Yes. She should be able to insta down out of phase, she should be able to see survivors, and Mother-Daughter Ring should receive a massive buff.
Too much work. Just give her a gun. One that fires actual bullets.

Considering that they explicitly said that they would avoid doing this after what happened with Old Freddy on live release, the situation must be pretty dire for Trickster for them to make an exception here (though I guess it depends on WHAT those changes are, exactly). So much for two months before looking at the data.

During second phase, instead of button mashing to keep you alive you have to do skill checks, and if you fail one you don't automatically die, but the hook timer will decrease a bit
You can still technically suicide on hook by failing all skill checks intentionally, but it will take longer 😉

Dont waste your traps early. Because that will make you lose possibly. Keep one of them before last gen. Use it before last gen finish. So that will make one of the survivors stay in match. I am not playing as Pig so much, that is best i can give you.
I don't agree with this, personally. If by coincidence you have a trap to spare at one gen left, okay, but deliberately saving it for that point is both not as great a payoff as one would hope and a gamble that could result in one of your Traps going to waste if the gen pops before you get the Trap on. You really want to grind the game to a halt as soon as possible to get the snowball going, so the more players you can force to search the boxes sooner, the better.

Let me start by saying that I'm not a frequent flyer of this forum. In fact, I've literally never been here before and I just created an account to write this post begging the devs to please, PLEASE stop buffing killer.
I'm a killer main. I've always been a killer main. But I don't play killer anymore.
Why? Because it's just too easy. Laughably easy, to the point of being boring. It feels like I can mindlessly tunnel survivors, hardly ever use perks or abilities, give no thought to strategy and still rank up.
I came here to share my opinion, and I didn't even have to look 5 posts down to find other players writing about the same thing. So I know I'm not crazy for thinking this or the only person who has noticed a significant shift in balance with the last few updates.
I'm not sure what the impetus is for all the recent changes favoring killers and making life harder for survivors, and like I said I'm not the kind of player who's constantly on forums keeping up with news and posts from the devs. So if that information is already out there somewhere, please enlighten me. But this is the theory I have come up with...
In the past, survivor and killer were fairly balanced. However, at the higher ranks, survivors tended to play in premade teams using Discord, giving them a significant advantage compared to the way the game was designed to be played (without voice chat). The game was no longer balanced at the higher ranks, survivors won more often than killers, and maybe killer became less popular as a result. In order to counteract the apparent imbalance, the devs decide to implement patch after patch full of buffs for killers and nerfs for survivors, and now we are where we are today.
In my opinion, this was the wrong approach. Killer is now way too easy in standard matchmaking, and even when you "lose" a game (3 or 4 survivors escaping) you'll generally still get enough points to not lose pips. Hell, you can even sometimes still gain pips even though you lost.
If I'm correct and the reason for the killer buffs is to attempt to nullify the advantage of voice chat used by high rank survivor teams, then the only way you can ever make that fair is to put voice chat in the game as a standard feature for survivor players. I get that it ruins the immersion, but without that there will always be a discrepancy/imbalance between whether or not the survivors are using voice chat.
A second (and perhaps better) solution would be to rework the pip system for survivors to incentivize play that actually wins games. Combine Evader and Unbroken together into one emblem, then add a second emblem related to gen progress. For example, Lightbringer could be left how it is (points granted based on individual player's percentage of the team's total gen progress) with the second generator emblem being shared among the whole team based on the team's total gen progress so that survivors who distract the killer while their teammates do gens (especially if they are keeping the killer busy primarily through stealth/hiding and not spending much time in a chase) still get credit for helping the team. This would also solve the problem of survivors getting punished with low points/pips when they have a great game where they are never or rarely found/caught/hooked by the killer. Because let's be honest... Gen progress is what wins games for survivors, but it's not what gets you pips. Right now there's way too much incentive for people to everything EXCEPT gens, and people who are focused on actually winning the game (prioritizing gen progress over Altruism/Evader/Unbroken points) get punished with fewer pips.
But yeah, anyway... Regardless of what you guys think the solution is, the current state of the game ain't it. It's ridiculous how many terrible killers I see running around at rank 1 and 2 because it's so easy for them to win right now (or still earn pips even when they lose). And for those of us who actually know how to play killer well, it's just not fun anymore when I don't even have to strategize at all or make any kind of creative use of my perks/abilities/add-ons... I just mindlessly run at people and M1, and even on the rare occasion that the survivors escape I still get enough points to get pips. In other words: boring as hell.
/endrant
It's ridiculous how many terrible killers I see running around at rank 1 and 2 because it's so easy for them to win right now (or still earn pips even when they lose).
Here's my baseless belief: The average Survivor in any given rank is potato tier. There are enough Survivors in high ranks who REALLY shouldn't be that it becomes easy to just win as a low-tier Killer running a meme build against the average non-SWF Survivor team. This results in not good Killers moving up the ranks too and being in ranks they should not be as well. Basically, at high ranks, bad players still exist on both sides, and when bad players square off against bad players, the edge goes to the Killer because one bad Survivor can sink an entire team if the rest of the team isn't really good to make up for that. The issue is exacerbated when bad players run into GOOD opponents for obvious reasons.

I mean, DBD can be competitive, if you had a team consisting of killer+survivors facing another team of killer+survivors. Because that is essentially what baseball is. One team plays the bat side first and then the other team plays the bat side.
This still forces each team to play against the same killer at least best of 2 or best of 3 to reduce RNG being a factor as much as possible. But that is the closest you can get to a competitive scene in DBD.
"Well, folks, we've got ourselves a hot one today! The Sacramento Sluggers going up against the Texas Teabaggers!"

Because a Survivor DCing counts as them dying.

I did not even realize they made a release trailer for the Trickster. Hot damn, I actually do wish they used it in the game.

Both tbh. It’s dlc policy was garbage but they also pushed esports too much and the meta quickly formed
I mean, a meta is going to form regardless because there will inevitably be people who try to optimize their gameplay.

I'd argue Windows is terrible, right when you need it the most it disables. A perk that helps much much more to make the killer have a hard time is deja vu.
I'd say the cooldown on Windows is small enough that you can usually get it back when need to run to another point, and that's assuming you don't already know where to go because Windows already showed you another available pallet/window before it deactivated.

What im thinking is add some restrictions like if someone abuses the system he will get a warning if he does it many times he will get temp banned
How will the game know that it's being abused in isolated instances?
-
I think the Dead By Daylight community embodies the proverb "The grass is always greener on the other side."
-
I think the gameplay for Melee makes up for the small number of viable characters competitively. I don't think the gameplay for this game makes up for the fact that the number of viable killers is very small (possibly even smaller than Melee's, given that one of the running memes for this game is that the only killers that can survive against skilled SWFs are Nurse, Spirit, and Freddy). Also, the comment above regarding Melee's inability to be officially patched is a fair one too.
-
Assuming it is done early in the game as a form of ragequitting, I feel like the game was ruined. Done in the late game to try and give some the hatch, I'm cool with it.

stop.
This is still a GAME.
A game the devs seem out to make competitive, e-sports ready. This means you have to have mechanics that punish scummy playing, and should undo mechanics like multihit bubba etc.
You got to separate things.
Not to mention that countering scummy playing would be good for gamehealth.
Do you think current competitive tactics don't punish scummy play with a loss?

People mistake tapping a gen to stop regression the same as repairing a gen.
Make it so you have to work on the gen for a few(and i mean a few) seconds before DS gets deactivated. It should also start the cooldown after another survivor is hooked.
Make it so you have to work on a gen for a few seconds before gen regression actually stops, while we're at it.

"Mori wasn't a problem for me"
"I 'lobby dodge' when I saw one"
These two statements conflict with each other.

I think it's reasonable as-is. I don't think DS should save you while performing a not-mandatory-to-avoid-going-down-or-dying action that requires you to stand still for a lengthy period of time (as opposed to an action that could end up being mandatory, such as mending or searching a Jigsaw Box with a ticking RBT).

Sure, if you feel that way, maybe he's just not your playstyle. But I SUCK with Huntress and I really like him as an alternative. But they ARE upsides to his power that give him different utility than Huntress, and best thing: you can stealth if you want because you don't have that damn lullabye
I don't like to use my personal skills with a character as a measuring stick. Otherwise, I'd be demanding buffs to every Killer that isn't Pig. I just think Trickster is MUCH MUCH worse than Huntress to the point where I don't really see a purpose in using him for mechanical reasons.
-
@Exerath1992 said:
Now everyone is being real a$$ holes this time, sluzzy is right. This killer is getting constant carp because you can't Insta down, but there are a lot of redeeming qualities.
OP is 100% right about the spamming issue. Everyone wants to spam knives while loop chasing, and that's just stupid.
One great strength of the knives is zoning survivors. If they start running at a loop you don't want them at, throw knives between them and the loop and they will often dodge away, letting you catch them on the loop faster. or sometimes they even give up on the tile entirely
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2071928#Comment_2071928
Yeah, considering you get 60 knives, its not a lot. That's 3 downs with basekit with room to miss 7 knives. That's 3 downs per reload, where as Huntress only gets 2 downs and an injury with base kit. Yes, it takes longer than Huntress, but more room for error and there's more things you can do with the knives (zoning, prepping a hit against someone with endurance, shooting through small gaps, wasting a couple knives to throw at a really far away gen or totem to get survs to panic and run before they complete it, and the add ons give so many special kinds of traits that are fun and effective)
Basically, i think he has a similar skill ceiling as Huntress but a lower skill floor. Plus, he doesn't have that damn lullabye to worry about, and the additional main event that can sometimes be clutch. Yes, its not the best secondary power, but its better than nothing. Sometimes you get no value, sometimes you get a slugfest.
I personally believe that every potential upside you listed about the Legion is vastly outweighed by Huntress's "one hatchet = one health state".

Starstruck, Mad Grit, and Lightborn with maybe Iron Grasp or Agitation is the big brain carrying build.
Is it effective in general? Probably not.
Is it holarious? Hell yeah.
IMO Lightborn isn't worth it. I'd rather use both Agitation and Iron Grasp and just try to play around flashlights.

Unless the Hex perk allows for the Killer to end the game way too quickly from the get-go and/or for the Hex perk to be way too difficult to remove, I'm not sure how many ways there are to make a Hex perk OP simply on the grounds that it can always be cleansed.

The mind game of standing still was one part of her power, that barely even worked in the first place. She still had the ability to become completely invisible while still having decent tracking ability on the survivor, which is what most people complain about.

His point is that it's been less than a day since the killer joined the actual game and it's too early to adequately judge. Otz thought that Spirit would be weak when she came out, and now look at her. She gets more hate than Taylor Swift (which isn't saying much but I just wanted to get that joke off of my chest).
Shake it off, shake it off, I-, I-, I-,
Please stop bringing up the Spirit thing. It's already been shown that Spirit was buffed more than once after her PTB, both on live release and during her midchapter patch.

Not really. Someone made a fantastic point about this and this is another reason why I extremely dislike this new Leatherface rework.
("Since his introduction he’s been the most broken killer for camping, and now so more than ever. We were told his face camping potential was going to be addressed, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to not rev the chainsaw at the hooked survivor, considering the charge time is about the same time it takes to unhook a survivor. Chainsaw eats through two health states and even BT.
Now they’ve made it so he can use his chainsaw in chase better, which requires very little skill compared to Billy. He is killer on training wheels.
To make him more skillful and fair, I think he should only do one health state damage per chainsaw, but in return reduce the sprint survivors get from damage by half. That way he can still get downs with multiple charges, but not just be brain dead staring at a hook as easily." - GoshJosh Posted March 27th).
I agree with this statement.
With old Leatherface, it wasn't as daunting to save someone off a hook, even when he continually revved his chainsaw. He wasn't able to eat through two health states and BT when someone would go for an unhook with BT.
New Leatherface is actually quite broken with how far he can go with just using his chainsaw. Yes, there is a way to loop it - Drop a pallet early or run around two medium sized objects as he comes after you (can work sometimes).
Old Leatherface was more skillful because you had to use your chainsaw in a appropriate time. You need to apply pressure and most of that playstyle would give you a 4k in result. But with this new one, you can pretty much not give a fat cock about the gen pressure and just down people in just a few seconds because of how easy it is - not to mention you can use perk builds to give you a advantage that can help you win the match easily. (Tinkerer, Pop, BBQ and whatever else). There is probably more then just those perks because basement bubba is extremely terrifying right about now. (Which isn't a thing as much now because people know how powerful Bubba is now).
You need to apply pressure and most of that playstyle would give you a 4k in result.
This was nowhere near the general consensus for Leatherface back then. At the very least, I don't agree with this, nor do I agree that current Leatherface is OP.
