  • So far in this event,it hasn’t mattered what build I have on any killer I play. It’s been straight up gen rushing. After a game with Slinger of all killers I got a message saying “how’s that gen rush feel?!!ggg dork”Survivors make everything miserable.

oh here is the regular I will counter your arguments with my arguments about the other side

adrenaline - the survivors have to finish the gens to do even get value from this 1 time use perk and it still does not guarantee it will achieve anything unless you can coordinate some cool adrenaline play - which you cannot in solo q

unbreakable - are you serious? It's the killer's mistake he slugged someone, the killer made a risky choice, and if there's unbreakable in play

    it's on them

    dead hard - nerfed

    old ds - nerfed

off the record - nerfed, does not work end game

bnps and syringe are powerful yes but not in the same extent eruption is, unless you once again have 4 man team with 4 bnps which you won't have in your average solo q match

yes because I am able to control if 3 gen happens or no in solo :) and if the killer has gen-kicking perks there are high chances that at the point of the match where we are at 1 gen or 2 gens left all gens have been kicked :)

I personally have nothing against old killer meta with ruin undying as they are easily countered, even pr/dms has a counter when you are on your own, but Eurption is overtuned far more than those older killer meta perks

So you want all killer perks easily countered?I want all survivor perks easily countered!

  • I think the micro hacks are a big problem for both sides.Had a ghostface insta stalking looking right at him and his stalk keeps going, then had survivors that you just quite couldn’t catch even in bl3 running in a straight line.Insta heals are there too.Game is hacker paradise.

  • Well first game as survivor today,1 gen done nobody down, first down dc,another dc on first hook with 3 gens done.Survivors are worthless entitled crap.Heck with playing survivor, atleast as killer I know there is just one of me and I’m not quitting.

  • I’m glad most of these survivors are not military, quit as soon as things don’t go their way or get the least little bit hard. They are selfish and entitled snd don’t care about the other players one bit.

  • I think it’s a fun part of the game.

  • Gens are flying by way faster than ever! It’s getting to the point where it’s depiping every other match.Killers just can not keep enough pressure.

  • If Gen regression perks are taken, then bnp and purple toolboxes and hyper focus should be gotten rid of.

  • @bm33 said:

Whenever I see the killer incentive it's only there for an hour at most, usually it's gone by the time I finally find a match and complete it. The waits are always longer than survivor side too.

It feels like they just randomly throw on the killer incentive for short intervals so it's not always on survivor. 😂

    This!

Just finished a match against a SWF. Was going pretty good and managed to get a 3k. Went to the TTV's stream to say hi and gg's. Before I could even begin typing I heard all sorts of crude language from the whole group centered around how I was a toxic killer for X, Y and Z. Needless to say, I left, but it got me thinking...I know everyone isn't like this, but is this the general consensus among people when they lose at this game? Do I need to not hook survivors quickly? Do I need to allow someone to loop me a bunch before I down them? Isn't the objective to win?

I need to know so that I can be a kind killer.

How the heck are you supposed to be a kind killer?!!!Play the game and kill the stupid survivors!!

Hey, that is fine. I never said that all players should play like I do. Everyone is different and everyone has differnet goals or ideas of fun or what a win is.

I just tried to explain why we are facing so different survivors. It´s a MMR thing, I guess. The higher, the more swf and sweatlords.

Sorry that came out more harsh to you than I meant it.

  • @IWantCandys said:

I can not confirm. Mr nice guy is my favorite playstyle. I only kill when I have a challenge. I don't farm, I play seriously, go for 8 hooks and then let everyone go. For me, winning doesn´t mean kills, pips and going to red ranks, for me winning means when all 5 players are having fun.

At the end I get a lot of BP, shards and fragments and the survivors too and everyone is happy. The survivors are always grateful and the endgame chats are always wholesome.

But maybe that's the difference. I ONLY play like this.

Maybe you've had too much 4K in the past, and are now in an MMR with more sweatlords around.

That´s why I've never been interested in getting into higher MMR as a killer because I don't want to face those sweatlords whose sole purpose is to annoy the killer player.

Well I’d say a majority of KILLERS feel the goal of the Killer role is to kill the survivors. And there are no innocent survivors.

  • I slugged 4 out just to make myself feel like a killer again!😁

  • @Marik1987 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/354732/playing-nice

But u have to play like the Survivor-Rulebook told you. Dont ruin the fun of survivors while playing effective. How dare u trying to kill them as the killer... 🤣

    What was I thinking?!!

  • Playing nice as killer gets you a 0k and a depip. No thank you.

  • Just play the game the way the game is meant to be played,go all out and kill the survivors. They don’t care about you, they despise the fact that they even have to face a killer. The heck if I’m going to be nice.Being nice as killer is asking to be stomped on.

  • @nora_the_explora said:

God forbid people playing this game and trying to have fun using and bringing what they like.

toxic survivors they must be destroyed!!!

Why should survivors get to choose the map?Killers pay for game too.Bring ward you say,why should I have to waste my offerings on that when I can use bp offerings? My magic glitch always saves me from map offerings.

  • @Bot_Salvo88 said:

That requires to download a patch in order to get it fixed. It's not something that gets fixed from a day to another. Be patient! It's been acknowledged so it will get fixed soon™

It’s been going on almost a month. It doesn’t affect survivors so I guess it doesn’t matter.

  • @MeanieDeeny said:

Why can’t you throw random hatchets tho?

I don’t know why I can’t throw random hatchets but they didn’t like that I was throwing hatchets as huntress.

  • It’s the devout emblem bug! These keep coming up and the answer is the same.BHVR needs to fix it!

  • A Gen can already go in 45 seconds if running Gen build, that’s not fast enough for you?How bout survivors just tap gens to complete them?Guess that would be “Fair” right?

  • @Bot_Salvo88 said:

I was playing Wraith for a daily challenge and I found a very spicy group of survivors that were planning to do some sabo plays. They all had boil over, flip flop, unbreakable and breakout and sabo toolboxes. 1 was always on gens and 3 of them were all around me.

The map was ironworks of misery. One survivor went on the top floor of the main building (where there are lockers and a window with a breakable wall) and I downed him to try to hook him. The closest hooks I had where outside (so I had to drop from a height) or the basement. Useless to say, I never made it to a hook and the same survivor always went up there knowing he couldn't get hooked. Since that for my challenge I needed to sacrifice someone as Wraith and the End Game collapse begun, I blocked upstairs this survivor who kept going there over and over knowing I couldn't make it to a hook. He died in that corner so I got my sacrifice for my daily.

Who is to blame here? He really loved that corner so I made sure that he died right there on top of that damn main building :)

But it also feels like a very dirty strategy that shouldn't be promoted but it's necessary since there's no counter to sabo plays other than slugging (which is not a counter, it's ignoring the problem where the killer can't make it to a hook).

No it wasn’t dirty, they chose to play in a way that forces you to play a certain way. They were exploiting lack of hooks in area with boil over, you had a goal, you accomplished it.Good for you!

  • Do not want survivors dictating which maps I play on.Don’t want to have to waste offerings on blocking maps.Would rather use bp offering. So the magic glitch when map offerings shows up is always a nice thing.

  • You go after whoever you see fit to go after.Do not let survivors tell you how to play as killer. If you listen to them you will be gettin 0k every time. The point of the game for killers is to kill survivors. You do that in the most efficient way you can and the heck with what they think. They definitely aren’t looking to make things easy on you and give you free kills.

  • Then make Gen times 120 seconds long and don’t have perks and items that cut them down to 45 seconds .

  • Again it’s been said, the devout emblem is broken. The game is only recognizing 3k even if you get a 4K.It’s affecting pip, challenges and bp.So until it’s fixed if you need 8 sacrifices in a challenge, your going to have to play atleast 3 games.

Funny you’re making remarks about crybabies when you actually took the time to come to the forums to cry about about crybabies.

He wasn’t crying about it he came up with a solution.Dc is hurting game for both sides. You probably dc if you don’t like the outfit of one of your fellow survivors.

  • The Garden of Misery is just a totally screwed up map,too big,too many things to get hung up on ,the green house is awful loop and I won’t even go in the house. Also any map survivors bring offering for.

  • @NMCKE said:

Why not reverse map offerings? Instead of guaranteeing a map, they take them out of the selection pool.

Don't like "The Game" map? Burn an offering and don't worry about it.

Also, have some basekit map selection improvements so you don't have to play the same map repeatedly.

    @Colton147147 said:

All maps have become killer-sided with its reworks.

So so instead of getting to use bp offerings I need to burn an offering just in case someone uses map offering?Nah. I’ll just keep getting those glitches and not have to worry about it.

  • @Seraphor said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3259862#Comment_3259862

Why is that boring? Whether someone played a map offering or not, you would have ended up on a map of some description.

What different does it make if you roll RPD at random or if someone uses up their offering slot to send you there?

Maybe they should just make map offerings hidden offerings to shut up the whiners.

I’ve said before my game always glitches when I see a map offering.Survivors don’t get to pick maps I play on.

  • @Killmaster said:

Three gen should be removed from the game, it's a holdover from the past, doesn't fit the game-play loop anymore and is too easily abused.

So to you, fair would be all gens spread to the corners of maps and so far apart that killers can’t defend them?

  • @kingcarl2012 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3259809#Comment_3259809

Not true if the killer is kicking and running regression perks especially in a 3 gen. Also much like survivors putting themselves into a 3 gen, killers create their own hook deadzones.

Not to even get into the fact that the only thing that survivors get out of a teammate being killed is 1 less hook on the map, while the killer gets a huge advantage.

If you get a Gen to 99,equivalent of picking up survivor ,and you let it regress all the way back to 0,equivalent of losing survivor because of no hook, that is completely on survivor.not even good comparison.gen regression takes way longer than the time a killer has to get a survivor to hook.

  • @kingcarl2012 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3259428#Comment_3259428

Ok after reading some of your replies, lets see how you feel about a parallel.

Hooks no longer break permanently, they temporarily break for 60 seconds after a survivor dies on them. This is a pretty fair representaion of a suggested solution for this situation.

When gens get completed they are blocked for 60 seconds and then are able to be completed again, starting from 0 charges. This would be the same thing for survivors forcing killers to essentially patrol 7 gens all match long and eliminating the issue of 3 gens, because why should survivors be punished for doing their objective?

That is the dumbest comparison I have seen.Survivors don’t have a certain amount of time to do a gen before they have to start all over like a killer carrying a survivor to a hook.Add in boil over or hook offerings and it can be almost impossible to get to a hook on quite a few maps.

  • @Marik1987 said:

Its a tactic which works. At the moment u need another survivor for the pickup while u chase another one. This means only 1 survivor is probably working on a gen, which is what killers want.

Without slugging sometimes, killers would have far less pressure in some games and gens would fly much faster than they already do.

The issue I see is the endgame slug while playing a 2v1 just to get the 4K. Thats unneccessary and a time waste in my opinion, a killers goal should always be a 3K. If survivor gets hatch or not is a bonus, nothing else.

Survivors goal should always be only 3 out.

  • @FreddyVoorhees said:

Just use the offering to deny any map offering. The green hand one. It is literaly made for such a purpose. Or use your own offering and hope you get lucky against theirs. Maps can be boring sometimes with some rotations. Sometimes I feel like I want to play on a certain map for fun. I do not wish to wait for weeks before it shows up so I just use an offering. I never really cared which map is balanced and which is not. I often won with the killer on very survivor sided maps.

Yeah when I could use a bp offering instead.Luckily for me my ps5 glitches every time a map offering shows up.

  • Any RPD is too much RPD.

What you call killers who dc? In higher mmr mostly killers dc in my matches. I understand it because it's hard but sometimes it's irritating if there is many cakes and there would been lot more bp to earn potentially.

Same thing but it doesn’t happen not even remotely close to as much as survivors dc.If you can’t handle playing the game, don’t load in.Simple as that.

  • @Biscuits said:

I used to play several hours of soloQ a day. I literally only play now when one of my friends wants to. SoloQ is just too frustrating, I feel like my entire experience falls in the hands of how sweaty the killer decides to play. Sure my teammates might be bad, but even if they were good we never really stood a chance against the 4 slowdown killer that is actively protecting a 3 gen.

If I had to list things to get me to like the game again.

    1. Buff soloQ, something that has 0 effect on SWFs. (Give people free information perks if they queue alone, or reduce gen times for each soloQ player in a lobby).
    2. Diminishing returns on gen regression. Whether it be a hard cap on how much a gen can be regressed, or taking away the ability to stack regression perks.
    3. A system to incentivize and reward killers for choosing not to tunnel/camp. Punishment alone will not stop people from tunneling and camping. You need to introduce a system that makes them stronger when they manage to hook all 4 survivors in a row. We know from peer reviewed psychology that incentives work and last much longer than punishment systems.

Taking away Gen regression when gens fly by is not going to make the killers want to play in a way that survivors are going to like.Funny how all the suggestions are nerfing killers.

  • @Colton147147 said:

Killers are not entitled to 4ks every game.

Survivors are not entitled to escape every game. And they are also not entitled to tell killers how to play.If killers want to camp ,tunnel or slug than that’s fine.If you chose to play with bm or toxicity don’t be surprised when it comes back to you….Why bother, survivors just dc at the drop of a hat anyway.

I mean the whole concept of "working for" something in a video game is so Stockholm syndrome from years of psychological conditioning there are always players who have done it the hard way moaning about it when others get an easier path. At the end of the day, game should be fun to play. Not a second or third job.

Could BHVR make more money potentially from game sales this way? I think so.

Then I guess hackers have the right idea. Why work to get better at the game and accomplish something the right way when you can just cheat and win.I mean the whole concept of accomplishing something on your own is going away anyway.I mean it’s just a game for fun right?

  • Ghostface,Trickster,Legion and Pig all getting shot coming through the door.Billy and Bubba might go down from enough .45 rounds. The rest are probably a little too supernaturally powered to take.

  • Survivors that dc are little entitled babies who have never been told no and things don’t always go your way.So if the game gets a little hard or they don’t like the killer,we then they cry and quit and screw every body else in the game over because they are a special little snowflake and they “deserve “ to win.Freaking stupid.Sad.

we all came to play. not to die quickly. the killer is in play throughout the match. the killer doesn't need to be strong enough to quickly take a survivor out of a match and gain an advantage. if the game prompts the killer to take the survivor out of the game quickly, the survivors will be dc. bhvr needs to change the balance of the game or make other modes.

You have never played killer. If you don’t think a killer needs quick hooks and deaths then it’s obvious.Try playing killer! When you get your first hook and the first two gens pop ,then come back and make that statement.

Nurse and Blight are the only two killers that are overtuned. All the rest of them are perfectly fine or even weak and survivors have every chance of doing well against them provided they don't just give up straight away. Yes, even after the global killer buffs and increased gen speeds most killers are balanced or outright weak.

I absolutely suck at survivor,I’m only playing for the bp bonus and to get better at killer.I have made silver in 3 days.Survivor is not hard and I am consistently getting the most bp in games I’m playing.I don’t dc,I don’t die on hook as fast as possible.I just play the game.if I get killed so be it,it’s part of the game.why dc and ruin the match for others?I have been tunneled and camped, didn’t quit.Maybe because I understand that killer isn’t as op as what other survivors are saying.quit loading in if you can’t handle playing the game.

You don't need a 4k. A 3k is a win. Slugging for the 4k is equally as stale, if not more so. Don't be a sore greedy winner. Hook the 3rd survivor and if you find hatch, great. If you don't, no biggie it was RNG.

The 4th person getting hatch is not a real issue that needs to be addressed. Your ego just can't handle less than a 4k apparently. You're free to slug for now. But that's YOU creating the stale gameplay, not the game. You hooking the 3rd survivor and this tense "who is gonna find hatch first?" is WAY less stale but no you'd rather guarantee the 4k. 20% of the time is really a you issue btw. You're faster and have no need to hide, it's WAY more likely the killer finds hatch first.

3 out is a win for survivors, stop bodyblocking and fighting to get that last survivor out.You don’t have to be a greedy winner.3 escape leave the 4th survivor.
