Yes with certain add ons.. without them he can't.Eninya said:@The_Fallen_Utopia said:

You guys are confusing him with other killers. Nurse has more drawbacks to a single blink than Hillbilly does using his chainsaw.
Who exactly mentioned draw backs? I only mentioned the cooldown which he definitely has.. Add ons literally say "Reduces chainsaw COOLDOWN" so.. what's your point here?
A cooldown is a drawback, which Hillbilly can use his saw back to back.

I agree at this point to be honest with you. Freddy needs buffs more then this perk needs nerfs at this point. Though I'm a fan of the Nightmare on elm street movies so.. that could be why I think that lol.alivebydeadight said:@The_Fallen_Utopia said:
I just read the patch notes of the new mid chapter patch and yet again Decisive will go unchanged.. who else knew this was going to happen? I'm not annoyed just disappointed really. Least they buffed Noed 1 and 2.Oh and I see no Freddy buffs either.
DS is easily countered by enduring and i believe trappers skill check perk (I dont like his perk and cant remember the name) and really just docs tier 2 or 3 madness easily counters it so i prefer them focusing on krueger and not on ds, also if you think i typed this cause i like ds i really dislike the perk

Maybe if they wouldn't spawn 2 feet from a generator they'd be better..Peasant said:@The_Fallen_Utopia said:
The devs said they are working on a few changes for totems such as making them smaller and harder to see and making it so they spawn further from generators and be more out of the way and hidden.I believe their exact words were something about making totems just a skull. Though that won't do jack if they spawn in the same spots.

Ah yes.. what some people would consider a balenced mechanic...Peasant said:@The_Fallen_Utopia said:

The issue with your first idea is it can get to the point of being completely broken.. it's denying the killer their tracking abilities and completely ruins certain perks. It would need a few changes to be balenced imo.
-
Even when people aren't SWF when they die they still see the perks and can message the survivors who are still alive. Less likely to work sure but still a potential issue in it self. They should block the killers loadout for all survivors SWF or not until the game is over.

If these changes go through I may actually start camping sometimes to keep my rank lower. Right now I never camp unless they are rushing the hook or the gates are powered but this is making camping seem like the better option.. I don't know if you've heard otherwise but I never see any killers actually want to rank up faster. I only see them wanting it slower right now.Peasant said:@The_Fallen_Utopia said:

I'll be frank folks, if this change is passed it will help killers who camp stay low, do you know what that means? Next time the developers have a "Play with the devs!" event, I'll bet 500 iridescent shards, on more than 1/5 of their games seeing them camped.
Yep.. I think so too. As I said earlier the change will only increase camping not decrease it. If people want stay low rank while still getting points they could just play a match normally and then camp the rest of it to lower the chaser Emblem.. this idea really isn't well thought through imo.
I'm actually very excited to see if this goes through or not. If it does, I just can't wait to see the devs get camped. It will end in a disaster of course as last time a staff member fell victim to unpleasantness in-game (i.e. Mathieu's Blinding Session) there was a massive nerf towards that mechanic. However, since the devs have defended camping before I am curious to see what changes they would do if they decided it had become a problem. Unless of course this is their change, in which case:

-
Honestly any buff to any killer improves their camping ability.. that's how I see it. So there should be no reason to not buff Leatherface. He's only good for camping atm and if they buff him to be less reliant on that then it's a good buff.IronWolf115 said:@Nickenzie said:

More like buff him so he can do more then camping.. duh
Lol, no need for the camping salt because @IronWolf115 said that he wanted to make him better in general and not a better camper!
Indeed, all the buffs I have suggested here would help him in chases. Would they help him in camping also? Yes, but realistically ANY buff to him would buff his ability to camp soooooo, yeah.

@megdonalds I believe this is something called a "joke" you heard of those? You know when people say something to make others laugh? I wonder if you know what real life means if you say that..
-
Even with these changes Hillbilly would still be stronger.. so these definitely wouldn't be op or anything. Which to me means it's a step in the right direction so good job with this buff idea.
-
@Wolf74 Oh I see. Do they want every power having a cooldown now? Because that would be a horrible change.
-
It does have a cooldown. Hillbilly has add ons to reduce that cooldown. And it's already around 3 seconds by default..
-
No we've had to deal with this perk for 2 years now.. we have the right to be against the imbalanced mess called Decisive Strike.. with due respect the skill check is very easy to hit for most people with semi-decent hours put into the game.. a free escape in a game where time is your most important resource is not ok.
-
I'm assuming the OP would love going against a killer with Overcharge 3 if he thinks the skill check is hard to hit..
-
@yeet Obviously survivors think the truth and killer bias are the same thing now.. the games that imbalanced they can't tell the difference.
-
I hope this is changed soon. I love Blood Warden but it's ruined too often by SWF.
-
These perks might need a few number changes. Especially the first one since Hexs are easily destroyed.
-
The devs are supposedly going to buff solo survivors to be on the level of SWF and then buff killers to be even stronger.. so far though I only know 1 change they made for this and that's letting all survivors see who the obsession is.

I agree that a bleed out timer is the better option. For the reasons you stated and.. well if they can't lose the killer within 1 minute they probably shouldn't win that chase anyway. I do hope the devs see this thread because it would be a much better change then they had.Nickenzie said:
I changed my OP to match your Spine Chill idea, this rework is always gonna change if people keep providing me reasoning to change the perk. Additionally, I don't like the broken status effect for multiple reasons:Mercury said:@Nickenzie said:
Mercury said:Is it like Diversion though? Couldn't the Survivor just loop you for a whole minute and still get the benefit? This would still be a nightmare for m1 Killers then.
The perk won't charge up when in a chase, just like Stake Out. I thought that I put that in the Rework, I'll check it again lol.
It's alright. Since you planned for it, I can definitely agree this is a nice and well thought out change to dstrike. Would definitely like to see something along the lines of this.
And whether it's bleedout or broken would have to be tested, whatever feels better.
-Survivor can loop you for a awhile
-Broken status effect is useless since you're likely gonna chase the survivor again and the "You can't heal" part would never be a problem to the survivor
-Bleed out timer adds pressure to the survivor since they can't loop you forever
-More pressure = Higher chance of the survivor messing up a mind game. -
Oh well in that case I think this is a good idea. Better then spamming the struggle buttonDarkWo1f997 said:

Ah I see. I'll probably pass on getting that perk then. Thanks for letting me know about that. I thought I knew every killer perk but guess I heard so little of that one that I forgot it existed lol.Mringasa said:Terrotorial Imperative (spelling?). Huntress Perk. Let's you see the Aura, and get a sound notification, when you are a certain distance from the Basement and a Survivor enters it. Can be good for a build based on Basement Camping/Patrolling, maybe including Monstrous Shrine and Insidious. Not very useful though overall.
It does have its moments though. First time playing through as the Huntress I used it a bit. Caught quite a few people out since it's never expected. Low/Middle Ranks though. At High Ranks, 8+, it's most likely a wasted slot right next to Third Seal.
-
@Rebel_Raven that was a PTB change that never made it to the full game. It was unfair according to the devs.
-
@Mringasa I'm high rank though so I probably can't use the perk. Plus I've already unlocked it by levelling Hag anyway. Is the other killer perk any good? I don't recognise the icon but I think it's a basement perk?
-
I'd prefer not to have to slug someone in order to get a fair chance at the 4th kill. Not fun for either side. At least letting the killer close it would make it more like a race to find it instead of what it is now.
-
Ah.. I see then.. you're just new so you wouldn't understand what some of us have been through for 2 years on this game.. fair enough.
-
This is probably the worst shrine I've seen in awhile.. are any of those perks actually any good? I know Third Seal isn't and No Mither is basically hard mode for survivors.
-
Well.. least we got the totally op Hex: Third Seel! Now the survivors are bli- oh it's already destroyed.. lol thanks for posting this. Was about to check what was there myself.

Ironically @Thetruth speaks lies.. There is definitely a lack of counter play for the benefit it gives them. Decisive Strike is the handicap here.. not the changes suggested here.. Get some skill? What? There's no possible counter play except juggling most of the time.. if you can't see that.. Well I'm not sure what to think.
-
Agreed. Any attempt at a change is better then leaving it in it's current broken state.
-
Now that is a tell tale sign of a survivor main wanting to show off to some people by facing lower rank killers to look good. Did Decisive Strike build their ego up too much? I have no doubts about that?ChesterTheMolester said:

The perk just needs to be more like Deliverance, where you need to do something in order to gain a benefit from it. Currently when a survivor uses DS, they technically have 4 lives. Decisive Strike, phase 1, phase 2, and then finally they are dead.Lowbei said:

i would support a change that required a condition to be met to activate DS.I think you'd need to take out the Obsession chance increase since if the killer knows you have it they'll just make sure you don't get the requirements to use it.
Perhaps make it so the person has to do an Altruistic action in order to use it although you'd have people fighting for unhooks at that point. Which from a killers point of view is a good thing since it's more targets and less gen progression.
You could also make it specific to either healing others or unhooking and not self healing with SC or a Medkit. So if you unhook it increases your chances to struggle by x % and heals does it by x as well with unhooks being worth more.
But make a cap on how much you could get % wise overall on the struggle % increase.

I'm assuming this.. survivor with the Quinton avatar is only here to troll and is a whiny survivor main.. I'll look for this other post that was mentioned to see if he is the one who cried.
-
@Lowbei if Decisive had a requirement then I wouldn't mind it not going into the state the devs said it would. But as it stands now there's no counter play to it. And even less on the PTB with the hook changes. Can't even juggle them to hooks most of the time now probably. A survivor perk should not completely ruin the match for the killer because that's basically ruining it for it for a whole team. Since the games a 1v4 perks should be balenced around that and not as a free for all or whatever it is now. Sorry if I ranted on a bit I'm just very disappointed in this patch.
-
@powerbats and you're forgetting that this is not the first time the same Decisive change has been delayed.. And I knew the exhaustion nerf would happen and that wasn't delayed twice.. I fail to see your point here.. and that quote "All you killer mains" tells me more then enough about you.. I want what's best for this game and that is balence while you? I'm not even sure why you are bothering me with this. Just because I'm a killer main doesn't mean I only want killer buffs. But no one can deny this games been imbalanced for the longest time.
-
@ChesterTheMolester Hopefully that's not the case. I've played more as the Wraith then the Spirit so far just because of the changes. lol
-
@powerbats Normally I would think differently but if you paid attention to past times you'd know this is not the first time they lied. So don't try acting like I'm saying this because it's the first time this happened because it's not. I'm sure some others would agree.
-
I had high hopes that he'd be buffed/reworked this patch and that Decisive would finally be out of the overpowered zone.. but for whatever reason (which I don't understand why they couldn't tell us already) they decided to delay both those things. Both of which are needed.PhantomMask20763 said:

I've heard that they only get scared if the survivors standing up and never while crouching. Unless the survivor directly makes contact with it such as stepping on it. I'm not entirely sure though.palotheas said:@The_Fallen_Utopia said:
