Devs, as always, didnt take into account other perks that would get trashed even further with Hemorrhage update.

"I won by slugging and it felt fair." Killermain mindset in a nutshell.
-
Devs like to ignore this matter for years. Speaking about survivorsided, huh?

You guys will get in a hissy fit about legion and say he/she is boring but dont get bored of Nurse or Blight or Huntress!?
I just had 2 surv DC and rob their teammates. Like why!? Its ONE killer that needed this buff. I dont understand how he/she is the killer that everyone should immediately say is boring and just DC over as soon as you get hit by a frenzy. However, Huntress boring broken hitbox hatchets, Nurse defeats every aspect of looping, and Blight just gets the upper hand for catching you before you can even have space to breath.
Why not accept the meta of killer change instead of playing against the same top 3 killers forever?
Cause getting hit, having to mend, and repeating this process after 20s is the most boring thing possible. Matches that would take like 7 Minutes take 15 Minutes with the same outcome. Legion is just a waste of time.
-
Cause there are situation where killer even complain about DH if its just used to dodge a hit. Those uses can be easily baited by faking a hit in close distance.
And yeah how is CoH a big time investment? How about doing your math?
-
By reading your post: Cause killers shouldnt be entitled to a 4k.
-
Just use Cherry Blossoms for easy wins. Sigh. Spirit is still one of the strongest killers in game. Comparing Spirit to Blight, who still needs to be fixed first instead of getting buffs with every chapter making him even more broken is quite a joke to begin with.

So its downside is to play the game? And you have complete control of when to use it vs other exhaustion perks? Before you say instant downs. Preferably the chainsaw characters:good survivors can force a m1 using windows and pallets. Same with looping ghostface and myers till the mark/exposed wears off. They are still m1 after all.
What should be the downside if not playing the game? Having to go to the toilet once used? Do you also complain about hits missed due to Sprint Burst? Or due to Balanced? Or due to being 360ed?
-
You obviously dont main Trapper at all.

It's probably the number one complaint from the Killer side and rightfully so. There is no downside to this perk. It turns every chase into a 3 hit down. Hitting a skilled Survivor three times in a reasonable amount of time requires meta gaming on the Killer side or GG.
It needs a sublte nerf, I've been thinking about "Broken" status until you go down. At least this way if the Killer does give up chase, you will remain injured for the rest of the match essentially. If the Killer later picks up chase on you again, he won't have to three hit you again, only two.
It adds a slight negative effect which is better than nothing.
Thoughts?
You dont three hit a survivor with DH. Its still a two hit. And its downside is to be injured.

As we all know in the last dev stream it was pretty much confirmed by the devs (Patrick) that BT could be made basekit. And i swear if that happens, dbd will have to come up with BOT killers, cuz nobody will play the role anymore. After the COH and MMR abominations whatever little killer mains you have left to entertain your survivors, will leave too. The game already has no horror element to it and you're gonna make it so survivors can unhook at the killers face everytime? When the gens fly too fast (despite gen defense perks) the killer just wants to secure a kill and you're gonna take that away from them too? A survivor being toxic all game can't be camped and will get away if BT is made basekit. You guys will punish camping by making BT basekit, how about punishing bad plays and rewarding killer mind games by removing dead hard for survivors? But again, go ahead and make BT basekit, see what happens, it'll be the last nail in the coffin for this game.
If a basekit BT makes you quit the game as killer you must be pretty bad. My advice would be to learn how to play killer properly.
-
Always funny how gameflaws are titled as strategies and fair if its beneficial to killer, and on survivor side everything they do is unfair. killer mindset in a nutshell.
-
I never even submitted videos cause they always were "too big", and those hackers still got banned after some time. So it does something.
-
You have to prevent tunneling, camping and slugging as much as possible. It doesnt change anything if you just give killers even more credit while letting those issues unchanged.
-
Nobody is asking for nerfs. People are asking for less annoying gameplay.

The similarity is clearly there, you just don't wanna admit it cuz you only play one side, and you're entitled.
There is absolutely no similarity, but keep on imagining things to rant. Its obviously the only thing killer players on this forum can do.
-
Another broken killer logic. Sigh.
-
People with flashlights are always easy wins, cause they usually dont do gens, but get hit while baiting the pickup.
-
You can learn the killer even without perks.
-
If You think playing killer is worse than playing survivor, you know nothing about the game.
-
Playing hag basically always results in camping cause the moment a trap triggers youre going to teleport back at the hook. Thats exactly the issue players are complaining about for years with hag, but as laways devs ignore any involvement with "killer strategies" no matter how annoying this is.
-
I would advice the following changes:
- addons that are gonna be basekit: Makeshift Wrap, Lengthened Jaws
- traps blend into the suroundings by 50% (darker trap addons are reworked)
- traps are refilled at lockers
- new addons like "each time a survivor is hit a random trap resets", "everytime you hook a survivor all traps reset", "if a trap is disarmed you see the auras of all survivors for 3s" ... addons that are supporting gameplay not just twinking numbers on some actions that barely make any difference
- MAYBE: you can reset a trap outside your terror radius.

I mean, why is this even a thing, people stealing, your challenge, what an awful idea.
Its not a thing, cause its not possible to steal.

Understanding some false logic is worrying.

If any survivor has more than 3 times an exhaustion use something going wrong with the killer gameplay.

I do understand what balance is and I do understand that every change doesn't have to affect the other side like you are suggesting I do. However, benefitting the already stronger side without any reprocolussion is an unbalanced decision. Think of it like the scales of justice; if one side of the scale has a brick and the other has a feather, does it make sense to add another brick to the heavier side and add nothing to the side with a feather?
There are several flaws in game that benefits killers for years, theyre called "killer strategies". Those were band aid fixed with perks, which should have never been done this way. There are no flaws that are "survivor strategies", so there is no need to compensate anything just for fixing gameplay in first place. And if you think that surviors are that much stronger, it already tell me there is some bias on your side.

This is somewhat cryptic but what I'm gathering is that you think survivors should buffed by basekit without any compensation for killer? I'm sorry, but you have to be joking. A solid swf will beat a solid killer (minus a nurse) 10 times to 1, especially if they can run ANOTHER meta perk instead of BT.
You obviously dont understand how balancing works. Its not about compensating any side. That would be just bad development.
-
@DattPugg said:
It's no secret the vast majority of the survivor community wants BT basekit, so how do you make up for this on the killer's side? There are two suggestions that I have and I'd like to hear what you guys think of it. (Also these are one or the other, not both).
1: Pop basekit (to a degree)
Make it so that each time you hook a survivor you get a basekit pop, but lessen the numbers (10-15%). Not only would this help the killer during the midgame but it would also encourage the killer not to camp and find a gen to kick.
2: Barbecue and Chili basekit
Each time a survivor is hooked, all survivors further than 40 meters from the hook have their auras revealed for 4 seconds. This would provide useful info to the killer and yet again promote anti-camping. Maybe nerf it a bit so that survivors repairing don't have their auras revealed so that the killer can't control the gens too well without any perks.
Why should you make up anything for killer side, if a perk, thats just a band-aid for a gameflaw would becoming base kit on survivor?
-
I would strongly advise to learn the game. I saw you playing, and its below average. so most players are better no matter what happens to mmr or mm.
-
How cares for counterplay? Legion has probably the most annoying killer power of all. its just a mending simulator that makes the game awful to play. the changes made it just worse in terms of being annoying.
-
Those techs are already acknowledged as uninteded. however, devs are just not able to fix it, so they keep it. Other choice would be to disable blight.

Another one that completely underestimates other exhaustion perks. Youre welcome to cry a river if your game doesnt improve at all when not facing DH at all.
-
If we would delete DH, players would use Sprintburst. Next thing would be killers complaining about SB being OP. This is surely much better. Hilarious.
-
Genrush is just an alltime excuse for killer misplays.
-
If youre only having chill games as survivor, youre probably the most lucky survivor out there. Cause, its far away from chill games as survivor.
-
Youre not supposed to get infinite scourge hooks as basement camper.

nobody?
Threads on this forum prove otherwise.
There is probably one thread of complaining, while ten threads of "stop complaining" exist. I dont see any issue, than again some killer made up issues.
-
Whats more intuitive than alphabetical order? Having 5 or 6 categories to always swap between? I dont think so.
-
Yeah how can it happen that people who play a game for their first time, knowing nothing about it at all, getting setup with some game-changing rules and having to sweat their ass off due to some high price to win, getting bad experience in a genre that is fundamentally different to organized competitive scene? Sigh. Everyone who thinks that a asymetrical game can be compared to a basic shooter or fighter that has truely no hurdle if you played at least once another game of this sort, is completely disillusioned. There is nothing comparable to DBD to be played. Its a completely different game design.
-
Who the hell did come up with this stupid idea to let some completely new players play an assymetrical game as a 350k tounament? This lacks soo much professionality from those organizers, they must be really bad as company. To be honest, the other 4 games were fighting/shooter games that are fundamentally different in gameplay. DbD can be played competitive by players that know how to play it, BUT DbD on tournament is also fundamentally different then casual gameplay, especially by their made up rules that shifts the gameplay entirely.
Using this "tournament" as example for competitive gameplay is even more hilarious then playing dbd competitive in first place.
-
Why do you think most exhaustion addon got removed?

"As long as the survivor isn't in the perfect position to DH into a vault/pallet"
Killers often do not have a way to prevent this from being the case if the survivor knows how to use DH correctly.
Survivors go for extra loops knowing they have a get out of jail free card if they mess up or if the killer correctly decides not to respect a pallet after they went for an extra loop or whatever. DH rewards playing greedy with no risk involved as long as you don't DH into a wall or something.
Its not greedy if you calculate it for your chases.

The problem is that most killers don't have a way to outplay survivors DHing at a loop. Yes if they're not gonna reach the pallet but then do with DH, they planned that, but the issue is a killer can't do anything about it.
Any killer can outplay a DH if they run the loops in the right way. As long as the survivor isnt in the perfect position to DH into a vault/pallet its a down. And surely it should never be possible to outplay a proper DH use.
-
It has obsolute nothing to do with survivors wanting variety. Those players youre describing do this regardless of the killer and his build. They also dont care for variety or anything else game related. Theyre just some random idiots that want to annoy other players.
-
Its quite fascinating while being completely hilarious, that killer players still have that common misconception, that they "outplayed" a survivor, who used his DH to get to a loop. You didnt. Not even a bit.
-
Frenzy isnt a lethal ability. Deal with it.
-
Its kinda sad how people dont understand the most basic things.
-
DH isnt an issue, its the lazy try to get an excuse that survivors know how to use their perks well.
