Well considering i've had JUST the nurse alone in 1/3 games out of ALL games played today it's very justifiable. And yes, it actually would help because pre-nerf I did stand a chance against the nurse.

What do you mean "I don't have the spine to be honest"? Have you SEEN the state of the game right now?? It's kill fest season with hardly any counters against killers. How can a killer camp a hook and get 4 +2's yet for a survivor they have to shead an arm and a limb just to get +2 in all categories?

Against PC killers Boil Over has 0 effect at all and unless you've got at least 1 survivor helping you get off the grasp of the killer (even with boil over) you still have no chance at all. It feels like it has the same chance of getting off the hook without using deliverance, which again makes it a useless perk in its current state.

The worst part is that you include DH into this and you know it was only used for getting distance without any Form of counter. You think you need it to counter nurse fair enough nurs is Bs I already acknowledged that but there are still other killer then nurse do you think it's fair for them to face busted perks because nurse is busted?

Or do you think then bhvr should buff every killer to nurse level? Advocate for fair nurse changes that make her more fair but don't destroy her that way everyone will support your ideas except Stück up nurse onetricks but that's them. If you want busted perks because of nurse every killer that plays the weaker ones will be against it and feel attacked because that's what you do

  • Sure I can see that. But maybe then give it a bonus that works over the course of the match so you don't have this situation where it feels stupid to have only three perks all game and then the fourth don't work because you are to good. Could lead to the perk dying out wich is never nice

  • That is actually a option I can understand. When people want that for killers we always say it will get abuse because you would block all got player in you mmr bracket but when you apply it on team mates it makes sense. No one would block a really good player for being good so only people that act like jerks would get blocked wich is fair

    Hello guys,

imagine a common situation: all 5 generators are activated, all 4 survivors alive. From now on it gets interesting: Killer catches one survivor and face-camp him (with noed totem), all 3 survivors escape, the hooked surv gets extra points vor all 3 escaped survivors.

What are you thinking about this ? May be you have additional benefits to propose here.

And why exactly should that happen? Honest question because I don't see anything wrong here. Bhvr refuses to actually treat survivor as a team so no one is obligated to risk there escape for you and the the endgame is one of the very few times it's 100% OK to camp. It's just bad luck you got cached

    And?

There are NO counters to a good nurse, you see dev's implementing any changes to her? No.

And those perks would not save you a bit against a nurse you can't counter without them. But do you actually know there are other killer then nurse in this game?

I love how people like you want busted perks back and try to defend that quite insane demand with "OH but nurs iS bUsTeD" yeah she is that's a whole other problem you don't want them back to fight nurse you want them back to bullie weaker killers with it and you don't have the spine to atleast be honest

I'm ok with Legion when they're not running Thana, Sloppy or one of the ridiculous perks combos like that. Can actually be a little fun if you have teammates that know you don't group up. Best tactic I've found against Legions is to just keep moving. Make em run the whole map. If somebody gets deep wounds and you hear the TR, run the opposite way to pull em from the team. Never fully commit to 1 gen...keep em guessin. I've had more than a few Legions dc cuz I make it a pain in the ass for em to run me down. It's kinda like a chess match. You gotta anticipate their patterns before they know what their plan is... most Legions I've come across get really bad tunnel vision and you can use that against em.

Legion needs a good amount of slowdown to really make that hit and run shine. His own slowdown only works to a certain degree but I have to admit full slowdown build is just ridiculous as it is on any killer. I personally only used thana on them and when it got nerfed so hard and Eruption got buffed I switched to that. One slowdown perk it normally enough so I can use three chase or info perks

  • If you want to have fun fair enough ask bhvr for a event only q. Let people who are not interested in the event play like they always do. You can't force anyone to joke around and enjoy the event when all they want is to play dbd

Depending on what that feedback is, it can count as crying.

Especially if it's on easily fixable issues. Don't want to get countered by snowmen? Simply... switch killers.

That attitude should get you banned from any social discussion. You say I should change to a killer I might not enjoy and don't play a killer I paid for and that I enjoy because of a broken mechanic that favors one site

Yeah maybe just a better breakdown of all factors accounted for, but I guess it's easier for them not to show that information because of the negative effect it might have on the playerbase.

The more detailed the better. But they don't want us to now so we can't demand #########. As long as we don't really now stuff they can just say it's not that bad

If you choose not to include them and add SWF data then you just inflate the pretend 40% escape rate for the majority of solo queue players.

Having accurate data based on actually what is happening in game is much more important than having some unrealistic ratio that doesn't actually exist in the real world.

I'm pretty sure most solo players would be happy with escaping 35-40% of the time but sadly that's not what's happening for most players.

Yeah but what do you get from factoring in dc games into the escape rate when it's clear to every one that those game aren't fair. This way you inflate the kill rate and then what? Most players would see the lower escape rate and demand killer nerfs cause they don't care that its from games that could not be won in the first place. A statistic about dc games would be very interesting on its own to see how serious the problem is so the dcs can be fought. If you count them in all you do is basicly punish killers for not letting the survivors farm and escape when there is a dc because when it comes to balance they look at the kill/escape rates

    This.

Honestly it's such a bummer that Steam players that can just change their names get an anonymous mode while us console players are stuck being harassed by others in the community. They should've waited until this feature was available to everyone because it's just frustrating as console player to see yet again PC getting features we have to miss out on.

Nah buddy that's just kindergarten if I can't have it right now nobody can logic.

It's obviously not as easy to implement on console but there is no reason then don't give it out for PC when it's easier there

  • I mean i think it is way to strong but I kinda like your passive aggressive comparison at the beginning because technically no survivor can argue against that point

  • @Rovend said:

Funny enough, i feel the exact opposite while playing against Eruption as a soloQ player.

I feel a lot more stressed trying to fix the last 2 gens, i obviously cant goof around for a minute or i would be throwing and i HAVE to go 100% if i dont want the game to last 30 min out of one overtuned perk.

That is sad to hear that's exactly how I felt more and more in Dbd until eruption made it better for me but I obviously don't want you to suffer only so I can have fun.

I don't want to defend eruption one bit I wanted to point out that what eruption provides makes the game much more enjoyable for me so I think the devs should go on and try to make the game more fun and less stress for every player no matter if killer or survivor. The people who want to sweat will do it anyway and if bhvr would make a actually good matchmaking and mmr people who sweat would only ever face other sweats. That's why I realized swf isn't a problem at all but matchmaking is

  • @RaSavage42 said:

    So just Eruption?

I'm actually curious... I'm sorry if this come off wrong (I don't mean it)

If that's true that's cool... good for you!!!

Yeah just Eruption. I don't run other slowdown perks I even stopped with thana on my legion cause I don't like the nerfed thana. I don't even know what it is we had strong anti Gen perks before and we have other strong anti Gen perks now I would even say we have other perks that are just as strong as eruption wich makes a full slowdown build so oppressive.

Considering BHVR gutted Reassurance to ensure camping would remain viable, I think it's safe to say they don't care at all about how things feel to play.

    100% true

  • @The_Krapper said:

See there is a downside to all that though, if they throw a bunch of pallets in a short amount of time they just created a big deadzone and you can switch chase and pressure someone else and then they all start to fall like a stack of cards because there's no safety, knowing when to leave a chase and pressure gens after making them waste a couple pallets is important and if you play your cards right you can force them to create that deadzone alot quicker than you'd think

I mean your are right but does it feel good? I would compare it to just pre dropping and holding w it works and is the right call but does it feel good to play?

If one of your teammates gets tunneled out with 3 or 4 gens up, there’s no point in playing anymore. You can find a new lobby in 2 secs as a survivor so why bother staying in the match?

The killer doesn’t care about your fun and only wants a 4k so why not let them have it while you’re in a more fun and balanced match?

What’s funny is that most killer start going easy on the survivors once they’ve tunneled someone out at 5 gens, like the remaining survivors are enjoying the match and want it to last as long as possible

Hinest question. Do you care for the killers fun when you play?

The amount of piggies that don't want their snoot booped anymore makes me sad.

I mean you have to take into account the amount off people that just pick piggy cause they are saw fans and don't even know about booing

  • I don't get that they are preying on a vulnerable demographic that has no impulse control. If you have bad Impulse control like I do and you see that you start to have a problem with a certain game or something like this you need to either hold it together or just don't play it. You know why I stopped with genshin because I am a sucker for gatcha and when I saw I was putting more and more money into it I quit. Is it easy to do it and does it need training? Sure it does but that's a thing you need to do for yourself and you can't just put that burden onto other people and say stop doing business cause I can't control myself.

Maybe bhvr just needs to try another method of getting money or the share holders will cancel the game would not be the first time something like this happens.

The main thing I don't get with this is you guys don't Tage on a bar selling beer when recovering alcoholics exist. You say dude don't go there. If a new bar opens in your street you can't just say no leave me alone you either live with it or go

I like creativity with the new status effect. Personally, I would rather the exit gate regression effect be an added effect of the Remember Me perk.

My problem with current NOED is that it is an endgame perk, but is not earned like other endgame perks, and gives a strong effect for something unearned throughout the trial. My idea for a rework involves Scourge Hooks:

Scourge Hook: No One Escapes Death

    • At the start of the trial, 4 random hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks
    • The auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white
    • When a survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook for the first time before the exit gates are powered, the following effects apply:
    • When the exit gates are powered, the survivor's aura will be revealed for 4 seconds, and the survivor will suffer from the exposed status effect for 40/50/60 seconds

This way, only survivors that have been previously hooked on Scourge Hooks will be exposed during the endgame as the killer would have earned that before the exit gates were powered.

I don't get where the you have to earn it aspect comes from. Survivor have endgame perks to that don't need to be earned like adre or sole survivor

  • Because bhvr simply forgot to make him good at anything else

  • @Gandor said:

No. It has activation condition (need to do 50% of gen to activate it). Also it activates on single gen. I thought that's clear from what I have written.

Basically it has same principle - revert huge buff if someone applies it on that single instance but leave all the other instances intact. It's the same principle as killer wanting to have 1 perk that negates entire suite of survivor perks. Same principle. Same risks involved.

Also what is wrong with stressing that it's actual survivors that are loosing way more then killers? And why should I not use same principle of perk buff that stronger role already asks to have? It's simply just about balance. If you add something to one side, it's only natural someone else would want to have same stuff on the other side.

Why you shouldn't apply the same principle killers asked for?

Because you don't do it. You take a idea that focuses about turning the boon effect around and apply it to gens. Two completely different things that argument would have worked if you either proposed a idea where you turn around a hex effect or if someone had made the idea to make a perk that turn unhooking or even healing around. Cause that's killer objective like gens are survivor objective.

Boons are side hustle that give positive effects but aren't necessari for winning the game just like a hex

  • @Gandor said:

FOV is one of tools survivors have to get away from killer.

What will be next? Remove windows a d pallets, because otherwise I can't catch survivor quick enough?

But most people that want a fov slider don't want it for advantage reasons but because they suffer from motionsickness and basicly need to run shadowborn to play wich is not ok

  • I mean bad ping is a big problem but from what I learned it's good that we don't see it anymore.

Would you under any circumstances stay in a lobby with a killer with bad ping? No of course not and I wouldn't to. The problem is we have many players that can't have a good ping because bhvr doesn't give them there own servers so they only can connect to one far away. These players effectively would sit in search for ever cause everyone would dodge them.

Slender feminine males - We get Dwight for free already

Big buff females - Maybe not BIG, but certainly look like they could throw a punch are Meg and Nea. They could get a muscle cosmetic.

But yeah, let's see some variety in survivor builds like we see for killers

I mean he certainly is a Slender dude but I would not see him as feminine

  • I heard that a few times from people that got very tired of trying for the achievement but that was more frustration then a serious opinion

  • I know what you mean but I woulnd call it fear but playing killer gives me definitely more stress baseline and and I can't play to much games in a row because of that. I don't have that with survivor and I never had that with any other game except for maybe carrying the flag on wow pvp and being hunted but that's like 2 minutes at max but playing killer is like that all game every game

I wish no ill will towards yourself and hope you have a great day.

I find it funny how you speak of toxicity in dead by daylight Because of players spamming a button but both you and op want to either spit on players or wish harm upon them. The mental gymnastics you must be doing right now to come to the conclusion that you're in the right here must be Olympic levels.

It's a hard stretch to think it's a perk to spit in survivors when all it does is countering tbagging but Okey.

I don't wish you harm I wish you to stub your toe wich I wish for everyone saying they like to bleed out people

And it's actually nothing serious. It's a quite common thing to say where I am from when you have a disagreement with someone it's not even something you actually wish it's more like urggh I'm annoyed we can't come to terms here. (sorry don't know how to discribe it better in englisch)

I hope you don't actually think I want you any harm

I am a fantastic killer, thank you 🥰 gunna go tbag some survivor as ghostie now while I bleed them out for 4 minutes. 🫡

Yeah ur definitely a person I wish they hit there toe next time they get up

What has running a perk got to do with ego? Most of the survivors I Vs are dead before the exit gates are powered so I'd get no use out of it anyway.

"so I have to walk all the way to the gate" my guy, you're acting like it's time consuming to hold W for 15 seconds in a direction as opposed to waiting 2 whole minutes, you guys sure are dramatic.

Sure sugar boy congrats on being a beast of a killer.

You know who are the only people that are against a change or make fun of a change that does nothing but eliminating something that gets used to be toxic? People that do it

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3285945#Comment_3285945

thankfully my ego isn't as fragile as most on this forums so it doesn't upset me at all.

It's not even about getting upset or not it's showing the guys that do it to taunt that it works cause the killer comes they can show of there little brain dead dance and so they will continue and others will see it and start doing it so I have to walk all the way to the gate just to get out of a game that is already finished.

And since your ego isn't so fragile you should have no problem with that perk idea cause you would never do such a thing and even if you would do that your ego would take no dmg from getting killed by that perk right?

  • @Seanzu said:

I have a better counter and it doesn't even use a perk slot.

As a killer you can hold W towards the exit gate and it magically makes the survivors leave, I know I know, sharing this secret is grounds for execution.

In other word giving the survivor exactly what they want and why they do it great idea

  • Sure why not and we already have the streamer mode so they can protect themself bhvr should just do what you said and make it so you can see the name after the game for prome reasons

  • @WesCravenFan said:

Because Survivor mains believe Killers exist to entertain them. You are supposed to let them feel the thrill of the chase for THEIR fun, and if you happen to down one you need to let them off the hook. Oh, and no going after the same person twice in a row.

    Tunnelling? Scumbag killer.

    Camping? Scumbag killer.

Regression perks so you don't lose all your gens in 2 minutes of chase time? Scumbag killer.

Literally ANYTHING that doesn't let a Survivor get chased for long periods of time = bad.

    This.

I love to play Ghostface and go only for sneaky stalk hits and I simply don't chase. If they see me before I can get a quick one shot down I look for another one. And I can tell you I get called all sorts of things because apparently I have to chase because being chased is fun and I have to provide that fun

  • @daniel_owenz said:

The Knight has an add on apparantly that blocks exit gates if someone is being "chased" by one of their spawns lol. We all know that survivors like to take a victory lap at the gate when it is opened, crossing it only when the killer shows up.

NOW apparantly you can't do that vs knight because they have an add on that NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT EXCEPT people who bought that character or who play this game all day. So new players, or players who haven't gone against knights with that specific add on and read it, will know about it, but if they launch their green ball spawn at the gate and it "chases" you, you can't cross the gate apparantly it blocks it, which is a PERK.

What the ######### are we doing with this game, add ons needt o BOOST abilities, not give killers extra perks, blocking the gate for example is a perk, an add on would be to extend the length of the spawns chase for example, it doesn't give knight an entire new ability. That's just insane, so now apparently we can't wait by the gate when Knight comes around, they gave the Knight an add on that kills the fun in this game, I have cross the gate asap now.

That's a major flaw with this game for new players, there are so many bull ######### perks and add ons and game knowledge that are crucial for knowing and enjoying the game in order to enjoy it in order to counter them or not fall prey to them. This is the kind of game where you have to be negatively impacted by said perk or add on before you learn it, because no one wants to sit here for hours memorizing every ability and add on, that's the downfall of this game.

It's a great idea for a addon and how would you do this even as a perk cause it's tailored to fit the knights ability.

But it has a very awesome and easy counter. Don't stick around when the gates are open. And I don't talk about you waiting around to take a hit or make a safe cause that's participating and that can get you killed that's how it is. I talk about your little victory lap that stupid thing where you wait around the gate just an inch away from the line so you aren't really in any danger at all and you just wait for the killer so you can taunt then. If you do this I would pee my pants watching you get killed even as your fellow survivor. Bhvr should make it a freaking mechanic so you can't leave at all if you stand there for atleast half the endgame timer

  • It's really surprising to see how you guys think about this.

For me it was always how that's worked so I didn't understand the fuzz but that's just my perception.

Sure it's bad for people with bad impulse control I know that my adhd literally kills my impulse control sometimes gues I'm lucky games don't affect me that much.

It's definitely a move to get more people to buy and I don't know how to feel about that since on one hand it's scummy but on the other hand a company needs to make money and technically you you could get everything here for free after buying the game except the license stuff if you wait long enough.

I think it's a difficult matter cause none of use really know what it takes to keep such a company running but now I can definitely see why people are upset especially since they also do this to the old cosmetics

  • Yes give short males give me slender feminin males give me big buff females

  • I think it's like it is right now because we have whole regions where people just have bad ping because they don't have there own servers and need to connect to a server far away. • @Babalonkie said:

Totally inaccurate. People choose to play a video game... not get abused or harassed by a individual... and a individual is not "a video game". It is why most game developers used to mark online play as "Multiplayer/Online activity/gameplay is not rated/monitored", as the game producers are stating that human activity between each other is not within their design of the game and they are trying to partially exempt themselves from criminal proceedings (Although you will rarely see this now as platform owners can now be prosecuted regardless).

If someone intentionally and actively takes a malicious action (Typing, Speaking or physical) outside fixed parameters of a product or service that can cause harm (Physical or emotional) that can cause actual "hurt"... it is a crime (Not even against TOS... a crime). It's why harassment is a crime, malicious communications is a crime, Bullying is a crime and hate speech is a crime (and ALL apply in a video game and a age rating means absolutely nothing in this regard)... it's also why encouraging self harm in ANY WAY OR FORM online is also about to be a crime. Masking behind a joke, meme, "just words" or "anger/stress" means absolutely nothing... and never has... hence why being angry and then committing a crime has never been a defence and has always been a admission of guilt in a court of law or society for centuries. That also applies to the internet and everything/everyone that uses it.

So... playing a video game and typing to or repeatedly targeting another player is no longer "Just a video game" should that person or anyone else actually report it to authorities.

Video games ARE for fun and anything else is secondary/questionable. If someone goes to play a video game and a player breaks the law... that player is the problem... not the victim who plays to have fun via a set made product... or the video game itself... it's the individual breaking a law that is the problem.

Not to mock this or anything just an honest question.

So could it be seen as actuall harrssment when I encounter the same player several times a day which can happen with mmr atm and I target him because I know he is a weak looper and that he has ne exhaustion perks.

I mean he could say it's causing him emotional damage

  • @YOURFRIEND said:

I've seen a few ideas that let survivors react to the perk within half a second or so to let go. I think that's a good direction for it.

I think that would kill the perk. Even a very small window to react would lead to every survivor dodging the effect 100% of the time if they have half a brain cell.

  • Nah nah survivor always say the best part of the game is the chase so no hiding or we can't chase.

I get actually very angry survivor when I play my no chase Ghostface and just go for sneaky stalk hits

Playing in a tournament is very different than just playing a casual game. In a tournament you know you are going against the strongest the other side can bring, you accept that you will be playing against that. In random games you throw dice and hope they land on something you will enjoy.

A tournament is a controlled setting where everyone agrees to what will happen. In a tournament as Survivor you understand that the Killer is likely to be Nurse or Blight and they are very likely going to camp and/or tunnel someone really early to make it a 3v1. You enter into the games with this understanding and have accepted it.

In casual games you go in hoping that the Killer will play fair, they they will not camp or tunnel. What goes on in a tournament and what happens in causal games are not the same and have no bearing on each other.

On the other matter keep playing how you want to play, but do so with the understanding that the way you play is not fun for other people. Be willing to admit "I am having my fun, yours does not matter. I do not care about other people." Own up to that you are being selfish and prioritizing your fun over other people's. Yes there has to be one side that wins and one side that loses but that does mean you have to play in such a way to win that you cause the other side to not have any fun at all. Fun can be had in losing a game, but not if one side goes out of their way to make the game not-fun for the other side.

"people being douchebags isn't specific to dbd it's just how multiplayer games go."

And that is my core problem. People need to not be jerks. People need to stop making things zero sum. Every single problem in the world can be boiled down to "Someone was a jerk to someone else." and if people just stopped being jerks the world would be a much better place. I am never going to stop calling out people for being jerks and asking them to stop being jerks.

I'm not asking people to go out of their way to be part of the solution, I am just asking people to stop being part of the problem.\

We need to remove this mindset of "It's fine to be jerks to people we don't know over the internet." it is toxic and not helpful.

We need to stop the mindset of "That is just how it is in multiplayer games." because acceptance does not lead to change.

Actions need to have consequences, and people need to learn that their actions in a game matter when it comes to the other people those actions affect. Just shrugging our shoulders and saying "That's just how it is" does not help and is actively detrimental to making things better for everyone.

It is not about breaking "rules", it about breaking a social contract that everyone just wants to have a good time and some people just have to be jerks and ruin it for everyone else because they were not raised right and don't care about other people's feelings.

I don't camp and I don't tunnel that's all I owe the survivor community in my mind but you are trying to defend your idea that will be used to punish people for being good and enjoying certain killers by saying I would be selfish and I should be honest and say I don't care about the other Sides FUN and that is just not right. As long as I don't break any rules and even avoid legal tactics that are known for ruining fun I do everything I can to ensure your fun without hindering myself to enjoy the game.

I don't want to put you into that entitled survivor rulebook category because I can see what you really want to achieve because I think your main concern are people that actually play scummy and bhvr should start to work on these problems but in your last two replies you kinda sound like: killers should feel bad if they play anything but trapper without traps and I don't think you should go down to that
