  • Empathy trumps Bond. Bond has a small range, so small in fact that if they are in that range you are likely to see them anyway. Empathy is map-wide. You can see where the action is and avoid it or head for it to help. I use it in place of Self Care because I can also find others to be healed by.

  • Seems like there's a thread on this every other day.

Dead Hard doesn't work half the time so in a sense, if they run it, you have the benefit of that.

DS can be anticipated and waited out.

Iron Will is countered by Stridor.

Adrenaline encourages the survivor to not heal (which can be good for you).

    Etc.

I play TONS of games and you don't see 4 people with the same 4 meta perks every game. You usually see 1 or 2 meta perks per survivor.

You can combat them. Just be prepared to see them and react.

  • Complaining about BHVR (or any company) only showing the rainbow etc. during Pride Month is ridiculous.

Companies can't blast out 400 messages every month if they want the message to get through. They have to pick a theme and stick to it. Aligning with others during Pride Month simply amplifies the message. In fact, because so many companies (and other groups) are doing it at once, there is a higher likelihood that the message will get through than if it were all dispersed throughout the year.

If BHVR (or any company) was trying to celebrate Pride Month every month along with everything else, it wouldn't really be the focus and the message would be muddied. It also doesn't make sense from a resource standpoint because they'd have to have someone creating content for it every month alongside whatever else was the focus that month. If they need to use Pride Month as a reminder to put out something every year to show support, so be it. They are showing support. I don't care if they profit from it.

The presence of an LGBT+ character will be something that can be a year round symbol to those who want to see someone LGBT+ represented and that is a good thing.

For those who think it is overkill or unnecessary, try being marginalized for decades or more. It IS necessary and will continue to be until the world has caught up.

  • OP. I like your post as it aligns with things I've said. However, I do think the only way through this is for BHVR to balance based on skill for survivors and on skill per killer for killer.

Anything outside of that will be impossible given the number of groups we have playing this game:

    • The different rank levels (so that's 4 or 5 groups right there)
    • Newer players
    • Veteran players
    • Casual players
    • Streamers
    • Skilled at killer X but not at killer Y
    • SWF
    • Solo
    • Survivor mains
    • Killer mains
    • Etc.

That's far too many groups to balance around one. Instead we need to find a way to cut across all of them, and I think that's by focusing on skills.

  • No buffs to Legion at all.

He consistently performs well and is obnoxious to play against.

If anything, they need to completely re-do his power so it doesn't involve mending at all. They need to come up with something new (and less obnoxious) to replace it with.

The only tweak she needs is a bigger visual tell when she’s phasing. Nothing crazy, but enough to prevent the stupid “standing still mindgame” at pallets for attentive survivors.

NOTHING else needs to be nerfed. She already has a cooldown on phasing and she’s 110% movement speed.

You've mostly got it. One more change needed -- Stridor should not work on Iron Will.

It's bad enough that we have to run a perk to counter her (Iron Will), but then she can just run another (Stridor) to counter it.

Honestly no killer should require a specific perk to counter. They should be counter-able without. (And don't tell me to mind game, vault, or be stealthy -- that goes for all killers).

Ok but you do realise the reason a lot of killers are complaining about it. Is because survivors instantly throw blame at the killer because he starts camping/tunneling. Just to get a single kill. Yes its on BHVR to fix it. But just remember the consequences of it. The more it happens the more spirit, nurse and freddy is gonna come out. Or just moris. I get flamed so hard if I dont do what survivors want and chase them with 0 gens left. And people get insanely mad that I wont chase them/leave hook when I have someone on the hook when there is like 1 gen left, because they dont get enough points or because they are bored. Thats not on me. Stop blaming me for something that you guys put yourselves in, I dont want to stress to get a few more points or to entertain you. I want to have fun too and there is no fun in a lost game. So I'll camp and tunnel and continue to lose until I get 1 proper match. Sometimes those survivors are potatoes, sometimes they are trolls. But usually they just arent 3-4man swf.

Justify bad behavior however you like. I've got almost 2k hours in this game. For the first few years, when I played survivor, it was exclusively as a solo player. In the past few months, I've started playing SWF when I play survivor. But, I haven't been playing with a consistent team of the same folks each time. I've tried many different combinations of players.

After all of that, guess what's consistent? It's not the number of kills. I don't see consistent 4Ks, consistent 3Ks, 2K, 1K, 0K. It's a mixed bag. Every match is different.

Add to that, I've watched hundreds of hours of YouTube videos and streamers. What's consistent there? It's not the #K. Those are also varied.

So, when a killer player says they keep losing (aka 0K or close to it) because of "gen rush", the only consistent thing is that player playing as killer. That means, they either need to change their build, change their killer, or otherwise improve.

If people were experiencing a significant 0K due to fictional "gen rushing", it would be widespread, it would be the same for everybody. I can tell you with almost 2K hours, it's not consistently that way. It only seems that way because you are playing a killer where that consistently happens.

You can cite the forums that other people are experiencing it, but I can play an entire day (8 to 12 hours) with various players from multiple regions and I don't see that consistency. If it were a widespread problem, I would see it.

What you have is a vocal minority that can't accept that they need to improve something they are doing. Instead, they want to blame fictional gen rushing (the only actual objective in the match that has to be completed). And they want to blame BHVR instead of looking inward at their build or killer.

Flame me all you want. But maybe you should play a whole day as survivor first to see if you see a consistent #K and then complain.

I've also watched hundreds of hours of videos of this game. Likewise, I don't see a consistent #K. The only thing that's consistent when people cry about "gen rush" is the same killer in match after match. To me, that says the problem is the killer just being good enough or not using the proper build. Otherwise, it would be consistently a #K for everyone, not just you.

  • I like the concepts and some of the suggested ones. I do think the meter range is a bit too high on most of them given that the maps are shrinking.

I don't understand any of this (and am happy to be educated about it) - why does the sexual orientation matter? It's not like the game revolves around making these kinds of life choices... it's about survival. Running from a killer! Where exactly is it relevant to wonder whether character X likes boys, girls, or boys and girls, etc? How does that effect gameplay?

And particularly on the subject of identification with the characters, how about this? We have multiple white characters, multiple black characters, and multiple oriental characters (if I can use that term), both in male and female varients. Where are the South-Asian-esque characters? People of a polynesian, or indian/middle-eastern background, where is their representation? When I play the game, there is literally no character that even comes close to resembling me in appearance - if it's about representation, surely this should be addressed first, before addressing factors that aren't even a part of the gameplay?

It doesn't affect gameplay. However, it can affect how someone feels about themselves. I'll explain . . .

It's important for people of marginalized groups to see themselves represented be it in a game, on television, in movies, in books, wherever.

    Why is it important?

Because when people don't see themselves represented, especially younger folks, they interpret that as something is wrong with them. They're not good enough to be included. They don't belong. They're bad and the "other" is better.

This very thing has historically and continues to lead to suicide. Imagine if all the media you consumed showed only people that were opposite and not like you at all. It could feel really lonely, depressing, etc.

Even if it's not mentioned in game and doesn't impact gameplay, it can make someone feel like they are okay.

I'm glad that BHVR will be inclusive.

  • I'm not sure what the reason is, but it is pretty annoying. I mean why do we have to Google something that could easily be listed on screen in game?

  • The amount of bugs in this game is unreal. Every patch introduces so many more and barely any critical ones are fixed. Most of the fixes are for map or visual bugs, not the bugs that really matter.

I've never played a game that had so many bugs. It feels like they don't use source control (saying this as an I.T. worker). I hope it changes in the future, because I too maybe become so tired of it that I quit.

  • The issue is that people feel like if you use NOED and end up with only getting kills after it activates, then you are being rewarded for not doing that well at the game and the survivors are not being rewarded for doing well at the game.

I can see using NOED if you are new, but after that, in its current state, it feels like a crutch.

Small changes to it would make it feel less like a cheap way to turn a loss into a win. I've seen many suggestions over the years, here are my favorite:

    • The exposed status only lasts for 60 secs.
    • The totem is lit the entire match.
    • A totem counter is added to the UI for all players.

I'm sure there will be posts imminently saying, "Well, you can't nerf NOED without nerfing Adrenaline." I honestly don't care if they nerf Adrenaline. They can if they want. I don't like perks that are situational and encourage not healing anyway.

  • The only thing that's needed is to either make Iron Will not be affected by Stridor OR not allow Spirit to run it.

If your ONLY counter to a killer is to run a specific perk (Iron Will) and then the killer just run another perk (Stridor) to counter yours, then there is a problem.

Other than that, the Spirit is fine as is. Games without Stridor involved are 50/50 like all matches should be.

  • @slunder said:

@Splinterverse well maybe make is so that everyone needs to be hooked once for the mori to be usable. If a survivor can hide, the mori is countered. This would bring strategy and it would be fine.

That could work too. Honestly, there are like 15 different options I've read about that would work. In fact, most of them would be relatively easy to implement. I'm really disappointed that BHVR hasn't put a priority on it.

I never said I camp or tunnel. You are just making stupid comments. Killers are the ones that should always play a certain way and if they don't, they are lazy and scummy. I'm sick of seeing this over and over. Survivors way of playing isn't the only way and if killers want to camp and tunnel, all the power to them. There are 5 players in a match and 4 players should have fun but the lonely one is always ignored and nobody cares about it.

Twist my words to suit your purposes. It's clear that you are the one making stupid and misinformed comments.

At no point did I say there was only one way to play killer. There are MANY ways to play killer. I was simply recommending that folks strive to better than a camper/tunneler/stalker and pointing out that it is too easy to play that way.

If anything I am sparing killers the constant toxicity they will receive in post-game chat if they camp/tunnel/etc. every match.

I'm sorry if you feel like everyone is against you as a killer player, but we're honestly not.

Using crutch perks and playing with 4man swf on comms is lazy AF.

Again, someone's had some bad matches.

SWF doesn't justify camping or tunneling. You don't know which matches are SWF and it's definitely not all of them.

Watch literally any video of a killer on YouTube. You don't need to camp and tunnel to win. You just don't. Like I said, there are circumstances where it makes sense, but if that's what you are doing every match, it's not the way to go. For one thing, you're just angering folks. For another, you're not really trying. If you can live with that, fine. But don't say you're great at this game or that you got to Rank 1 with any skill.

Then they should also ban combining second chance perks on survivors.

As I said, BHVR needs to open up to banning or restricting combinations. I'm fine with them using it on survivors as well. I mean No Mither + Self-Care anyone? lol

Ah, I just realized the basement would be a deathtrap without toolboxes. Yup, that's a no go.

The various effects from the gas already give you a reason not to touch it in a chase. Same goes for when it's sitting around. You'd have more reason not to run through it if outside a chase. It'd be serving it's purpose. Acting as a deterrent. I don't see any downside to that if I was playing as Clown.

Hey not ALL the clouds would linger. Only the most recent ones. It would reset the moment the Clown goes over the cap as to avoid lag an all that. So he'd have to choose between locking down an area, or having the advantage in a chase.

Glad we agree on Trapper. Your details of Clown make it sound reasonable to me now. Thanks!

  • @slunder said:

@Splinterverse well its the devs fault for not giving any answer and letting issues go rampant. This post would not exist if there was not this issue in the first place. And if you do not like subjects like that, do not click on the title when you see it. Boom, fixed. Moris would still be unbalanced if they were not used to tunnel: 1 third of the objective, gone, is not balanced at all. For keys, it would make them less unfair, I agree.

You are wrong about moris. If they can't use them until death hook, then mori'ing them is essentially the same as hooking them on death hook. The only thing it would prevent is body blocking, pallet stun or flashlight saves. Other than that, it would be identical to death hook hooking.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1428495#Comment_1428495

But who are you to judge or tell someone the way THEY NEED to play killer? People can play killer any way they feel. There is no damn rule book, and people need to learn that. Your going against a killer, who's goal is to hook and kill you as fast as possible. There's no rule book for survivor. They can hammer out gens as fast as they want, let each other know every step the killer takes, etc, etc. I always here survs also complain about killers always having to get the 4k, and that they should let the last guy go, but when RR SWFs take on a 16 rank killer, do they show mercy? Do they let the killer get a free kill? Hell no. They bully the ######### outta them until they either rage quit, or go afk.

Someone's had some bad matches as killer. Dang.

Sure, you can play that way, but is it really working that hard for the win? Is it really trying? No.

Survivors are not armed. Survivors don't have the ability to stun a killer anywhere they please on the map. If you camp, stalk, tunnel, you take away a survivor's chance to have a good game. Sure, you don't owe them anything, but in a game where survivors don't have weapons to fight back, you are taking the easy way out. Certainly there are cases where someone is toxic and deserves the punishment of being camped, but to do it every match? Naw, that's lazy AF. You "learn that" as you say.

  • I admire the sentiment, but for those of us who have been year for years, we've seen the pendulum swing one way or the other (survivor or killer). Your tolerance level for anything that bugs you is going to decrease over time if you keep facing the same issue over and over. It's like banging your head against a wall. Combine that with the fact that every patch introduces tons of new bugs and very few major ones get fixed in a timely manner, you have a situation where people are going to be unhappy. OP, if you can maintain the positive upbeat vibe for a long time, more power to you, but the jadedness that you are seeing develops over time (and with good reasons).

  • Let's be real. The PTB isn't about tweaking the patch. It's about making sure they don't introduce a bug that crashes the entire game or dramatically breaks it. Yes, there are bugs (always new bugs), but they are looking for major groundbreaking broken stuff not your (or my) complaints.

If they wanted to actually act on constructive feedback, they'd have to slow down their release schedule so as not to have to constantly churn out new content.

Personally, I'd just be happy if they attacked the bugs and started using source control to prevent them moving forward.

  • Ruin, in its original incarnation, ruined a lot of games of survivor because you couldn't rely on the people you were teamed with to actually hit the great skill checks.

Also, it was used so much that every game became so boring, annoying, and predictable. It didn't need to be that way to have a slowdown effect. The new Ruin is pretty good. I see it wrecking a lot of games, especially in combination with other perks or certain killers (like Legion).

  • What BHVR has to open up to is banning or restricting combinations of things. Like you can't run this perk if you also run that one.

A perfect use case for this is Spirit + Stridor. That should not be allowed unless they provide another counter to her that doesn't require a perk.

If your only counter is to run a specific perk (Iron Will) and then the killer can just run a perk (Stridor) that counters the counter, then a rework is needed.

Disagree all you want, but that's how it is.

(And before you flame. I've beaten many Spirits in my time, but as soon as Stridor is involved, it's 50/50 if I'm lucky.)

  • Another day, another thread on this topic. Sigh.

As I've said before, moris need to be changed to discourage tunneling. So, you can't mori someone unless they're on death hook. Boom. Fixed.

For keys, make them so that only one person can go through the hatch per key. Also make one of the rarities only spawn in chests in the trial itself (so that less of them would be in the bloodweb). Also fixed.

  • I like your Spirit suggestion but no to the Clown and Trapper ideas.

We have to be able to undo traps without an item. He can place them on exit gate locks for crying out loud. Also, think about a 1-gen room. He could literally trap a person inside or keep them out without taking the injury. Not cool. Trapper is fine after his most recent buff.

Clown needs work but your idea is no good. His gas has an exhaustion effect if the right addon is used. Having that linger is a no.

  • I don't mind The Game or Lery's, but Hawkins and Middlewich due need reworks.

Hawkins is just endless hallways that look the same. They need to make the rooms look different (like Middlewich).

Middlewich needs more vaults and more diverse gen placement. Also having the exit gates in the same place every time is OP for killers with fast movement.

  • @ClickyClicky said:

What would Ghostface and Wraith players do then though?

Also Hag could still get past it.

Seriously its a great idea but killer mains have veto powers so no never gonna happen

Ghostface and Wraith should do what they're supposed to do and not stalk/camp hooks. They don't need to if they run barbecue or discordance or any perk that gives them a clue where survivors are. If Ghostface and Wraith camp hooks, they're just being lazy and toxic honestly.

  • @Khroalthemadbomber said:

No. Oddly enough I haven't seen it with a Ghostface (yet).

  • None of the perks mentioned in this thread were used in the cases I mentioned. It also wasn't scratch marks. I'm seeing this happen in SWF matches where I have line of sight as well on my team. These are likely hacks.

  • The exit gates are the only thing I can consistently find on that map. Generators? No. Totems? Hell no.

The map needs a major rework.

Getting hit from far away is either your ping or the servers dying which can be seen when a killer swings where you stood several seconds ago.

Yes, but the ping can also be due to a killer VPNing, which needs to stop.

  • Billy did need changes. Billy mains are lucky they didn't ban the barbecue + Billy combo (or the tinkerer one). He frequently snowballs in solo queue due to folks not dodging bbq and solo survivors not having the opportunity to advise their teammates to do so.

He shouldn't be able to just use his power endlessly when other killers can't.

    These changes are long overdue.

  • OP no. This is a much needed change. The VPNing has to stop. Also you shouldn't be 10 feet from a killer and get hit by a melee M1.

You clearly have never played killer if you think that slugging/tunneling/camping aren't required.

There are circumstances where all 3 are justified.

Ps: Healing makes it more likely for you to survive and thus help you do your objective of escaping. While not technically required it greatly helps your objective enough that ignoring it in most circumstances to do gens is just rushing the gens while putting yourself at disadvantage in chases.

    LOL

They're not required. I've lost in many a match where the killer did none of those things. Once again, get gud and quit your whining before all the survivors leave.

These killer mains don't get it. It takes 4 times as many survivors as killers to have matches to play. If BHVR keeps alienating and angering survivors, there will be queue times that are worse than they are today.

Anecdotal evidence does not dismiss a widespread problem simply because you have not personally experienced it.

SWF has the possibility to have 16+ perks per person because of how much information they have over survivors who cannot communicate. This is objectively stronger than was intended, and refusing to acknowledge or balance it is only going to lead more killers to the breaking point of dropping the game when they encounter those people who do bully squads. Refusing to balance the most powerful things in the game simply because a majority are not using it is foolish and will lead to failure every single time.

It's also not fun for the people on the receiving end in the elos where that behavior is common. Being good at the game should not reward you with a toxic matchpool of abusive people.

All this from the jailed poster. They'll never nerf SWFs because streamers and people who play with their friends depend on them. At best, they'll continue to buff killers and release OP ones further screwing over solo survivors. This will eventually lead to survivors quitting (as they have already begun to do so). Crossplay will bring up the numbers for a while, but if the killer preference of BHVR continues, that won't help for long. I know you'll disagree, but I honestly don't care. Enjoy the jail time!

I have to point this out since you apparently haven't noticed it: It took years of straight up nerfs for survivors to be brought in line and not be the power role. Even now, with ALL OF THESE NERFS, SWF groups are still the power role.

Tell me what is balanced when you can have squads of people whose main objective is to bully the killer.

I did mention the nerfs in another post in this thread and there was a time when the game was survivor sided.

That said, balancing around any one type of play is only going to imbalance another type of play.

SWF are uncommon AND I can say from having played in my fair share of SWF matches, that the objective is not to bully the killer. The objective is to survive and escape while having fun chatting.

I can honestly say I've only ever seen the bullying once in one match and I didn't play with that person again after that.

Tell me what is balanced when you can have squads of people whose main objective is to bully the killer.

We all have to accept that this game cannot be balanced. There are too many groups to balance for that have entirely different needs: new players, veteran players, solo queue, SWF, red ranks, green ranks, etc.

BHVR can't possibly balance for one of those groups without screwing over another group.

They can't get rid of one of those groups because they've been around so long and people would riot.

So, we're stuck with a game that is balanced around 2 escapes and 2 kills (or so they say).

I play a ton of games and other than when matchmaking is off (which is often at present), there is a good mix of 4k, 3k, 2k, 1k, 0k. I don't feel like it's heavy in one direction or not. I play with different teams every day (SWF and solo). I also play killer sometimes. I really don't see any situation where it's consistently a 4k or a 0k unless the matchmaking is broken for that match (or series of matches).

I also watch a TON of Youtube and Twitch content. In that content, I'm not seeing it always being a #k. It varies from match to match. There's not one consistent #k.

Add to the above that you get AFK killers or farmers in the mix as well.

I wish it would be easy to balance or we had different queues for different groups (but I have yet to hear any good idea on how to implement that that either won't be exploited or drive away a good portion of the player base).

    Gotta agree

Gen rush is a thing, cmon @Splinterverse

You clearly are a surv main

Gotta play both sides at rank 1 for months to understand that the situation is not like u described

    LOL

    I have played both sides.

If people are complaining of gen rush it's because they are facing a good team and perhaps aren't as good at the game as they should be as a killer.

The speeds are the slowest they've ever been (not accounting for busted original Ruin). You don't have toolboxes now. You have gens running slower when stacked. You've got plenty of perks. Literally watch killer videos or play as either role and you'll experience people defeating good and bad teams of survivors.

I'm a rank 1 survivor and I regularly see 4Ks and lower as well as escapes. The only time it is not really even is when the matchmaking is jacked up (which is very frequent these days).

Asking to nerf the gen speeds means you need to get better at the game. BHVR is going to add something to further slow down the beginning of the match because so many of you have been crying like babies about this. Like I said, it better be reasonable, or there won't be any survivors left to kill.

You can wish me out of this game all you want, but I'm speaking the truth.

Survivors have had their items and perks nerfed repeatedly. They've also had map nerfs. And each new killer is more and more OP. Tunnelhead can tunnel without penalty. Deathslinger's terror radius is busted. Ghostface can one-shot you without having a terror radius. Doctor was supposed to be less annoying and is now more so. Freddy is as obnoxius AF with his 500 powers. If your favorite killer can't cut it, switch to one that can until they fix it.

Again, keep being a whiny killer main (which BHVR caters to), and you'll see the survivors leave in droves. I've seen tons of people quit with each patch. Maybe they're going with cross play because they can see it coming.

I can see the survivor main that you are, next time I see "nerf noed, nerf irri head, nerf ph, nerf any killer in general, nerf any killer addon, nerf any perk" I will just translate it to "I suck as a survivor".

    Same thing

    Be my guest. :)

Gen rushing is doing generators above all else.

there are games where its more or less required such as playing against iri head/belt Huntress or perma tier 3 Michael sense healing becomes a non factor in those games.

However if your doing gens over healing or doing totems heck I have seen it over doing hook saves when the killer wasn't camping me(The killer was chasing the obession so the spiderlegs were twitching on their icon) aka rushing the gens over everything else then it is objectively a gen rush.

The difference is you don't NEED to do any of the things you mentioned to get the gates powered. You NEED to do gens. Call it a gen rush if it makes you feel better but it is how the game is designed to move forward to the end-game collapse. These comparisons to slugging/tunnelling/camping are false because they are not REQUIRED or NEEDED to cause end-game. They work, but are NOT required. So, again, if it makes you feel better to cry Gen Rush, go for it. I'm done reasoning with killers who suck.

    lol

    That's a hole other argument

The problem here is the start of the game

Devs aknowledged that and they're going to implement the new feature

    Accept it

The problem is real and exists

Gen rushing is not a thing. The goal is to escape. You can't escape without doing gens (unless you go for hatch which is not an every match goal).

The devs are bringing something to the start of the match (since they listen to the constant whining of killer mains). You better hope it's not aggregious, because if it is, there won't be any survivors left to kill.

Survivors already have all of their items nerfed, the killer-sided end-game collapse, and killers with 400 different abilities because people suck without them being OP.

Good killers can get the job done in the current state. Keep whining if you're not good and see what happens to the player base.

Slugging and tunneling help you do your objective faster as a killer so I disagree with you.

You slug to buy yourself time because "genrush" doesn't exist according to you.

You tunnel because it's easier to play against 3v1 than a 4v1.

Justify it however you like . . . it doesn't change the fact that slugging and tunneling are NOT required. Call it gen rush all you want. It's the objective. It has to be done to get the gates open. At this point, any time I see "gen rush" I will just translate it as "I suck as killer" because that's what it comes down to.

Neither does tunneling and slugging then. Since that's just being efficient in doing the only objective killers have.

The difference is that tunneling and slugging are NOT required to get your objective done. Do they work? Sure. Are they required? No.

If the objective is to survive and escape, you need to do gens. Doing what is required to escape is not rushing.

    Lullaby lmao.

Also ruin does nothing if you don't get off the gen.

None of the perks work if you suck as a killer. Learn how to use them to your advantage. Combine Ruin with Surveillance. Combine Lullaby with Thanataphobia and get those hits and hooks. Watch any video of a good killer and you'll see a ton of ways to get the job done. Claiming "gen rush" is just like screaming "I suck as a killer."

There's no such thing as tunneling or camping. It's called doing the objective.

Gotta love these killer mains. Killers who suck so bad that they have to complain about gen speed. And when they don't get their way, they throw "camping" and "tunneling" into the mix.

Bud, the difference is that camping and tunneling are visible to everyone. You can see a killer camping. You can see a killer avoid other targets to tunnel another. With imaginary gen rush, people are literally doing what the tutorial tells them to do! Get over it already.

Its not a must. Hatch exists. You could just wait until your mates die. Also even if they are the objective, it still would be Genrushing. You can rush your objective too.

Its stupid to say genrushing doesnt exists just because they are the objective. (which they arent neccesary)

You still COULD do other things and if you refuse to do that, that would be ,,objective rushing > Genrushing"

That is the most ridiculous argument to try and prop up your point of view. Wait until the hatch spawns? Sure. That's fun. Sounds like hiding in a bush until the end. Super fun game dude.

Get real. If you care at all about your team (SWF or otherwise), you are going to do the objectives. The only reason it ever "feels" like a "gen rush" is whether the team is good or not. A bad team will screw around and not focus on the objectives. A good team will just do a generator until interrupted so that they can survive by escaping. Your point is ludicrous. Wait for hatch! Lol. Killer mains crack me up.

Gens arent really your objective. Surviving is your objective.

You coule say Gens are a side objective like totems, chests etc.

If you just do gens instead of totems, healing or whatever else, then its the definition of ,,genrushing"

    No. You are incorrect.

By "surviving", I'm assuming you mean escaping.

You can't escape without doing gens.

You can escape without touching a totem, a chest, or entering a chase.

There's no such thing as gen rush. It's called doing the objective. It's a must. This game could be re-titled generator repair simulator because we have to do gens every match and for a large portion of it.
