  • I get pigs who put a RBT on you and then facecamp you anyway.

Guess they just need to make sure you're out of the game lol

I also often see hags who put down 5 traps around a hook and also facecamp.

Some people just can't think of any other way of playing I guess.
  • It is objectively Feng.

Her voice is completely out of place but please never change those hilarious little squeals she has.
  • That doesn't sound OP at all...
  • I've never rated Myers that high either. He's weak to loops. Sure he has insta-downs but he has to earn them via stalking which slows him down.

He's only deadly if the survivors play poorly. Letting themselves all group up near him is the common mistake at which point he hits EW3 and pops them all down. That's on the survivors though.

His add ons however I agree with you they are insanely broken. Unlimited EW3 - broken, and the add on where he can tap M1 and insta-kill a healthy survivor? Probably the most broken thing in the entire game.

Beyond that I think he's fine where he is. I agree with other comments here that it's Hillbilly whonjeeds the nerf. Always available instadown and he doesn't have to "earn it" like Myers does.
  • At the moment its like 10 mins.

Usually for me killers lobbies are pretty much instant. That's going from around rank 11/12 green after reset to red ranks.

Only time I had problems as killer was when I first started. Rank 15 and under can be rough, rank 20 really bad. I remember thinking the community was dead when I first started.

The Pig is the worst killer in the game by a mile due to how toxic she enables killer to be. Give me a 4 man squadette over her anyday.

What can she do that's worse than any other killer? She can put a trap on your head before tunneling you... but if she does, then it's actually no worse than being tunneled by anyone else. She can guess you're going for a jigsaw box and patrol them... while the rest of your team does gens.

Piggy has a choice - when she wants to be super mean, she sacrifices her chances of winning the trial.

Camping... any killer can do that. And doing it crouched is no more effective than doing it standing up.

Crouching around a corner though lures in survivors closer than they would be with any other killer asife from Wraith so she has an advantage.

As for the trap...well it's annoying. You're trying to get the trap off, the timer is ticking and she's lurking the boxes looking for the tunnel.

Its the fact that 1) you can't hide from her like you would a normal killer becausd you NEED to go to the boxes and 2) She doesn't need to tunnel you because you won't be doing gens anyway, but she will do it and chase you across the map for 3 gens and it just feels really sinister and spiteful. Like they could use the time of you being distracted and slow down the trst of the team but no they're contwnt to just make one person have a really miserable game.

    I really hate The Pig.
  • I completely agree.

3/10 pigs just crouch and camp the hook.

The other 7/10 tunnel the person with the bear trap on all the game then go online to cry about how gens get done too fast.

The Pig is the worst killer in the game by a mile due to how toxic she enables killer to be. Give me a 4 man squadette over her anyday.

I play both sides, and if all you do is tunnel/camp as killer you are trash sorry. Good killers don't resort to cheese tactics like that unless they are pushed to do it. I can consistently 4k without tunneling or camping because I'm not a jackass that just chases one person all game.

Catching 1 person and then camping/tunneling them to death is super easy mode as killer. IDC what you say, it's the cheap and easy way to play killer. Justify it how you want, if that's all you do you are a ######### killer.

That said a lot of survivors have a very skewed perspective of what actual an actual tunnel/camp is. You can tell when a killer does it because they have to and when they do it because they want to.

If you are tunneling and Camping you are bad because you will get 1k. MAYBE a 2k once in a while.

If I get 4k off tunneling and camping....well....it's the survivors who are pretty darn bad....because there is no way a killer should ever manage to get 4ks from tunneling one at a time lol!

Yea except that survivors MUST come save the guy or lose benevolence. If they let that first guy die on the hook chances are they won't pip. So then of course people will come to save, at least one, at which point if it's early enough in the game and you have 1 on a hook and 1 slugged, the best survivors can hope for is hatch. Before emblems you can entirely blame a loss to a camp/tunnel killer on bad choices, but with emblems they are forced to make the save. The only other option is to gen rush to escape without going down, but then you gotta hope you get enough Evader to pip.

It's cheese, flat out, and you are a ######### scrub killer if that's the ONLY thing you ever do. And because of emblems you will pip more often than not because survivors are forced to save.

Exactly. You lose benevolence, and don't get any evader if you don't fall for a campers trick. You need to do all this to pip.

Killer mains know this. They just don't care. They'll tell you how it's a "LeGit StRaTeGy!1" but then cry on here about looping and flashlight saves.

I just take it as the aign of a bad killer. They're not smart enough to mindgame at loops, they don't have any technical skill either, so they can only win by camping and NOED.

I personally find the chases fun. That's why I chase. I like the feeling of earning my kills also. Not much point though when it's just as easy to camp, tunnel and NOED.
  • Here are some questions for you guys to chew over.

    1) what perk do you think got an unnecessary nerf recently

    2) what perk do you think currently needs a buff

    3) if you could remove one survivor perk what survivor perk would it be

    4) what is your favourite perk in the game

    1) No idea. I can't think of any off the top of my head.

    2) Surveilance.

    3) Decisive strike!!!!!

    4) Bloodwarden. It's just so devious.
  • Killer mains in DBD right now.

    - Camp hooks all game.

    - Run NOED to make up for it.

Post online - "I LuV iT wHeN bAbY sUrViVoRs SeNd Me SaLt.

Like....you never question why they give you salt. Or why you're constantly earning under 20k in a game.
  • Yeah if one person insta disconnects and another suicides immediately on the hook I'll cut the last 2 a break so they don't de-pip due to circumstances outside of their control and let them earn some points.

Most killers don't. Not that it's their fault technically if you want to get into that.

But then how does that make me feel as a survivor? It makes me feel like solo isn't worth playing, and so I'll leave the game until friends are on.

Then killers complain about SWF again.

    It's a vicious cycle.

When you rank up most wraiths don’t camp

rank 1-3 says otherwise and a good portion of Wraiths either hard camp within 2 steps or so of the hook some with Insidious. Then complain post game chat about getting gen rushed after hard camping 1st hook and not a single gen has been done. The rest of the campers go about 10-15 steps away and camp and also complain about being gen rushed.

The other funny thing is post ame they say ez, as if it actually takes skill to sit there and camp a hooked survivor.

All true but don't say it on here or you'll get a mountain of salt sent your way.

Gens times need to be increased so killers have time to facecamp ALL of the survivors didn't you know.

They all cry camping is a legit strategy and then cry when it doesn't work out the way they want it to. God forbid they actually put some effort into the game.

The point I'm trying to make is that killers get gen rushed and then run to the forums or reddit to cry about how survivors have it so easy and every game is a cakewalk for them.

I can tell you that there are a lot of crappy games like the ones mentioned above. A lot. Its every few games.

Yeah some games they get to gen rush a killer and work great together. However some games they get hit with disconnects, insane lag, trolling from teammates, unsafe unhooks. If they disconnect from these games too they're told its bad on them and they lose two pips. So nerf survivors anymore and these crappy games get even crappier.

So we have the same doublestandards as usual.
Balance survivor around the worst possible teammates.
Balance the killer around the top notch best killer around there.

To spell it out for you: THAT DOES NOT WORK.

Either you balance for bad player or you balance for good player. But you have to do it for BOTH sides.

What I'm saying is its hard to balance it when the community is so ######### right now.

Don't pretend tou want both sides balanced anyway. All people on here do is cry for killer to be buffed.

I can undersrand having poor teammates. That doesn't bother me. Can't expect everyone to be good at the game or always make the besr decisions. Rage quitters and trolls however there is no excuse for.

Or just consider those free games given to you to make up for the times you get gen rushed. Whatever.

In fact thats a point. Killers have it soooo hard. Game after game tonight ive had a tool unhook each member of the team immediately after they've been hooked. You've got survivors basically going the killers job for them lmfao

But nooo its sooooo hard for killers!

Are you really that bad at mathematics?

How long does it take to down the first survivor?

If he is half way decent and knows what he does every hit will take ~30-40 seconds. At first with all the pallets available rather more than less. So plus the time to carry and hook, 3 gens can pop on the first hook.

Now tell me again, how is that not easy for the survivor?

At that point the killer can either camp the one kill or chase. After a free unhook, he can repeat the first chase and the gens are done and the gates are open on his 2nd hook.

But you will claim this calculations are false of course.

    As usual.

No, I'll say what you would say...

    Stop whining and git gud.

Don't put words into my mouth, buddy.

But nevermind… I see that you are impervious to reason, so why bother…

The idea of "git gud" is different for killer/survivor.

There is a cap at how "good" a killer can get. Even when playing perfectly with all the best perks/addons, a really good killer is no match for a swf group, or even a well coordinated survivor group.

Someone else on these forums said it first, but we basically play off survivor mistakes. If the survivor group is playing pretty flawless, swf or not, there is only so much a killer can do.

Most of the time, there is balance, but not against well played survivor or swf groups.

Basically, the "Ceiling" for getting good is much higher for survivors than it is for killers.

"Git gud" is toxic and dismissive and is used by both sides to dispell any talk of nerfs to the opposing side.

I play killer and survivor a lot. I can see both sides of the arguments.

Survivors biggest obstacles are other teammates. The amount of disconnects you get or people trolling by pulling you off hooks or bodyblocking.

As much as the killers on here act noble and pretend they punish this in the game it's not the case at all lol

Take the game I just had as an example. 4 men vs Freddy. 1 disconnects instantly as soon as they realize its freddy. Second guy gets caught shortly after as I do a gen and kills themself on the hook.

Third guy gets caught and downed. He tries to kill himself but I pull him becauase at this point im desperate not to de-pip. Freddy grabs me as I try to pull him off.....decisive strike saves me. ######### decisive strike. As a killer I hate the perk but in situations like this I can see why it's in the game.

So then i just loop freddy. He gives up. Kills the other guy then comes for me.

In the end i only just get a safety pip.

That's the survivor experience. That's why perks like decisive exist.

Or they cry about borrowed time. But you get pigs and wraiths whose whole schtick is to hook and cloak/crouch and camp. So they came out with borrowed time.

Broken perks exist because of the way killers play. Unbreakable is another one i see people hate on - but thats because you get so many hillbillies just leaving people slugged on the ground.

As a killer yes gen rush exists. Decisive is a major cause towards it imo a sneaky decisive can hurt you early on when you desperately need to build momentum.

How many games I'm in and one or more of my team disconnect - instant points to killer, and we're shafted.

So many games where only 3 people load in and the victory is pretty much handed to killer on a plate.

But nooo, its the survivors who have it too easy!
  • Yes, people like you ruin the game for a lot of other people.

There's nothing technically wrong with what you're doing, it is allowed but a lot of people do not like it and it's easy to see why they send hate your way.

You're probably causing people to de-pip just for the crime of being first hooked. Also you give the rest a boring game.

I hope the ones that get away teabag you to be honest.
  • He definitely needs nerfing.

You can switch from some of the mid tier killers to him, have zero experience with him and still feel godlike in terms of power over the survivors.

Nurse at least takes practise. Billy requires very little skill in comparison.

His chainsaw is the problem. Its so easy to 1 hit them. He shouldnt be able to walk behind people and 1 hit so easily.
  • Wolf74 said:

Survivor have these weird doublestandards which come from the wrong assumption that the killer is the powerrole of the game and would not need to use all the tools available.
Survivor "need" to use every cheesy crutch they can get, but killer should play "fair" and give them extra chances.
This is far from the truth, but they either don't get it or deny it even if they know it.

And Killers have a victim complex. They act all "woe is me" acting like they have it so hard and how survivors need nerfs and how they're honourable nice killers and they want everyone to get along and not be toxic.

Then you get games where 2/3 people spawn in and the killer still tunnels the hell out of everyone and causes hatch stand offs.

Really? 2 people disconnect early, and when it comes down to the final person you're still going to cause a hatch standoff? How desperate are you for a 4k.

Then we've seen their true colours from this event. Pulling people off plants for easy kills, people giving up on hooks but killers still tunneling the hell out of the few remaining survivors, hags trapping plants.

They get healing changes too to slow down the game. Good right? So what happens? They just tunnel harder and continue to cry that gens get done too fast.

Survivors need cheesy crutches? And I guess killers facecamping and then using NOED to clean up the rest is a legit strategy though right?

This victim narrative needs to end. Killers can be as dirty and toxic as the survivors they face.
  • Ok it was fixed last night but seems dead again now. Very strange. Normally there are plenty on at this time.
  • Yeah I know what you mean. When I first started it would take forever. Or get 3 people in and then take 10 mins for a 4th. I thought the game was dead but no it was just rank 20. This was only a few months back.

Just stick with it. A few levels in it will sort itself out I promise you. Queues are back to normal tonight after the event change

  • Yeah you live and learn. There was some good ideas in the event, shame it just didn't pan out in the way it was meant to.

Hoping the next one is great.
  • Blueberry said:

Those stressful games seem to only happen when you get the swf groups, which unfortunately happens quite a lot.

The worst part is when you beat them one will disconnect so the other can immediately jump into the hatch, then they start getting really toxic in the post game chat.

Bad players and even worse losers.
  • It's a hard game to balance. This isn't like Call of Duty where you're both walking around with guns and can both perform the same actions.

Killers can kill. Survivors can't do anything. So survivors are given pallets. Which means they're either completely safe or completely unsafe at any given time. If they drop pallets vaults windows they can't be hit. If they don't then they can't defend themselves.

Thus the only way to balance is to carefully maintain the right balance of pallets and vaults. You want the survivor to be able to dash from a gen to somewhere safe, but you don't want pallets placed so close that survivors can go from one to another to another to another and loop a killer completely around a map.

Some maps are ok. The survivor gets a few defences and then is forced out into the open.

Some maps have jungle gym next to jungle gym nsxt to killer shack next to pallet loops.

In terms of perks....indivually none of the survivor perks are OP, but when multiplied X 4 they become a problem. Therefore survivor perks should ideally be weaker than killer perks.

    Decisive Strike needs to go.
  • Just to be clear on this issue from a 10,000ft view. Survivors don't like camping because it makes a single round less than perfect for the person being camped, correct? Is a single round of being camped, less than 5 minutes of gameplay, so upsetting that it's the actual reason for hundreds of threads?

I'm seriously asking because I play both sides and have yet to get upset about being facecamped because it's such a small amount of time wasted before I can join a new game.

Because it's horrendous for the person on the hook, it's boring for the other survivors, and it causes people to de-pip in a spiteful way.

People want to win but they also want a bit of a thrill. There's none to be had when you're either dangling on a hook unable to play, or holding M1 unchallenged until the gens are finished. That isn't why people play the game.

It happens quite often that's why it's such a big issue.

Plus sometimes people just D/C when they're being camped. So the killer gets his quitter bonus and can camp someone else and win this way. He doesn't care, to him it's another 4k.

How about "don't be the first on the hook"?

Do not jump the very first gen you see.

Do not run towards the nearest objective.

Try to play stealthy until you know who the killer is and actually where?

Wait until he found someone else first and than take action.

I know, it's hard, because survivor love their gen rush and rather complain than adept, becasue that worked for 2 years now and Devs always gave what you asked for.

    God why so bitter?

Why does it always boil down to "get gud"

Sometimes ######### just happens. There are times when you will be spotted even if you try to be stealthy. You can't win EVERY game.

[BAD WORD] lol at these killers whose excuse is always "dont be caught". Well fine, next time you cry about gen rush the answer will be "dont get gen rushed".

    Where have I been bitter?

If someone is complaining to "always get caught first" and "always get camped", maybe he should consider my ideas.
It's not just "git gud", but maybe he should "adapt/adjust" his way to play.
If it only happens every couple of matches, you can say "crap happens" and get over it, but if that happens to you often and you get frustrated about it, look for a way what YOU can do first ingame, before you come crying to the forum.

And about your crappy little "lol those killers"... we killer get the same stuff all the time from survivor player, "Just break the pallet"... "change target if the loop you"... "tunnel em before they heal"..."Mindgame them"... yadayada.
So my suggestion is actually something that is not just a meme, but an advice, while 99% of all survivor advice is just a blatant lie or complete missunderstanding of the game.

Where did I say I "always get caught?"

Sometimes it's me, sometimes it's other people. Its called having empathy ya know, I can relate to how crappy it is for that person who got unlucky, hooked early and is now being facecamped so will get no points and a de-pip.

"Gen rushing" isn't an answer. It's only an option in SWF. If you play solo you have no control over the two other members of your team wasting time going in for the save and getting downed. Sometimes they do it just because they feel a moral sense of duty to do it. ######### killers take advantage of this.

It happens far too often. This is the problem with killers, they all cry about SWF but so many of them play in a way which makes people feel like they only can play with friends to have an enjoyable experience.
GOOD killers take advantage of it. Not my fault if 2 survivors rush the hook 3 seconds after I put someone there. Blame them. They are the ones that ki!led you.

Swf isn't required to do gens while the killer is camping. Or find chests. Or do totems. Goods survivors take advantage of a killer wasting time face camping.

Sucks for the one on the hook, but if it is really just bum luck, there is always next game. But  if this is happening consistently for you, you may have to adapt your play style.
Yes people rushing unhooks in front of the killer is a common problem. The survivors take full blame for that.

As do killers who facecamp for the sake of it when nobody is there.

Again you can't help what other survivors do. You cant stop them rushing unhooks. You can't stop them from playing altruistic against a camping killer.

You're entirely at the mercy of the matchmaking system. So then you play more SWF, but then more killers complain about SWF etc it's a vicious cycle.
  • My biggest reason for camping is that the other survivors make it the best strategy. If I'm camping you it's because I can see your little friends coming to get you and it makes 0 sense for me to leave the area. I think this aspect gets overlooked a bunch on the forum.

If another survivor is clearly in the immediate area around the hook, I'm going to stay in the area, get the hit or even the down before moving on. It would be crazy not to. Granted this is more of a roaming the hook type camp than the face camp just a note.

Nah the ones I'm on about camp for the sake of camping.

Wraith and Pig players do it because rhey have no terror radius so they can just sit there and jump whoever comes.

Trapper players "patrol" but you can see all your allies far off in the distance. It's funny those times when you're left to die on the hook, and this guys camping hard and not realizing that nobody is coming. Jokes on you buddy!

The funniest is the Hag. Puts all 10 traps down around the hook......then facecamps anyway. LOL!
  • It's always Neas who do this to me. Everytime. They slam lockers and dive pallets to give away your location.

Ugh...groups like that give SWF bad names. Today I was against (at least) a 3 man SWF group and they all ran Dead Hard, Decisive Strike, WGLF, and Sprint Burst. They teabagged and wanted you to hit them to get their WGLF stacks up and flashlight flickered. Two of them escaped. I’m just lucky I’m really good with The Spirit, any other killer and more would’ve escaped. It doesn’t affect me personally the way they play because it shows more of their character than it does yours. Not all SWF groups are like this, I run into more good sports than toxic groups but when the toxic groups come in it hits you hard.

By the way it seems as though Quentin is the WORST offender of being toxic when prestiged. Him and Kate players also seem to be so annoying and act like they are the best players ever. I know most people say Claudette or Nea but for me it is ALWAYS a prestiged Quentin or Kate.

Oh wow, someone else who knows the evil that is Quentin.

I don't have too many issues with Kates but I really hate Quentins. They're always tryhards, always try to exploit everything, and cry about your add ons and perks but bring d-strike and insta heal med kits and don't see the irony.

His face bugs me too. Guy looks like one of those people you just want to punch.
  • Hag. Easier to use, better perks. Ruin is top tier. Devour hope....eh it doesnt last but will be fun that rare time it does.

Edit: or maybe Spirit. She's less annoying to go up against  i shouldnt be encouraging 1 more hag player.
  • It needs to go. There's no defense for it.

It wastes too much time and punishes the killer for doing his job. It really is a get out of jail free card sometimes.

It's not comparable to NOED. NOED can be stopped. You can't stop someone from using DS. Plus NOED is an endgame crutch perk just like adrenaline, DS is the kind of crap that causes you to reach endgame with multiple survivors alive.

You can juggle in certain circumstances only with the obsession but this wastes more time than it should do.

Sabotaging hooks, bodyblocking requires teamwork and time. Therefore it is balanced.

DS robs the killer of a hook and doesn't require the rest of the team to lift a finger. It's not a fair perk at all.
  • It's hilarious how some stupid cosmetics can cripple the game like this.

Killers can't get lobbies. Survivors risk death just tl farm nectar.

Not going to pretend I haven't been doing the exact same thing. We're all nectar junkies.
  • Killers - Hook a guy and then sit on them for the rest of the game.

Also killers - gens get done too fast!!!!

They cry that perks like Borrowed time are OP, but then it's easy to see why its in the game with the way some killers play.

Even Decisive. I HATE Decisive but I'd be lying if I said there wasn't times I wish I brought it with me when you get tunneled over and over again.

It's like half of the stuff that annoys killers exists because of the way they play. The crappy killers ruin it for the rest of us.

Just sit next to the person on the hook and kick back, read a book or something like most killers do. Then try to mop up the rest with NOED.

This strategy seems to be all the rage these days. Doesn't look very stressful.

Guess we know what somebody's most frustrating experience has been... :chuffed:

It's so boring lol for the person on the hook and the ones left to hold M1 on a gen unchallenged for the rest of the game.

It's also boring as killer too. The fun is in the chase. It's catching the little toerags after they try to loop you and t-bag.

I'll never get those people who hook and just sit there.
  • Easy, try to actually lose the Killer instead of being a noob and abusing loops.
    - Tells people to lose the killer

    - Has a Doc avatar, and Doc in his name

     :p
  • You know its funny. DBD isn't the best looking game out there, generators look awful, but the dev team sure put some work in making that detailed

Everything was fine before the event, even in the first days during the event I got instant queues.
Now that survivors are done with the quest on their side, killer queues are insane.

    Coincidence?
    I doubt that

Yeah it was fine post-patch but before the event. It's definitely the event.
  • I need my shards for buying perks from the shrine I already own. Bloodpoints >>> cosmetics.

So I just end up buying a few cosmetics here and there. I think they're overpriced if I'm honest, but then when I consider how much I paid for the game compared to the insane amount of hours I've got from it, it becomes easier to justify.
  • Spirit and Hag. They are just... Brutal. I love it.

I like the clowns, but why does he suck the finger?

It's his backstory. He used to collect fingers from people he killed.

Or maybe he just likes the taste of generator oil.
  • That's because you make the mistake of trying.

Just sit next to the person on the hook and kick back, read a book or something like most killers do. Then try to mop up the rest with NOED.

This strategy seems to be all the rage these days. Doesn't look very stressful.

If the killer camps, you gen rush. It's pretty easy. But people still like to cry about camping as if it some "easy mode" killers have.

And if you got caught, well you got caught. Deal with it. And if I get gen rushed while camping, then that is on me.

Man, people just complain about everything these days.."Games too hard, killer camped, I need a new diaper!!"

     Jeez. Play the game.
Roff typical killer. You all cry about gen rushing,  survivors being too strong, borrowed time, losing points for camping etc etc but when it comes to your own crappy habits it's just "deal with it".

Survivor mains can be salty as hell but killer mains are entitled little babies most of the time.

  • Leatherface, it's by far the most brutal.

Also the Clown. It goes on a bit too long but there's something satisfying about watching him headstomp the teabagging Claudette who hit you with Decisive :)

Be patient... People need to know about the changes 1st. Take a day or two and queues might get back to normal as usual.
Yeah this. Just give it time. It might sort itself out over the weekend.
  • Yeah just saw it in game now. Thanks a lot!! Hopefully the game does back to normal now in terms of queue times :)
