Imagine playing a board game and halfway through sombody rolls bad on a dice and just stand up and leaves.
That's what DCing is. It ruins the game for everyone else who agreed to play it.
And i don't know about you but if a person did that in my boardgame session 2-3 times he just wouldn't be invited anymore
-
What would stop me from just selecting the challenge and not completing it?
Thereby unlocking the character permanently. After a while you could get all the characters for free
-
Sweatlord/lady kinda lost it's meaning.
I've been called out for sweating with my fire up/brutal strength/bamboozle Legion. Some people call anything that's not purpossally losing sweating nowadays
-
I didn't even know openhanded stacked.
That sounds insane with kindred Why don't swfs do this? That's tabs on the killer in a 48m radius around the hook
-
Its especially nice as with a yellow medkit you don't have to waste addons for charges.
Add in speed and you can heal 2 times a match in the blink of an eye and still be able to heal at the end of a match to take a hit for the last hooked person
-
Waiting for the addonpass when she get it, actually kind of surprising clown got changed first
I'm hoping that they change it so only the last hatchet that gains the instadown while removing the penalty to max hatchets. That way it the huntress decides to waste time to get to one hatchet atleast it will be obvious so you can tell she has it.
I also hope they play with her lullaby more. Hoping for an addon that makes lullaby affected by terror radius perks. Would be interresting

If anything this shows why bloodlust has to be removed. You picked up so many bad habbits because of it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPExWQ5_UjY&t=394s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8u0jRxN2kQ
I recommend watching these, they will help you a lot. The reason you are having troubles right now is because of bloodlust teaching you the game wrong
-
Because it's still fun. The game really isn't as unbalanced as people say it is. as long as you play with moderation and don't let frustration build up it's an amazing game. The only good one of it's kind tbh
-
Personally i even see this as a buff for newer killers.
Bloodlusting a survivor is a losing strategy as the others are being left alone way to long and that the game rewards you really brings the wrong message to newer players.
There are people who think that you are suppose to play the game one chase at a time
Look at any top player and you'll see bloodlust triggering little to no time. Bloodlust litterally teaches new players bad habits, which then leads to complaints about 15 minute match genrushing cause they see the game as number of 1v1s rather then a 1v4
If weaker killers struggle after the removal then i would rather them buff those killers in another way
But having a mechanic that teaches a losing strategy is not a good idea imo.

I mean survivors can already see through the entire map
and they have billions informational perks
and there's a legit way to say ######### you no communication design
The perks are a cost. "If you want information you have to use recources mentallity"
Again a joke statement with swf being there but i feel they still want to hold on to their original vision of the game while just ignoring swf and seeing it as a nececarry evil to keep the game popular
Don't get me wrong, absolutly love the idea, just saying the probable reason why this isn't in the game already

If it would be really designed to be played like this, then external voice chat programs would be blacklisted.
Waste of time, blacklist a voice chat program and people will just do it over the phone. Why bother going through a lengthy process if people can circumvent it that easilly
-
1) I didn't think it was bad to begin with, it almost never triggered with me so i won't miss it
2) I feel tbh that this is a good change for killers. How? Cause bloodlust promoted a losing strategy of only focussing on one target for a long period of time.
Now that they can't maybe more people will learn to cut chases short and realise that half the genrush issues are because of them being tunnelvissioned rather then the survivors being optimal on gens
3) that said there are some loops aroumd where bloodlust level 1 can still help so maybe keep that. Personally i would remove it all but that's more because it gives a chance for beast of prey to be reworked into something usefull then for bloodlust itself.
4) pretty bad but did start a vampire campaign with a friend i hadn't seen in a while so it ended on a high note
-
Well the reason is because the game is intended to be played with a lack of communication.
Yes i know a joke statement with swf being what it is but it is what it is.
-
I ussually don't bother. Also unpopular oppinion i find the hatch (outside of the slugging) to be pretty wel balanced
It gives hope to the last survivor but is pretty much in favor of the killer (faster movement speed, no fear of travel, can close the hatch before the survi or can jump in if found closed at the same time)
Gameplay wise it stops the last survivor from hiding all the time, lore wise it gives hope which the entity feeds on and design wise most old slasher movies have the last person surviving and this is a good way to emulate it.
It's pretty hard to fix the slugging problem though. The only thing i can think of is to decrease the max timer for every survivor dying. But that will give problems with DS where the killer will either has to let the survivor bleed out or be forced to eat the DS.
-
Yeah i agree, and the increased missed attack cooldown is indeed needed so you can't combine it with unrelenting and go faster around the map then normal by lunging constantly.
This would be so much better
-
Viktor changes look amazing.
Coup de grace change was weird. It's really bad. I would probably not even pick the perk if the 60% extra range was permanent, let alone with only 5 uses in a losing match
-
People just jump to reworks way to fast. A few tweaks and an addon pass is all they need. I actually really enjoy the power of the Legion and i'm not alone. Legion is no where near bad enough to warrent a complete rework
-
Are there seriously people who believe that there are people that would bother to die on purpose just to change the outcome of some test? or rather enough to make a difference. People really don't comprehend just how many folks play this game do they?
-
When i started out i have done this a couple of times to get better at chases.
Find a good looper and chase him all the time to see what works and what doesn't.
Obviously threw those matches but i believe it made me better

it is a god loop until you do. If you can break a door that doesn't make it not a door because you can. God loops just shouldn't be in the game period, even if its a one use one. You're forcing killers into a another lose lose situation.
With that logic shack is an infinite once the pallet is down if you don't break it.
These "god loops" are the equivalent to a survivor insta throwing a pallet, except even worse as you can break it before the survivors gets there.
The old actual god loops had no counter outside of leaving them or going through the whole thing and losing instantly. They were actual safe havens. these ones you break the wall, you go back to pressuring gens and laugh as everybody that goes to them is almost certainly getting hit
Calling these loops that outright become death zones after a 2 seconds animation god loops is a joke. honestly makes me think you never experienced the old god loops.

Then you should have no problems with them removing it.
That ... that was what i'm implying when i said it's pretty terrible
I indeed don't
-
I love how in all of these the answer is also in the frame.
It is NOT a godloop is you can make it unsafe in 2 seconds

Twisted on that one.
If you want to put in the effort and learn Nurse, you can basically become unstoppable. If you become good with her, you will lose a pretty low amount of games.
But I would agree that it is not needed anymore. Lets say you win 99 out of 100 games with Nurse, you would probably win 90-95 games with Spirit, if you become good with her, while not putting as much effort in learning Spirit. Heck you can even go for Freddy and win like 85-90 games, without much effort at all.
But if you want to play the best a Killer can play, you want to learn Nurse. But now there are more options available.
But I wont say that she is overrated, she is without a doubt the strongest Killer.
Yeah, she probably is but i have yet to see it.
It's hard to believe nurse being the strongest killer when i can count the number of times i died to her on one hand.
More telling of the skill of the nurse players i played against then the actual strength of the nurse but the point still stands.
Are there even recent video's of nurse doing really well against good players? None of the content creaters i watch play her much anyway.
I would love to be proven wrong but from my own personal experience I've never encountered a god nurse and the last time i saw a good nurse on video was shortly after she was reworked.
Purelly in theory it's obvious she's really strong cause she ignores most of the survivors defences. I just don't believe she is the unstoppable force most people claim her to be.
-
I'm pretty sure BHVR creates trusted members in their basements.
Don't quote me on that though
-
Bloodlust is pretty terrible, if this leads to other changes that actually help then I'm for it
-
I personally think nurse is insanly overrated. I feel people are still thinking about old 5 blink nurse when they talk about her.
She's strong ofcourse but i feel people put her on the top with little to no thought. People only think about god nurses that end matches in 5 minutes.
And the only god nurses i've ever seen are the people who play this game for a living who can also 4k with perkless addonless trapper with little effort. And it's not recently too
A spirit in my oppinion can do most things nurse can do with half the effort and with not nearly as manny bugs.
-
Lol the only threads I've seen about it so far are memeing with it.
Litterally almost no-one cares
-
I never really noticed bloodlust effecting my games much so meh.
Going to suck on midwich though
But if this leads to beat of ptey being reworked i won't complain
-
In general though if you go tinkering with configs it's always a good habbit to copy the original somewhere. Just to be on the safe side
-
Because survivors are already at their strongest at the start of a match.
Also judging from the numbers you didn't put much thought into this. I don't think you can reach 50% more speed with any kind of build let alone 1 perk.
In short giving the survivos a speed boost to gens when they are at a point in the game where the killer has zero pressure is a horrible horrible idea
-
I did it in 4 matches, even giving the hatch at some point.
If you have a challenge that will be done eventually with no effort anyway why tryhard it?
-
Zanshin Tactics, trust me
-
Ouch, now there is a challenge I'm just going to outright skip, i hate playing Billy
That said for somebody who's hand-eye cordination doesn't just crash the second they rev a chainsaw this should be doable right?
-
I think if he get's reported by the same person multiple times it can be argued for a case of griefing
Outside of that i don't think it's bannable
-
Maybe ending the 1v3 as quickly as possible to get into a real match? That's one reason why i might not show any mercy after a DC.
other then that i do find it strange, you can get so much more points against a 3v1 with just slowing down a bit even without farming, perfect time for the mori after 2 hooks to get the most bp you can
-
I mean everything is op in the hands of a squirrel. Even a useless one trumps everything a human can do

I-
I expected many things but never expected people hating on diversity in dbd because they have struggle to find her lol
Lol, People hate her dark skin colours as in her outfits. Not her actual skin colour.
Nobody complains about adam or tapp blending in well. It's only really claudette who has both a darker skin and darker clothing that allows her to become very hard to see when she sits still in a dark corner.
This is nothing to do with diversity
-
Legion's, I like that the survivor is actually trying to fight back instead of just sitting there and taking it
-
Gain 1 bp everytime someone gives you props
-
Because the skins i got look good and i want to support this game

None of that matters anyway in a match where it’s within mere seconds that the killer is already on me.
I’m not talking about being the first found because of the higher likelihood of already having reached the middle of the match after some time. This is about the frustration of being almost immediately spotted once the match starts. I haven’t even had a chance to properly process where exactly where I’ve spawned in a particular map and get my orientation right inside my mind.
It shouldn't even be a frustration, the terror radius is there for a warning and gives you more then enough time to find a tile to run. As long as you don't spawn in the killers face it's all fair play
And anytime you attempt to hide especially when you don't know exactly where the killer is you are taking a gamble and you shouldn't throw a hissy fit because that gamble didn't work out
Sometimes the spawns work in the survivors favor and they can complete a gen before the killer can physically get there, sometimes they work in the killers favor and they get an early chase. Neither scenario means you lost
Sorry but you lost any chance at sympathy when you confessed to ruin the match for 3-4 other people for something that boils down to a minor inconvience.
I agree that spawn points can really work against you sometimes but to throw a game for that is just petty.
If you can't handle frustration well then do yourself a favor and don't have 2 hour sessions of a multiplayer pvp game where there will always be some kind of frustration if you aren't winning.
This sounds more of a case that you needing to learn your limit and when not to join another match instead of letting the frustration build up and end up ruining the game for multiple people, completly destroying your mood to then rant on the forums where people not agreeing with you just make you more frustrated
This is not the first time you start ranting over something completelly minor, seriously learn your limit this isn't healthy
Find a more relaxing game you can play when dbd becomes to much. I never play this game for more then an hour at once and I always make sure i have something to do when dbd isn't working out for this exact reason

I want to try and get to the centralised gens before the other idiots cause a 3 gen getting too eager with gens on one side of the map. But I can get there if I approach recklessly can I?
Yeah i can understand that but then you shouldn't be surprised you run into the killer. Most killers spawn at one side and go straight to the furthest gen throught the middle. Right where you are going.
Risk reward, you avoid the 3gen that way but you are putting yourself in harms way by being in the center of the map. Usually that gen will be where the strongest loops are and that's where people will run to while being chased.
Personally i wouldn't think about the 3 gen situation untill after the first couple of gens are done. Creating safe spots where the killer doesn't want to chase or patrol is way more important i feel.
-
Honestly the best advice I could give you is to run OoO for 10-20 matches and do nothing but getting chased
Not everyone can be a godlooper, but to be afraid of getting chased when all the resources are available means that the last thing you should do is avoiding chases.
This game is first and formost a cat and mouse chase game. Stealth has it's place but not at the start of the match when survivors are at their strongest.
Honestly forget about stealth at the start, if you aren't on a gen/totem, running to said gen or totem or running to the strongest tile to bait the killer into a long chase you are hurting your team.
Stealth is later when the resources are starting to run low and/or you're on deathhook
-
There is an offering that will make you spawn furtest away from a killer
Also windows of oppertunity. Best survivor perk in the game. Never be caught with your pants down again no matter how quickly the killer finds you
Other then that go along side the side of the map to the other side where the killer probably spawned or just go to the strongest tile of the map and accept the probably 3 gen chase if the killer takes the bait
Bassicly if you avoid the open and stay away from the furtest generators where the killer most likely spawned and chances are higher you won't get caught first
Hook suiciding cause you got found 10 seconds into the game is most certainly not the answer and raises the question if you shouldn't take a break if the slightest inconvience causes you to hate the game enough to instantly leave

These are already in the rift though
Yeah but they are a one and done kind of deal. During the trapper tome i saw unnerving presence once and a while. After that almost never again.
Putting perks in daillies too would make it more interresting i feel. Especially seeing how if you don't want to you can just reroll them
-
@Slendy4321 said:
People run what they want to run. Disabling perks would make that unenjoyable for those people. Maybe make daily challenges to try out certain perk combos? Would love to see that and they would get free bloodpoints for just trying it out, I feel like that would be the only way for them to change the meta. Probably
Adding dailly challenges based on perks would be amazing. Allows me to still play my main but with a twist
-
I have found no reason to turn it off so it's on
-
Telling people what they can or can not play is not a very enjoyable experience.
Best way is to make more things viable so people want to change
Also imagine you have a challenge to play as a killer you don't normally play and the only perks you have for them get blocked after 2 tries of the challenge.
-
It's an exploit turned into a feature, not bannable in any means though so you're good.
-
Both sides are pretty hard to learn and take skill, people just often forget cause everything is easy after putting in hundered to thousands of hours
Nurse is overrated and not even a little bit
Legion is fine outside of some QoL and small buffs.
People ask for reworks way to often, most things in this game can be fixed with slight tweaks rather then taking a year to rework, not to mention robbing the original design. There are people who miss the og freddy gameplay, however bad it was
-
Can we wait untill the month is done?
