@d0rian would be interesting if it could be saved as a file that could be downloaded.. then reloaded into the game through a replay function.
That way tournaments, contests.. etc. could be saved and people could review the games on their local machines from different perspectives.

@PolarBear oh you'd be surprised what survivors will try to pull off.
I let a ming and claud crawl to an open exit gate... I picked up the ming and dragged her way way back and dropped her... The claud could have left, she was at the edge of escaping out of the gate, crawling... but she stayed. i walked back and picked up claud.. and let her wiggle out in the exit area of the gate.. and she ran back into the map to get ming...
I ended up letting Ming go while I followed the claud around and stopped her from getting out...
Needless to say... Survivors will do the weirdest things if they think they can one up you.

haha... Sweet... The killer should get an extra reward for that... Like little rabbit stamps on their profile or next to their name.
You do know about the Challenge right? The one where you try to feed the Entity?

I'm probably gonna play the survivor side of the PTB. Not interested in sitting in 20 min queues to try him out.

I think some of them will stay the same... like the dream transitions, just greater numbers... and the skill check ones.
I'm hoping a few of the crappy brown add ons get reworked and become more powerful, like what happened with The Wraith.
I've been dumping most of my points into him hoping that will be the case.
He'll probably get ones to increase the teleport range... maybe one where people can't see him appear as he gets closer, or the range gets smaller.
Should be interesting.

Wow... You've taken the forum whining to a whole new level here.
You know what everyone else does, that wants to play this game?
They play the game. Be like everyone else and learn to accept it, cause it ain't going anywhere.
In fact if you watched the anniversary stream, they are making it allot easier for people to party up and stay together in their groups.
Anyways.. have fun... or at least learn to have fun. SWF really isn't the end of the world in this game, accept the challenge otherwise you'll just end up hating this game cause it will never be what you want.

Oh I see what this is about now... The OP made a post why they haven't gotten any good perks on their Billy after getting them to P3-50... still doesn't have ruin.
Sorry you aren't the only one who has experienced this.. the grind is getting pretty brutal.

Is Freddy losing the aura reading when survivors are in the Dream World?

What is the issue with the BattlePass?
You upset cause you won't be able to get some of the cosmetics from it?
That is all the paid track is giving you.. a few more cosmetics.

Take whatever perks you want and play how you want.
Playing legitimately? As long as you aren't breaking the rules of the game then you are playing legitimately.

I'm more excited for the Freddy rework than The Ghost myself.
Sounds like the PTB will only be The Ghost though which sucks... was hoping to see them both in there.

They hinted that skill checks will be hard to come by... so those addons for Freddy about seeing less skill checks will help.
Plus survivors will fall asleep passively. So after a minute or so.. if you can still see the auras when they are in the dream world.. means hes gonna see everyone shortly after the match starts.
Wonder when he uses generators to teleport if they have to be non repaired ones. So survivors can lessen the impact of his teleports by rushing gens.

@Blueberry I'm getting the impression being asleep will be like having an RBT on you in that you can go work on gens but slowly.. or get yourself waken up by running around everywhere. They hinted at skill checks being difficult to come by when playing against freddy.

My theory is... He's been one of the biggest punchlines in this game since his release... so they will do the opposite and put him right up there with Billy and Nurse.
I wouldn't be surprised he is over the top when he gets tested on the PTB.
I've been dumping all my points into him.. in the hopes we get something like the wraith. Where some of his addons were redone and some 3K addons where upgraded.
I'm hoping those stacks of 60 brown crap items I have all off a sudden become ultra rare.

Gen Tapping promotes bad game play by newer players.
The reason why some survivors will stare at you on the gen when you are tapping, is because they judging your ability.. or lack of ability. It is a sign of a new player.
If it is a more seasoned player.. players will be wondering if you are meme'ing or not...
Either way they are thinking.. "Oh no... This match isn't gonna go good."
Gen Tapping is the sign of garbage players.

MLGA is moot anyways.. once Dedicated Servers come out it won't work anymore.
OP will just need to be more aware of who comes into their lobbies.

I was thinking about this last night about why the date was taken out.. I still think it was because it was wrong.. and the whole is it going on PTB.... but we forget... this will also have the Freddy rework.
Wonder if it will goto PTB and the PTB will have both Ghostface and the new Freddy on it.
That might happen.

@Razvan You'll only have it during the free days.. once it gets removed from your steam games list when the free days are over, you'll lose the masks.
That happened the last time when they released the first version of it.

we will have to see... IMO, the only reason not_queen would have removed the date was if it was incorrect... since the date was already put out, the damage is done. It doesn't just go away since a huge portion of people seen it.
... If they were putting it into a PTB then it will be well over a month away then.... They put in the PTB.. there is one week.. then 2 weeks of them getting it ready. The timing wouldn't line up if they announce a PTB on a Friday... for a release on the 18th.
We'd basically have to be playing on the PTB this week if that was the case.
but the Devs do want to surprise people so we'll see.

tbh... I don't think that was the date.. seems odd to come out with a reveal and then make people wait another 18 days.. but I could be wrong there..
I was surprised when I seen that 18th date.
How long did it take from them revealing Ash to when it came out?

@legion_main It was listed on the news section on the last update Peanits did as June 18h... then not_queen removed it around 11 am.

two things I dont understand about the trailer...
1. So this employee is using a hand scanner when there is a commercial retail scanner at his till right in front of him...
So why is he using the hand scanner?.....mmmmm
2. When the employee grabs the knife package it is covered in blood.. yet when Ghost Face waves to the employee... there is no blood on the gloves?.. How did the blood get all over the open package?

Doesn't matter if they disconnected 20 times... if they played 100 matches during that time their threshold only made 20%.. and from what I've heard that is under the threshold for being banned.
I'm not saying don't play what you want.. do whatever you want to do.. I was pointing out that there isn't a harsh punishment so if you are going to play Nurse... and not expect people to DC?... Yet you choose Nurse?... Cause they have the highest rate being DC'd against.
What are you expecting from your results, since you went out of your way to produce those results.
It would be another thing, if you choose Wraith... and had the same results. Cause those results wouldn't be what you'd be expecting.

All you did is prove people rage quit, which pretty much everyone already knows. Everyone also knows there isn't a harsh punishment for it right now, so playing in a killer you know has a high rate of people rage quitting seems a bit dishonest in what you are proving.
Then to make a bridge between censorship and banning / disconnecting.... like the Devs are going out of their way to silence people, is odd. The Devs don't talk about people's bans on the forums, this has always been the case.

Who cares if you get a tryhard group of SWF.
You don't always have to play the same way... Just saying.
Unorthodox methods might yield surprising results. Experiment with those groups and have some fun doing it.. who the bleep cares if you win or lose... seriously.

That doesn't reflect the community as what causes people to DC in their match, which could vary differently from one player to the next.
You have no proof people aren't being banned.
You have no evidence that people are being "silenced".

Cause there isn't much of a punishment, and responses from the Devs have stated this isn't the ideal solution and there is another one coming down with Dedicated Servers.
That doesn't mean people aren't being banned for "rage quitting".
Remember... Crashes don't count as a DCs or Rage Quitting. Can you make your game crash?.. I think there are some who can.

With that said, since the punishment isn't that harsh atm, and you go out of your way to cause people to rage quit... What are you expecting?
I don't think anyone has said rage quits / DCs don't exist. Assuming people aren't being punished for it, is only your view point, which contradicts what the developer says.
This whole thing could just as easily be made up 4 months down the road when dedicated servers come in... and you run your experiment with roughly the same results. Since the Devs will not come out to state SO and SO have been banned for disconnecting. So you'll have no proof of that either, when it begins.
What did you accomplish?

I'm getting the impression they only got the license for the mask.. not for anything else.
That is why we see The Ghost with cosmetics that aren't in the movies.

This is why I'm leaning to the .... this will be a gift to the community and the license holder is going to take in a bigger cut on the cosmetics that are sold instead.
Only those who buy The Ghost can buy cosmetics for it.. but if you give it to the whole community then you've now opened the door for everyone to buy cosmetics. Might be more money in sales if everyone has access to it.
Just an idea in my head.. I don't think that is true.. but nothing wrong with wishing on a shooting star.

There are many strategies in this game you can play... who the crap says you have to play the same way as everyone else?
It is like a killer who baits survivors into farming then hoses them all....
If someone is going to get upset about being baited and killed for it... Too bad soo sad.
People shouldn't be expected to play YOUR way... they should play how they wish as long as they aren't breaking the rules of DBD.

It is the 3rd anniversary....
There is all of a sudden licensed cosmetics... which started with Ash (sort of)...
but what if....
The Ghost will be a gift to the community...
Could be an experiment on if you gave out the base licensed killer for free... but had free rain to make allot of paid cosmetic for it.... Would there be the possibility that the amount of sales on the cosmetics over the whole community be worth more that the select few who pay for the licensed killer? Cause only those who buy the killer can buy the cosmetics.
