For normal m1 killers they won't be able to catch the survivor if they are smart.
For the speedy ones like nurse, spirit or blight it could indeed work pretty well if you know where the survivor is.
Also you don't need to hook the survivor. Pick them up and dropping them instantly will reduce how much distance the survivor can make. Do this and even m1 killer can use it
Picking them up and dropping them makes no sense if you are using the taxi meme build.

I don't think it affect bear traps anymore since the last update.
Its a truly pointless stat that affect a single secondary mechanic in the game. It should just be removed at that point.
I could be mistaken, but I don't believe I recall seeing anything mentioning that such a change happened?

It's okay. Just lookin' to correct any potential misinformation.

Apparently luck gives a very low percentage to get good items and escape from hooks. maybe only a few luck stacks increases the chances. Chest perks are the best in my opinion.

No it does not. Luck only affects self-unhooking and escaping Bear Traps.

It's actually bad in that meme build. You want people to bodyblock you with mad grit.
The only use i can think of for this is to make bbq better. People who run inside your terror radius to avoid the aura reading will have to play safe for a while.
30 seconds really isn't a long time though
Here's the thing to consider: If you pick someone up and start chasing another Survivor while carrying them, they are perpetually Exposed for as long as you are carrying them. In that case, it wouldn't just be 30 seconds. It would actually be 30 seconds + the amount of time you spend chasing that Survivor while carrying another. And then you factor in the occasional opportunity of someone grazing your TR and being tagged with Exposed as well (which is very possible with a 44-meter Terror Radius thanks to Agitation).

This perk will be most likely used with Agitation, Mad Grit and Iron Grasp for memes, I cannot see it in an actuall game tbh.
I really want to try it with that build, as I have been using it for months, but I am very hesitant to unlock the Teachable and clog up the Bloodweb only to find that I don't actually think the perk is worth replacing my currently fourth slot (Surge). Being able to actually chase someone and keep the effect going for as long as I am carrying the payload seems super tempting.

20201, you live in the future! How is it? Do we have flying cars? :D
Yes, but they run on Flintstones power, hence the Exhaustion symbol in the second pic.
-
I'm guessing that 2020 is everyone wearing masks, and 20201 is everyone just being exhausted.
-
Most forums, from what I understand, look down upon necroposting. It's not a thing exclusive to here.
-
Make more perks balanced among each other (through buffing, nerfing, and re-working as needed) to increase the number of viable perks relative to each other when push comes to shove.
-
Currently as long as there are maps that skew heavily toward one side, letting players select maps isn't really a good idea IMO. This includes the current map offerings.
-
When the sound for the last generator being finished blares, and the Reverse Bear Trap inventory count is not at zero.

Oh yeah I agree with you, I meant the aesthetics.
No way that killer would be released that op.
Yeah, aesthetically, this looks really cool. Gameplay-wise...well, aesthetically, it looks really cool. :)

I already don’t like the current effect of the perk. Having perks like this and Sole Survivor (where you benefit from other survivors being dead) is unhealthy for the game, in my opinion. You’ll just have even more teammates waiting out their fellow survivors’ deaths for a more guaranteed escape with a change like this. It’s ironic, because Bill instead was “left behind” as a sacrifice for the good of his friends.
As for an alternative? I’m not really sure honestly. I wouldn’t mind if he got an insane amount of speed boost again. What if it applied a 200% boost to all actions as the last living survivor?
I find it strange that you think Left Behind is unhealthy because it increases the chances of an escape, and then suggest an idea that makes it SUPER easy to open the Exit Gates as the last Survivor.
-
Presentation is top-notch, but the Killer power itself looks like a pretty dece example of why Blight needs to bounce off a wall before being allowed to Lethal Rush. Plus, the perks seem pretty whack. Still, I'd certainly love to see more from this channel.

Looks awesome. Reminds me of that nostalgic Macmillan estate blue vibe. Lightning effects are sweet. When does actual dbd get some ambience and dynamic weather?
It certainly looks great, but I feel like it would be very difficult to see in when actually playing the game.

It can be both. Right now it's neither. Comp players have to make up a bunch of rules and restrictions to make this game playable in a competitive setting, and new players have to deal with an insane grind, long queue times, a near complete lack of meaningful tutorials.
I like this response, and I agree with it.

For me I don't count it a win unless at least 3 escape. Just as on killer I count a win as at least 3 dead.
2 is a draw, 1, even if it's me, is a loss for the team
This is how I feel, though obviously I'll feel a bit better if I'm the one escapee than if it's someone else.

I support it.

Then I'm pretty sure Otz is wrong?

Dbd is not an esport and never gonna be an esport. Stop trying making it an esport. You can't bloody balance 4v1 no matter how hard you try.
As why only spirit and nurse are good killers: because they can mostly ignore survivor defense. They don't have gameplay, they ignore pallets, walls, windows etc. Good nurse and spirit with 400$ headphones will always kill you.
I don't want more killers like this in dbd. It's unti fun. No matter how good you are, ######### you - you die. The only solution is to gen rush and leave 4 minutes.
Perhaps the solution, then, is to re-balance the Survivor defense and balance the Killers who ignored said defense around that. :P

@FrenziedRoach said:
Because top 1% is only 1% of the playerbase.
If the balance is fine for most of the playerbase, there isn't a problem. The problem is with those trying to put money and prestige on a title that was never designed for that in the first place.
I don't really agree with this. It should be balanced at the top as well IMO.

I don't care what you call it or how you word it. I just want to be able to move onto another match.
Only as long as all Survivors on the team are on board with it.
-
I think what you want is Identity V's option to allow the Survivors to voluntarily surrender to the Killer as a group.

luck technically does another thing, it increases the odds of getting something good with ace in the hole.
Pretty sure that is not true. From what I understand, Luck impacts exactly two things in the game:
1) The chance of a successful attempt at escaping the Trapper's Bear Trap
2) The chance of a successful attempt at unhooking yourself
-
They're all pretty similar anyways, so it doesn't make much of a difference to me personally. If I absolutely had to pick one, probably Blendette.
-
Does the Nurse's M1 have different properties when coming out of a blink compared to when she normally does it?
-
I don't think it should be removed exactly, but I do think it should be changed. An action that hurts you 96% of the time but is a big momentum swing 4% of the time (excluding anything that modifies luck) that is entirely a roll of the dice (except when Deliverance is involved) just does not sound like good design at all. I'd rather it be an actual consistent thing you can do with either a consistent drawback or a condition that needs to be met. It's why I don't like natural kobes but have no problem with Deliverance.

No, this is the perfect reason that why having one "ranked" mode for a "party game" is a stupid idea. Let the sweat lords play in "competition" mode and develop different modes for those that don't want to be any part of that garbage. A large portion of people play video games for "fun". I know certain folks can't fathom that. Video games? For Fun? Not to be world champion?
No, it's the perfect reason not to let people block others in matchmaking.

I used to use MLGA and loved it! If you were super good and sweated serious balls, I'd block you. ESPECIALLY Nurse and Billy. I've played this game for thousands of hours and feeling like you are a tee-ball team playing against a Major League Team isn't a fun game. It can't be fun for the sweat lords either. If that was my only option, I'd uninstall and move on. I don't have to win, I don't care to die (or if all 4 escape), but if I felt like it was a super skill mismatch, it was ZERO fun. Slug games are boring. As killer and survivor. Getting 1 hook and bullied is ZERO fun as killer.
Since the implementation of dedicated lag servers and the demise of MLGA, if it's an obvious skill mismatch, I'm going to suicide on hook and move on. I shouldn't have been matched in that large of a skill disparity to begin with! As killer, you have to suffer through to the end and open an exit gate. As a survivor, best of luck with your safety pip sweat lord I'm out!
This is a good example of why they should never give players the ability to blacklist other players in matchmaking.
-
They're not going to let you prevent yourself from going up with/against certain people, nor should they.

Is that a sign of MMR being bad or a sign of balance being bad?

Hold on, though: We know slugging isn't against the rules, but the OP specifies that this doctor made everyone bleed out. He didn't hook or kill anyone, just locked them in an extended match while refusing to progress it.
This is similar to when I encountered a spirit that slugged the last survivor after others had already escaped or died, and she refused to hook or mori him, leaving him unable to do anything for about two full minutes.
Slugging isn't against the rules, but surely bleedout slugging is? The killer doesn't get any points for slug bleedouts, either, so the Doctor wasn't trying to win or bolster his score, he was specifically holding the survivors hostage in an unwinnable game.
It's not holding hostage. Holding hostage means the Killer is forcing the game to go on indefinitely. If the game will definitely forcibly end in a few minutes if nothing is done, it is by BHVR's definition not holding hostage.
So no, "bleedout slugging" is not against the rules.
-
Inner Strength I think is worth using, but not best of the best. Second Wind I can't speak to as I have not used it personally, but the general consensus seems to be not very high toward it.
-
If you just care about sweats and winning at all cost, Freddy. Be warned that he is currently in the dev's crosshairs to be nerfed in the future.

Saying "Oh, you guys have a problem? Duh, just fix the problem" doesn't really accomplish much IMO.

Legion. You can't have a Killer that is represented by multiple people and NOT incorporate that into the Killer's mechanics.

I'm also not saying you are required to not use iri head, i'm just asking what the thought process behind it is. Like why people don't want to improve at the game and want to be handed wins.
Some people want to use the best tools available to win. That is not inherently a bad thing.
-
@gendoss said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2027397#Comment_2027397
I mean in that case every survivor should be bringing pink keys every game and every single person should be playing Nurse. I don't have a problem with people using amazing killers like Nurse and Spirit but iri head is just way overboard. Sometimes you should be finding a common ground and not be using the most overpowered builds every game especially in a game that is very unbalanced like this one is.
It being reasonable does not mean everyone is required to do it. It means that it is okay that they do it. Again, if that ends up being unfun, that's an issue with the game.
-
Winning at all costs is a reasonable thing for either side to want to do (barring rule-breaking). If that ends up being un-fun, that is more of an issue with the game itself than the players trying to win.
-
Why shouldn't the Killer be heavily favored over the lone Survivor at that point? It makes sense that if four Survivors are meant to be balanced around one Killer, then one Survivor would be at a huge disadvantage.
