  • No I’m not a troll,I am to the point where reading the forum is a waste of time because that’s all that’s talked about. And you resorting to name calling and leaving conversation me as ms you have no counter to what I’m saying.

Then complain somewhere else. This is a balance discussion where tunneling and camping have to be addressed.

See you just proved my point!Every post gets turned into a camping and tunneling post.

It might be because it's a serious issue that spoils the game. Or that it's unfair and every killer playes like that. Or that the game has become super unfair recently and many survivor-mains felt they need to voice there opinion. Pick your choise

Oh Every Killer plays like that because you have played against every person who has ever played killer.Or maybe like I said before survivors definition of tunneling and camping are so broad that everything is considered camping and tunneling.

Wrong place to rant about that, bud, I'm talking about tactical implications of camping/tunneling, so misidentifying those doesn't play a part.

It seems every post by a survivor is about camping and tunneling, the discussion could be about what outfit do you like on Feng and the first survivor post will be about camping and tunneling. It’s brought up soo much in every post that it’s now irrelevant. It’s just a meaningless phrase.

  • Don’t rush the hook while the killer just hooked survivor, don’t let killer know your right there ready to pounce when he turns his back. It’s not camping if survivors play overly empathetic.Don’t get right back in the face of a killer just because you have bt off the hook,I guarantee I will hit through it and knock you again, that’s not tunneling. If all the other survivors are using all the stealth perks and never showing themselves,I will tunnel the crap out of the survivor I can find and I will sit at hook till the other survivors are brave enough to show themselves. The object of the game is for killer to kill survivors or survivors get out.Survivors can make up their little rule book about camping and tunneling and giving hatch ,whatever!I will do what I have to do to complete my objective!

That's a really warped take on this idea.

120 seconds base would mean that even with faster co-op speeds, gens would probably still take longer than they currently do.

This would be a fantastic change for killers, but there's two reasons it can't be implemented. And that's camping and tunneling. Currently, the fastest way for survivors to do gens is to split up on them. This is also the safest way to do them, as it's the hardest to pressure.

Inverting solo and co-op speeds would push survivors into grouping up, increasing efficiency of killer pressure and massively increasing pressure from hooking a survivor. That last one is why it can't be done. It'd make camping and tunneling even more op than they already are.

Not everything is about camping and tunneling!Ask a survivor about Monday night football and they will complain the defense is tunneling the ball carrier. It never ends with camping and tunneling!Oh he was across the board and he looked in my direction that’s camping!Ih he hit me after he downed two other survivors but I was in death hook he’s tunneling!!

  • Says someone who isn’t using it.

  • And yes I am strictly killer main,I have played survivor before and it’s the most boring thing to do.I’d rather watch dust collect on wet paint drying than play survivor.Anybody can hold 1 button to do gens, vault or throw pallets, pick the right perks and it’s just too easy.

  • There should be no such thing as a god pallet. There are too many pallets anyway. Why should there be pallets that a killer can do absolutely nothing at?The pallets are so close together you can just run to another.Pallets should automatically break after use and 1 vault.Game should not be determined by survivors running from pallet to pallet, pressing 1button and getting a mile away.

How will I do my tome challenges that require I jump 3 times from a big height?

Tbh, I think I see more killers play map offerings than survivors at my level.

I never bring map offerings only bp stuff.

  • @fake said:

Oddly enough, with the creation of the new Sacrificial Ward offering, DbD has gained the authority to ignore all complaints about the map's offerings.

    "Use Sacrificial Ward."

But even stranger than that, this Sacrificial Ward offering was designed so that if the same four map offerings were used, they could not be disabled. for SWF lol

So survivors don’t want me to use all the flan I have saved or streamers?fine I guess I have to do without puddings too just so I can stop from getting bullied on a map of their choosing.

  • @Pyrosorc said:

Survivors: Huge buffs to anti-camping and tunneling, basekit. We still aren't even close to having enough. Give solo players some more information to bring them into the same league at least.

Then we buff killers further, although this should either be individual buffs to the weaker killers, or general killer buffs paired with simultaneous nerfs to the strongest killers. Like cmon, if nurse blink attack counted as m2 and all her blink recharges took 2 seconds longer... she'd still be the strongest killer.

Every thing is not about camping and tunneling! If a survivor is dumb enough to rush the hook as soon as I put another survivor on there it’s not camping if I take them out,if a recently unhooked survivor wants to stay around the action then it’s not tunneling if I take them out. What are killers supposed to do ?Are we supposed to let recent unhooked survivors do a hen before we go after them again?Ignore the idiot rushing the hook?…Play Smarter and quit complaining about camping and tunneling. That isn’t even what this thread was about.

  • Can we make playing killer a bannable offense?

  • Well…Bye!

  • He should get “Here comes the Trapper:Ginger Snaps!”

  • Survivors hate all killers and would rather not have any in game and just do gens ,walk out and pat each other on the back.

Patrolling the hook is camping. Standing in front of the hook is face camping.

When three other survivors come crashing the hook,I would be dumb to leave the area. It’s not camping it playing smart.

  • Garden of Joy and that God awful swamp!

  • Think of it like a football game it’s not over at 59 minutes and 59 seconds.if a team scores with 1 second left and wins by 1 point, they still win.

  • @prion11 said:

I think you just need to play a stronger killer. Big maps have always been a problem. Killer DID get stronger, but you still have to actually put in effort. Don't play Doctor or something on a map like mother's dwelling and then come here complaining. AT LEAST play a killer that has some good map mobility before you give up

So you want more nurse and blight.Check!

  • All killer powers and perks should be merged.Reference SRBFKs it explains everything.

I'm running from the killer, making a vault and get caught in a trap on the other end of the vault I had no possibility of seeing or knowing of. Now explain how is this my mistake. What should I have done instead as a player? To FEEL there is a trap and teleport on the other end of the map instead of vaulting?

Just give the Trapper player his due.He set his trap in the right place to catch you, simple as that. Why not just play a game where you don’t have to play against people who actually have a strategy and are trying to win like you are?Survivors keep saying killers aren’t entitled to 4ks,guess what survivors are not entitled to escape.

  • They were all staying around the hook, that wasn’t camping that was chasing the other survivors. What’s a killer supposed to do?Is he just supposed to let the survivors go ?No!if you stay around the hook I’ll let that survivor stay on hook for eternity.

  • Ok ty all.I got some pretty nasty messages after both games.just curious if others opinions.

  • @dugman said:

I'm not sure exactly, but it probably has to do with trying to have something in the game that kind of forces people to move around more? 🤷‍♂️ For instance if you have a hook right in the middle of a 3 gen, and just keep hooking over and over on that one specific hook, it might be beneficial to have that hook wear out eventually and force you to hook a little farther away to give the survivors a little more breathing room. That's just a guess though.

And on a tangent don't forget the basement hooks are indestructible. So whatever the reason there must be one, otherwise they'd have just had all hooks work the same way.

Why should survivors get breathing room if they three gen themselves?

  • @JHondo said:

Chaser can also decrease if you don't immediately leave the hook, even just kicking a gen by the hook a couple games has been enough to screw me out of some adept attempts.

I try not to camp at all unless it’s end game.but that’s good info to know too.thank you to everybody for info!

  • Finally got it!!Really good match too! They got 4 gens done but I got 12 hooks!Got it at Lery’s which is kinda fitting lol. Thanks for advice!

You don't need to get all 12 but you do need chases to last long enough to rack up the chaser emblem.

Ok,I’m trying lol.it’s up to 6 4K in a row now.Hey,atleast I’m getting better at playing with just his perks. It should help me get better overall.

  • @Bartlaus said:

Which emblem fails? Actually, it's not that difficult with Doc...

It’s always chaser gold instead of iri.last match I got 10 hooks.if you have to get all 12 hooks I might as well give up lol.

  • I see a map offering ,I bounce. Not even gonna waste my time with them.

  • Just broke 13 pallets on the game got destroyed.still saw about ten more pallets that were still playable.just way too many.

That's my MO. I usually DC on spawn or shortly after, or suicide on first hook for a few situations:

-Bubba (Not interested in being facecamped by a one-shot killer).

-Legion (Will never be interested in Mending Simulator #283455593743659-04-F with Warp Speed and Terror Radius-wide Killer Instinct).

-Swamp Map (Swamp Map; I'll give it a shot but the map wears thin fast, on both killer and survivor.).

-Trickster (if I've had more than three trials with one in the same play session. That guy is annoying spelled out in neon.)

-Any killer that is trying way too hard vs a potato group.

-I also have special circumstance for instances, like events. Example: Trial has 4-5 cakes/flans/streamers up and the killer is playing like they need everyone dead before a single gen is done. They can certainly do that, of course. I look at it more like if I'm going out with ######### BPs, so can the killer. I'm really happy to see so many people have adopted this philosophy in the latest event. The items are wasted either way, so drop ######### BPs on the try-hard and hop into another trial. Time far better spent. :) One trial I was in yesterday had a killer go on a slugfest before the first gen was done. Two people LD'd on the ground, one suicided on the hook, all before I could even get the killer's attention so I could suicide out! I wound up finding the hatch first and got out!

As an FYI to rescuers, if someone is suiciding on a hook, you really don't need to bother trying to pull them off. Most of the time they'll stand there till they get hit/hooked again, giving you no Safe Unhook for stacks/BPs. It'll also likely just get you injured, and take time away that you could have been doing gens or something else. Even if you're doing it out of spite, it really is more of a problem for you.

How do you get any games in quitting over all those reasons?how do you know they are a try hard on first hook of game?Maybe as killer I should quit after first gen is done?…SMH doesn’t make any sense to me…guess cause I’m not a “pro”.

  • @fixdeadhard said:

Because this first downed survivors has the most info/look on how the game will go. They know which (OP) Killer it is, multiple perks/addons, skill of the person playing the killer, bad latency hits. these are all things that determine how fun a match will be.

But the main thing is that the first downed survivor can see what the 3 teammates are doing (while getting carried to the hook) . And let me tell you that 9/10 times its not fun to look at, just people slow walking/crouching/doing totems/hiding in locker...

Everyone also hates specific maps or going against the same killer multiple games in a row.

In short, there are LOTS of reasons to die first hook, why would you stay in that match when you have enough experience to determine that you will have fun or not, i rather go next game knowing there is a high chance it will be more fun.

Well I tend to be a pretty crappy killer main,I play for fun.If they get info on me and think it’s meta or that I’m op,they are getting bad info.I play trapper, plague and the doc of course.nothing screams super killer by the way I play so they just take what little good I accomplish at playing and flush it down the toilet.
