  • Tbh once you get in a lobby as survivor it doesnt matter if the killer dodges. With an open lobby you get a new killer like immediately. So just dodge.

    How much

    Auric cells or iridescent shards

you can get it for 1080 auric (-10% off) or 21600 shards

Regarding these new cosmetics I really just have they seem intent on releasing a bunch of Nurse related cosmetics. Usually companies release that before they gut the character but BHVR seems to be trying to convince players to play her again with all these cosmetics, but it aint workin

Thats what I already thought about her last cosmetic. Like "her here is a cool new cosmetic, how about playing her now?"

I dont understand why they make nurse cosmetics at all in her current state.

Kate's cosmetics are so lackluster. They always look so trashy. Two of her cosmetics, being this one and Award Night Opulence literally make her look like a prostitute. The only good one is her winter outfit.

Mby you can hook up with some nice killer in the game wearing that xD

Facecamping is fine in the endgame or if 3 gens pop in 2 minutes but most killers will start nodding and hitting you over and over while your on hook which is unnecessary and thats when i consider it toxic. Btw im not toxic most of the time if a killer was a baby i let them kill me. But facecamping for no reason with 5 gens left is not a good strategy and it's clear there just doing it to destroy that survivors fun.

Ja, you see there are such situations on both sides. I totally understand you. But its not always obvious. I once facecamped right off the bat when a player did a last second switch. Thats toxic for me because I get no choice to adapt to it. And I get spammed how toxic I am... same thing with the "hook tech" exploit. Ofc there are players that only want to ruin other peoples' fun but thats just how online games are. The question is if you want to fight it the same way.

How do i counter a killer standing right infront of the hook when im not in a swf? Also im not crying about it really dont care if a killer camps/tunnels me but if they do i will be toxic too. Its toxic becasue it completely ruins that survivors experience unless there in a swf and they just have to stay on the hook till they die and if they dc killers call them toxic

Dont unhook someone who gets face camped mate. Do gens, that shouldnt be a problem.

Toxicity is the intention behind it, not using game mechanics.

    For example:

If a survivor clicky clicks you because he want attention to save a team mate its not toxic, if he does it to provocate and bully you without any reason it is. Same for tunnel. If you tunnel because you want to ruin that survivors fun it is toxic, if you do it for the kill to shift the momentum it is not. If you facecamp to secure a kill its a whole different story than facecamping out of bad will.

If you dc you are nothing but a spoiled brat no matter the reason. All you do is assuming toxicity and play like that yourself. I dont wanna know how many killers fun you ruined, but thats nothing you would think about. What a role model. Keep playing like that but dont think you will get any sympathy.

Tunneling and camping theres nothing even the best survivor can do if you face camp but even the best loops (which i do agree need to be nerfed a bit) can be counterd. For example the iron works infinite can be countered by bamboozle, spirit, nurse, billy, wraith, clown, freddy, trapper, hag and huntress

What are you talking about. I meant whats toxic about camp or tunnel and not what possible counters are :D

    Btw:

camp - do gens, use BT, dont go alone for the unhook, bait a hit, etc.

tunnel - bodyblock the killer, DS, BT, etc

Dude there are so many counters to this stuff :D its just that some players like to cry about it and call it uncounterable

  • If I play huntress I get mothers dwelling, lampkin or ormond. Like there are no other maps. rly depressing. Rng hates me.

  • No. ebony (pink) is ultra rare, green is rare.

  • You get banned for body blocking someone for the whole game.

So only using bugs and exploits are toxic... well I think some may disagree here. But in your view on things I agree.

  • I came to the conclusion that after the ruin change it can look like too much to bring keys if the gens already go fast and games end quick. So it could be that there are some players who think keys are overkill atm and its toxic to want an even faster/easier game.

For example I never bring in items except for challenges. So using a key doesnt feel toxic for me, but definitly not needed. Ofc with the same logic I handle moris.

That's not how it works, additionally how do you "Bully" the killer with DS & BT?

BT is easily countered by going after the unhooker, and DS is easily countered by slugging/chasing someone else, none of this is "bullying".

Stop with the victim complex because survivors use perks you don't like, it's getting absurd now.

You can totally use these perks maybe not to"bully" but differently as they are intented.

I had many games where survivors with BT unhooked right in my back. The one who got unhooked walked right into me and tanks a hit for the unhooker, knowing I wouldnt chase him down. So no its not just easy countered by going for the unhooker.

The counter to DS is slugging/ chase someone else. Yes. But still you can also abuse the effect of DS. Going into the locker forces the killer to wait, eat DS or go away even in no tunnel scenarios. I myself used DS otherwise. Going for risky plays and trying to make my DS work even though I did not get tunneled.

Yes I also dont think that was bullying. But I also understand it can feel like bullying in killer view.

  • I can only speak for myself but I escape most of the time or if I die I pip. Im rank 1 as survivor and playing in duo, sometimes 3 man swf. I even escaped the trials when doing the 10 sabo and 6 chest challenges. Ended my game session yesterday with 7 escapes in a row.

The times I died I screwed up badly or my team did some major mistakes. I cant help but see that playing killer takes much more sweat.

In my own killer experience red ranks got easier due to matchmaking, rank system and rank reset.

  • No wonder this game is for kids under parental advisory xD

I’ve not been playing long but in 3 weeks I got to rank one, that shouldn’t be possible tbh I don’t think I’m amazing I don’t know some loops and learnt most of everything else from YouTube getting to rank one that easy is just concerning and now with the “soft reset” more bad players are getting to red ranks, it just feels like red ranks aren’t even important at all anymore

Well ranks are important. But due to the easy pip system and dreanking issues they get all mixed up. Also swf plays a role here. I think a big topic is the game experience. I also think the old rank reset was better tbh.

Those with mercy can never truly embrace the salvation that is Demo, you must not care about the survivors idea of salvation for their only true path towards it is death by Demos hands in the most unwinnable savage cruel way possible

Behold the gracious bringer of salvation as he brings a true end to the entitys' trial without dirten his hands in mud by noed. Those who seek mercy shall be devoured by the face of the uncrowned king, but not by the crutch of the poor.

But nice build ideas btw ^^

  • I think a larger bracket would increase the q times without a proper matchmaking.

Imo the 20 ranks are fine. But the pip system needs some attention.

  • @Chaoxide said:

My good sir, today i plan to show you the ultimate path towards true salvation when playing the Demo, the uncrowned king of the basement, the cerberus of the gates of deadbydaylight, and hidden prince of gen grabs.

There is only THREE correct ways of playing the Demo

    1.) Uncrowned Basement King

    2.) Defender of gates

    3.) Ninja doggo

The first path "Uncrowned King" uses the perks:

    Make Your Choice-Territorial-Iron Grasp-Agitation

To make this build be at its full power you must let go of any foolish mercy given to survivors of dead by daylight, kindness does NOT exist with the demo, remove it from your system and make the plague of the survivor community scream with rage. All you must do with this build is one thing, one very small thing. Down ONE survivor, ONE thats it. Use the powers of the old king bubba and bring foolish survivors to their demise within the basement aka Demos den. Once they have been brought there place a portal at the ENTRANCE to the basement and then just walk away do what you want, EVENTUALLY someone will come for the poor soul, they always do mwuhahaha AND THAT IS THERE MISTAKE, as soon as they get close you will know with the hidden gem of power Territorial, when triggered use its power to look at their auras while you place a portal instantly at your feet dropping ANYTHING that youre doing idc if youre gonna down someone stop instantly. Then use the power of the king and transport yourself to your den after they unhook the fool. You now can instantly down 2 survivors and place them in the den and due to your hidden abilities you can do the impossible and make the survive with friends fav perk borrowed time nothing but a dead waste of a perk for demos power prevents it from ever happening due to the game not registering you being within its radius of activation in time to save them. From this point onward you snowball to victory with the only potential means of escape being the hatch to which if you truly embrace the no mercy mentality you will SLUG that 3rd fool and either find the hatch if available or stalk your prey to its demise. Congrats YOU WIN.

The second path "Cerberus" uses the perks:

Remember me-Noed- followed by 2 perks of your choice(recommend gen slow perks like pop and thana)

The true beauty of this path lays in the ability to make hatchs just a pathetic last hope thats snuffed from the hearts of survivors and making every gate a true last defense unable to be passed by the unworthy peons daring to cross the gates of hell back to salvation and thus just like Cerberus preventing souls from escaping hell or entering, you prevent all from crossing YOUR gates. The key is to use your portals to the fullest during the end moments of the game. Place 2 portals at both gates if gens are being close to done(2) from there if possible you can try to find the hatch if its down to one survivor or just ignore it if its not possible to be opened and teleport from gate to gate almost instantly using add ons to increase recovery speed and travel speed(you may also place some portals on the gates to hold your power and see the heartbeats of survivors if they attempt to open a gate). One thing to know with this build however is that shred does NOT stack remember me, if you are facing your obsession smack them, move on if need be never get too blood lusted. If done correctly no one can escape the demo outside of keys of salvation. The cowards escape.

The third path "Ninja Doggo" uses the perks:

    Ruin-Servaliance-Discordance-Optional

This build is by far the weakest of the three paths but is a fun build to do, use add ons that increase oblivious duration and place portals at all gens that you can(6+), however make sure to place them behind a wall away from the gen out of view or behind some obstacle preventing line of sight but close enough to be able to reach the gens that are being worked on and grab any unsuspecting fool, this creates many jump scares and grabs and can be a fun experience for all if you want to be merciful and not sadistic like a true killer.

Congrats you now know the true paths of the Demogorgon, go forth and make survivors cry

Dude the first two are just cruel xD

Noed can never be the choice for salvation :p

Yup lol I’m p3ing all the famous licensed killers I did Freddy, ghostface,Michael recently bubba then pig is on p2 but close to p3

uh nice. way to go. I like the p3 outfits, especially michaels'.

But honestly dont play bubba with p3 face. Use the claudette face xD

  • I think it can be very stressful sometimes. Still the best counter to every killer is doing the gens and that applies a lot of pressure on you.

I dont think you would want to go out of your way and "go hard". So the best you can do is play for other things than kills or pips. When I got really frustrated but wanted to keep playing killer I just played for 4 bbq stacks. And if a game seemed manageable without sweating too much I went all in.

Ofc your killer rank matters here, too. On R1 I get a lot of inexperienced survivors due to the easy pip system, or lower ranks because of the matchmaking. So over all red ranks feel easier as killer atm. What I've seen regarding the lower ranks as killer, I think it can get pretty tough when matched with higher ranks than your own.

  • lol yeah sometimes its good for a laugh. I think its ages last time I did basement on bubba. Is that the p3 face?

  • @Philerz said:

Seriously? You guys are being babies that much about the new patch that you’re de ranking down to ranks 17-20?? All because you have been found out by the nerf to ruin, as a toxic killer who relies on dumb OP perks instead of applying pressure

I think adressing the problem with deranking the way you did is just wrong.

  • Did you have fun?

  • I like playing tower defense while waiting for a match in dbd ^^

Tbh the horror aspect gets less and less the more you play. I only get this old thrilling feeling when a new killer is released.

I didn't realize easy mode was such an offensive term, killer mains use it to describe playing as survivor all the time. It never really bothered me so I didn't figure it would bother you, sorry.

Tbh it bothers me. You know I think we all form our community and describing a huge part of the game as easy doesnt help making players realize we are all playing the same game. It just seperates. Ofc playing survivor is less stressful because of a various of reasons. But still being good as one is not easy.

    No bad feelings mate

I was just informing you in case you hadn't yet realized. I also wasn't blaming you.

How do I like easy mode if I play fair n square on R1 and going for 12 hooks?

It could be you are unaware of how your comment gets understood. If you tell me I play ez mode, then you look down on me without any reason. Making you so much better because you play "hard mode". I recommend you to pay more attention to your phrasing.

Maybe you can adress the threads topic with your own thoughts instead of making this sort of comments.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1026724#Comment_1026724

Everything about an asymmetrical game encourages stomps and waves of pressure. I can't blame you for liking the game on easy mode.

Whats your problem dude. Its my opinion. Get lost with your toxic comments. Honestly you leave a pretty bad impression everywhere I see you. Get a hold of yourself.

  • I think the gen speed bonus should go.

I like the idea with the skill checks.

Maybe you could add something like a skill check every 10 sec or something. Or more challenging skill checks with higher reward.

Personally I would love a tool box with different powers. Like if you repair a gen with this toolbox you will see the aura of another gen that got progression on it.

  • Well for me old ruin was a perk I ran on many killers, but I never liked playing with it. I didnt rely on it to 4k or something like that. But I used it to have the chance of a long game with several chases and many hooks without resorting to slug, camp or tunnel. It took a lot of stress at the beginning of a match and tbh I had the best games when ruin was up till late game.

Ofc I also used builds without ruin and am used to different playstyles and strategies. But these games always felt and feel sweaty. I have no problem with playing competitive and go for kills in a short time. Its just a lot less fun. Im R1 surv and killer every season since release on ps4. I started out on pc and switchted later to console. I can have easy games as killer without equipping perks and addons, but honestly if I do that, no one will have fun.

So what I wish for is to have long healthy games where everyone can experience a "fight" instead of a stomp. Regarding the new infos from the dev stream I get the feeling thats a very long way to go.

They changed a lot regarding survivors, their items, pallets, etc. Everything to make it more fair to killers. And that was the right direction. But atm I think they back up and are concentrating on the fun of new players . I dont know where it will go from here but we will see.

Imo playing killer atm is very stressful. And I cant imagine whats it like for new players or lower rank killers. So I keep playing more surv and less killer.

  • Can somebody tell me what perks the devs meant when they said "there are some other perks in the game that do a pretty good job of affecting the beginning of the game?"

  • could you link me or tell me where I find that explanation? I think I missed that

  • @Peanits said:

Was it the Grim Pantry one?

If it's the one I'm thinking of, they know what they did. Each time I'd hook someone, someone else would start running over like I couldn't see them.

Yeah it was. They played really bad and deserved that tbh ^^

  • Yeah I wonder too. Actually I was suprised the first time I used rancor and couldnt mori after I closed the hatch. Imo if the devs aim for consistency they should make it work or make adrenaline not work with hatch closing.

  • @Peanits said:

Depends on what the situation calls for. I'll usually match whatever the survivors are doing. If they want to rush the hook the second I leave, I'll tend to hang around expecting an unhook and make that altruism backfire, for example.

I saw you 4k slugging on swamp with huntress at the beginning of the match :P what a meanie xD

  • Had a game vs a nurse with franklins. My medkit got stuck under a pallet. Couldnt get it. So I think same goes for your key

  • @Lucama said:

Well, new Ruin is also bad. Double regression is still half the rate of a single survivor repairing gens with no toolbox.

It is, agreed. Even on billy I cant see any benefit. I get the same results without the new one. Might as well equip other perks instead of a bad "endgame" hex .

  • Its not about that new ruin is bad. There is just no substitute for the old ruin. Thats bad.

  • Oh lol. Maybe we need a sarcastic emote in this forum^^

Typically when I hear about the back revving 1 shot Huntress arguement, I end up wondering how people survive against Bubba. If thats all your doing is getting melee range before ever tossing a hatchet, surely Bubba is a more lethal version since he at least moves at 115%.

I swear I lose my mind here. Totally agree and usually you even have a movement buff from pwyf on bubba. Idk what some players are thinking. I mean if you get meleed by huntress its your own fault. I mean she got a pretty big lullaby radius.

A.) Myers has to work for his Tier 3 and it doesn’t last the entire match without the use of an add-on and it takes forever to get to Tier 3 with the Tuft of Hair.

B.) Bubba is terrible and in no way compares to Iridescent Head.

C.) Billy can’t do much about pallet looping. You actually have to know how to curve around pallets, ya know...things that require mindgames and skill. A good Billy earns their downs.

A good Huntress will not miss her shot in a melee range. It doesn’t even feel good to use as Huntress. All you do is destroy the team. 80% of the Huntresses that use Iridescent Head pair it with a mori and kill the team in 4 minutes. I don’t see how you think it is a balanced add-on. It’s overkill.

If Iridescent Head applied instadowns farther than a certain distance (she would be able to keep all five hatchets) or trumped all other add-ons than sure it would be balanced.

Dude your explanation was "You can’t play against Iridescent Head when the Huntress is revving your back and hitting one shot hatchets at melee range" and I ask you, why you say thats too much, but other killers in melee are lethal too? How does that make sense?

"A good Huntress will not miss her shot in a melee range." So you do need skill and practise with it. Its odd, first you say skilled huntress players dont use it, then you say you need to be a good huntress player to use it. Could you please try to stick to one point. It gets really confusing what you mean.

"80% of the Huntresses that use Iridescent Head pair it with a mori and kill the team in 4 minutes." thats just fake news.

"I don’t see how you think it is a balanced add-on. It’s overkill." . Imo iri heads are really strong and deserve to be an ultra rare. Its balanced in terms of effect, rareness, player skill involved and also has a downside.

I dont understand why you want to nerf an addon thats rarely used and if used, not by good huntress players like you said.

  • @MegMain98 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1011451#Comment_1011451

You can’t play against Iridescent Head when the Huntress is revving your back and hitting one shot hatchets at melee range. I only see bad Huntresses use it. Players who are good at Huntress don’t need it.

You claim that playing against Iridescent Head would make survivors more skillful but it requires zero skill from the Huntress. It’s just a super cheap one shot.

Iridescent Head either needs to only apply instadown from further than a certain distance (24 meters) to promote long range shots from Huntress which is actually the fun skillful part of playing Huntress, not back revving and instadowning at melee range. Or it needs to not stack with other add-ons so Huntress only has one hatchet.

So a hillbilly, tier 3 myers, bubba need to be nerfed too because they are lethal in melee range without addons?

1 2 3 4 5 6 … 12
