the hindered nerf might be a but much as it’s pretty easy to cleanse and avoid this but overall not unreasonable changes. The killer changes this patch seems pretty fair.

Buffs to bad perks are a good thing but it is more important to address the perks that were a problem than it is to buff bad perks. Perks that are too strong are worse for the game’s health than perks that are too weak, because perks that are too strong become frustrating for the other side to face. Perks that are too weak cause less frustration because you can simply choose not to use them and bring something else instead.
There’s only so much that they can change in each update and every perk that is getting changed in 8.0.0 needed a change. There isn’t a single perk here that was wrongfully nerfed (even if I might not necessarily agree with the specific changes that were made). Hopefully we do get some buffs to weaker perks in the midchapter.
While I agree it’s important to prioritize problematic perks, it’s just gotten the point where over the years fewer and fewer perk are effective at higher levels of play. I just think they should focus a little more of perk balancing as the game has felt stale.

Thats my biggest gripe with this situation, regardless of killer or survivor bias.
I do think Buckle Up was a great change, but that's it. Background Player is still going to be good, maybe better since it's more available now, and a lot of gen defense has been chipped down between these nerfs and the regression limits.
So why aren't we getting buffs to lesser used perks to compensate? I wouldn't run Deadman's Switch on my Sadako if there were better variety and versatility in chase perks or something.
I just wish there was a ratio where they buffed as many perks as they nerfed to keep the game fresh, Buff hex totems if gen slowdown perks gets hit, buff some underused exhaustion perks is one gets hit. Background Player being less impactful means more ppl are just going to equip Lithe & Sprint Burst again. I love making creative builds but majority of them aren’t effective at high mmr levels 😪
-
this change was a nerf, I’m assuming it’s a precaution to Sabo being buffed but I don’t think this was the right decision, this just makes another situational exhaustion perk less impactful imo. Kinda forces players to stick to Sprint Burst & Lithe 🫤
-
my only gripe is when you pick up a survivor completely facing a wall and still somehow getting blinded when nothing but the wall is in your LoS. Other than that blinds are fine

rejoice then cause a hotfix patch just came out a couple hours ago.

DS is an anti-tunnel perk and it punishes killers who don't have the intent to tunnel. You're going out of your way to bait the killer and make them feel bad.
survivors who run Dead Hard have always done the same thing as well. The best counter play for aggressive DS has always been slugging and waiting out the timer or slugging and going after someone else. I’m typically against slugging but you kind of encourage it when you’re bodyblocking with ds or what not.
-
the amount of evil within(stalk) required going from tier 1 to tier 2 should definitely be reduced, tier 2 to tier 3 as well but not as much as the first one. The amount of setup required is very time consuming. Some of his add ons like the stalk movement speed and aura reading ones should also be reworked imo.

I think the opposite should be reverted to be honest.
Make it completely hide grunts of pain, but disable it when exhausted.I wouldn’t mind that if it wasn’t for the fact that you can’t run certain exhaustion perks with it. At least by removing the effect of the perk turning off when exhausted it’s less situational
-
the live patch was the smart move, the rework wasn’t necessary, just needed the long cooldowns reduced to feel more fluid and less clunky. Their kit still kind of encourages slugging but it’s not nearly as bad as it would’ve been with the rework.
-
zombies are still pretty buggy, but when they’re not it’s easily noticeable 😅 Certain maps they get stuck more than others
-
I’d probably put Deathslinger & Clown in B tier and move Hag up to A tier, pretty accurate
-
I prefer indoor maps on both sides as they typically have stronger loops and stealth/trap killers do better on them
-
I can’t take players seriously who rage quit when playing either side. Survivors who ragequit the 1st 60 seconds into a match are a special breed
-
I would like Iron Will to work all the time instead whenever you’re not exhausted. That change was overkill, can’t use it along side Sprint Burst anymore 😕
-
horay to no more hug teching!
-
It says March-April so it could still happen 🤷♂️
-
He needs an add-on that adds an additional zombie in the trial for the memes.
-
Twins, I love running around with Victor on my shoulders 😞
-
Her pickrate has definitely taken a nose dive since her add-on nerfs. Blight has kinda taken her crown as the strongest killer in the game imo.

@Feneroe said:
Corrupt Intervention is still good, especially on setup killers.
^^^ it helps hag out a lot as her biggest weakness is that she takes awhile to setup at the start of a match.
it’s just one of those perks that certain killers get more value out of than others. Kind of like how Doctor and Wesker get a lot of value from Distressing.
-
Killers have gotten so many aura, reading, perks, and abilities over the recent years. On top of that Iron Will got the most unjust heavy-handed nerf ever. It’s just gotten worse over the years and I guess the devs don’t like that playstyle since they nerf it.
-
It really doesn’t help that after all these years, we only have two perks that help with anti-tunneling(DS & OTR).
-
The invocation perk doesn’t feel very incentivizing to use, especially when you get no bloodpoints for risking all that time in the basement. It should give objective based bloodpoints.
-
Swamp Map still has yet to get a graphical rework so it should be next
-
Hag
Add-ons:
Scarred Hand + Waterlogged Shoe
Perks:
Corrupt Intervention, Sloppy Butcher, Rapid Brutality, STBFL
Any Indoor Map Offering.
Very fun & very evil. 😁

It might be an unpopular opinion, but I don't think Deathslinger really needed a nerf.
Zoning with ADS or not, I never considered him unbalanced or overpowered. I could escape from him just fine back in Rank 1.
He never did need one, Huntress was better than him in every way and less punishing, even more so now after the nerfs.

@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
Because DS is garbage and waste of perk slot. It's 3 seconds stun and 1,2 seconds is animation. So you have only 1,8 seconds to make distance which is pretty bad
This ^^^.
it's not worth choosing this over something like off the record which protects you for over a minute after you're unhooked and then some
-
5 seconds stun again. Maybe instead of it turning off when the last gen is powered up make it turn off when end game collapse starts.
-
The hug tech bug needs to be fixed but that’s it.
-
Pipping or DePipping I consider winning or losing on either side. 2k as killer I consider a win usually despite not pipping.
-
@Venusa said:
because those are one of the only perks left that are still somewhat viable for survivors that haven't been nerfed or completely gutted
Personally I think they should buff Balance Landing to add more exhaustion perk diversity. No one really uses it unless they bring a map offering for it.
-
I’m hoping Hag’s confirmed changes aren’t too big, she really feels fine atm.
-
Could be worse, Twin rework has been pushed back several times, it’ll quite literally be 2 years since it was first mentioned if it goes through with this set time this spring lol.
-
Only Killer I hate playing against is the Blight but that’s mainly because hug tech unfair.

When was the last time you had someone happy or excited for a Hag match?
Me, especially anytime I have a daily with her.
-
@Grigerbest said:
I hope there will be a BIG changes to Hag's power. Small twicks isn't enough imo.
Maybe even completely reworking her.
"I've no clue why they want to change something about Huntress... It's a killer with one of the most higher pickrates"
respectfully I disagree, the lease amount of changes the better, if hag starts having a high pick rate players will complain and want her nerfed. 😣

Here's what the devs showed for the future
Why does the Twins rework keep getting pushed back?... 😪
-
Bodyblocking, all it does it promote toxicity.
-
Flashbang blinds can still hit you if you look up or down unlike with Flashlights. Easiest way to avoid it is to walk backwards and face the opposite direction of where it was thrown. It’s actually a lot easier to dodge in comparison to flashlights in most situations.
-
I’m guessing IGN messed up seeing as BHVR hasn’t announced it themselves yet 😅
-
Some killers just do better on certain maps. I’m happy that Hawkins is back because I like to play Hag & Stealth Killers who are great on it.

I mean, it depends.
Do you take the dev who created blight and left bhvr before being able to properly adjust blight to then remove it later on down the line although it being intended by him in the mean time or the couple statements mandy has made with no input from any other bhvr individual?
So I understand mandy is more valid in terms of bhvrs stance, McClean is far more valid logically and I have 0 faith that they could/would properly remove the hug tech without creating massive issues with the killer. But hey, there are a lot of individuals on this forum that don't know better and want it removed because something fluid that has interactive counterplay is in the game.
"But it's not intended" yeah, lmao what an argument.
But yeah I guess double speed blight at killer sided filler tiles using the hug tech is pretty strong, but who am I to say that's 100% fine.
I mean again, probably shouldn’t make such claims lol. A community manager wouldn’t say something if it wasn’t the case 🤷♂️
-
Please do not spread misinformation. It’s an unintended bug. As the Devs have already stated.
-
I doubt we’d get a licensed skin for a licensed killer but Imperfect Cell would fit so well with The Xenomorph
-
I don’t see why not, his add-ons are pretty mediocre for the most part. Mother’s Helpers & Black Grease are too situational and should be buffed/reworked as well.
-
My Bill & Hag are both over prestige 60. Always been a huge left 4 dead fan and I enjoy Hag’s Playstyle.

At some point, it's a skill issue.
Distance addons: gone
Recharge reduction addons: gone
Addons in general: gone
You even got her only real way to attack into a special attack ruining every tome challege to hit survivors with your weapon.
All this within the past year or two. Do you even see that many Nurses? I see more people complaining about Wesker.
Unpopular opinion:
Blight has been the strongest killer in the game since they butchered Nurse’s Add-ons.
-
I’m against bug exploits, but if there’s any place where it could be done, it should be on the PTB. That way it can get patched before it goes live.
-
By any chance could we get a peak at the current Killer pickrate data? 👀
