look around for him", how does one find a killer that isn't even in view?! I kept trying to use it, and in nearly all the games, it ended with me, on a hook.

I never bothered equipping Premonition because I heard by many people, that it was a worse spine chill.

I ran it for the sake of memes in a SWF one time. And boy did I feel like I had made a dumb move for the past few days of me thinking "Premonition is #########."

My times of surviving between hooks dramatically increases when I have Premonition. Because this time, I can ACTUALLY Urban Evasion away the correct direction.

And they said Spine Chill is supposed to help people? Well, it doesn't for me.

  • I agree with ya.

So first off: I would understand Billy's position. He camped due to the fact that he wasted too much time trying to catch a survivor that was better than him.

When he finally caught you, after 4 gens were done... He wasn't being salty. He was trying to secure his ONE and ONLY kill in the game, isn't that how you're supposed to win as a killer?

Yes, camping is unreliable, but no less effective, frankly, what he did was a smart move. It's considered a scummy move, but what was the killer supposed to do when they lost 4 gens, and about to lose the 5th, and haven't killed anyone yet? You catch someone and camp.

I won't deny it though. If I were him, I would've ended that chase much more sooner. So yeah, the Billy didn't make a good move. (On the chasing, not the camping.)

The oni was perfect in the ptb, but now its just a mess

    My suggesionts for a buff:

    -Make his sprint turns better

-Improve his hitboxes, he has this huge knife but his lungue is like hags

-Make his power weapon control better when hitting survivors

-Let us hit survivors after sprinting without the need of that fatigue

The Oni released exactly as he was from the PTB actually. *at least, I think.*

    • His Sprint turns are to prevent both The Oni and The Hillbilly from ALWAYS running at a higher speed. It's there as a handicap for a reason. It's to prevent Survivors from NEVER escaping killer that goes 'fast as ######### boi' with a Exposed effect on the Chainsaw/Spiky Baton thingy the 2 killers use.
    • His lunge doesn't seem any different, however, Survivor hitboxes are actually to blame here.
    • Wym? I've seen people handle his Spike Baton just fine. Infact, it's not any different to the normal katana.
    • This would make The Oni OP. It's to punish the Killer for not hitting anyone with a sprint. If this buff was implemented, people would just use this to go across the map and ALWAYS get a free hit during chases. Again: Handicaps are there to balance the killer. If you remove them, it will make them too strong.

I honestly think The Oni is good exactly where he is.

He looks like a wonderfully fun killer.

He's extremely powerful, and viable, containing aspects of the Hillbilly.

He's balanced, I don't see any crippling drawbacks or OP abilities that make his status too strong or weak.

All 3 aspects I feel were achieved with this killer. I may be missing something, since I have yet to play him, however, I do feel confident BHVR actually did a good with this killer. He wasn't painfully weak in the PTB at first, so that's a plus!

(Thank god, I don't want the Garbageface accident to happen again.)

1 2 3 4 … 7
