  • I have quite a few hours in and only have like 70 posts on this forums, he is over 2x that. unless he spends more time on the forums then playing the game he has similar hours and is not a new player

Is nothing against the perk, is annoying but totally counterable.

But I just know that 8 out of 10 games, the killer is gonna be running ruin, like seriously? Don't you wanna try anything new from time to time. I gets boring to know already that you are gonna face that perk, something similar with bbq and chilli, but not as much as ruin.

until something is done about gen time or just how quick the objective is completed then ruin will be needed for every killer,

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wF7lTKuRwV8

this is an example of ruin not stopping a group of survivors doing 3 gens in under 2 min, it is not like he was ran around for a long time. and as his comment states "Regarding gen speed in this game. It took 45 seconds chase to down the first person once hooked 3 gens were done. As killer you need around 10 to 12 hooks to pip at red ranks and after 1 hook with 9 - 11 more to go (7% - 10% what the killer needs) more then 60% of the game was over for survivor. Imo the gen speed is not fine. In conclusion 66% of the game was completed on survivors side in the time it took killer to get 7%."

and this is WITH RUIN, imagine without ruin and all toolboxes? (this is a worst case scenario but it can happen) the game would take less time than it takes to get a lobby and load into the game, is that fun? the entire objective either needs to be reworked (survivor side) if you don't want gen timers to just be increased for balance. either gen times need to be increased across the board, ruin get a BIG BUFF/totems in general OR rework the objective overall so it cant be easily rushed like this.

UNTIL THEN ruin may be annoying but imagine how killers feel if they don't run ruin and something like this happens, they feel helpless, not just ANNOYED. that no matter what you did you could not of stopped this from happening and that you where punished for just playing the game.

  • if only there was a way you could DENY her EVER GETTING IT (unless she uses certain addons) O WAIT YOU CAN BY NOT CLEANSING. stop your crying you survivor rank 20 main

  • reminds me of another interaction like on how PLAGUE makes medkits, self care, we'll make it etc all USELESS. it is fine, it is a fun interaction that changes up the gameplay

  • any killer list with trapper at A tier is just joke tbh

  • and people wonder why we use E mories when we think it is a SWF, and why if a killer thinks the lobby is SWF they either dodge or put on the heavy sweat addons

  • the new map sucks for spirit players and just anyone who actually uses sound as killer, with the heartbeat from the portal playing for most of the map, and the mice in the hooks squeking non stop it ON TOP OF the already obnoxiously loud chase music (that should just be outright removed for killers) makes it near IMPOSSIBLE to locate injured survivors, especially since it is a map with multiple floors

  • I have had this same problem, to fix it I just checked the integrity of the game files with the steam option under game properties and it fixed it, hope this helps

  • leather face is not really good except for basement protecting, other than that he is useful for his teachable of BBQ and chili for BP and aura reading, other than that play spirit, nurse, etc or you will have a hard time in the lower/higher ranks (the higher skilled players one, it is technically the low ranks but Im not sure what term to use for them since everything is opposite)

  • the servers are not good enough to be launched, if they where it would be more of a negative than a positive in its current state, much more testing and fixing is gonna be needed before dedicated servers will be good enough to launch

Does he make a video every time he gets gen rushed? No hate to Tru3, his content is enjoyable but he really does complain a lot.

no he takes his Vod from streaming and turns every game, no matter how it goes into individual videos for his youtube channel and he actually puts effort into titling them instead of 9/9/19 game 1 then game 2 etc etc, he actually makes a thumbnail and title name for the game. and he complains about the errors in the game and the faults of balance, like how some people do just want this to be a bully the killer simulator and that gen rushing is a bit of a problem, in this game it is very obvious that he is the superior player to these survivors but he cant get much done due to gen speed, and the killer he was playing. and before you say "just don't play clown" he had to due to his way of streaming where you give him 10$ and you can give him any build on any killer and he shows it off in red ranks

Ever since EGC has started we no longer need to worry about the first two gens popping. We also have enough anti gen perks currently in the game before the release of Stranger Things too accommodate these issues.

If you know the average pathing of a survivor plus the locations survivors typically spawn you can get your first down within 30 to 40 seconds of the game. If your a faster killer at obtaining downs like Nurse, Billy, Huntress, Spirit, Leatherface, Ghostface you can have a down within the first 15 seconds of the game.

If you prefer to chase a survivor over kicking a gen that's not the fault of the game it's YOURS. Even if they run away you have scratches/blood to follow. Even if they sneak away you have common sense on locations they would hide in or at.

Typically survivors spawn in multiples on locations as well. So you can figure out which survivors the looper and which survivors bad at it from the reaction if you drop down on them immediately.

Are you saying you have been playing this game at high rank for x amount of hours and never had your ruin pop within seconds of the game starting and gotten a 4k? If that's honestly the case then the problem is not the game or the survivors it happens to be you.

get a down in the first 30 or 40 seconds? WHAT A PIPE DREAM, unless you are a GODLY nurse or the survivor is braindead, you are not getting that down in only 30 seconds any half decent survivor will live longer than that.

It's still very manageable. Once they throw a pallet, they have two options:

    1. Immediately run to the next one.
    2. Stay and force the killer to break it.

If it's the former, you're more than likely going to get a hit as long as the pallet's even remotely unsafe. You'll also get rid of pallets incredibly fast if they're playing like that, letting you snowball in the late game.

If it's the latter, go around to the other side before breaking it. This is called zoning. You're forcing them to run back to the area that they came from (where they already used pallets) or run past you to get to another (another easy hit).

Doing so, you can get a down pretty early on with any killer.

Of course, none of this is applicable to the Nurse. All the Nurse has to do is blink and hit them.

which he was omega blink nurse that eventually turned around the whole game only because the claude was using plunderers and wanted the basement box, allowing him to get 2 basement hooks, and the claud then messed up again trying to heal in the basement after being unhooked which allowed him to mori him, pretty much if it was ANY KILLER OTHER THAN Omegablink nurse AND a mori, he would of lost the game. that is the point I am making. he literally had to use the most OP combo possible in the game to win this game and it was mainly because of 1 hook + mori + Dc's.

  • @Might_Oakk said:

He is playing Nurse and found the first survivor at :30s and didn't down them until 1:45.

If it takes you 75sec to down a survivor with nurse you're gonna have a bad time.

Don't be like Tru3 just accept it when you get outplayed and don't say ridiculous stuff like ' I just vs better survivors then everyone else'

he says constantly about when he gets outplayed by complementing what survivors do, and his "I just vs better survivors" is not without supported proof, he gave an example of JUST BEFORE THAT GAME, 1st gen took 5 min and it was a legion. here? 1st gen done in 54 seconds. I think that's a bit of a difference

Do you realize that MANY others can do the same thing as him? He does not understand balance well. He's very cocky so when he loses he has to blame something to maintain his ego. Remember this is the guy that said "I just face better survivors for some reason." If you enjoy him watch him though. Some content creators are good for talking about balance but there are some that play the game well but sometimes that skill goes over your head and you think that if you lose it must be because survivors OP.

he does not make the statement of "I just face better survivors for some reason." lightly, he even gave an example how just the game before that 1 gen took 5 minutes to be completed in a game against the legion, this game 1 gen is done before the 1min mark and just over the 2min mark 3 gens are done. seems like a BIG difference between those 2 games

Well I am tracking 100 solo survivor games at rank 1.

I played 15 games last night, and the average game time was 19 minutes long.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Fmwuhlmag8s32myoqtKQvCxneF5WNWhRvE4bz6pWfRQ/edit?usp=sharing

Also, 13/15 Killers used Ruin making it by far the most used perk across the board.

just proves how REQUIRED it is, without it you don't got enough time to put enough map pressure on to win

5 minute game for 4 Kills. Shows how broken Nurse is.

her addons not the nurse itself, the omega blink addons + mori is the only reason why he won this. any other killer with any other perks with any addons etc, would of lost this game. BHVR even said they will be looking at nurses addons. but base game nurse is NOT broken. addons break her

You're listening to a guy who literally got a mori off, a hook, and 2 dcs. This is your god?

im not saying he is my god this is just him playing a game that was recorded to show as proof that this is a problem, he only won because he was OMEGA BLINK NURSE, with a mori and they had 1 person on their survivor team wasting time getting basement chest and dieing for it. imagine if he was a regular billy or some other killer without a mori, he only won because it was omega blink nurse with a mori. anything else and it would of been a 4man escape without anything he could of done to stop it

  • @Mochan said:

    No it doesn't.

Streamers don't know ######### about this game, they are an elite .00001% that don't really understand the game the way the majority of the people play it, they only understand their own tiny niche in it.

Stop listening to YouTubers like Gods they don't deserve your worship.

this guy has been playing since day 1 pretty much and has maintained red rank status on both survivor and killer, he is even able to make M1 killers able to get 4k's in red ranks because he understands mind games and how this game is played. As well as he understands balance better than most people, he even asks for your opinions on balance while constantly using different killers and builds at red ranks as killer to see what is viable and what is not, what works what doesn't

  • @derperson said:

    needs map pressure

1st gen is done under 1 min, (54 seconds in) he gets the first hit in under 30 seconds as nurse and he only lost the first guy because he had 1 mess up due to using omega blink and not warmed up, 1st down was 1:45 in. gens 2 and 3 pop at 2:19 (85 seconds since 1st gen pop) small messup overall at the start but you should not be punished that hard for it, survivors aren't. ALSO that is with that 1 claud going into the basement constantly for the basement chest and not doing a gen.

  • there is plenty of penalties, during the time from 1st hook to dead many gens can get popped, the killer loses points for ranking up, and it is just boring. it really only works on altruistic groups. make sure if you are being chased by the killer near a hook, here is some advice RUN HIM AWAY FROM THE HOOK, by looping him near the hook you are letting him camp while getting the potential of another down, and since he is chasing someone he wont lose rank points while near the hook. the only time I ever "camp" as killer is when I 100% know there is people around waiting for the save and they are being Altruistic. why? because I read the survivors and start using a strategy that then counters them so I can win the game, but if I cant find anyone near the hook I will leave, because getting someone 1 hooked gives you a lot less BP than hooking someone 3 times

Yeah I can see that NOED is fine against survivors like this.

But is NOED fair against poor helpless solo queue survivors? Ask yourself that

how do you tell the difference in the pre game tho? until there is a solution solo Q survivors will be caught in the crossfire

  • For builds, i run

    BBQ

    Thano

    Pop

    Ruin

early game you want to spread your disease as much as possible as quick as possible, as you patrol gens make sure to puke on them, you only need to charge the bar partially for this and when you find a survivor just puke on them to get them sick and then go to find the next survivor. If you are gonna just focus on the first survivor you find then you don't want to M1 you want to keep throwing up on him until he is broken, that way they wont get speed boost and when someone rescues him from the hook the rescuer will get sick, someone getting rescued when they are not broken will NOT pass the disease, if you are having a hard time just puking on a survivor due to map geometry, try puking on the pallet/window and force them to use it. if you do hook someone who is not even been puked on you can get them sick by puking at the base of the hook. If the team is cleansers you want to save up 3-4 pools then start using them if you find a good situation so that you can chain use them, if you are in a 3 gen scenario use the corruption from all the pools around the 3 gens and don't use the corruption from any others, then puke on the gens and in the end everyone will be broken without the ability to cleanse because it is a 3 gen scenario with the healing fountains in the middle making it to risky for them. Do remember that if ALL fountains are used then they will all be cleansed and you will only get 1 use of corruption.

  • if these changes are implemented then survivors and gens will both need HEAVY NERFING, probably less pallets, gens taking longer if not adding a 6th gen that needs to be done, maybe just baseline increasing all killers speed, removing infinites from maps. there is a problem with SWF that it breaks the game, SWF gives information to other survivors that they otherwise WOULD NOT HAVE, that is the problem with SWF. What you basically did was list alot of the perks of SWF, but this game was balanced WITHOUT THESE FOR A REASON. so if these changes are implemented then a lot of survivor nerfs and a lot of killer buffs will be needed to compensate for this new information given to survivors

  • if this is implemented then killers will need a speed buff or some other large buff while also having gen time be nerfed, the problem with SWF is that they currently give this info, it is one of the problems with SWF, so basically you are giving everyone who is not SWF some of the power of SWF when it is known that SWF is a problem, very bad idea

  • he is not red ranked viable. he is still a pure M1 killer, plague borders on this but has synergy with thanatophobia to slow the game down apart from ruin and when all are infected is basically everyone being perma exposed as well as people cant hide, while if they cleanse you cant loop her without getting hit by the damage spit, but early game where she is going around infecting people you can just gen rush enough to where she can't really recover and she will still lose, so overall spirit nurse are still top tier and always viable even without addons and billy/plague are under them where addons help them to be viable but in the end can still be brought down by an entire group of survivors being good, huntress I would say is also in that boat because you can dodge hatchets pretty easily overall most of the time and her slow movement speed makes her susceptible to a lot of loops when she is out of hatchets

  • before bloodlust goes away every map every loop and totems spots on every map will need to be fixed until then bloodlust is NEEDED, heck even some nerfs to gens would probably be needed to before bloodlust is gone

  • @CoffengMin said:

stop being a drama queen , his nerfs werent that big

he is a combination of the worst parts of pig and Michael myers, the nerfs were big especially increasing the revealing size for survivors to make it even easier for him to get broken out, he is pretty much D teir JUST BARELY above old freddy

  • GF is already bad enough and his power is already crap, let him keep this, one small use out of this power and you are potentially wasteing a roughly 30 second CD on your power to find a survivor + the time it would take to stalk them if they don't break you out or else you are just M1 killing that survivor

  • don't get to invested in new freddy just like ghost face he will be nerfed soon and will be back to where he was pre rework making 2+ years of work on reworking him useless because they will just nerf him to F tier again due to their rank 20 survivor test team for balance

  • I will only give the hatch if I have all 4 stacks of BBQ, they have a DC or I feel like they were pretty much carrying their team while their team did nothing

  • SWF is broken as heck in rank 14 games i have had to go against red ranks because of SWF, now I am a rank 7 killer and was able to win the game but I de rank because of the hell that is low ranks after rank 9 where the game can last only 5 min for the survivors but it is stupid that when im in yellow ranks i can get red ranks, they should just take whoever is the lowest rank in a SWF and match them with killers of their skill level

  • as soon as I hit rank 7 with killer I just derank, I went to the hell that is red ranks once and NEVER AGAIN until they balance the game and the killer is the power role NOT survivors

  • yeah the loops like ironworks of misery should VNEER have been made in the first place that is an example of a LONG loop that will waste so much time and if you have a insta heal and dead hard it will be so easy to run a killer through a few gens with that loop

  • well blendetes didn't work gainst me i used Nvidia to change my brightness to where blendetes where useless against me

  • Ghost face is not that strong dude if anything using his powers sometimes can be a detriment, alot of times i have given up a free M1 hit just to try and stalk them more to get that 1 hot, then i get taken out of my power super easily, end up hitting them and i lose all the stalk progress, also you need to crouch and go in at unexpected angles or people will see you coming and just run, thatt requires you to crouch and basically go the long way around to try and find a angle on the survivors or they will probably just here you if you just walk to the gen, all this requires time then add on top of that the time it takes to stalk them then chase them and you are wasting more time on GF then just using another M1 killer. his power needs to be buffed to make it worth spending that time to get an angle and stalking them for that one hit. i think they should make his power permanent or after getting a complete stalk on someone he gets a small speed buff to help catch his target

  • i have seen red ranks go against rank 16 killers because of SWF, they should make it to where you are matched with killers depending on who is the lowest ranked person in the party, that way if it is a rank 4 and 3 rank 20's they get a rank 4 killer. either that or remove SWF entirely or put a penalty on it like -25% gen repair speed to each person in the SWF/ increasing penalties depending on how many are in the SWF group, like 2 people is -10% repair speed each person, 3 man is 15% and 4 man is 20/25%

  • I have made a suggestion to do a small rework on hex totems, it would involve things like this

The hex totems do not empower a dull totem until their perk comes into effect, here is an example with Devour Hope the totem itself will not be cleansable until it gets to 2 tokens because that is when the perk starts having an effect, for also hex ruin will not light up a totem till someone gets a skill check on a generator. also another one is that once a hex totem is cleansed make the hex that was removed respawn in X amount of time say 30 seconds, but if it is a token perk like Devour hope it will take away 1 token inorder to become active again and power up a new totem, now numbers and specific interactions would of course be changed and such say for a hex to respawn with tokens only takes 30 seconds while something like hex ruin would take 1min or something would of course need to be tested, this would encourage the survivors to cleanse all totems, be a indirect nerf to NOED but be a borderline buff overall to all hex perks, along with improving totem spawning locations and it would help the game alot

  • don't tell anyone this but you can make up for the traps small radius by abusing a trapper bug where you can put the trap into the floor where the stairs meets a flat surface, just need to move around a bit on the stairs and aim the trap and you will see what I mean, works well with basement games

  • is this some out of season april fools joke?

  • @prettyf said:

hex positions are already fine it fixed recently

current totem positions are looks like 2-3 each tiles

if there increase of its hidden spaces it become too random for survivors

also i always expected my ruin keep til 1down and its fine cause

finding hex is also more time for killer

1 hex positions are not fine there is times where a survivor will spawn 5 feet from it, or it spawns literally IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, and I mean this as in it is the totem only, no walls or anything to hide it just in the open easily seen from far away

the totems SHOULD BE VERY RANDOM to make it difficult for survivors because they cleanse the totem then you are down 1 whole perk for the rest of the game and some totems don't even take effect immediately like Devour hope, it can get destroyed without even having 1 token on it

the point of ruin is to buy the killer more time because currently unless you are a god nurse there is not enough time In matches to effectively chase and down survivors, heck ruin might not even buy you much time at all because some people just power through it with great skill checks and gen tapping, but yet finding the totem is more time for killers but ONE WHOLE PERK for maybe 1 or 2 min most of the time is not getting your value from the perk

it is clear you are a survivor main and does not know how bad the totem spots are

  • I play killer and the rate I find the new event offering for BP's is EVERYWHERE I get at least 1 per web and sometimes 2 or 3, not sure why it is different for survivors but for killers I am overflowing with them, with freddy I still got 25 after using them non stop after I leveled him to 50, overall I think I gotten like 40+ cakes from freddies web alone while using them constantly, atm I have 22 since im using it every game

  • if you think that killers are broken/uncounterable/unbeatable then you must be a rank 20 survivor easily, many games are the killers getting BULLIED BY THE SURVIVORS. the killer is the OP strong class? HA the survivors, the PEOPLE MEANT TO DIE are the ones that pick and bully on the KILLER. kinda ironic

  • the nerf was heavily needed, 3 hits is NOTHING, when things like self care and insta heals are a thing. there was no working for such a strong perk other than playing the game, all other perks require you to work for them usually in some kind of way or they are not impactful perks, like decisive you needed to be unhooked and picked up within x time for decisive. for self care it requires you to get hit then get away from the killer, adrenaline requires all the gens to be done. other perks cause exhaustion which means that the perk cannot be used again for a while. this was a OP and broken perk

  • not sure about you but in the time it took me to level up freddy 50 levels I had gotten over 30+

  • @gantes said:

Huntress Lullaby, for example, would only notify the survivors of its existance after someone gets hooked, and would only be assigned to a totem after that.

Devour Hope would only be assigned to a totem after 2 stacks. The survivors would only know it's there when someone gets downed after 3 stacks, as it is right now.

The only perk that would considerably change would be Haunted Ground, which would only be able to be proc'ed after 60 seconds of a game, which I don't even consider a nerf TBH. It would pretty much ensure the perk never pops during the early game when you have no idea where no one is.

what about hex ruin? this change wont do ANYTHING for hex ruin, if anything it will light up a totem when someone starts a gen, and that can be much worse because you can start a gen and since a lot of totems are near gens instantly see the totem light up and than your totem is gone in 6 seconds

There's no way of knowing for sure until the devs implement a marker for SWF groups in the tally screen.
