    23 full days since they announced it was in certification. That's a long wait.

    I'm not sure how everybody is getting their timelines but the first post I personally made about consoles not getting the release on time was the morning of the 8th of June.

    So it's been 26 days since it was turned in for cert to Microsoft/Sony and they announced that the 12th would be PC's release. Or 17 business days. 

    Also, I remember them saying "in the next couple weeks" which taken literally means two not three but the phrase is often used flippantly to imply "later on" not really as an indicator of an actual timeline.

    SO yes it's been a really really long time coming for this patch. But I dont really think anyone can say they missed deadline. They have never given a date so how could it be past due?

    So compensation or any talk like that is just silly. BVHR owes us nothing! They've made one of my favorite games ever and I feel like I owe them, so if it's my patience and understanding they want? They got it :)

    Also I'll be taking that patch as soon as you can get it to me! Please and thank you X-D 
    They never gave a date and on their twitter they said “upcoming weeks” for this exact reason but on the anniversary dev stream we were told it should take  2,3 weeks at most so that’s the time frame people were going by. You can tell they didn’t even think it would take this long because they gave the shrine return date way in advance and gave the date for the double bp event in advance. I personally haven’t played this since the ptb ended so it can come whenever for me. My question for you is why do you feel like you owe them? You’re not the only one who feels this way so I’m not trying to single you out or anything, I’m just curious because yes they made the game but you paid for the game and the dlc’s that you wanted so to me that’s a fair trade.

    The thing that's annoying is that they can release the patch right now but they rather wait for the DLCs to hit the store.

    Yup, it has been 3 weeks and one day since PC release.

    Tbh I think it’s a good thing it hasn’t dropped because say it dropped yesterday the bp event for us would be crap

    I've never once blamed BHVR for the update taking awhile, nor have I messaged them on Twitter or when they stream! I've just seen a lot of trolling for the update so I took matters into my own hands and messaged PSN support. I figured everyone else who is a dedicated PS4 player as I am would enjoy the response I received.

    You have people tweeting ######### at the devs, harassing them in their personal streams, calling for free stuff because sony messed up. Constantly nagging Sony & MS support. Making dozens of threads a day.

    It has to stop, it's not their fault console cert is scrutinized so thoroughly, especially when adding microtransactions.

    This comment changes nothing. It happened you dealt with it and it will happen again if this situation arises another time.

    I'm PS4 too and it makes sense for them now, but with new generations looming around the corner in a couple years it is not a good look to be the only one not supporting cross-play.

    That’s years it’s not like they aren’t going to change with the times. People give them a lot of crap but they are smart and will change when needed to get that money

    BHVR is a full marketing company, that is going for the most cost effective situation : low efforts, high rewards. People being "midly happy but still sticking around" is the way marketing works. That's even how most ISP do work. They do not want people to be "truly happy with the service", they want people to be "just happy enough so they don't leave, and they don't have to pay an extra cost".
    (Btw, if you ever get a survey from your ISP, always answer you're rather unhappy, or they may slightly restrict your lines over the time for you to be "too happy about your service", it has been happening too much time to count.)

    See this is why I say to stop giving gaming companies your money if want something to actually change but most people either don’t care or can’t help themselves so things stay the way they are because these companies have no incentive to change anything

    No they didn’t give a date but what they did say is 2, 3 weeks at most. Which implies that it shouldn’t even take 3 weeks. Hell they even announced a date(which was the 29th) for the shrine because they didn’t expect it to take this long and I guarantee you the shrine date they said  was past the time they actually thought it would release. So after 3 weeks it’s late. What they told us was a release window and once we’re past that window the patch is late. Also civilization isn’t on console
