I dunno, you could try to test it and see? At least run the same setup and see whats up.

Wraith is faster than, cloaked as long as he likes, and his uncloak timer is comparable to her spirit world entrance timer. For a killer who wants to be unseen, I think Wraith does a much better job. Especially with his ability to get KI and no bell sound from his uncloaks. Before her wind woosh, I would have agreed with you.
-
To OP,
I think the Artists interactivity comes BEFORE you are in chase. She has a unique disadvantage of telling you her general location every time she uses her power. Furthermore, you can typically guess what her gameplan is going to be.
Gamestart: (Especially with corrupt intervention) She's going to wait about 10 seconds then throw crows at the most likely generators. So either wait till she crow-throws, or be ready to leave then gen and skulk slightly off center while crouching.
Midgame: She's going to throw at any generator that pops due to her scourge hook perk. She's going to throw at any generator that might light up from discordance or tinkerer. So when you get a gen to the 4th piston, walk off it for just a bit. Bet you'll dodge a bird. Pay attention to whether or not she birds at any generator with two people. If so, you know to split up or bait the power. She's going to throw at hooks if she's in chase to check them, and she's going to throw at unhooks. So wait to hear her use her bird to unhook, or don't dally under hook and take an angle that gets you away from it.
Endgame: She's going to throw at hooks she's trying to protect, or she's going to set birds to defend against the survivor rescue force. She's going to throw at gates. Again, literally all you have to do is stay crouched (Nea perk is good here) and wait out the bird.
If she does get you with a bird, assess your timing. If you don't hear a heartbeat, walk into a locker. It literally, per her power description, instantly gets rid of crows, so its not even a bug that will be removed. She needs info perks pretty bad, I've not yet seen an Artist using Iron Maiden other than myself to counter this easy way to remove birds.
In chase, you seem to not have a problem with escaping her, you just don't like the crows. That says a lot about her. She's a scouting M1 killer who can sometimes, on rare occasion, be lethal with her power.
-
I don't think so. If I'm able to hit someone with a bird in chase, it completely removes their ability to dead hard or speed boost after the hit. It's just, down. I also use it a lot when protecting a hook. I'll throw birds at the unhookers, and follow close until they finish the repel. If they wait until after I hit them, it just makes the full chase easier.

Yeah, basically.
Seeing Grim Embrace, I'd keep my perk how it is and then buff the duration to 60 seconds.
Point 1: I don't think I'd like two perks with so much overlap. NOED is an expose perk. It helps killers kill and be powerful. It's their super saiyan. If I saw a rework I personally would be behind, it would need to keep that part of the current perk.
Point 2: If it WAS reworked your way, I think we'd see a lot of BBQ, Corrupt, NOED, Grim Embrace. 2 minutes in the beginning of the game, 60 seconds and 40 seconds in the middle of the game. BBQ to keep finding people after hooks.
Point 2.B: I think this version of the perk, requiring "4 hooks" would lead to more tunneling. If you just need 4 hooks from anywhere, your going to take the low hanging fruit as best as you can.
-
Its talked about quite a bit. The Devs just don't ######### care.

It either doesn't activate at all and you play with three perks or it gives you way too much power.
I'd rather see it become a delayed Corrupt Intervention. "After hooking 4 Survivors, No One Escapes Death activates. You are fueled by your desire to kill and the Entity appreciates your fervor. The Entity blocks all Generators for 45 seconds. This perk can be activated once."
If you want I can add a secondary effect that would specifically take place in the End Game.
Isn't that basically the artists new perk? Hook everyone once and block gens for 40 seconds.

Before all the killer mains and noob killers lose their minds and start crying No One Escapes Death needs nerfed.
What NOED should be is Once the Doors are powered you get the exposed status if you are on Death hook. NOED doesn't help killers become better if all they run is NOED. They get looped all game long and only get two maybe three hooks all game long. Then bam let's get this guy on the hook and facecamp. It happens everytime a killer runs NOED. AND I MEAN EVEEY SINGLE TIME. Then they might get two or three kills because teammates try to get the survivor. but can't.
And before I hear killers cry about D Strike. Well the Devs nerfed D strike into the ground into basically being useless. NOED should get the same treatment.
If you are on deathhook then you get exposed once the exit gates are powered. Not this not even getting downed all game long, pop the last gen, still don't know I'm exposed until I'm half way to the guy on hook just to get hit once and oh look I'm exposed, and I'm just now finding out. These kinds of perks enable killers to continue to play bad.
- I've lost a lot of survivors at the end of the game to 99'd gates and DS. It's far from useless.
- Noed is really good. It's also fragile. In most games for me, there's two boons up and at my MMR the survivors seem to either 5 point my totems, or once NOED is revealed its destroyed very quickly after.
- Its possible they might change it to show the status, who knows? I don't think it will make a very large difference. If a Killer facecamps their one NOED down, then they'll still just get one kill. There's no difference between that, and an updated status making it so the survivor swat team wont show up to bullyblocksave the guy on the hook. Who also probably has DS. A DS that will let him skate right out the door.

If killer mains are switching to survivor, that would explain the potatoes I keep getting, since it's normal to be better at the role you main than the one you don't.
Now, if survivors take no skill, why are these "killers switching to survivor" still potatoes? I thought they'd be instantly gods at it.
Man, that's a big ######### leap. You have no idea whether its new Epic players, just bad survivors, switcher overs, or anything else. Way to be a dick.

Please understand. I'm not a sweatlord by an means and the far majority of the time, I'm alternating hook states for survivors. Ya know, THEY way they seem to think killers SHOULD be playing anyways. Few few camps, usually only when I spot a chance to defend the hook. Not waiting for them to come to it and fight me for it. Fewer tunnels.
The point is that its a tall order to get kills that way, so I rely a lot on what happens during EGC. And DS activating after gates are open is just a reason for me NOT to play as above, and use the same tactics a lot of survivors take issue with.

I feel too many survivors, mind you not all, just want to humiliate the killer to feel good about themselves.
The teabagging, flashlight clicking etc., during the game and in the postgamechat, if many escape they often write gg ez and make fun of me. If i kill all or many they insult me as sweaty and because i used some unfair tactic.
I had a game today where i made 3k on haddonfield as billy and the survivors were insulting me like crazy because i had to m1 a lot "m1lly", etc. Its at situations like these that i wonder why i am still playing the game (i rarely play dbd anyway so it just reaffirms my decision to stop with dbd). You have to try very hard to achieve results and then as reward you get insulted in the postgame chat, nice
Man, I've learned to just immediately click next and move on.

I feel like Killers get some love here too though. The basement is reliable right next to a challenging gen with only one way in. You can drop from above while people try to peg your location. Doctor farts, Starstruck, Scream abilities, and all kinds of stuff works over both floors. Zombies are more effective here.
Maybe they gave it more pallets to compensate for the fact its always easy to find a hook and all of the above?
-
3 sec prolly.

Anyone who is stream sniping is using a cheat to do it thanks to dbd cheaping out on security.
Watch any content creator and especially tru3tallent because he seems to rub survivor players the wrong way and you can see them be targeted constantly by the same people.
Stream sniping is certainly dishonorable and borderline cheating, but its not anything bannable at all. If you are going to post your TTV in your steam handle, its sort of like bragging. And some killers who go to a stream aren't necessarily cheating or sniping, they just like hearing themselves talked about on stream.
I've done it myself a few times and its funny how many content creators jump to "He's screen watching me!" Uh, no. If I was alt tabbing over to watch your screen, I'd lose every chase and gen that way.
-
I like this perk too. Usually because so many high MMR survivors have the pallet loops down to a science. They can rely on X number of laps before HAVING to drop. They know how close you can be when they vault window. Using a perk to throw them off by 60% usually scores a hit or more. (The first time or two they blame latency, then maybe figure it out.)
I just feel like its a perk that helps with pressure and hits, and right now I'm leaning towards tunneling through DS's and hoping to score a draw in end game.
-
I'll give it a try. =)
-
There's upcoming changes?
-
@C3Tooth said:
Its sad how the game designed to tunnel.
- You want to keep chasing injured one down, because if you leave him, his Exhaustion will recover.
- You cant make spread out damage because if the one you're chasing success hiding somewhere, he can instantly healed up with Boon.
- You have to tunnel off hook to remove DS, so DS end game will not happen to you. I played fair as Trapper and able to do 5 hooks before 5 Gens done, constantly down with Noed, but then I ate 3 DS and all escape.
- And mostly, MMR either makes every survivors a weak link which you can freely tunnel with fear of BT,DS,DH because none of them have. Or makes every survivors good in chase, with (1) & (2) you should not break chase by any mean.
Im up for DS basekit, but should disable when the last Gen done.
I agree. I'm fine giving the players an anti tunnel tool for free. Maybe a DS with a 3 sec stun and no scratch marks or something, but agree it shouldn't activate during EGC. BT maybe even the same.
-
I don't get salty about them blinding me when I'm being friendly. There's a million challenges for blinds/stuns, and they get Boldness points for it. I suppose that comes from player a 70/30 mix of killer and survivor.
-
I'm free as a bird!
-
I usually have much easier time as survivor. Killer is rough right now.

If i have enough try for a kobe attempt while someone is coming for me why wouldnt i. kobing in there face is funny
Thus, this thread. OP is saying you shouldn't, because it tips off killer you have nothing to lose and rescue is coming. Thus, is it worth it to harm yourself and your team for a lulz?
-
Why the heck would you need to counter twins? There's been a lot of forum chatter about them. Maybe it piqued someone's interest?
Anyways, the BEST way to counter them is to run in two man teams. One squishes Victor after pounce then picks up his friend with WGLF.
-
Dude, that fear is real lol.
-
Dude. Turn Charlotte into the car, and have Victor drive her around. When he gets out, his animation can have him use a little keychain to make Charlotte make a "beep beep" noise like he's arming the car alarm.
-
Yep!
I don't usually put my enjoyment into how many kills I get, but I feel like I give as good as I get. The more I play, the better I get at bonking the sweaty guys. Hell, I'm even a Twins main and I enjoy killing more than surviving. That said, there are many times where I just feel like the game is set up unfairly against me, and I'm just making the best of a bad situation.
But I guess to answer the main question, I greatly prefer the hunt and the hook to the locker and the generator.
-
I think its TOO much of a nerf to her traps, however, it's helped out a lot in loops and mind games. I honestly dont think it should have a drawback at all. Her traps are just a slow down, and her crouch and ambush are lackluster. That said, it's like playing a slow level 1 mirror Michael Meyers.
-
But he's not a fur baby.
-
Its at its strongest during end game collapse when you are trying to manage guarding doors, downing survivors, and potentially guarding a hook. Its just too much to juggle.
-
Doesn't seem to be working. Something about search engine being down. =(
Thanks for the link though.
-
My favorite killers to play against are Bubba and Billy. Something about running away from the chainsaw is both exciting and rewarding! If I had to top 5 it..
- Billy
- Bubba (Ranked under Billy because they camp sometimes)
- Mirror Meyers (So no level 2 or 3. He's so creepy!)
- Huntress ( I like her creepy song and trying to dodge hatchets.)
- The Twins ( Kick the baby!)
-
Twins main #10 or so I guess. I picked them up the day I bought the game, because I have a set of twins IRL. I play them at least 2 or 3 games a day, and they are the only character on either roster I've prestiged at all, and I prestiged them all the way.
I too, have had to change the way I Twins. For a long while the idea way Hit, Unleash, Win Chase and pickup. But these days...I've lost too many wound states and downs to Tenacity / No Mither / Endurance / CoH / Exponential. And that's just someone on their own. Add in a smart team in decent MMR with any experience against the Twins, and they are running in pairs so one of them can smash Victor and pick up their friend.
So I struggle on...running Trail of Torment + Overcharge + Oppression + BB. I only play when I have at least a silencing cloth, (makes Charlotte undetectable for 20 sec) and hopefully also either a Top (gives Victor Franklins Demise) or a Stew. (More Victor speed)
I hide Victor in a loop I'm going towards / a gen I think they want, then M1 with Charlotte, and if I'm lucky I catch them off guard with my invisible french peasant. Otherwise, I hope to herd them to Victor and switch for a knockdown and pickup.
Its a hard monster to love right now.
If they needed just the fewest changes possible?
- Attach Victor to the downed survivor and make it to where they crawl at half speed, trigger Killer Instinct, and can't recover at half speed until he's removed by an ally. 3 seconds would be appropriate.
- Give Charlotte Killer Instinct when a survivor is around her.
- Shorten Victors failed pounce recovery to 1.5 seconds, but add 3 seconds or so to his respawn time after he's crushed.
-
In the days of Decisive Strike leading to end-game strolls out the gate, I try to tunnel every survivor to their second hook state and fish out the DS. That way, if I get them downed during end game, I don't just stand there listening to Charlotte making caveman noises and watching Dweet moonwalk out the door.
-
Agree! Devs please consider..
- Not stunning victor on successful pounce.
- Shortening his stomp window.
- Adding Killer Instinct to a dormant Charlotte.
- Greatly reducing the wake up speeds, or increasing charlottes speed the further she is from a deployed victor.
-
Them bitches be crafty. Or its a locker. Or they are just rotating around a rock as you look.

Engineer’s Fang was of course fine.
Did it make Pinhead OP? No. So what’s the issue?
Did it make him strong? Yes. That’s sort of the point.
Contrary to what the devs and many survivor mains seem to think, there’s nothing wrong with at least some killers being strong, even if they have to use an iridescent addon.
This game has what, 26 killers? Yet only 3 or 4 of them at best are able to compete vs skilled survivors. We are told this is acceptable. Frankly it’s pitiful.
Any time another killer gets close to that level, they are nerfed. There’s no getting around it. DBD is undeniably survivor sided, and survivors are overwhelmingly coddled by the devs. If you don’t know how to play vs a killer, like Wraith for example, they are nerfed so that your ability to play the game is no longer a factor.
I’ve yet to see one vaguely convincing argument for why the addon should have been nerfed.
It shifts his power too much? What does that even mean? Seems like another way of saying, it makes him stronger. Well yes. That’s the idea. What’s the issue?
It allows him to injure at range? Yea. That’s the idea. What’s the issue?
It makes him an S tier killer. Alright. If using an iridescent, the game now has three S tier killers out of 26 killers. What’s the issue? S tier killers are simply able to compete or come close to competing on par with survivors. Sounds like we need more of them, not less?
No. Engineers Fang was nerfed for the same reason everything on the killer side gets nerfed. Entitled survivors mains complaining because they don’t want to have to actually play the game, learn, improve, etc. They just want easy escapes and they only care that the game is fun or rewarding for them specifically, and the devs seem to overwhelmingly agree.
/thread. This man nailed it.

Tunneling Is reason why I don't play Mikaela after getting her to 50. Killers can have the strangest grudges as I get tunneled on Yun all the time too as if they expect me to loop them.
Not gonna lie. I knew totems would be OP and cause you to lose the war of attrition. Until the perks got spread out, I tunneled every Witch I came across. Now I don't do it on sight, because some people play her for the model and without boons. But if I know someone has boons, I tunnel them out immediately.
-
Hit validation is like punctuation. Some people understand it and some people don't.
-
I'd be down for anti tunnel if survivors had to do 6 gens instead.
-
Artist fine.
-
Huh. Nice.
-
League used to do it too, not for cheating but for toxicity.

Omg how did someone even solve that. It just looks like nonsense.

I like to hide traps in-between pallets. The survivors disarm them too much when they are placed next to generators.
I used to do this, but survivors started just predropping the pallet to cover the trap.
