You should really train more. Victor's hitbox is HUGE and it leads to very weird hits on survivors' perspective.

I seriously have a huge amount of matches where I only just miss the survivor and fly past their ears.

It’s infuriating. Survivor zig zags or spins, killer has no power.

  • I mean it doesn’t hurt the gameplay experience or cause any confusion. All that matters are the gens with auras that didn’t turn white.

It's a bug with them, and I think on a few other killers, but that may be wrong. It's 100% a bug with the Twins though. Let's just hope it get's fixed in the hotfix.

That hotfix is going to be gigantic (hopefully)

    100GB 🤣

  • I genuinely miss old Freddy, and I would love to be able to play as him again. Was one of my favourite, most used killers, and I was damn good with him too.

  • Absolutely. That’ll count extra towards my free 10th visit loyalty card.

I was simply elaborating on my thoughts related to the topic. You, on the other hand, decided to attack another poster.

Maybe turn that mirror around on yourself.

I wasn’t attacking. I wasn’t using slurs or profanity. I will agree I was blunt in pointing out the fact that it wasn’t a relevant thing to bring to the conversation. “What-about-ism” rarely garners a positive response.

Well against nurse the best thing you can do is using object in a open map.

since we have "aim assist" nurse hits mostly the objects instead of the survivor (doesnt happen all the time)

try to double back and always look at her hand (direction where she aims) and listen how long she holds her blink the longer she holds the farther/further (my english is not my first language sorry) she can blink. to understand nurse from the survivor perspective its better to actually play her.

Double back rarely works anymore. Most Nurses I’m up against seemingly have the ability to stop mid blink at exactly where I am, no matter how unpredictably I try and run.

Have you considered the fact that pallets are actually completely unfair for killers? I mean, I never expect survivors to understand the plight of the common killer, but a completely empty map (though still survivor-sided) is the closest thing we'll ever get to a fair map. And don't even get me started on swf

This is a completely irrelevant response, that has next to nothing to do with the post.

You want to talk about pallets being unfair to killers, start another post.

Someone once came into my stream (yesterday btw) because they were salty that they died with 8k points. Called me gay and said I was using the "gayest killer". I'm like "Yeah, I am" at which point the homophobia spews forwards. "Burn the gays" was repeated several times before they were banned.

Then they made an alt. And another. And another. Banned each time ofc.

This is the first time it's gotten so... extreme but I wish I could say this was the first time it's happened lol. I ain't noticed a particular rise but that may be because I don't give people the chance to lmao.

    It’s crazy isn’t it.

Bewildering what people in a fit of passionate frustration believe other people should be killed for.

I haven’t run Decisive consistently since the Silent Hill chapter at red ranks and I haven’t missed it.

Decisive only really gets used most of the time at this point when you’re playing reckless and trying to force it. And once that becomes your default playstyle, you mistakenly think the perk is a necessity. Kind of like Killers with Shadowborn/BBQ addiction. Or Survivors with exhaustion perk reliance.

Also, Blood Pact is lowkey my favorite perk in the game and I run it all the time. So no, I don’t have games where there’s no Obsession; the Killer always has to respect Decisive even if no one is running it. The threat of Decisive and the way it effects the Killer has to play around it is honestly more useful than the actually running DS in most cases.

I never use it, period. And I do just fine.

four iris to do it at rank 1. it ######### hurt but im so happy.

claudie dced to give someone hatch. she did not get the hatch.

In the match I finally got the Adept I also learned something cool about the Twins and a common survivor strategy: it’s actual a terrible idea for the survivors to 99 the gates against the twins when they have no idea where Victor has been left.

The survivors did an endgame hook save in Charlottes face, but I left Victor near a gate I absolutely knew was the one they’re heading towards because of the lights. They were all injured the remaining 3, and so I was able to cut them off and down them in succession, 2 of them as they attempt the switch.

So instead of just SOME managing to escape if the gate had been already opened, they effectively sealed their demise by doing the usual strategy.

  • It also took me a long time as well, but I’m glad because it helped me gain appreciation for the new perks.

Well done. I achieved the Adept yesterday.

Shocked me because I was reading the bugs made it impossible.

  • @AggressiveFTW said:

I mean it would only make sense to have that ability. It could also create some interesting plays. For example, it could be used for being able to heal the downed survivor in safety, or for a pallet save.

And please don't say that it would be abused in SWF (pallet saving), because you can just check the area and check if there is any survivor waiting to pallet save.

The dragging speed would be faster than crawling.

If speed in the dying state is an issue for a player, they can use Tenacity

I wanted to use it on Nurse because extended blink lunge attacks sound orgasmic but with how often you lunge with her power anyway and it only activates 5 times uncontrollably (even paired with Tinkerer for a general idea on when it will get a token) I figure I'll either waste the lunges or they won't help me in any way.

Sad because it's a really cool idea but too balanced to be of any use.

It’s definitely a scary perk on Clown.

I'm jealous!! I went from rank 18 to 13 in two days with them, and I haven't even learned how to use Victor yet! I'm excited to try out hoarder when it gets fixed, but so far I have found my new fav character in the series. Twins and Meg are very close to my heart, one for being a speedy gal, another for being a rough and tumble gremlin booby gal <3

Yeah I love Twins too. Even in bad matches, I’ve usually still had a lot of fun.

I’m proud of getting the adept as well. I literally earned it for the fourth time before getting it because of the emblem kills bugging.

Congrats and welcome to the club. It took me five attempts to get it. They kept kicking my poor Victor!!!!!

Victor getting crushed used to tilt me, but he re spawns so fast I don’t stress out as much about that anymore.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

I tried playing as the twins for the first time today. Going to wait for the hotfix before i play them further.

Having Victor get stuck multiple times each match is making the already hard learning process pretty unfun

That has been pretty frustrating. I just switch back to Charlotte and hope a survivor finds and crushes him.

That’s of course when it doesn’t further bug out by preventing me from switching back to Charlotte.

  • @Mister_xD said:

    congrats!

personally im not much of an achievement hunter myself, though i am well aquainted with how ridiculously hard Killer adepts are.

the fact that you got that o a new killer, highly buggy killer with perks that too are bugged right now is quite impressive.

Thank you. I feel pretty proud.

  • @Angelicus23 said:

Not even half of the playerbase passed level 10 on any character, the numbers have no value

    How though?

Trophy/achievement percentages are based off of the know total player base count. It doesn’t matter whether those are players that played 1000’s of hours, or less than 1 hour. Of that total player count (at this stage) only 0.2% of the player base have acquired the Adept Twins trophy.

  • @Aneurysm said:

You won't find it so great when survivors start hard countering it by not doing gens

I just spat my drink 🤣

Makes me think of a match yesterday in my Adept Twins attempts were I snowballed so hard at the beginning of the match that I 4K without the survivors getting any repairs done.

So I got no use at all out of CDG that match, and also didn’t get the Adept because, well... I killed them too hard.

  • Here are my thoughts on it that I put in another post.

    Coup De Gráce:

Here’s the real surprise: Coup De Gráce is a WAY more better perk than I expected, especially with the surprising reduction on distance despite its already restrictive conditions, provided this perk is used thoughtfully. I get the feeling a lot of the killer community put a lot of stock into gen slow down with little regard into things that can help end chases as fast as possible. Coup De Gráce is a wonderful example of how when considered, intelligent thought is put into how to get the most value out of a perk, it gives a really big pay off. Firstly, it really forced me to be way more attentive of being conservative of when I lunge. Secondly, it also got me to focus on ensuring I only lunge at INJURED survivors. With these 2 factors in mind, in circumstances where I would identify its 100% appropriate to lunge, such as a survivor about to take a vault, or I had successfully baited out a dead hard, Coup De Gráce 100% guaranteed a down. Every time, no question. For any killer that relies on their basic weapon being unquestionably, guaranteed a down up to 5 times per match at loops that would otherwise be 50/50 whether a lunge misses or not is nothing to be laughed at.

  • @MrDardon said:

I don't even go for the Adepts, they're just not worth my time. I tried some, got some but stopped at some point.

They’re definitely hard work. Harder with some killers than others. But despite a lot of the frustration that comes with going for an Adept, it definitely teaches me a lot, particularly when it comes to having a deeper look at the perks, and thinking more broadly or abstractly about those perks. A lot of perks are nowhere as bad as many perceive them to be, learning this after I have forced myself to spend extensive periods of time using them.

I.e. getting the Adept is only part of my objective. Another big factor for me is getting into the nuance of new perks.

  • @MadLordJack said:

Wait, how did you even manage that? I thought their emblems were all over the place?

Also, well done, they are not the easiest of killers to do well with.

Also also, I am one of those survivors you would catch in the basement with Hoarder. 100%. I literally just had a game against an Oni where I stealthed into the basement while injured and looted a medkit while he was right above me.

Thank you, and yep it’s what I read, that the emblems were messed up, making Adept not possible, but here it is.

Increase the % buff for the first few gens, but lower the % buff on the last few gens. for example:

    • First gen completed = +7.5% action speeds
    • Second gen completed = + 5% action speeds.
    • Third gen completed = + 3.5% action speeds.
    • Fourth gen completed = +2.5% action speeds.
    • Fifth gen completed = +1.5% action speeds.

Also make it work on hooking and kicking breakable walls.

It does work on those two things. Whether kicking a gen, pallet, or breakable wall, Fire Up speeds that up.

It also increases the hooking speed.

  • @AhoyWolf said:

Well, 95% of the perk doesn't work, the notification works tho, it only doesn't work in the basement.

I swear I am not making this up, I’ve caught out survivors in the basement because of the notification hoarder gives when they start searching the basement chest. I’ve seriously lost count because of how frequently many matches have that one survivor that wants to get their grubby mitts on it.

  • @TrapperClaus said:

I LOVE this perk, purely for the surprise factor. I think this is going to be the kind of info perk that survivors are going to very rarely anticipate or figure out that this perk is being used for quite a long time. Almost always when it procs and I act upon it, that survivor is usually in an unprepared, compromised position. This perk is at its most beautiful when it gives away a survivor in the basement. This used to be the one reason I used to use Territorial Imperative, but comparatively Hoarder gives me my intended outcome more reliably. One successful hook in the basement is enough for me to confidently say I got value out Hoarder (even though I get more value out of it than that). Be brutally honest, even without camping the basement, a hook down there dramatically pushes the match in the killers favour. Hoarder helps me “engineer” that.

    Hoarder doesn't work....

It’s working a TONNE for me. I know it’s buggy and sometimes doesn’t work. But I havent had a match where I don’t get a chest notification or item pick up notification.

  • I didn’t say it was great, just that in this instance it’s not entirely useless

  • @HollowsGrief said:

If they want this perk to be solid they need to remove the gen nonsense from it and just make it give you an enhanced lunge on a timer of sorts, maybe 60s you get one enhanced lunge then it goes on CD or something. Numbers can be tweaked but it's current form is junk

But again though, you’ll never convince someone of that when they’re getting successful results from it.

It’s like telling the wealthy, successful ceo of a cleaning business that they’ll never get anywhere in life in the cleaning industry.

It’s more appropriate to simply point out that you yourself think it’s bad, or that you personally haven’t gotten any value out of it after experimenting with it, rather than a blanket “it’s trash”

  • In regards to OP post, for comparison, know you know exactly how I feel about Blood Favour.

It sounds meh on paper, but in practice it works beautifully in shortening chases. I’m still toying with CDG, but I’m getting some value out of it.

  • @HollowsGrief said:

This perk isn't good, it's total trash in fact. You waste an entire perk slot for at BEST 5 enhanced lunges for the entire game, hit or otherwise. Sorry dude but this perk isn't good it's meme tier trash.

Why?! Why do forum members seem set on some crusade to convince others of something that indeed works successfully for them that it’s bad?!

The perk isn’t outright trash. You just personally think it’s trash.

There’s not a chance in hell you’re going to convince somebody something is trash when the person you’re telling that to is getting a great result, so why waste the effort?

One of my favourite perks is Coulrophobia, and i’m told all the time how “bad” that is too. But I get such a great result from the perk, and so many successful matches that telling me how “bad” it is is a waste of breath.

  • Clunky, yes. Does it work? Yes.

  • @Demogordon_Ramsay said:

Aside from the fact that it only triggers when a Survivor removes Victor and forces him to regen on Charlotte who could be literally anywhere else.

But when Victor is next unleashed, if that survivor isn’t yet healed, the add on then has some use.

Is it fantastic? Hell no. I’m just pointing out that it’s the one Haemorrhage add on that actually has some sort of minor useful synergy.

  • @OniWantsYourMacaroni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1797778#Comment_1797778

I suppose victor should just die if a survivor gets hooked too close to him

    That’s a better idea actually

  • Yes you can work on other gens. Just repeatedly let go after 2 seconds.

  • I also agree that Victor at the hook is an issue. They need to remove the switch prompt if Victor is too close to a hooked survivor, and remove the “hook” prompt if Charlotte is carrying to a hook that they’ve left Victor near.

  • Correct. It’s not time efficient for Charlotte to have Victor go to the other side of the map. Lesson? Don’t take Victor so far away from Charlotte.

  • @Elena said:

O.O Victor can't detect survivors who are still or crouch-walking? This is new.

  • @AhoyWolf said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1797349#Comment_1797349

Exactly, movement speed perks are very strong and have the power to make the game very unbalanced, even if it is 1%, that's why there are only like 3 of them with strict restrictions.

Another way of looking at it is 1% per token would mean at 3 or 4 tokens a killer is pretty close to having BL tier 1 permanently. That would be pretty broken.

  • @Xyvielia said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1797355#Comment_1797355

    Yeah, sounds about right.

Figured it’d work similar to getting chainsawed on Styptic or BT.

Was curious as to wether or not Victor stays attached and must still be removed. I’m presuming he does.

Still love to see a clip of it or sth, since I never do KYF an I’ll probs run out of Styptic before I ever get to personally test it.

He’d have to be removed as when he latches onto a healthy survivor, he applies Broken and Incapacitated.

  • @Chilli_man2400 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1797321#Comment_1797321

I don’t think so cause you would have to sacrifice the game just to get the speed boost plus Noed would just force the survivors to leave and not get any kills.

This was from the devs themselves.

Even If Fire Up was used just on its own, a permanent movement speed increase of 1% per token is just too strong.

There’s a very very good reason perks like PWYF have very strict conditions on their movement speed increase, and how easily it can be lost.

  • @Chilli_man2400 said:

They should add more effects to it like successful attack cooldown and missed cooldown to the effects of gaining tokens and it should increase Movement speed by 1% for each token.

This has been discussed before. 1% per token to movement speed would be too strong, especially if stacked with PWYF, NOED, Devour Hope, or just simple Bloodlust.

If it were to affect movement speed it would need to be something like 0.2% or 0.3% per token.

  • @TAG said:

Yellow Mori sucks. That said, I will occasionally equip it because sometimes you can't avoid picking one up in the bloodweb.

They’re not amazing, but they’re abundant, and if I don’t want to burn off any green, purple, or iridescent offerings I’ll chuck one on. Funny when the conditions are met though. I think over 3 years there has been only twice total I’ve managed to use it on a survivor that I’d never actually hooked once before they were the last in the match.

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

It is funny how people will jump to conclusions. When it's only a yellow mori or green key.

Oh man you are too right.

When i’m Survivor I like to sometimes use a green key with unique wedding ring, but it’s so risky because I might get hard tunnelled because of the killer being terrified of it being purple or red.

  • @houie said:

I'm late to the party, but Victor does not trigger Spine Chill. I tested this in a public match on the official build. Sometimes you will see Spine Chill light up but it's because Charlotte (in her dormant state) so happens to be close enough and looking your direction, but if it's only Victor it won't light up.

All good. We’ve got this figured out now.

Never again am I agreeing to farming.

Blame that 1 killer who ruined it for everyone.

Yeah it’s super crappy when a killer does this. Very uncool.

I’ll only hook survivors in farm games that make it abundantly clear they’re happy to be hooked by either tea bagging under a hook or pointing at a hook.

  • @keygun said:

    Just don't farm?

Most players want the chase, the adrenaline.

Farming is boring and not how the game is meant to be played.

It sounds like the survivors aren't going to farm and with good reason. It ruins the match.

As killer, I'd rather run around aimless than farm.

As survivor I'd rather die on hook.

Give me a real game, or go play a farming simulator.

    No offence.

It depends how the farming is done though.

In farm games where survivors are participating, I also put in a lot of effort to be as silly, funny, and entertaining as possible in the hope everyone gets lots of points AND some laughs.
